I'm planning to build a PC which is similar to a friend's (the planned build on pcpartpicker). He completed his build earlier and encountered a problem regarding the memory frequency. Apparently the motherboard would boot but there's no display output when the memory frequency is set to 3600mhz but apparently works fine at 3200mhz. Are there any fixes for this problem?

Hey guys, so I currently own the ,,16GB (2x 8192MB) Corsair Vengeance LPX LP black DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16-18-18-36 Dual Kit`` and I thought about upgrading to 32 GB ram (Running it in quad channel). I have recently been adding more RGB to my System (Because as everyone knows RGB gives you more Skill and FPS) And I thought about combining the RGB Version of my Ram (16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO BLACK DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit), with my current Ram (16GB (2x 8192MB) Corsair Vengeance LPX LP BLACK DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16-18-18-36 Dual Kit). I know that you usually shouldn't combine different ram sets, but i thought that those two sets probably have the same chipset and only one of them simply gets RGB put on top... What's your opinion on that? Can I combine those two or did I make some sort of a thinking error? Thx for the help PS: Sorry for potential spelling mistakes, I`m from Germany :)

Rx5700xt and a R5 2600, running Supposition benchmark on high or Cinnebench r20, nothing seems to get the PSU to start spinning its fans. Once I took off the side panel to touch the top of the PSU and it was pretty hot. On system boot the fan does one or two spins and then never spins again. Is the "zero fan" thing going too far with this one? Its only few months old.

Hey everyone, last year I built my first my gaming PC. Like many of you I really like RGB but due to badget had to go for non RGB. So now when I need upgrade I go for RGB options where I can. I'm currently running 2x8 corsair vengeance LPX dual channel and want to add an extra 16gb but wanted some rbg so was thinking about the vengeance rgb pro (same timings, latency, etc). I read in several different places (tom's hardware, reddit, youtube) that LPX and Pro only differ in size and color, however some friends were telling me to just get the same sticks and problem solved. Given that LPX and Pro are (supposedly) the same thing just different look, and assuming the same specs, is getting the Pros something that I can safely do or just better to stick with LPX ? Edit: not sure if matters but I'm currently running an ASRock X570M Pro4 with Ryze 5 3600x and rtx 2060

I am building a new system: Ryzen 5 2600x B450 Aorus Elite Corsair Vengeance LPX 16Gb Seagate Barracuda 2 TB Asus Geforce GTX 1650 OC edition EVGA 500w 80 plus The PC turns on, the CPU light flashes red, the RAM light flashes red, then the CPU light flashes red again and it shuts down. I have returned and replaced every single component. The problem persists. This is my first AMD build. Everything should be compatible. Am I missing something here?

Hey guys. I decided to reset my PC today due to some graphical performance issues. However, after loading into a fresh install of Windows 11, I noticed that my RAM wasnt overclocked. I went into BIOS to check to see if DOCP was enabled, and it was, however my RAM still seems to be running at 2133mHz instead of the 3600mHz that it is capable of running at. One thing that I have noticed is, after I make changes in BIOS, I get the American Megatrends splash screen stating that the PC booted into safe mode due to changes made in the BIOS, but when I go back into the BIOS, the DOCP settings arent reset, and remain on DOCP enabled. Specs are as follows: CPU - Ryzen 9 5900x GPU - EVGA 3070ti Ultra Motherboard: Asus ROG X570-E Memory: 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3600mHz kit My BIOS is completely up to date, so is my chipset driver, and I've got no idea what to do. Keep in mind, I had NO issue overclocking my RAM before I reset my PC, and I was able to successfully OC my RAM when I first built my computer, so I have no clue what the issue is now. I've tried disabling and then re-enabling DOCP, but this hasnt worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I bought the Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 3200MHz ang tried to pair it to Gskill Ripjaw 2x8GB 3200MHz and I can't make it to work 100% stable. It is only working stable without XMP or with the speed of 2166MHz. Here's my specs: R7 2700x OC'ed to 4GHz RTX 2070 Super B450M Mortar Max 750Watts Sseasonic Focus Here's what I did so far: Changed the DRAM Voltage to 1.40 Changed the frequency from 3200MHz to 2800MHz Reseat all ram Memory Diagnostic (No issues found) BIOS reset XMP 1 and 2 The nearest configuration that it works for 1 hour without restarting is changing the DRAM voltage to 1.40 with the frequency 3000MHz, but when I remove the RAM, the kits are too hot. Looking to install an additional 2x16 Gb of RAM on my Asus B450-F motherboard (with a Ryzen 7 3700x). Right now I have 2x16 Gb of Corsair Vengeance LPX installed in slots A2 and B2, both running properly at 3200 MHz. When I try to install the additional RAM in A1 and B1 the RAM is recognized, but it defers to the motherboard default frequency of 2133 MHz despite the Ai overclock tuner being set to DOCP with a target frequency of 3200 MHz. Wondering if I can get some help with getting the RAM speed to 3200 MHz with all 64 Gb of RAM. This is my first pc build so I am fairly novice. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Hey everyone I am new here. Brand new build. First custom PC since 09 (still running, repurposed as media PC) CPU - Ryzen 1700 (stock cooler for now, Corsair h115i in the mail) MB - ASUS Prime x370 GPU - Gigabyte G1 GTX 1080 RAM- Corsair Vengeance LED 32gb (2x16) 3000mhz OS/Programs drive - Samsung evo 850 sata 500g Cache/scratch and working files- Samsung evo 960 m.2 nvme 500g Mass storage - Seagate 3tb 3.5 7200 hhd Back up clone drive - Seagate 3tb 2.5 5400 hhd (was from laptop lol) PSU - Raid Max 650w 80+ gold CASE - NZXT s340 elite matte white. Anywho on topic. I am having RAM issues. Hopefully you have experience or heard about the RAM speed issues Ryzen boards have been having. My 3000mhz hit will only run at 2133mhz... But I encountered a weird occurrence. When I first built the PC it wouldn’t boot unless the RAM was set to Auto on everything. Even if I manually selected 2133mhz it would not boot. I updated the bios reading it solved the problem somewhat. Then followed this guide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74gO0e-4-A8 TLDW set Ram to D.O.C.P but drop too 2666mhz, bump the voltages on DRAM and set the boot voltage thresholds a bit higher. I managed to get stable with 2666mhz with this guide. And a modest 3.7 on the cpu, I am not planning on going further until the AIO cooler comes. But anyway, ran Aida64 watched my temps all that jazz. Decided to leave the CPU but wanted to see if I could get the rated 3000mhz on the ram. I go into the bios bump the ram to 2933mhz. Reset. Computer wouldn’t post didn’t even cycle reset. Had to unplug power and take the ram out and in to get it to post. So I think, yep no worries. Wont run at 3000mhz. Im happy with 2666mhz since its a new platform updates will come. I drop the ram back down to 2666mhz and reset. PC cycled and failed to boot into windows... same settings that worked 10mins earlier... but now failed. Long story short, basically if I touch ANY RAM settings it wont boot. Just like when it had the stock BIOS. So I reinstalled the current BIOS, no change... WTF!?!?!? Anyone encounter a similar issue where a previous stable OC wont work anymore? Or with ASUS x370 boards and ryzen????

Hi guys, I am looking to build a new pc with some rgb goodness and i'm interested in buying an Asus ROG Strix motherboard and some Corsair Vengeance RGB pro ram. I was looking into the fact if the rgb is Asus Aura sync compatible and it seems that only recently Corsair has released an iCue plugin that would enable Aura sync to control the vengeance rgb pro ram modules. See article here: ENABLING AURA SYNC CONTROL FOR YOUR CORSAIR RGB MEMORY But as this is so recent I can't find any experiences online and i'm wondering if anyone here had any experience with this? Or knows some forum posts or just any information in general concerning this topic. I would like to answer some questions like, is it working well, does the iCue software needs active all the time for syncing with Aura, does the link with Aura Sync remain after reboots? I know the G.Skill Trident Z series are compatible with Aura sync out of the box but I like the look of the Vengeance ram more so I want to go for that, unless anyone can really convince me with good reasons why the Trident Z series is better. I'm using a X470 gaming plus mobo paired with a Ryzen 7 2700x with 4 sticks of corsair vengeance 3000mhz. Everything runs smoothly except for when XMP profile in the BIOS is switched on. At first it boots and runs normally and after running some applications it crashs and post a blue screen of death . Any idea how I can fix it? Many thanks.

Hi guys I really need your help , so recently I built a ryzen PC: (MB : Asus tuf b450 pro gaming Cpu: ryzen 5 2400g with Vega 11 igpu Ram: Corsair Vengeance rgb pro 2x8 3000mhz CMW16GX4M2C3000C15 psu: Thermaltake 530w smart se 80+ bronze) after installing Windows I was having bsods.after trying several things I figured that one of the ram was faulty and running memtest86 just confirmed that.so Windows is running perfectly with the first stick and I got 0 errors on memtest86 , on the other hand when running with the second stick I was getting random memory management bsod and got over 12000 errors on the first 3 test of memtest86 then the test just stops because there are too many errors. The weird thing is when I tried the" faulty" ram stick on an Intel system it just worked perfectly no bsod and memtest86 reported 0 errors. With that being said I'm totally lost and I really don't know what to do I hope u can help me to figure something out PS: -latest bios version -latest chipset driver -latest graphics driver -latest windows version -tried the working stick on every slot of Mobo that should mean that the Mobo is fine -tried uefi default settings and deactivating xmp profile running at 2133mhz -the system is working fine with the working stick that should exclude the CPU too - also weirder the "faulty" ram can work occasionally and rarely perfectly fine until I restart windows ... I call that a "lucky boot"

MOTHERBOARD: MSI x370 xPower Gaming Titanium 11GB OC GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080Ti 16GB OC CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1,800 STORAGE: Samsung V-NAND SSD 970 Evo NVMe M.2 1TB RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4; 4x8GB | 32GB CPU COOLER: Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 Premium Dual-Tower CPU Cooler for AMD AM4 PSU: Corsair HX-1200 Here's a visual list of the main parts: Johnny Marvell - Phanteks Enthoo Elite build So i had the CPU fan connected properly, the GPU with the double ended cord, and of course the 24-pin ATX cord plugged into the mobo. I have my monitor connected directly to the mobo, with both HDMI and DisplayPort cables just in case the default display is HDMI. The motherboard cycles, the GPU, and PSU fans stop, and the CPU fans keep spinning, and when it stops it shows error code 0d. I checked the RAM and GPU to make sure they were sitting in their slots properly, same error code. I reset. Same error code. I hold the power button to turn the mobo off, switch the PSU off, and then hold the power button for 30 seconds to get rid of any residual charge. Then i tried testing the RAM. First testing the mobo with one RAM chip at a time. Then with just two in first and third slots, and then again with all four. Same error code. I tried resetting a few times, same error code. I then removed the CPU, and reset it, put paste again (pea format). And tried testing the motherboard that way (with all RAM and m.2). Then i removed the battery, and set it back again. Same error code. The finally i removed the m.2 NVMe, same error code. Reseated the m.2, Same error code. I truly give up. If it's a BIOS issue i can't fix it myself because it won't boot to the MSI BIOS so that i could update it. ~~~~~ my friend who has build hundreds of computers helped me do other tests. We removed the cords from the mother board and checked to see if any pins were missing, none were (except for the usual on the 24 pin side of the atx cord; we corroborated that with another 24 pin that i had and it was the same). Next we booted the mobo with just the RAM and no GPU. Same error code. Next we booted with no RAM and no GPU, mobo display showed only temperature of CPU. We also tested each RAM AGAIN, one by one in the first slot, and every time we got the same error message. So the conclusion is that it's not the fault of the GPU or the RAM, or the CPU since we checked it for damaged (missing pins etc) and didn't find any. The conclusion is that the mobo is defective. If you have anyy other thoughts please let me know with all that I've written. In an hour from the time of this second e-mail, i will make one last effort by removing the power, and the battery from the mobo to reset it that way. If that doesn't work, then you will have to help me by telling me what i should tell the RMA center here to get a refund since I still have at least a year and a half on the manufacturer warranty. ~~~~~ I attempted to do that last test and got code 62 which is Installation of the PCH runtimes Services.... I realized i forgot to plug in the gpu cords lol I powered down, plugged in the GPU cords and got the old error 0d again....Without the GPU i now get just a temperature reading for the CPU. 99% sure the mobo is garbage. And yes i took precautions. I had anti-statis mat on the table, clipped to the inner frame of my powered-down old PC, and even had an anti-static wrist strap, connected to same place. And i also decided to put the mobo on a box (no choice since the GPU IO protrudes on the left side, so it need to be higher off the table. I really give up at this point Contacted RSI with same info I've shown you here.

Hi everyone, My old PC is finally kicking the bucket so I'm looking for something new. I'm not the biggest gamer and I just want a good stable build for day to day work and a Plex media server. I decided to go with AMD Ryzen 5 (3600) and as such I've settled on the Asus PRIME B450-PLUS motherboard. From what I looked into, I'll need a gen 2 processor to update the bios before I can use the 3600. Doable. Not fun but at least I found out in advance so I don't go mad on my first day. What I need your help and opinion with, is the RAM. I decided to go with Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 Dual Channel Kit. The motherboard says it's compatible up to 3200MHz RAM but as an OC. (Asus B450 specs for RAM >>>> 3200(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2666/2400/2133 MHz) Will I be able to boot with the RAM sticks on the first run or do I need to borrow a lower frequency stick from someone, do some Bios configuration and then add my 3000 RAM? I would really appreciate your input on this so I know how to manage my expectations and organize my build. Thank you in advance!

So I recently upgraded from a i5 3570k to a ryzen 5 3600. I have basically been waiting for the Ryzen 3000 series to come out. Boy I am happy with this upgrade everything is just better now. I have been playing a little bit at first with some bad turnouts and good turnouts, just messing around. Ran it one month on default and now I am playing a little bit again. With some interesting results. Looks like things are working out pretty good or am I missing something? After 20 minutes of Aida 64 (see image). All cores on 4200 and 1.325v Don't look at the max volt, it is from before I applied the new settings. I am using Ryzen Master because it is way more convenient than the Bios of my motherboard and just nice to mess around on the fly. Talking about my motherboard, this is my complete setup: -Asrock B450M Pro4 -Ryzen 5 3600 -Scythe Mugen 5 pcgh edition (great! As you can see average 834 rpm, the included fans do max a little bit above 900 rpm, I believe this cooler has much more potential than achieved here) -2x8GB corsair vengeance lpx 3200 C16 (having major issues here, xmp profile just doesn't work, still have to solve this problem) -RTX 2060 MSI Ventus (not recommended at all! Does the job but surely not in an elegant way) -2 SSD's (2x500GB) (an NVME will be coming one day) -2 HDD's (2TB and 4 TB) -Fractal Design Mini or something case -4 case fans (all case fans are running on the lowest speed, I don't know the rpm, they are controlled with el cheapo fan controller in the 5" bay) -Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 750W (last but not least, probably the best part of my whole rig, a little bit overkill, but I really didn't want to be limited by my PSU the next 10 years ?) So my questions are, what do you think of this stage of my PC-evolution? Is my "overclock" any good? Seems a little bit to good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with this motherboard and RAM combination? Right now running at 3200mhz, but timings are ?.

For anyone who may be seeing similar issues, I was unable to configure the RGB via Corsair iCUE for my Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM (CMW16GX4M2C3200C16) on my Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi) X470 Motherboard. After contacting both Asus and Corsair, it turns out Corsair are aware of the issue being due to the latest BIOS (v1103) for the motherboard. Corsair communication snippet below: I was able to fix this by reverting the BIOS version to v0804. Corsair iCUE immediately picked up the RAM on reboot and I was able to configure the RGB to my heart's desire! Was there some kind of security issue patched that iCUE was using to configure the RGB RAM? Does having RGB RAM and SPD Write enabled make your system more vulnerable?

Is Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 4x16GB DDR4 DRAM 3600Mhz compatible with the Asus Prime Z370-A motherboard?

Hey guys! I am exhausted from searching the web for an answer, so I hope asking around here gets me to the solution. My System: Pentium G4560 Kaby Lake Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz MSI B250 PC MATE MSI GTX970 My Problem: While upgrading my rig I got a sweet deal on the RAM, which is obviously overkill for my system. Yet it won´t run at the boards max speed which is 2400 iirc. I tried everything in the UEFI and even some MSI tools. Do you have any ideas?
