HWinfo says my cpu max temperature is 95°C, so I wondered whether either HWinfo can be wrong or why my cpu is that hot and what normal thermals are for idle and load.

Hey gamers, Recently finished building a pc (parts list below), and I've run into an issue where the cpu is running much hotter than research seems to indicate is normal. Wondering if anyone has any ideas what could be wrong or if they have any suggestions. So far I've tried: Checking case airflow (currently intaking from front and pushing air out through back/top) reinstalling cpu cooler/re-applying thermal paste Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hey all, Ryzen 1700 (which I've dropped back to stock while investigating this; around 1.1v - was 3.7Ghz all core OC with same voltage) on a B350 motherboard with a Corsair H100i V2 AIO cooler now mounted in the top of my case, which is approximately 2.5 years old (I was actually a replacement unit for the older H100 which I RMA'ed and they sent me this). I've noticed over the past month or so, that my load temps were getting really hot while encoding in Handbrake; ranging anywhere between 85-95c+ at which point it would shutdown to save itself. My idle temps used to be around 35c and load temps around 65c-75c which I was happy with. Over this past month or so I've moved my AIO from the front of my case (and had 2x120mm in the top of my case for VRM cooling) and swapped them around: AIO in the top, fans in the front. This seemed to do the trick and temps were back under control... ...Until I turn my PC on this morning and at idle it's around 50c-55c, and load is headed 90c+. I lightly tapped/knocked the top of my case, and therefore the radiator, and immediately my temps dropped back to an acceptable range. There is no knocking or sound coming from my AIO that I can hear. Is it a sign of air bubbles in the system? If so, can I do anything about it, or could I keep tapping it a few times to see if it clears by itself? Should I seriously think about replacing it? (I doubt I'd be covered for it as it was an RMA replacement unit). TIA

Hello everyone, i just got a brand new build - i7 6700k (not overclocked) - Asus Z170-A Motherboard - CoolerMaster Hyper212 Evo - Kingston Hyper Fury 2666 Mhz - EVGA Geforce 970 SSC the First thing i did was a Small FFTs stresstest using Prime95 version 28.5 at idle my Cpu Temp was about 31/33 C but the temps started to spike from 69 to over 84 Celcius while stresstesting after doing some research i found out my CPU VCORE was at 1.300V (default bios settings) so i changed it too 1.200V and noticed my temps went 10C to 20C lower (around 60C to 74C) using Prime95 and at idle my CPU Temp is around 25C to 33C now but i still wasnt satisfied with the Temps on FULL LOAD! i came across a troubleshoot article where someone said i should be using Prime95 version 26 So i tried that, and noticed the CPU Temps decreased to max 62C at Full Load using P95 v.26 - Small FFTs test So now my Questions are.... 1. which of the Prime95 versions are Correct or Better? (why does it have a 10C to 20C difference using the same SMALL FFTs TEST) 2. as soon as i start the Test the cpu temps spike up from 30C -idle- to 55C/59C instead of slowly moving up too 40/50/60C etc using both Versions is this normal with an i7 6700k and if not, how can i fix this? 3. should i lower my CPU VCORE even more to have lower temps ? (im a noob so forgive if i ask Dumb questions) im running at 4.00 Ghz stock (not overclocked) 4. and last, is there anyone who has the same motherboard and cpu who can recommend better Bios settings or Tips on howto set the right settings? cause im totally new with mid/ to highend hardware components and the -over a 100 New- bios options? do i need to adjust some bios settings by default when purchasing an i7 6700k? I really want my Build to be perfectly stable, specially when its not overclocked i hope someone can help me with this.. i thank you all in advance

Im about to build a new workstation, ive currently selected a ''Be quite! pure base 600'' but im worried about cpu temps as im going to have a fair amount of juice running through it. i know there are better cases out there but im finding it hard to find ones orientated towards workstations. please recommend any that would be good for air flow cheers.

When I play games on my PC my CPU temperature reaches 95+ degree but stays at about 40-50 degree when I'm not gaming. I don't know why it's happening and I'm thinking to buy a new processor because I think G4560 is bad CPU for gaming. What else can cause this issue? Im playing crysis 1 on my laptop with full settings. My cpu temp goes from 48 to 58... I have ci3 4010u 4gb ram intel hd graphics 4400. I wanna ask that IS THIS TEMP normal. or should i quit it???

MSI Command Center says 46° and Core Temp says 61°C, which one should I believe lol?

Hi everyone so I recently built up my new pc and I have been having issues with CPU temps ive removed all the variables at this point I returned my CPU for a new one, I got Arctic silver 5 thermal paste, and used the corsair h60 and have upgraded to the corsair h105. My temps at idle in some programs show around 40 C and in the AMD Overdrive show 70C Thermal margin = 0C idle. under 100% load in prime 95 the programs show about 67C and AMD Overdrive shows 49C Thermal margin =21C full load My issue not only that my temps are inconsistent but that idle if it it around 40 is only 8C less then my stock cooler with stock thermal paste now that is still better but in very confused at this point I want it to be at 0C but that seems to cold but 40C seems to hot since AMD said it should be at only 38C idle with a stock cooler. Whats going on? I have an AMD A8 6600k black edition 3.9 GHZ. Here are pics of idle and load tests with all programs. Thanks for taking the time to help me out much appreciated.
