I have received a keyboard ( cougar puri ) which has a weird issue of the entire bottom row and the number row not working. The shift key also has an issue; if i tap it, randomly multiple shortcuts pop up. I tried finding a broken trace in the pcb but the shift key shortcut is causing issues. Can anyone help me out with this problem? Thanks

Hello everyone! So I recently switched my cpu cooling method over to liquid cooling for my 8700k. I have a asus rog strix z370 egaming mobo. The pump has two wires one 3 pin connector and the other is a 4 pin which I assume is the rgb lighting for the pump.. now I have an AIO pump 4 pin on my mobo but no corresponding female plug from the pump. The 3 pin from the pump fits on the 4 pin connector leaving 1 pin exposed...on start up the pump fan runs...which means it's cooling...and the rgb lights are working and pump and radiator fans are synced ..but I get a cpu fan error on start up that requires me to enter bios..wondering if anyone has some helpful info. Thanks!

I'm planning my first build, and I'm budgeting about $2k(in USD for those of you outside the US). Im wanting it to be a black and red color scheme. Im not too big on the whole RGB or tempered glass thing. Nothing against them, they just don't get very high on my want list. I'm wanting to use the Alphacool Eisbaer 360 (3x120 aio), so 360 rad support is one of the BIG checks on my list. I'm also looking for outstanding airflow, a side panel window, ATX motherboard support, and atleast 2 2.5" and 2 3.5" hard drive bays. I've looked at the Corsair 750D Airflow Edition and the Cougar Panzer Max, though I'm open to the opinions of others. If anyone has any recommendations, I'd be more then happy to look into them.
-
I'm considering the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe (the tempered glass version), and I know it can support either a 200mm fan, or 2x120mm/140mm fans on the front intake. (you can do 3x120mm if you remove the optical drive bays, but being as I may use those at some point in the future, and it seems like all I would be doing is choking the third fan, Im not really considering that option.) Im looking for a general consensus as to which set up you would go with and why. This is actually my first build, and I want to make sure there is alot of airflow going threw this badboy.

So, after 9 months of frequent use, my Cooler Master Devastator II mouse has crapped out on me, as the scroll wheel is starting to fail. Tried cleaning the wheel, and it didn't fix the problem. So, I'm now looking for a new, better, more durable/reliable mouse to replace it before the wheel becomes unusable. However, I am having trouble choosing a mouse from a list of four: Steelseries Rival 100 Corsair Sabre Cougar Revenger Razer DeathAdder Chroma The Rival is $30. The other three are $50. Now, I am leaning towards the Rival due to its cheaper price tag, and the fact that it received the HardwareCanucks Dam Good Value award. Although...all of these mice have gotten good reviews across the board, so idk. Is there anything about any of the $50 mice that you guys would say is worth an extra $20 over the Rival 100? Also, if you guys have any suggestions outside of these mice, let me know. My price range is $30-$50. I don't want to spend any more than $50 on a mouse, but I also don't want to go too cheap and get another mouse with a one-year lifespan. Also, I would really like my next mouse to have RGB or at least blue lights so that it can match the blue backlights on my Devastator II keyboard.

I know that the case in question supports a variety of rads as listed here but alas, I don't know how thick I can go before hitting the motherboard or whether or not I could build a custom loop in this with 1 top and 1 front mounted 280 rad in pull config and use a 5.25 bay res/pump combo. I know that I would have to remove the 5.25 bay for 360 rads but I also don't know if it supports dual 360 rads comfortably without having to do weird stuff with fittings or mod the case.

Hello. I am wondering which is the better case. I really like the look of both and everything with them and that is why I have to ask you guys. The build I will be putting in the case is: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/F4TVzM I know the Panzer can only have a 160mm cpu cooler but I have read if I put the fan lower on the heatsink it will fit. You can recommend other cases but I don't want to spend more than these cases individual costs. Thank you in advance for your help deciding my case.

So I'm trying to build the quietest yet cool as possible rig, I'm putting in a noctua d-15 ontop of an 8700K, I have been looking at cases with the largest fans posible and have came down to a few options, the cheesy yet very decent spec'd (and cheep) Cougar Challenger. It has 200mm fans and i'd be installing few extra noctua fans (1 200 top, 1 140 side). So it would be half 4-pin half 3-pin. The other two options are the Rosewill thor V2, and the CoolerMaster HAF 932 which run HUGE 230mm fans- BUT all are stock 3-pin fans and I cant even figure out what type of bearings they are. I'm building on a ASUS board, and plan on using Fan xpert, and I'm trying to decide what the best route would be. I figure theoretically it'd be get the HAF, and the strip out all the stock fans and replace them with better ones but thats a LOT of money on case assembly when my build is already close to 2K. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all.. This is my very first SFF build. Still alot of rooms to improve, but so far I'm quite pleased and enjoy the building process. I just finished this afternoon. Before this build I used Phanteks Evolv ITX as my platform. Only for 1.5 years my interest to a real small form factor become stronger and stronger until I cant resist it. Finally I dare myself to build one. The initial idea was to have a tiny form factor system but running as beefiest components (CPU cooler and GPU) as it allows and it has to be air cooled. I'm a kind of average budget person, so I cannot afford the NCASE M1 as it's so expensive to finally reach my hand ($190 base price and mark it up to $314 to arrived in front of my door), and I'm not into the purchasing system it runs. So I ended up with the "Poor man's M1" version, the Cougar QBX. Basically I just migrated some of my previous PC components inside the Evolv ITX to the QBX, and will upgrading the GPU later on, wait for what AMD will offer with their NAVI. And this is the part list: CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K, 5 GHz, delidded with LM CPU cooler: Noctua NH-C14S Motherboard: MSI Z370i Gaming Pro Carbon AC RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 Gb, 2666 MHz GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 6 Gb FTW2 DT PSU: Corsair SF600 Platinum Case cooling: 1x Noctua NF-R8 80mm fan front intake, 1x Cougar stock 92mm fan rear exhaust, 2x Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 fans top exhaust. I did an extensive research before I decided to execute my trigger for this kind of build. After I decided to use the Cougar QBX, from there I start to try to find any informations as many as possible from its specs, what's the biggest components it can take based on its official specs, until to finally I found the untold specs that this case hides inside itself, and then I saw a wider choices of components to keep me consistent with my initial idea. I was about to upgrade my GPU also along the building proccess, but life is quite rough lately, so I need to save some cash for it and the GPU upgrade is in hold for it, but I don't mind as there will be AMD to show up some new line-ups soon enough, so I stay calm and patience.. For the PSU, I was thinking about it for a month to find which SFX PSUs are available in my country. Initial plan was Enermax Revolution SFX or Seasonic Focus Gold SGX, but both models are out of stock, even Silverstone SX-G also. The SFX PSU which available in where I live is the Corsair SF, so I get this little big boy instead even the price is over my target, but I think I cant go wrong with this unit. The CPU cooler??? Cougar stated that QBX maximum height of CPU cooler it can accomodate is only 105mm, but after extensive research it can take 145mm CPU cooler with side plate/bracket uninstalled. The trade off is I lose 2x any 2.5" storage drives mounts and 1x 3.5" HDD mounts, and 1x 120mm side fan mount. I take the trades to put NH-C14S to cool my 5GHz 8700K inside a tiny case, also since I don't need many storage drives so I can live with it. TL:DR, here some of the pics when I built it, it's not the pretiest build, but like I said, there are still alot of rooms to improve, and also I'm sorry for the poor quality pics. I installed the SF600 with this orientation to allow me to install 2x 120mm NF-F12 fans just to exhaust heat as fast as possible when it needed. I set the NF-F12 at constant 1000-1500 RPM up until 80C, and higher RPM for over 80C. the front top exhaust NF-F12 is to pull out the PSU heat without leaving heat is being trapped at the gap between PSU bracket and the top/roof of the case, while the rear top exhaust NF-F12 is to pull out the CPU heat. About the motherboard.. Initially I plan to upgrade to Asrock Phantom Gaming Z390 ITX/ac also to future proofing, but found that there is someone have problem with the NH-C14S on old motherboard inside QBX, and it makes the guy cut the heatsink to fit in there. Then it made me wonder if each motherboard has their own certain exact spot or let say coordinate of the CPU socket relative to the motherboard area and dimension. I was quite sure it has and it will affect to the NH-C14S compatibility. I was discouraged by some opinions that saying I will be unlikely to be able to fit the NH-C14S without involving some mods. But challenge accepted, and I see a quite big risk ahead but I decide to gamble myself for it, I took the risk and move on.. I checked the Asrock vs my preowned MSI board. Crop their pics at same orientation and size, I found that Asrock CPU socket is located slightly to upper right direction, while MSI has it tend to be located the opposite direction, lower to the left. From here I cancle my decision to get Asrock and stay with my current motherboard instead. Aaaaand this is when the NH-C14S heatsink is succesfully installed on the system.. No mod/s required. Look how close my risk by gambling on it.. Just tiny touch perfect fit! This is the spot where a real conflict happens.. No big deal rubber vs metal. Only the outer fin which get bent by the power cable, no worries.. a milimeter gap on the rear sector vs 25mm thick rear exhaust fan with the NF-A14 Chromax installed..! (I have it already from the previous build) I was about to use NF-A15 instead because it's aestethically better than NF-A14, but the mounting clips are not compatible, tried to use the NH-D15 fan clips also not compatible, so NF-A14 is OK then, it's the same fan after all, only different style. and with the side panel on.. Just to test the side fit. It actually touches the side panel but only a light touch on the fan rubber pads, it doesnt even push the panel, so I still can slide the panel on and off quite easy.. No gap between the side panel and the case body by the fan vs side panel touch.. I'm safe.. It's a nice relieve.. I was planing to install the NF-A14 under the heatsink so I can install the side bracket on to be no compromise on the QBX features but the 24 pin ATX power cable doesn't allow me to do that, so here we are now.. Touch the limit not so perfect fit! I will upload the full build when the time is right.. I'm still planing to change the sleeved cables with the custom ones and upgrading the GPU.. Any inputs and rating, comments and opinions, or any constructive ideas are greatly welcome, I highly appreciate it.. Thanks for your time and attention.. Regards..

Hey there everyone. I wasn't thinking of asking this question, but I'm getting nowhere in my choosing so I decided to ask out for your opinion. I was thinking of getting a new keyboard recently as I am REALLY fed up with my crappy A4TECH BLOODY nonsense whatever it is. I was thinking of buying something good and responsive. I almost write on my PC and game too. Note that whenever I play a game, it is Rainbow 6 Siege. I was think of buying a 'Cougar Puri'. But the problem is, if I wanna get that I need to buy the RGB Edition now. But I really hate RGB. Plus I did my own bit of research and found that in the RGB Edition it doesn't have CherryMX keys rather than it has Cougars own Mecha keys. So my first question will be, which one will be a wise choice to take? The RGB Edition or the base edition which had only a White Backlit Light? Secondly, If I fail to get that from anywhere else will taking the Logitech G610 Orion be a good choice? Even if I wanna tale this I need to get it from the US as it's not officially available in my country but I am willing to make that choice. Thirdly, within this price range is there any other keyboard that you have in mind guys? TIA for reading this boring post.

I own my Cougar MX-330G case for almost a year now and I couldn't avoid noticing the existence of two slots for fan controllers on the side of the front panel. I wonder if there is a way to populate these slots, what would be very helpful since there are still 3 fans in my pc that use a programmed fan curve. While searching about it I couldn't fin anything, not even in the manual or in forums.

Hi, I was looking to build a rig for the first time and I had a question about the RGB in the case. The case from Cougar has 2 RGB strips in the front. The issue is the case doesn't specify what kind of pin the RGB lights plug into. I found a review on NewEgg saying the RGB strips are 3 pin but the mobo is 4 pin. Can anyone confirm this? And is there a workaround this? Also, is there any convenient way to turn off the RGB on the fans and on the case if I need to? The lights are distracting at night. https://www.newegg.com/global/ae-en/asrock-fatal1ty-x370-professional-gaming/p/N82E16813157756?Item=N82E16813157756 https://www.newegg.com/global/ae-en/p/N82E16811553056?Description=cougar mx410&cm_re=cougar_mx410-_-9SIAD6HBX93273-_-Product&quicklink=true

Hello, Let's straight into the topics. Recently I bought Cougar Immersa and knowing that I have to use audio jack (because before this headset, I use usb type headset). But after couple of times I'm using this headset, my friends keeps annoyed by my microphone because it's picking up my desktop audio while watching youtube, listen to music, gaming, etc (And hear some noise too from my surrounding although I did check box the echo cancellation and sound suppression). I have one audio jack for speaker that plugged in on the rear panel (motherboard) and my headset on the front panel (Case audio jack port). Did switched it up and didn't work. Here my audio settings on discord and on windows. I tried to re-install the Realtek driver from my motherboard support web page like 10 times but it doesn't work. And I did read like 10 or maybe 20 articles but there's no solution for me. It made me so mad because I just bought it yesterday but it remains "unuseable" Please let me know how to fix this.

Hi guys. I am starting a new watercooled build and am looking for a case similar to the cougar conquer. I have been using a define r5 and define s for a few years now and feel like a change. I would use the cougar case but the two radiators i have are 420 and 280mm. Meaning i cant use it in that case. So i am looking for something similar that i can put on the side of my desk as a showpiece. I dont really mind colour as i will probably be painting it. Thanks guys

Hello. Was playing a game when backlight on my keyboard just went off and keyboard stopped responding. Happened once 4d ago and i just rebooted and it worked fine. This time i tried to reboot , switch usb slots , unplug all other peripherals and no luck. If i reboot with just this keyboard plugged in , it says no keyboard detected , but if i plug in razer naga, it detects 2 keyboards during boot. DM sees it as a usb hub. I can plug in usb in it and headphones with mic and they all work, but keys are not responding. Once it turned on for 5s all of a sudden and it turned off again with windows detecting some malfunction. sorry for bad English and ty for help in advance.

Hi, So recently bought Cougar D12 to be mounted in front of my deepcool tesseract case but I encountered a few problems 1)the crews that came with the fan are too wide and won't fit in the fan 2) I've tried putting them into holes in case but the same scenario 3) exactly the same scenario with rubber screws that came in the fan box What should I do with this?
