This is going to be a lengthy post, so bear with me. On may 9th i ordered parts for a new computer, all the parts arrived May 12th. This means i am now outside the Amazon return window. The parts i ordered are a Ryzen 7950X3D, ASUS Tuf Gaming B650 Plus WiFi, Zotac Gaming RTX 3060ti OC, and G.Skill Flare X5 Series (AMD Expo) 32GB RAM. Here comes the part where I am absolutely stumped and i have no clue what to do. I recently have been getting random BSOD's on this system, i am running Windows 10, but stripped down using Atlas OS (I'm going to wipe and go back to normal windows), most of the time it's a NTFS.sys blue screen, other times it's been a different .sys but that at the time i didn't mark it down. Just today, the day smack after the return window closed, my system poofed. I was chilling watching YouTube with Fan Control testing fans in the background, the system poofed as in the screens went black, all RGB was gone, pressing the power button flashed RGB, even the RGB that lights up when the system has power (eg when psu on or system shut down) was off. I unplugged the PSU, waited, plugged it back in, system did not post but board stayed powered, error Lights on my Mobo showed a CPU problem. I unseated the CPU to check for damage, i found 2 bent Mobo CPU pins which i am 100% sure were not like that when i installed the CPU. On the bottom of the CPU there were darker patches but didn't look like it was burnt as per the recent or past 7950x3D problems. I did notice carbon scoring, or at last making on the contact pads in clusters in isolated areas, dunno if this is normal. I saw the bent pins and decided to stick the CPU back in, because why not, maybe it will work for some reason. and sure enough it booted to windows, but took a bit and kept throwing random error codes, went in a order similar to this: DRAM (normal post behavior to flash dram light)>CPU>VGA>CPU>VGA>BOOT. Note that after this happened all my bios settings reset. I'm not really sure what to do at this point because it is too late to return it all to Amazon, and it's really frustrating how unstable it is, espically how the main problems started the day after i can no longer return them. Thanks for the read, apologies this was a bit of a rant, any help would be appreciated. Things to note. My OS is on a 1tb SSD I have a Sabrent Rocket 2.0 M.2 drive mainly for games. 600watt PSU EDIT: i have 2 PSU's one is an EVGA 600 B, the one currently in my system is a Rosewill HIVE 750S Bios: TUF GAMING B650-PLUS BIOS 1601 (not stock) ---newer more stable version available, i will flash it tomorrow when i get a chance. Using AMD Expo 1 to get full speed out of my ram (system by default had the ram at 4200mhz instead of the supported 6000mhz), other options for AMD Expo are available in bios

Hello, I have a weird problem with my PC. I can only make the PC start if I reseat the CPU. This is a recent problem. Steps: -I reseated the CPU and the PC was working perfectly fine -I did some work on it (not gaming, not using it to full specs either), just moving files here and there and opening some programs -I did a few restarts on it and a few shut downs, everything worked fine -Went outside for 10 minutes, PC turned off, plugged into the power socket with the switch off (basically no power), came back, switched the power on, started PC, CPU error Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 GPU: Gtx 1660ti OC 6GB from Gigabyte Motherboard: MSI B350M PRO VD PLUS Case: Polar Light v2 RAM: 64gb G-Skill Ripjaws 3200 dual channel PSU: Segotep SG-D600SCR, 600W SSD: Adata SU800 I tried most things on the tryout before posting here forum. Since COVID is a thing, I cannot test the parts in another PC, so I can t try that out! Some more extreme stuff I tried: -Changing GPU (though it is meaningless, since my motherboard has ez Debug LEDs pointing there is something wrong with the CPU) -Trying to turn on the PC without the CPU power connector in, thinking there must be something power related to the CPU, since reseating it makes the PC boot no problem -1 full day (24h) of rest without power plugged in and without CMOS battery. Did not work! Other data: -I use the pc for rendering, but not daily(two-four days/month for around 3-4 hours with breaks) -I did overclock the CPU from 3.2 Ghz to around 3.7 when rendering (MAX 89 degrees C on stock cooler), did not have any issues whatsoever (besides crashing first time I tried 3.8 Ghz)

Hey guys. Yesterday I cleaed my PC and reapplied some thermal paste and took out my i7 8700k. After puttig everything back tgr it showed me on the "Ez debugging LEDs" DRAM and CPU. Then I replugged the RAM and the cpu. After that only the CPU LED is showing an error. Checked the cables and repluggend and controlled the pc in general.Therwe is a bit left of some thermal paste at the bottom left, maybe theres something bent. Or is it the paste? It only boots without any display output or indication of functioning except for the fans and RGB. Everything was working before and I didnt replug anything. Its probably a bent cpu pin rather than a dead CPU but I cant see any bent Pins. I tried my best to take some pictures I attaxched here. Would be really happy to still use this still pretty capable machine. Cant even get a z370 atm. Thank ou already! My PC suddenly stops giving power and signal to my peripherals but the fans are still spinning, with the EZ Debug LED showing a solid red light on CPU. This happened on two occasions so far. Once while playing VALORANT while being on for 2 hours. The other was when I was on Netflix on Chrome after playing VALORANT for 4-5 hours. The temperatures are fine, with CPU reaching 80-85C and GPU at 80C under load. I'm hoping to check to see if the CPU is the faulty part as I don't have another CPU I can borrow to troubleshoot it myself. My hunch is that it could be a PSU or a motherboard problem but it's strange how this problem only happened now. With the pandemic and all, my budget is extremely slim so I would ideally want to spend on the part that is defective than to buy multiple parts to troubleshoot. Any help is appreciated! My old MSI B450 motherboard crashed a few times while streaming and I noted the CPU debug led would light up. The old mobo does not work now, the pc shutsdown within seconds of booting. Now on the Tomahawk max, while playing LFD2, with AMD RYZEN balanced power plan ( I actively keep switching between them as per usage), the whole system crashed again. The audio would freeze or go out of sync and then the pc would crash and eventually reboot like normal. I could not notice quickly, but Im sure it was the CPU led which lit up again. (I sit to the right of my cabinet). Is the CPU potentially killing motherboards or what?

A few weeks ago I build my first gaming PC. It has been working fine for 9 days now. It is in a NZXT H510 Flow and the drive activity LED was really bugging me so I tried to use the included adapter for the individual front panel connectors so I could disconnect the activity LED. I turned the PSU off, unplugged it, and drained all the power out of the system by holding down the power button before I messed with the front panel connector. But when I connected the adapter the CPU light went on on the motherboard and the computer would no longer post. I then tried using the normal front panel connector just like it was before but there was no change. The Front panel connector does not have any bent pins and is seated properly. I have tried clearing the CMOS and replacing the CMOS battery with no change. The computer will turn on (fans and RGB) but the CPU error LED on the motherboard will turn on. I have left it for a few minutes to see if it is just booting slowly, but nothing changes. I am using the most recent BIOS and have been running it without issue for 7 days now(I have restarted multiple times since then). I have tried using 1 stick of Ram(farthest away from CPU) I have tried leaving the CMOS battery out for ~30 minutes I have tried Replacing the CMOS battery I have tried turning it on by jumping the pins Build: Intel 12400F Gigabyte B660 Gaming X AX Gigabyte 3060 Eagle 12gb 16GB - Corsair Vengeance DDR4 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus EVGA Supernova 850 Ga NZXT H510 Flow Any help would be appreciated!

I just finished putting together my first ever custom loop and now I’m getting a cpu error light on my motherboard, the Asrock x670e steel legend. I verified everything worked before building my loop and putting everything in my case. I triple checked that my cpu power connectors are fully plugged in. I have a fan plugged into the cpu fan 1 header, all my fans are spinning and my pump is pushing fluid. I tried a clear cmos but I can’t tell if it’s doing anything, it’s not a button but a pair of pins that need to be shorted. I’m running out of ideas and getting worried I’m gonna be up shit creek without a paddle. I broke of one of the mounting screws on the cpu block and am not certain I can get it off if I need to. Please send help, or a lot of booze

My specs: GPU: RTX 3060 Ti CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x3d (New) CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x (Old) Motherboard: B450-A Pro Max RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB 2x PSU: Corsair TX850M Issue: My PC perfectly works fine with my old CPU installed, once I install the new CPU on the other hand my PC boots up but i do not get a display or any reaction from my Monitors and the VGA light is glowing on the Motherboard. Once I put my GPU in another PCIE Slot it boots up with display. Troubleshooting I did: Updating the BIOS, Removing the CMOS and putting it back in, Installing older BIOS version which support the new CPU. Questions: How do I fix it? Is it a bad idea to leave my GPU in the second slot and leave it as it is? Thanks for in advance.

Hi everyone, so some days ago i wanted to upgrade the RAM in my system and ordered some new sticks. After trying to put the new RAM into my tower, I seem to have broken my PC (it does not even boot anymore) and I'm not sure what to do now. So this is the version of my PC that was running ultra stable for nearly 3 years: Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B150-HD3P (default BIOS version) CPU: Intel i5 6500 RAM: 2 x 4GB: HyperX FURY HX421C14FBK2/8 8GB (2133MHz) Graphics: AMD R9 380 (Asus strix) Case: Fractal R5 PSU: EVGA 80+ Bronze 500B OS: Windows 10 & Ubuntu 18.04 dual boot As I saw a good offer for G.Skill Value DDR4-24666, I bought 4 x 8GB sticks. So here is what happened next: Turned off PC. Turned off PSU. Unplugged PSU. Removed old RAM. Plugged in new RAM. Turned everything on in reverse order. Nothing happened. Turned everything off again. Realized i somehow partly unplugged the 24pin power connector. Put it back in. Turn everything on in reverse order. Fans start spinning. No display output. PC shuts down. Fans start spinning. PC shutsdown and so on so forth. Thought the BIOS might be confused because of new RAM. Resetted BIOS by removing battery for some minutes (cheap board had no jumper on it to reset). Removed graphics card to remove possible noise. Same problem with the new RAM. Okay, i sticked the old RAM in again after removing CMOS Battery again for some minutes. Still no luck. In the end i tried every of the two old RAM sticks solo in all 4 slots and the PC does not boot. I finally found one of my Arduino buzzer and pluuged it into my board. Error sound is 5 beeps. According to Gigabyte[1] this means "CPU error", which - at least for me - is not that helpful. I don't have spare Hardware to test any part on its own. I recently changed from intel to AMD, and got myself a new MOBO, and CPU. I've been using it for about a month and a half now, and it's been pretty good. I was recently playing a game, and I left it running for a while. When I got back to it, everything was completely unresponsive, so I turned my PC off by the power button, and started it up, expecting it to be some random freeze. When I turned it on, all the fans were running but there was no output. I then realised that the CPU error light on my motherboard was lit. I therefore, took the side panel off, and tried a few things; turning off and on the PSU switch; taking out and back in the PSU cable; taking out and back in the CPU power connector; resetting the CMOS battery; flashing BIOS with new BIOS update using flash BIOS button on MOBO; trying each RAM stick individually. All these failed. I really don't want to take the fan off/have to claim warranty as I'm at uni atm and all the boxes for the parts are back at home.For info, here's the PC specs; AMD Ryzen 3600 MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX Corsair Vengeance DDR4 (2 * 4GB 2666MHz + 2 * 4GB 3000MHz) Corsair CX750M 750W PSU Crucial MX300 750GB SSD + WD 2TB SSHD + [not in use](Sabrent M.2 256GB SSD) MSI GTX1060 6GB I thought the problem might be with the RAM, cos I've heard Ryzen CPUs can be weird with RAM speeds, but I don't know why it didn't break when I first started using it.Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi guys, im new to the forum but i need help. Im going to explain my situation: Today i got a ram upgrade for my rig, i allredy had 16gb of trident z 3000 ram and got another kit of 16 with the same specs. The rig went fine for the last couple of months but after poping the ram into the system, it wont boot. The motherboard says cpu error even though i havent done anything. Im going to list my specs and tell you what i allredy tried. Mobo: b450 tomahawk Cpu: Ryzen 3600 Gpu: Rtx 2060S Ram: 32Gb trident z 300 Psu: TX750M What i tried: -reseating the cpu (tried it twice) -puting in individual ram sticks (all, only 1, putting it back how it was initially) -unplugged every fan in case anything was shorting I noticed something oily on the motherboard under the vrms/condensator but it doesnt look like a leak as it doesnt look dry. I find it weird that it all started after the upgrade. The only thing i can think of is trying to update the bios or unplug everything out of the case and try to run it. Ok so i put together a computer (diagrams below ) and once i was done the computer flashes a cpu led at me and wont post... i unmounted checked and remounted the cpu and it still gives same error i do not know why im getting a c pu fail post led. the cpu should be compatible with the x99-E atx board im using. below i have placed a layout of my connectors in the pictures below. hx850 i psu h60 water cooler i7-5820k lga2011v3 samsung 850 evo x99E motehrboard corsair vengance 16gb ddr4 2400 gtx 1060 6gb

I have been having a CPU Fan error message when i boot and not all the times it just seems to happen whenever its cold and i don't mean like its freezing i mean like within 55 - 63 degrees ferinheight. this has only ever happened on cold days and i check if CPU fan is starting up like normal already and its spins like normal and all connectors are fine and secure too. any ideas on what might cause this? PC Specs are: Motherboard = Asus Z87 Pro, CPU = Intel i7 4770k, RAM = Corsair Vengeance Pro 16gb 1866, GPU = EVGA GTX 750 ti FTW, PSU = Corsair RM 750, Case = Fractal Define r4 Windowless, CPU Heatsink = Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, Hard Drive = Some Old Hitachi 500gb, OS = Windows 7 64bit Also the CPU isnt overclocked and all drivers are up to date even the bios is up to date Also my PC is perfectly cable managed and very clean

So i just received all the parts for my first ever build, and i am running into trouble on the first boot. On the first black screen after booting, it registers everything, but i am met with a CPU error. When i look at the temps of my CPU in my BIOS, they are crazy high. They start skyrocketing to 80 degrees celsius right off the bat. Do you know what might cause this? Did i not plug my H100i in correctly, or could it be something about the thermal paste? Hi everybody!!! I Really need your Help because my New Gaming Pc won't post after all. PC Stats: CPU: AMD FX-8350 CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 3 Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z GPU: Asus R9 280X Direct CU II Case: NZXT H440 SSD: 2x Corsair GeForce 128GB And some be quiet Fans What Happened: We finished the Build of my PC and after that we installed Win8.1 and everything worked well, until we installed the motherboard drivers. The Pc rebooted a few times then a message popped up witch said: Do a final reboot to activate the motherboard drivers. So we did this and the PC did never post again. The Motherboard just says "FF" which means that the motherboard don't knows exactly what the failure really is, and the CPU light stays on. All Fans are working. What I tried to fix the problem: - reattach all the Cables - reinstall the CPU - clear the CMOS - boot it just with a single Ram Stick, CPU and GPU - check the Monitor - check the GPU - check the PSU - check if BIOS is compatible - check that RAM is compatible If you could help me get my Computer running again i would be very happy I'm sorry if i did some grammatical mistakes i'm not a native speaker
