I can overclock and underclock but it seems to just not want to go over 3.6. ryzen master indicates that EDC limit is almost 100% could that be the issue?

So, I've bougth my ASUS TUF Gaming 505d around a year ago, and for past 3 month i am dealing with constant 0.39 cpu freqency problem. I have already tried a lot of bioses(new and old), new drivers and no drivers mode, changing power plan and power plan options, Armory crate, factory reset and multiple OS's, but it just doesnt work. I have changed my battery and ssd aslo, but i am still expiriencing low cpu speed and i am just tired of this. Just somebody with similar problem or at least some knowladge help me. Will be very thankfull

So I've had my pc for almost a year (to play mainly fortnite and other games) but in the last 6 months i have had a problem with my fps. From 144+ with ease to 120 FPS max. My main concern is my graphics card because one of my friends who kinda knows about pc wasnt sure about my GPU and asked me to tell him how will the card perform. I've tried anything to fix the issue but it nothing worked. Hello, I own a 2018 model Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 that I had been using for my gaming and workload purposes so far. I have ran into many issues with it in the past and managed to solve/mitigate them. I was content with my laptop and its performance was almost equal to what I expect from it. I even used third party softwares like ThrottleStop and Afterburner to improve its performance within safe margins. I only owned AAA racing titles like Forza Horizon 5 and I had a comfortable 50 FPS on average with medium-high 1080p graphics settings and when I monitored my hardware through Acer Nitrosense, I could see the GPU being used at 100% rate which is what it should be like during gaming/workload sessions and CPU staying below 90% usage. Though recently, I ran into an unique problem that suddenly appeared out of nowhere just before the new year. Now when I play the same game with same graphics settings, I can barely get to around 40 FPS featuring lots of stutters/fluctuations, sometimes dropping to even 30 FPS during the fluctuations. When I monitor my hardware with Acer Nitrosense, I was able to see an unusually high CPU usage that is almost always hitting 100% usage and GPU usage constantly fluctuating between 80% and 100%. This has never happened to my laptop before during my 3.5 years of daily usage. I suspected a crypto-mining malware running in the background and did full scans with Malwarebytes. I even did a memory dump to Intezer Analysis to see if there are any known malwares were running in the background but found nothing. I was also suspicious of my hardware running out of its lifespan due to the usage of ThrottleStop and Afterburner but I never touched the stock GPU voltages, had incremental overclocked core and memory values on the GPU(190+Mhz on core, 200+Mhz on memory) and had an undervolted CPU by -0.150 offset. My temperatures were also fine, 89C on CPU and 82C on GPU under heavy-load, had only 91C GPU hotspot according to HWinfo64. My storage health is fine according to CrystalDiskInfo, no bad sectors in either of my storages. My drivers are updated too. I couldn't find anything else. I cannot specify what is the matter with my laptop. I am also suspicious of performance loss in other games that I used to play like NFS Payback, since I could see the similar CPU-GPU usage patterns when playing it after the problem arose. Is there anything I can do to specify what is wrong with my CPU, or if there is anything wrong with it at all? I am really in need of advice here. I will submit a picture showing the usage and temperatures of both my CPU and GPU during my Forza Horizon 5 online gaming session so you can have an idea(CPU above, GPU below). The game I mentioned didn't receive any updates just before the problem appeared either. Here are my laptop specs: Intel i5 8th gen i5-8300H(Limited Turbo Boost to 3.0GHZ with ThrottleStop) NVIDIA GTX 1050TI 4GB GDDR5 2x8GB 2666Mhz DDR4 SK Hynix-Crucial RAM 128GB SK Hynix M.2 SSD 1TB 5400 RPM Toshiba HDD No idea about my motherboard, never checked. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit operation system

So I got quite a good one here that no one was able to solve yet. -Asus Tuf 3070 ti OC GPU -X570-A pro motherboard -Ryzen 7 3800x CPU -2x8gb 3200 Corsair vengeance RAM -700W 56A PSU Problem: When browsing, playing games I get a black screen and the sound gets stuck and plays on a loop for 2-3 seconds and then the PC restarts itself. Also the monitor doesn’t turn off, it just gets no signal. Solutions I got that doesn’t work: -overheating Since the CPU is a 105W, I got a tower cooler that could support up to 130W. My old GTX 1660 sometimes got up to 80-90C degrees, so I changed to an RTX 3070 ti. ; Now I can hardly get the CPU up to 70 degrees, and the GPU is around 60 degrees when playing games. With HWinfo monitoring noting is overheating at all. -Faulty PSU Some people thought that my PSU was faulty, so I bought a brand new one. Problem keeps happening. ------------------------------------------- Some things I noticed that could help to diagnose the problem: -When the PC starts to restart itself, the EZ Debug light lights up the CPU led. -The PC restarts randomly, even when just browsing the web. I was even able to run multiple benchmarks without it restarting. -The CPU could be the problem since the EZ Debug light lights up the CPU led, but I ran Cinebench where it preformed very good without overheating. (I ran single, multiple core tests, stability test too and it never restarted and the temps and scores were good.) -When the PC restarts, it doesn't lose power. So even when its restarting all the leds and rgbs stay on. (Coolers, GPU, tower cooler) Only the keyboard lights turn off (and on) and the monitor loses signal. -After it restarts I have to log in again and since it's a full restart I have to open the programs again. If there's any more question you want to ask, or any test you want me to run please please ask me. I'm happy if anyone tries to help, the PC service couldn't, so this is my last option.

cpu issue Ryzen 7 2700x bad performance
luckystorm29 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello guys. I recently build a new PC and I decided to include Ryzen 7 2700x,1660Super and 16 GB Ram in it. As it seems to me,the performance is pretty terrible for what I should be getting. I'm playing games like GTA 5,CSGO,Battlefield and Tarkov from time to time. All games on low,the fps is the same with my previous setup. Barely hitting 150 frames on CSGO,50 Frames on GTA and so on. At this point,I'm speechless,I've tried a lot methods, none of them seemed to work. Updating all kinds of drivers (Cpu,GPU,Motherboard) didn't seem to work. Switching power plans didn't work either. I've been seeing a lot of people with this same issues, and they still haven't fixed it. So,what can be done here?- 65 replies

Hello there, I have the new Asus gaming laptop (FX505DU) It has the following specs: - Ryzen 7 3750h - Single Channel 16Gb 2666Mhz Ram - GTX 1660ti - 512Gb SSD - 1080p 120hz panel I am having problems in all games where the CPU usage is just all over the place, it causes constant lag spikes as the games become unplayable, E.g. GTA V running at 15-20 FPS but going up to 60 fps sometimes and constant spikes and buildings disappearing sometimes as I turn the camera fast and look towards them I have tried a couple of things to fix this problem like reinstalling windows and updating the GPU drivers but I still have no luck... I have also tried: - Disabling anti virus - Stopping All programs I dont need open - Done the DDU process Here are some the FPS counts in the GTA V benchmark (I am using redux as well) at 720p very high settings Link: https://youtu.be/ktmTI96TJUI This whole entire benchmark the CPU was at 100% (Except in the loading sections) and the GPU was at around 30-50% Usage The V-sync is at half but I get the exact same framerates with it off I have seen a review on this laptop and they get way better and when I mean way better I mean waaaaaaay better framerates than me on this exact same laptop with the same specs and everything. Games that require little amounts of CPU run like a dream. Now CPU Temps... Thats all... Any suggestions on a fix?

Hello people, I have just built my first build with the specs shown below: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700 8 core/16 Threads RAM: 2x8 Corsair 2666MHz Ram Motherboard: Asrock X370 Pro4 GPU: Asus Astrix GTX 1050 Ti Power Suply: Thermaltake Smart RGB 600W OS: Windows 10 The PC is standing on a desk without any movement. Also Windows is set at Basic Performance mode. At first everything seemed to work fine until i noticed something while I was benchmarking my system using CINEBENCH. It showed I had 7 Cores and 14 Threads. Immediately, I checked task manager and under the Performance tab it said also that my CPU had only 7c/14t. As a matter of fact it showed only 14 diagrams under Performance/CPU tab. Finally I also checked AMD Ryzen Master in which I had never changed anything and while all the 7 first cores were working fine, the 8th was stuck at 600Mhz not moving at all. After some Internet research, I found some solution that didn't work for me. Internet Solution #1: Search "msconfig" -> Open "System Configuration" -> Choose "Boot" tab -> Choose "Advanced Options" -> Uncheck "Number of processors" In my case #1: The "Number of processors" box was already unchecked. Internet Solution #2: Check about Core-Parking Issue. In my case #2: None of my cores were shown core-parked. In fact the 8th was not shown at all in task manager. Only working temporary solution: Reboot. Oh yes! I noticed that when I boot my PC it sometimes has 7c/14t and sometimes it has the normal 8c/16t. So in summary: Sometimes when I boot my PC my core count is less that the normal (7c/14t) and it needs a reboot so that everything goes back to normal(8c/16t). WHY? Note that when I boot with the normal number of cores and threads every software is showing them perfectly.

Monster hunter world is running on my CPU instead of GPU according to my task manager. I'm not too sure if it was always like this or not, but the lag spikes are a recent "feature". I tried to restart my computer but the problem persisted. Is there a way to tell my machine to use GPU or is it just a problem that I cannot do anything about it? My specs also are included in the photos.

Hey everybody, so i have "recently" rebuild my system using the same CPU intel i-7 4930k as before, i used to have it overclocked to 4.6 GHz and had it running with that for almost a year with no problems, but now with basicly the same components if i go anywhere above 4.3 GHz i get a complete pc shutoff like the power just went out with no errors or bluescreens, this does not happen while running Prime95 but at some other points where it seems CPU and GPU is needed combined and not only the CPU (such as some games, and for some really odd reason sometimes watching twitch, but i notice twitch takes some usage on my GPU too). Temps never reach above 45c on either CPU or GPU. I'm also running into display driver stopped responding and recovered issues with some games (far cry 4, nosgoth and Divinity original sin is some examples) no idea if this can be related to any of this or simply just some driver issue's from other research into this problem i see alot of faulty psu answers, but since i tryet having the CPU and Motherboard on the other psu in the system with no change i'm not really sure this is the case, unless it could be duo to the GPU's still being connected to the same psu's (im almost certain that neither of the psu's alone can take the load of everything) My system contain of; Motherboard; Asus rampage IV black edition Cpu; Intel i-7 4930k Ram; G.Skill 32GB 2666 MHz Gpu's; 3 x Nvidia GTX 780 Monitor; Asus pb287q Psu; 1 x corsair RM1000 (running 1 GPU, Motherboard, CPU, 2 VP655 Pumps, 9 x alphenköhl wingboost 2 120mm fans, 3 x Xigmatek XAF-F1451 140mm fans) + 1 x Evga G2 850w (running 2 GPU's and some LED lighting) i have also tryet switching the Motherboard and CPU to run with 2 GPU's on the Evga G2 850w but same problem occurs. Previous system contained of; Motherboard; Asus x-79 deluxe Ram; Corsair 16gb 1600mhz Gpu's 2 x Nvidia GTX 780 Monitor; Asus pb287q Psu; Corsair RM1000

So I used SpeedFan 4.5 to check my computer stability and I don't quite know the numbers it appoints. The only thing that I am wondering is my CPU okay... What possibly could cause this? The stock fan is working, but I don't know how effective it is.

So awhile back i built a kaveri computer with the a10 7850k, and recently i decided to upgrade and get a discreet graphics card, and r9 270x. It worked for a couple days, then one day, the computer screen wouldnt even boot and my keyboard and mouse wouldnt light up to indicate it had power. The computer would work just fine if i unplugged my graphics card and removed it from the pci slot, but it doesnt work when i try to use it. I went to my friends house to test the graphics card and psu that i recently got, and they both worked just fine. So i suspected it to be a motherboard problem. I replaced the motherboard, and still the same problem. Now when i unplug the 270x and try to use integrated gfx, it doesnt work and the mouse and kb doesnt even light up either. When I switched back to my old motherboard, i couldnt even use the integrated graphics card. The mouse and keyboard didnt light up either, and I tried multiple times.
