From the album: The most Expensive CS GO skins
The value of skins is as subtle as the skins themselves. You can’t touch them to feel their quality. You can’t get any advantages from them in your game – there are no such plusses, only visual effects. Still, skins cost real money. Some of them can be sold for thousands of dollars; others have prices of just a few cents. How to understand such weird pricing? The infographic was taken here: https://skins.cash/blog/expensive-csgo-skins/-

Good day people of steam Problems. I used to get around 300 fps on CSGO. But since about a week ago (27 March 2020) I've been getting crazy FPS drops. Here you can find a vid of the drops --> --> What you should know. All my temps are below 60°C. New windows so its up to date. (↓↓) New CSGO so no config. (Installed new windows thinking something was wrong with my OS) Vega 64 drivers are up to date. I use a 144Hz monitor. ( Samsung CFG70) I play on 1080p Game DVR is off. I've unparked CPU cores. I've run it in compatibility mode PC Specs. Z270F CPU: i7-7700K Mobo: Asus ROG Strix RAM: Corsair Vengeance White Led 8GB x 2 GPU: Radeon RX Vega 64 Cooler: Coolermaster Masterliquid ML240R SSD 2: 850 PRO 2.5" PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 Also, it drops in random spots. Sometimes I'll get 200+fps on B and sometimes I'll get 16fps "60fps is fine. Stop complaining" - If you haven't had 144hz before, you don't have anything to compare to. I'm looking for genuine help here not criticism. "100fps is normal for your setup" - Nope, as I said before, I've gotten over 300fps before. If you need any info feel free to let me know. Thanks

Only when playing CSGO on faceit servers does my game crash on most of the time requires a reboot... It seems to be an ongoing problem and was wondering if anyone else has this problem and what fixes are there?

Hey all, In South Australia, students are required to conduct a "Research Project" where we conduct research on a topic of our choosing and form evaluations and what not (TLDR, its a massive assignment on a topic of our own choosing) My topic is on the effects of Gambling in online video games, such as Counter Strike and DOTA 2, with real currency and how it effects people. I have prepared a survey to gather my own statistics as a primary information source. If people could take 5 minutes of their time to complete it, that would be greatly appreciated. Answers are anonymous and its mostly multiple choice and some sentence answers. Thanks in Advance! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M29VN9P ----- thats the survey

I have recently built a new gig for gaming (CS:GO) and I seem to have stumbled upon this big issue where I face an huge FPS drop - ingame. It is frustrating!! While in game, I face this issue where the fluctuation is from 299 - 100 FPS and I have no clue on what is causing it. I have done the basic check, i.e., no dust on fans, proper installation of the game, latest drivers installed, etc. and it is of now use - the issue is still present. Specs: 1. CPU - AMD FX8350, 4.0 GHz, 16.0 MB 2. MOBO - MSI 970 Gaming 3. RAM - 8 GB(4+4) Corsair DDR3, 1600 MHz 4. GPU - Zotac GTX960 4GB DDR5 5. SMPS - VP 550 I am looking for an CONSTANT FPS of about 200-250 which would help me play better in the game. Can you help me tackle this issue of FPS Drop?

Heya, I have a i7-8700k @4.4ghz and a GTX 1070 FTW. I seem to be having a problem with cs:go, where I'm only using around 30% of both cpu and gpu and I end up getting <100fps. I do have multicore rendering enabled and I went through a thread from last year here where OP said the problem was "the bios". Not entirely sure how to fix my problem, I play on 4:3 1024x768 on low settings apart from shadows. Any help appreciated

What's the point of using a game where fast motion isn't that commonplace to test whether or not 240fps makes a noticeable difference or not? If Linus wanted to really determine whether or not it does he should have used a much faster game with a lot more constant motion such as Quake. Get a hold of Rapha, Paradoks, Cooller, Garpy, K1llsen, and have them put the setups through the paces. Higher FPS is really only more noticeable and more advantageous in faster paced twich shooters like Quake and if you want an easier game UT. Not grandma camp with hitscan weapons noobfests like CS.

I have a problem where when CSGO is in fullscreen mode, and I click on another application on my second monitor, CSGO minimizes. I tried to put the recommended, SDL_VIDEO_MINIMIZE_ON_FOCUS_LOSS=0 %command%, into my launch options but CSGO won't run with the command in. I get a error that says it can't find, SDL_VIDEO_MINIMIZE_ON_FOCUS_LOSS=0 %command%. Do you guys have any idea what' happening here??? Thanks for the help.

Howdy! I'm a staff member for the gaming club at my college and I'm trying to make a free-for-all server for our CS:GO team and others to use for warming up. I've found basic tutorials for building CS:GO servers, but I can't seem to find any documentation for FFA servers or any special setup or plugins they need. Does anyone have any experience working with something like this or know good resources for a starting point for creating a dedicated server like this? My goal is to set it up on small machine to have running 24/7 rather than have an external company host the server because then the machine could stay running with the club when I graduate. I would appreciate any advice, thanks!

Hi, Just started having this problem this morning (I played last night with no issues).Opened CSGO this morning and saw that my video settings/resolution had been reverted to normal (all set to high [usually low], 16:9 and native res [i usually play 4:3 and different res]). I was able to change my settings back to usual, but after this, the game crashed. Now the game crashes immediately after launching.Last night i updated my windows (cumulative update) and nvidia drivers. *No error messages / 'csgo has stopped working' windows have been appearing... the game just starts to launch and dies...*I would appreciate some assistance in this matterTHINGS I'VE TRIED WITH NO RESULTS:I reinstalled my nvidia drivers just now to no avail Cleared my launch optionsVerified the integrity of games filesDeleted csgo.exe and reinstalled by Verifying the integrity of games filesShutdown/restartchanged resolution back to 1440p (native) using " -w 2560 -h 1440" in launch options

I want to build a new rig that offers the best responsetime and lowest input/output latency. Im really into csgo competitive on 1080p/144hz in high settings. Other more demanding games could/should be set on medium settings. On LTT : YT they mentioned gtx950 offers a more fast response time for moba games. How does this effect on csgo (fps). And is this function available on other cards? In this build i would love to achieve the fastest response time possible. Includes mouse, monitor144hz, keyboard, entire pc,( internetconnection?.) If anyone has some decent knowledge to help me out here i would really appreciate it. Im wondering with this idea for too long. The build shouldnt cost tooooo much too.

I have decided that I want to invest into a 144 hz monitor for counterstrike. But am torn between these two monitors. I have a 390 nitro and that is why im considering the AOC monitor so I could use freesync in other games. But I fear the quality of the monitor would not be worth it. I know for a fact that benQ is a trusted brand. Which monitor should I go with? Thanks for the help!

Hi, I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone has a solution to this problem I'm having with CS. I'm running a 6700k and a GTX 970 with 32GB of DDR4. Theoretically I should be destroying CS. I get 300fps constant and whenever I get in a firefight the game lags and my aim goes to shit because of this. It doesn't feel like it's FPS or rubber-banding because of a bad internet connection but something else. Could this be caused by any of the video settings in CS or drivers etc.? Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks. In-Game Video Settings: WideScreen 16:9 1920x1080 Fullscreen Gobal Shadow Quality: High Model /Texture Quality: High Effect Detail: High Shader Deatil: Very High Multicore Rendering: Enabled MSAA: 8x Texture Filtering Mode: Anisotropic 4x FXAA: Enabled Wait for Vsync: Disabled Motion Blur: Disabled Launch Settings: -console -novid -threads 4 -high (Not sure about the last one 'threads 4 - high' it helped with fps when I was playing on a mac :l )

I have been playing counter strike GO for about 2 years on an average 24 inch 60hz asus monitor that has done the job up until now. Now I am looking to upgrading to a 144 hz monitor. I have almost no experience with buying monitors or what to look for. I have a nitro 390 gpu. So what would you reccomend for a 144hz 1080p monitor (I can live without freesync but it would be nice to have). I have a budget of around 250$ to 350$. Also I would not want to get anything much larger than 24 inches because I have my monitor really close when I play. Thanks for the help!

So I know this is strangely specific for a general troubleshooting form but when I asked /r/GlobeOffensive I didn't get any response so I figured I'd see if you guys can help me. symptoms: Micro freezing and stutters when some new sounds play such as "bomb has been planted". After the sound plays once and causes a freeze it doesn't normally cause another for quite some time but other sounds might do the same thing such as the 'Dink' headshot sound. The game will pause visually and audibly for a moment before jumping ahead and while playing the sound when it unfreezes. I've noticed it becoming more and more noticeable lately with the freeze time becoming longer and the frequency becoming shorter. specs: I'm running off a laptop lenovo Z580 it has 8 gig's of ram, a i5-3210M and uses integrated graphics 4000. I know this isn't the best but with all the settings at low and a few other system tweaks I've gotten around 60 fps... unless there is a smoke up. The last part i need for my build should be here soon so I can play on a better machine finally ! things I've tried: * turning force preload to 1 * updating drivers * verifying game *defragging steam folder * r_dynamic 0 * turning down audio quality in sound properties *playing with a different headset No luck it still keeps happening Thanks for any help.
