Hi, wondering if I can get a community opinion. I bought a Samsung CRG90 49" Ultrawide from Amazon recently and it's boxed up in my hall waiting for a return collection. As they had no stock to replace it, I re-ordered a fresh one from AO.com. Both have suffered from the same problem - a clicking/popping noise for a good 30 mins when turned on. Then it's fine. Then when you're ready to go to bed, you turn off the monitor, and lots of popping and cracking going off again for 30 mins or so. I've read posts suggesting it's due to the plastic casing contracting and expanding due to heat. Samsung support have told me twice now the monitor shouldn't do this. AO are awaiting more stock before they can replace this one. I may be fulfilling the definition of insanity here by doing the same thing and expecting different results. Does anyone own a CRG90 and NOT have this problem? Do I have any hope of obtaining a CRG90 without this defect? Or is it something you should expect to live with. You can watch a recording I made here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/xv35YSxnfQ9d6iFA7 You'll here the distinct pop at 00:38, 00:52, 01:06, 1:20, 1:28, 1:34, 1:46, 1:52, 1:59, 2:16, 2.23, 2:36, 2:41.....and so on. I absolutely love this monitor. There's not many alternatives to its spec. But I'm not sure I can accept a £900 monitor with this kind of defect. But for all I know, maybe ALL ultrawides suffer from this problem. Though I would've though I'd have seen more than a few reddit comments. Either way, I was mainly hoping I could benefit from some community experience with this and other ultrawide monitors. Having had two editions of this monitor in two weeks with the same problem, I'm a little bit sceptical the next one won't suffer the same issue. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks

I know it sounds a bit stupid but I just got a new 27GL850 and while removing the soft bag around it, the monitor made a pretty loud cracking/snapping sound. Everything seems to be fine, can’t find any visible cracks. So I’m curious and worried what that could have been and if anyone experienced something similar.

Hello all, I have recently brought a 2nd hand ASUS VG236 monitor and really enjoy it, however it occasionally makes small or big cracking or popping sounds, not sure if it would be internals or the plastic structure, I ruled out the spring that was on the stand as it is now wall mounted and it still continues to make these sounds. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, yesterday I got a JBL Charge 4 from a pretty famous site in my country. I was very satisfied with it until today. I discovered that while I press the volume up or volume down button on my phone the speaker makes a cracking sound, but only in certain songs. The sound quality is great for me, but I am not really a speaker person, so everything sounds great to me. I don't have any other issues with the speaker. I really dont want to return it just for that, because the whole process is really long and annoying. The problem is not big at all, but it's one of those things that are just annoying. I hope someone here can help me fix it. Here is a video of the problem

hello guys!! i bought a week ago new soundcard "Creative Sound Blaster Z" and got a lot of cracking and popping sound problems.. i tried so much drivers and some times i got fixed it for like 30 mins and it came back.. now i have seen a lot of people having the same problem, and i finally fixed everything and got no problems anymore last 4 days. So i wanna share what i did to fix this, 1. First you have to be sure that intergrated audio is disabled in bios! 2. after that go to your software and apps (right mous button on start and click on Apps And Parts) and remove/uninstall Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 3. now go to this file location "C:\Windows\System32\drivers" and find this 2 files hdaudbus.sys & HdAudio.sys, and go to properties and go to security and you now have to give the user account all rights to then block access to the system follow these pics | picture 1 | Picture 2 | Picture 3 4. go to this location "C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\Audio\HDA" if you can't find the folder Realtek just create it and for \Audio\HDA the same after that you have to go to properties off HDA and go to security and choose edit and disable all the rights for System Follow this pic! | Picture 1 | Picture 2 | Picture 3 5. Follow these last 2 Pictures | Picture 1 | Picture 2 6. now you going to install This SoundBlaster Z driver and restart your pc and it should work! I am running Windows 10 Version 1709 HERE YOU SEE TEST RUNNING FOR 25 MINS WITH LatencyMon

Hey guys, long time viewer of the channel, first time forum user. I've been having an ongoing problem with my computer for a while. When I first built it everything was fine, but after a while (really started to notice it after about a year) I started to notice a crackling/popping sound that would happen in youtube videos. It can happen at random but it seems to happen most when theirs a change in tone/volume within the video. At first it would only happen in certain videos (bad encoding/rendering I guess?), but it started to effect every video to some degree after a while, it even effects games if it gets bad enough. Ive tested if it was just my speakers (cheap walmart ones) by switching to my headphones (sennheiser game zero's) but the problem persists pretty much the same between both. I've tried changing every setting you can imagine, reinstalled drivers, messed around in the bios, and even reinstalled windows and nothing has helped. After all that I thought maybe it was the chipset on my motherboard, so I upgraded my motherboard (and had to upgraded my cpu and ram at the same time as both were incompatible with the new motherboard) but the problem persists. Its maybe a little better right now but seems to be getting worse again and I only changed all those components maybe two weeks ago. Google isnt helping anymore as it all the same stuff I was trying before, so I finally decided to create a thread of my own. The only idea I have left is that it might be a power supply issue but that seems unlikely as im not having any other problems related to power supply, everything else runs just fine with no hiccups. Really hoping you guys can give me some advice, I dont want to just throw money at the problem and hope it goes away. My PC specs as they are now are as follows: MSI Z 390 A Pro Intel i5 9600k 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200Mhz DDR4 EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3 EVGA SuperNOVA g2 650W 80+ Gold Fractal Design Meshify C case Dell S2716DG monitor Samsung 860 Evo 500gb SSd (this is the main boot drive and the one that I reformatted when I reinstalled windows) Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM (this is a storage drive) Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks in advance.

Howdy Nerds, I'm planning to build a home server rig for password cracking but I'm not sure about building a server rig. I have built a Gaming rig 6-7 months ago but still, I'm not sure about this rig. my gaming rig isn't capable of running hashes faster .I found out that founders edition do better than gaming GPU for Hashcat like services. I'm not sure about what PSU/case/processor/water cooling I should use. I'm a little bit worried about GPU's running 24/7 .i thought if someone could just give me some advice on this build. my budget is around $12K. Thanks in advance !!!!

I have this really annoying popping/crackling sound coming from my audio, it appears that it comes forth when using any form of program/app-related audio. It is extremely annoying and very present when listening to constant sounds such as Spotify or while gaming, however it doesn't appear as frequently or rather next to nothing when doing browser related stuff like streaming or watching Youtube. The popping is especially sharp when audio is cut off/interrupted, for ex. when i pause a youtube video, then it is easily noticed. Here is a video showing an example, as seen in it the popping only appears when listening to the program section, but not when listening directly to the headphones. Video link: The popping/crackling that appears in the video when i press the volume slider for "Systemljud" aka system sound, is extremely prevalent in many programs, PUBG, Spotify, Wolfenstein 2, Vermintide 2 and etc. I'm not sure if it came before or after i got a new PC a some months, back I can't quite remember but I'm pretty sure that it was there back then as well. At first i thought it was my old headset (Steelseries siberia 800) but it is present in my new headphones as well. (Audio Technica AD700x) What I have tried: Updating drivers switching headphones switching headphone jack tried a USB adapter to which I'm pretty sure uses a small soundcard to convert 3.5mm jacks into USB changing format quality (currently running my lowest 44100hz 16 bit) removing any "improvements" under audio configurations and a bunch of other small random things like changing energy/power options in windows for example. I have also tested out latency with DPC Latency but it gave me a very inconsistent read and since i was unfamiliar with the procedure I didn't really count too much on it, maybe I should...? My guess is that windows 10 is having some sort of issue, but I just can't figure out what it is. Please type in any theory or suggestion, thank you! Specs: GTX 1080ti Strix ROG (oc using ASUS gpu tweaker) i7 7700k kaby lake (oc to 4.7ghz) 16gb Corsair vengeance 3200mhz (clocked at 3200mhz) ASUS Strix Z270E Gaming Motherboard

So for a reason that is not important I needed to use a hairdryer on my motherboard and I noticed that when I heat up the backside of my motherboard it makes a not so loud crack sound. The sound came when I heated up the backside of my mobo with the pc powered off and unplugged. Is this anything to worry about?

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. First post on this forum so apologies if I have done anything incorrectly. A couple of years back I built my first PC, but after a year I ran into some issues. My PSU (Corsair RM650x) kept making like popping noises every time I switched my extension block on. Sometimes, flashes of light would appear at the back of the PSU - as if it was arching. I naively just carried on with things because I didn't have the time to do any investigating. However, inevitability, a few weeks later the computer would not turn on. I contacted Corsair, and through the RMA process I got a brand new RM650x sent out. However, a year later - the same problem is happening again. When I switch my extension block on there is a popping noise coming from the back of the PSU, and sometimes a flash of light - as if it is arching (again). My extension block (4-way Belkin surge protected) is plugged into the wall behind my desk and is hard to reach, so is left permanently on at the wall. The block itself has a switch on it. I switch this off when I am finished using my PC. However, switching it back on this causes this popping noise to happen. Is it possible that something is building up inside the capacitors when the PSU/extension block is powered off for a while? Thus, causing this sudden discharge / popping when being turned back on? Any help would be hugely appreciated, thank you.

I cracked my Screen, Brought it to a local shop to have it replaced, I didnt want to pull out the kit and replace it myself. I am in the middle of house renos etc. A few days after, I booted up overwatch while on the late shift, and noticed splintering, It started out as minor, looking like a ball had hit a window from a focal point, and from there it spread out. from the Aiming reticule. MSI GP63MVR, Leopard Pro, Laptop, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 Normal operation for work is fine, anything higher FPS, gets bad. Thoughts? Did they not connect the harness back? properly? broke the pins? I had zero issues before. So if it is something major, I will be taking it up with them to correct. B4EB578A-CFBA-4493-9220-C16AD2BCBA5A.mov

I've had my corsair H80i for a couple years now and it has been creating popping/cracking sounds more and more. it used to be silent but now it's very noticable (See video) The speed of the fans isn't what it used to be and my RGB lighting doesn't show the blue anymore. Is it air trapped inside the loop or is it a hardware fault? Does anybody have a fix? Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0W9dDt2308

I've had my Logitech G27 for just over a week now. Today, the clutch pedal started making a weird noise when it passes a certain point while being pressed or released. It's like a pretty loud "crack" or even "tick". Is this a known problem? Does anybody know a solution for this? This issue was certainly not there before. Could it potentially be the weather? It has been a pretty hot day here today (about 28°C), so maybe some of the components started expanding? The pedal still works fine but it's just a pretty disturbing noise, as it sounds kinda bad and i pay attention to it all the time now :D . The other pedals don't seem to have this problem (yet?).
