Hey. So I purchased a brand new Kraken x53 for my new build. Upon putting everything together and starting it up for the first time, everything looked great at first. I was in the bios tweaking some things before actually booting to windows when i noticed my CPU was getting hot. At this point it was in the red. So i immediately turned off my pc and checked all the cooler wires and made sure everything was good, which it was and as far as i’m aware still is. On the motherboard, the pump is plugged into AIO_PUMP, fans are plugged into CPU_FAN, and the other one (blue plug) is plugged into a USB header. And i have switched the pump and fan plugs with each other and even tried the CPU_OPT header, and same results. Also tried switching USB headers, nothing. Fans are spinning, pump is lighting up just fine. Everything is plugged into their respective headers. I even took off the pump, and reseated it using new thermal paste, same result. CPU will reach 80c within 10 minutes of being into the BIOS, which seems to be accurate as the base of the hoses on the pump feel hot to the touch aswell as the back of the pump. I have read the manual from front to back and everything looks good. Cooler is front mounted with hoses at the bottom. I have googled and googled and nothing has worked. I don’t even feel the pump working (by using touch to feel for vibrations). I have tried everything. This is very disappointing, i was excited to get everything running and even excited to try this cooler out as it’s been recommended by many. But so far it’s caused me quite a bit of stress, and unfortunately has delayed my build which I have been working on getting parts for for months. I can’t explain the disappointment in starting my first build in almost 8 years only to be set back by something like this. I have pictures of everything from the plugs, pump lights, fans spinning, to the cpu temps. Even a video of the cpu temp ramping up. Do you guys have any recommendations on things to try? I would really not like to go through the customer service system before trying everything I can first. If it helps I have a Maximus XI Hero with a i9-9900k Pics: Dropbox Thanks

Hi, I'm having a what looks like common overheating issue. During boot up, there is an error of overheating at the post screen. I had to go into the bios and turn off cpu temperature monitor to ignore in order to boot to windows. when i downloaded 'open hardware monitor' to check on the temperature, it shows that my cpu core temperature #6 is having 90 degrees and above at constant value. I'm not sure how to explain the data but ill include a screenshot of it with my task manager. I've also applied new thermal paste. Both the 3 case fans and AIO radiator & fan are clean. I didn't overclock and have reset bios mostly to default. I'm wondering if anyone knows there is a way to fix this issue other than trying to reformat my pc. My setup is at 4 years of age. I'm using an i5-8600k processor. Motherboard Asus Z370 prime 16gb ram running at 2133mhz My Coolermaster lite 120 AOI fan is working, pump should also still be working as I heard some liquid sound during initial startup. GPU still a few months old, borrowed from a friend as I don't have one. Using Gigabyte RTX 3050 8gb. PSU 650W bronze (If i'm not mistaken)

Hi, I am new to forums and PC building. This is my first PC build and everything is successful i think, the fans light up and i have a display and able to get into BIOS. In there i notice my cpu skyrocketing to temp as high as 78 degrees before i panic and shut it off myself. I am using an Asus Z590-E motherboard along with a corsair h150i elite capellix AIO water cooler on a 11600k. The radiator is set up in optimum way on top with pump below it. On every boot it says CPU fan speed error and Flashes A9 code on motherboard (i think it means bios boot up), which causes my pump and radiator fans to blink red light altogether. I am using 1 commander core xt and one commander core (came with AIO) for 10 fans in my corsair 5000x PC case. At first i connected my AIO pump header to the AIO_header on motherboard but then changed it to CPU_fan header as per suggestions on reddit and other places. No change, temperature still rises up continuously and Fan speed error keeps showing before I press F1 to get into BIOS. *using stock thermal paste that came with the AIO* Does anyone have any suggestions on what should i do? Should i use new thermal paste? Also, i dont have isopropyl alc swabs on me rn, any other alternative method for cleaning cpu if its messed up when i take my AIO off?

Info: CPU : intel core i7-7700K Mobo: gigabyte z170 hd3p runningg the latest (to my knowledge) f22g bios to enable 7th gen compatibility. cpu cooler: cm masterliquid lite 240 (240mm aio, this might not be the exact name) psu: 600w cm rs-600-acab-m4 gpu: givabyte 1070 (2 fan no rgb version) The issue: My CPU cooler had a very annoying bubbling noise for over a year now, I try to fix it every month or two with little success. Today i decided to unplug all the cables and just shake and tilt my whole pc all over to move the air bubbles, that are making the noise, farther from the pump. After i did this i also decided to use a custom fan curve for the pump to get it to run slower, hoping that it would also maybe solve the issue. The UI of my bios shows 4 or so points which can be moved to set the fab curve as well as a set 5th which will always follow the highest temperature user-set point but with the performance set to 100% so as to avoid frying your hardware. Knowing of this safety feature i tried a 10% power limit for the pump and sys fans until 65, above which it would jump to 100%. After this i booted windows and did something else. When i came back after ~10 minutes my pc was very laggy so i tried launching hwmonitor to look at my temps but it never loaded and my pc shit down, no blue screens. After this i immediately rebooted and went in the bios to set it thr fan curve to normal. the first time i tried this the cpu was at 100°C the whole time and i didnt get to reset it before my pc shut down again. After this i waited a little then tried the same thing again. This time it worked and i successfully set all fans and the pump to 100% no matter the temp, then booted windows. In windows my cpu temp was reported at 100C with occasional dips to at minimuk 95 while my cpu throttled lower and lower and after a few minutes my pc shut down with a blue screen, the end of which didnt even show properly. After this i was quite puzzled, now knowing what to do i set a fan right next to my pc with both side panels removed and decided to wait for it to all cool down. After 10 minutes booted to the bios just to have the pump running at max speed and to look at the reported cpu temp in the meanwhile. to my surprise it started out at 50C, which is at least 15 degrees higher than my usual idle and it started climbing, in about 2 minutes it got to 100C while i was doing nothing in the bios. After that I decided to go and by thermal paste tomorrow and reapply my aio and started writing this post. PS: While HWmonitor did show 100C for a sensor called "system" one labelled "cpu" was around 25C, but further below when detailing my cpu temp per core it was showing temps all above 90 at idle. At this point i'm open to any suggestions and explanations. Did my custom fan curve fry my cpu? Could the sensor the be the onyl piece at fault? What solutions are there to this problem? Update: Little late but I went and bought some thermal paste and reinstalled the CPU cooler making sure it was getting proper contact, and now everything is in order again, sadly the pump is very loud once again however

Problem After my PC has been shutting down whilst gaming or on a idle load I started to monitor my CPU temperatures and they were getting pretty high. I then performed an idle and full load test, results are the files attacked with the _1. After the poor results I then swapped out my power supply for the 750w version of my current one and performed the same tests, these are labeled with the _2. I installed a new cooler yesterday as I thought my old cooler to be the problem but it doesn't look like its helped to the degree I thought it would. My system hasn't shut down for a few days now but there were no particular circumstances that I could think of to reproduce the issue. I don't remember encountering this issue before installing into my new case the Corsair 750D airflow. Parts: OS: Windows 10 professional PSU: RM Series™ RM1000 — 1000 Watt 80 PLUS® Gold Certified Fully Modular PSU CPU: i7 4970k Cooler: Corsair H115i (Using the pre-applied thermal paste)<- installed yesterday to try help with the overheating problem MB: Mod 1150 ASUS Z97 Maximus VII Hero ATX Motherboard(BIOS latest) RAM: Kingston Technology XMP Beast Series 32GB 2400MHz DDR3(running at 1300MHz) Boot Drive: Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB Any help would be much appreciated

Ive literally just put together my little brothers pc together and the CPU temps keep climbing. It starts off at 66c which is crazy high. I cant even run it in BIOS for more than 15 seconds or it hits 88c. The cpu cooler is a Corsair H110i GTX. Just tested it on another mobo and was running fine at 30c. Same case and everything. WTF IS HAPPENING. Ive even used Thermal Grizzly Condocutonaut as the TIM so transfer should be good?

Hi So i got a new Eluktronics mech-15 g2Rx, Its like 2 months old i have started playing games on this for month now and did a few stress tests on it. The temperature is a bit too much like 100 C at one point. So i Looked up and found out about intel Xtu which is a new thing for me .I undervolted it to -0.150 with no effect, got a new cooling pad which ALSO NOTHING. So i found out about Intel turbo boost (like i said i am new) and found out that i can reduce the turbo max power which i reduce from about 45 W to 20 W and so there was a temperature drop but wasnt constant. For example I played Planetside 2 ( a CPU intensive game) i saw a reduce in temperature to 74 for about 30 min the next day xtu resets and i change it again with no effect but i managed to make it go back to 77 C to 80 C with the decrease after a restart. Then i tried Witcher 3 which gave a 95 C when i reduce turbo max to 15 W while i was playing it went down to 77 C. That let me to believe that the turbo boost is better off turned off . Also its a 15 inch laptop and i found out that all the 15 inch laptops have same problem with Intel i7 9750H.And i have read cases where changing the thermal paste 3 times doesn't work until he was able to stop clock. I had a power limit throttling when ever i reduce power max which i feel i safe because it is sending more than 20 W but less than 30 W in most cases( default is 45 W). My specs CPU i7-9750H CPU@2.60 RAM 16 GB ram Storage ADATA sx8200pnp SSD 1TB GPU Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 with max-Q design With that i get a 140 to 50 fps in planetside 2 depending on the place of the fight (GPU for all 3 being less than 80 C) 150 to 100ish in war thunder 60 in witcher 3 may have dropped but i didn't notice any difference So i am willing to disable Intel turbo which may loose few fps but i don't think it will be so low that the gameplay will be effected. I saw a option to turn off turbo boost in XTU but found no video about it or all the videos i found were mostly older versions; So could anyone tell me if i can use disable Intel turbo boost in Intel XTU if yes do i need to also disable max and short boost. Thank you. P.S Also found that there is occasional increase in cpu usage to 10 or sometimes 20 % when idle and when it increases the temperature goes to 60 or if its 20% to 70 C and in idle the CPU speed is 3.41 or sometimes 3.90 GHz though base is 2.60Ghz only reduces to 0.90GHz if i put it in power saving

Hi, I have a desktop (ibuypower ) that i noticed the cpu temperatures running high. The temps are at 60 to 70 degrees Celsius when idle and then they jump to 100 as soon as I run any program that uses the cpu. There is an identical system and that has temps at around 30 C when idle. CPU : intel 9700k Mobo: Msi z390-A pro (MS-7B98) BIOS: vesion 1.10 date 08/22/2018 Ram: 16gb ddr4 Graphics: gtx 1070 Ti Cooler : AIO cooler from Ibuypower Storage: Samsung 860 evo + 1tb wd I have cleaned the PC as well as replaced the thermal compound but have not seen any change. Please help me figure out what is causing the high temp for the cpu

Hey, I recently bought an HP Omen 15 2018 model and it has been working amazingly, however the CPU has been getting very hot (up to around 80 Celsius) and i am looking for a good method to make it overheat less. My graphics card has been around 65 Celsius and i don't know if that matters or not because i'm fairly new into PC/laptop hardware. Also, I haven't overclocked it before and the game it overheats on is Destiny 2 and it is usually over extended play sessions (somewhere around 3 hours) and I run the game at about normal settings. Anything helps, Thanks!

I built a PC with an i7 7700K on an MSI Z270-A PRO Motherboard with a be quiet shadow rock 2. My problem is that the CPU temps are in the 85°C-95°C but the cooler itself is not that warm, not hotter than 30°C maybe. The cooler is mounted correctly. But I noticed that the MOSFET heatsinks are super hot. Is it possible that the termalsensors are picking up the temps of the MOSFET or is it the cooler that doesn't sit right on the CPU?

So my CPU now idles around 47-50c as far as I know. Afterburner is showing from 44-63 as of right now but when I was rendering a video file I believe it was around 75c. If I recall correctly this thing used to be 39c idle and 55-60c MAX on load. Notes to think about. I've never reseating the heatsink since 2011 when I built it. I have no tools to remove the heatsink. Do you guys simply think I need to replace the heatsink with another one? I was thinking about just reseating it, but like I said... I have no idea how to remove the heatsink without the little tools you get with the installation retail box. In this case I might upgrade to the Hyper 212 Evo and this way I'll have 2 fans instead of one. I don't WANT to do this but since I overclock to 4.3 right now... I feel 70+ Celcius is out of hand. Maybe it's not hitting the thermal limit but it's still way higher than it should be.

I just built a new computer a month ago and from the start I've had issues with the CPU overheating. The Spec- Motherboard-Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 CPU--i7-4790k Ram-G.Skill Ripjaws series X 12800 2x8 16gb ram GPU-Zotac GTX 970 AMP! Omega w/AMP! Extreme HSF PSU-Corsair HX750 partially Modular SSD-Kingston 300V 120GB HDD-1 Hitachi 1TB 1 WD 320 Case- Antec 1200 Monitor- Acer P215H 1080p I've Tried 4 different CPU coolers with avail right now I'm using a Zalman CNPS 5X Preforma and I have to run the CPU with the Turbo Boost disabled to stay around 75c on Load (AIDA64). I'm looking to buy a Corsair H100i maybe that will keep it cool. I would love to OC it cuz it hit 4.8 GHz NP but with a 1.52V to much I think. The Mobo has i7-4790k OC profiles for 4.6 and 4.8 GHz but when I use the 4.8 it hit 100c instantly with AIDA64. So maybe with a little voltage lowering I can still hit 4.8 without the crazy temps if I use the H100i hopefully the stock turbo enabled voltage is 1.28 without its like 1.14 V and stays cool np. Do you think the 1.28 Vcore voltage is what's up the Overheating or a bad thermal paste under the Heat spreader? Do you think the 1.55 Vcore Voltage is to high for the CPU when running the OC 4.8 GHz? I've talked to Intel and they say that a lot of mobo's have an issue with running the voltage to high and causing overheating. I could do a RMA on the CPU but it will be a month before I get it back and I cant do that its all I have. What do you guys think with the H100i keep it cool or is it a bad Heat Spreader and nothing will help? Also all the coolers I put on don't push a lot of heat even when its overheating and the only party that even gets warm is the heat pipes at the bottom of the cooler the top of the cooler stays cold. Don't put out a lot of heat at all and yes it is seated properly. PLEASE HELP!!
