Hi, I've seen mixed messages as far as which fan headers I should plug devices into. Right now, I have the actual pump plugged into a CHA_FAN header, and the two radiator fans (placed as output) plugged into CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT. Do you guys think this is right? or should I use a different configuration? Thanks!

Hello, was thinking about that question for a while but I failed to actually have some precise information regarding this subject. My mobo or cooler can be damaged from plugging both fans from the radiator in the motherboard? Using a y cable reaching all the way through the cpu_opt pins. After buying an all in one cooler for my corsair obsidian 750D I installed it in the top where the 3 120mm fans could be installed, and once I had finished I started the computer on its side to see it would post and all the stuff. However after powering it down and restarting it in the upright position I found to my surprise that there was a whining sound from the computer, I checked it and it was coming from the corsair H110 water cooler. I thought nothing of it at the time as the pump plug was situated on a 3 pin so speed wasn’t being controlled, I though “it must be loud because it going full speed”. However I have now had the cooler for over 1 year and the exact same noise persists even on idle and it becomes less under load. Please help I haven’t see others with this problem and it still makes less noise when on its side, what do? will attempt to upload a sound file asap

Ok, so I've finally switched back to my corsair h110 from the noctua air cooler I've been using (it's in my profile), and I've switched from the cooler master stock thermal paste (ran out of the noctua paste when I was fitting the air cooler, luckily I had that lying around) to the Arctic silver 5 and the problem I'm having is, that my temps haven't changed at all. I'm running on stock settings with turbo turned on because I'm somewhat terrified of messing with the bios. I wasn't expecting anything amazing from this transition, but I was expecting some kind of drop. My ambient temperature is about 70 degrees F (possibly lower when the outside temp drops tonight because I have my window open). Right now according to CPUz im sitting at high 20's, low 30's with this window open, twitch chat open, and twitch itself open in a seperate window. I was just expecting more. Am I expecting too much? or should I reapply my thermal paste? (I'm never sure I'm applying the right amount, too much, or too little.) I did the dot method instead of line. I do have trouble mounting the corsair water block (I actually have had difficulty mounting all cooling solutions, I just don't have the 3 arms and hands necessary for it). I'm just not sure if I did it right or not, if I could do it better, or if I did it just fine. Thoughts? opinions? questions? Right now things seem to be fine, I was just expecting somewhat lower temps. (oh and I've got 2 noctura pressure optimized fans ontop of the rad, with 2 corsair purple led 140's on the bottom of it, exhausting out of the top of my case., all fans are on full blast, I have the water block pump wired to the cpu optional header, the one right next to the cpu_fan header. and that is running at bios "Normal" mode.)

Hi guys, I just want to ask is it normal that I can't read the pump speed of my new Corsair H110? I tried Speedfan but it doesn't show any reading of the pump. I need help guys, or is this normal? Thanks.

So, I'm thinking about moving from my stock AMD cooler. I should have in the first place, but money was an issue when I built the PC. The thing is, I'm getting rather close to 60°C while gaming (Guild Wars 2). Not the worse temp, but it's starting to get me worried since most sites say you shouldn't go above 60°C and summer(Or Spring, it's all the same in Ohio) just started. I currently don't have my AC on at home yet either. But to the real question, I'm looking into the Corsair H110 rad/pump which is about the price point I'm looking at. The H100i seems to look a bit better with better fans, so that's also a consideration, Which of these is the best option for what I'm running or should I be looking at something else? I am thinking of upgrading from my NZXT Havik 140 heatsink. Which of these would be a better value for money (including aesthetics and noise). I know the H110 is theoretically better but the H100i has more features...

Once again, going though post after post, I realised my upcoming build is still far from complete. This time around, I have noticed the top of the 350D can house a 280mm rad and judging the pros and cons, I decided to go with it. The two most popular 280mm AIO seem to be the Corsair H110 and the NZXT Kraken x60 and to me they seem pretty much the same. However it is the fans which worry me the most as both stock fans are far from perfect. The colour scheme for my build will be primarily black and red. What I require from my fans is that it has to be fairly quiet but strong performers. Black with some red or all black. PWM is not necessary however it will be nice to have it. Price is not an issue to me so I hope you can recommend me what you think will be the best that will suit my needs. Also, excluding the fans, which AIO might perform better: the Corsair or NZXT? I built a computer a few weeks ago, but left the country, (and sadly, my beloved new computer) on vacation a day or two later. I'm less than a week from coming back from my trip, and need to pick up a new AIO cooler to hopefully arrive at my house before then. (BTW, here's the link to my post a while back if anyone's interested, and here are my specs.) Why am I purchasing a new cooler, you ask? I had a catastrophic incident with my corsair h100i, where it functioned poorly and actually smoked out after two hours of extremely idle CPU use. Yes, it actually smoked out. The hardest the processor had to work was installing windows. So the part's been sent back and I'm in the market for a new closed loop. Please do not recommend kits or custom loop solutions. I am actually going to be custom cooling this whole thing next year so it really is entirely unnecessary right now. Thanks in advance. I'm currently wary of the Corsair closed loops, so while the h110 might otherwise be an option, I will likely not purchase it now. I'm certainly not buying another h100i. The real contenders, in my mind, seem to be: NZXT Kraken x61: My first choice right now, concerns will follow. Swiftech H220-X: Was not aware of this product until Linus' video, but I don't think I will buy it, as upgradeability isn't a concern right now as all of my parts are already on water. XSPC Raystorm 750 EX360: It's the only kit that fits in my price range and has been recommended to me multiple times. IMO it seems too loud, and I would pull out a majority of the parts out next year anyways, so it seems almost like a waste of money. Tubing included, it would run me ~$180 USD plus uncertainty and no warranty in the case of a leak. Cooler Master Seidon 240L: Too loud... Recommendations?: I really want to hear any suggestions that you guys may or may not have. Anything I may have missed would be vital. Thanks in advance. My most important concern: Will the NZXT Kraken reach the front of my Corsair 750D? That would be the most important piece of information I hope to ascertain by opening this thread. Kudos!

I would be getting a new cooler for my 4690k so i was thinking what would bes best for AIO and compactible for my 500r case. NZXT KrakenX61 did that it was compactible but i need to drill holes but the same corsair h110 ( in the sense of 280mm AIO) shows its compactible. theres also the famous noctua NH-d15 is in the race . so i need ur opinions to decide what should i do?? yeah i would be overclocking and it needs to be silent. NOTE:OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS ARE ALSO ALLOWED

I was wondering if anyone here has a case that isn't corsair that can mount a H110 on top of the case without modifications. If i need to mod it, what tools would i need to use? just for clarification the H110 has a 280mm radiator.
