  1. The primary focus here is on my case and needs for a blu ray reader, so ill save the details on my other components unless someone asks. Im currently in a Corsair 750D (didnt need a case this big but i couldn't find a 450 anywhere at time of purchase) and im looking to upgrade to something more modern that still has at least one 5.25" bay for an internal bluray drive. Im considering the Fractal Define 7 for its mixed functionality and style. Plus, i like that if i get the money down the road its set up very nicely for a custom liquid loop. My only concern is that im looking for a new mid tower to get out of the behemoth full tower ive been in for some time and the Define 7 is literally the same demensions, albeit a few inches sorter from top to bottom. Anybody have ideas i may not have considered? Thanks!
  2. Just got my sweet ass Corsair 750D airflow edition. But one of the legs are broken. Anybody know where I can get a new leg part? Or has anyone made like a leg replacement or tips to making new stands?
  3. Hey guys I just wanna say thanks for taking the time to try and help me. My question is simple, yet complicated. I run in a corsair 750D (pretty big case) and I want to try and use corsair GPU watercoolers for both of my 970's using their HG10 N970 GPU brackets. I was wondering if anyone knows if any of the corsair GPU watercoolers hoses/radiators will reach from the GPU, to the front or bottom fan mounting points. I have looked for this answer online for a few days now, but I am hoping someone here will be able to tell me if "No, the hoses won't reach" or "Yes/It will work if you do it "x" way". Thank you for your help.
  4. Hello! First post here. I want your guys' opinion on which case is the best for watercooling. These choices are racking my brain. If you have a different choice of a good water cooling case less than 250$, plz recommend me some. I am looking to watercool my i7 4770k and maybe my 2 780ti's. Also, I will have a 360mm rad. P.S I really like this idea that I found on google images. This is a picture of a plan of another person who has the exact configuration of mine, but with a 750d. I might not go with this picture idea, but I would like to give you guys a rought picture of what my build wants to look like.(Take out the 280mm rad and the watercooling gpu in the pic). Thank you!
  5. Needs some tips on where i could put some cathodes in a Corsair 750d. I also wanted to see some examples or thoughts on how i could hide the wires plus adapter. Oh I am trying to hide the lights so its not to hard on the eyes.
  6. Hello, This is my first post on the forum (yay me). I have been lurking for a few days and thought that maybe some of y'all could give me some helpful suggestions. I am currently using a Cooler Master Elite 430 (got the cheapest/decent looking case I could get) and am looking to upgrade it. I was thinking a Corsair 750D, NZXT Source 530 (friend of mine got this case and it is just a really nice case for the price) or the Phanteks Enthoo Pro/Luxe (saw Linus's review and he was raving about the Pro). The reason I want to upgrade the case is that : 1) Would like to add a Corsair H100i (or an equivalent cooler) 2) Room to actually move around when I am adding/changing components 3) Looks. So currently I am leaning towards the 750D because it looks classy, has plenty of room for fans, cpu cooler, small custom loop, SSD mounting tray on the back, cable management. The thing I have been hearing about the 750D is that it doesn't have enough ventilation in the front where you would install the intake fans, does anyone know of this actually being a problem or more nitpicking? Would love to hear what y'all think and would be open to other suggestions (mainly Full Towers). My components are an i5-2500k (stock), AMD Radeon HD 6950 (looking to upgrade once the 300 series from Radeon comes around) Cooler Master V6 GT, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LP RAM and 2 120GB SSDs, Corsair TX850 (overkill, planned on going for 2x 6950s).
  7. Hello everyone! Just recently built a new PC and found out that the Front I/O of my Corsair 750D Airflow Edition case was broken. I ordered a new one and have here with me and I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to replace the Front I/O of that case. Thanks so much for any help!

  9. I need help mounting my 270mm XSPC Photon Res&Pump combo into my Corsair 750D. But the case doesn't have the holes in place for me to mount the res natively. I have 240mm Radiator at the bottom with fans and 360mm rad with fans on top so the Res can't go on top or bottom. I googled and I found this DIY post http://www.overclock.net/t/1489182/xspc-photon-270-in-the-750d-diy-acrylic-mounting-plate But I haven't got the power tools to make such a mount. PS I live in New Zealand. *I don't want to 'mod' the case(it's my baby I don't want impale random holes in it)* *Although I could, I won't move the 240mm rad to the front mount* Is there anyway I can have the custom mount made and delivered to New Zealand?
  10. I've been going back and forth between the 750D and 900D for a while now, from a building stand point the 900D would be awesome for my future plans. Plenty of room to and a second card and even go water cooled after that. The 750D is great from a "cost effective" stand point compared to the 900D. Still room to go dual sli and water cooled at some point. Also the bottom drawer that comes with the 900D is a very attractive feature to me. Any other thoughts or recommendations on different cases? PS. How does everyone have there pc build in there signature?
  11. well since i took the plunge into the Corsair 750D, i have had some reservations on maximum limits of what the case can actually hold from all the different review sites information. the above picture is a ASUS Rampage IV Extreme, XSPC RX360, and Corsair SP120 fans shoe-horned into a Corsair 750D. the actual fitment is probably a deal-breaker for most water cooling enthusiasts. slim-to no space for a standard 60mm thick radiator in the roof of a Corsair 750D. the 8-pin on this and other motherboards is very questionable with a standard 60mm radiator installed. to mount this, you actually have to allow the fan to press against the 8-pin/motherboard with some pressure. some of the builders will not think of this as acceptable and possibly get discouraged on what hardware they might already own or have just purchased. i believe this can be easily remedied like the Fractal Design roof layout, to offset the 120 mounts more towards the left side panel (or just inline with the 140 mounting holes) if Corsair deems a revision to the roof mounting strategies. the radiator mount in the front is a different story. Corsair has used raised mounting pads to locate the fans (120/140 x2). to mount the radiator (240/280) these pads (not used on radiator installation) interfere with the fan mounting of the radiator and the use of standard 30mm fan screws. its a tiny inconvenience, as most radiator manufacturers supply 30mm long fan screws (to prevent radiator punctures). this application will require 33mm screws (?) for fan/radiator installation on the front panel. meaning user will probably have to cut down 35mm screws to a shorter length. floor mounting of a 240 radiator is almost flawless. my edition will only allow four (half) fan screws to secure the radiator to the case (rear HDD mount). i saw on another forum, there are adapter brackets (for the asking) to use all eight screws or use a template, mark new hole locations and drill new mounting holes. just a word of warning, my XSPC RX240 was a very, very tight fitting to the forward bulkhead. so it might be possible the brackets will help this issue. the XSPC has a shallow short end tank as some other radiator manufacturers have a taller tank, so this might be a hard lesson to get into up on assembly. but use of the brackets will raise the assembly from a level floor seal, to an elevated position to allow case air into the radiator, instead of direct exterior air. Corsair has definitely known the radiator in the floor was probably going to be an option as the front fans have an elevated position as not to mount just in front of the radiator. not going to blast Corsair for not having a filter at the floor location, as they are already getting a lot of grief over it already. so far it is a good case. i'm still bolting/unbolting hardware configurations to best suit the case. once i have a "bead" on what can/cannot be used on the Corsair 750D, i'll hopefully have a member review or just poke the information into the proper section. these are minor roadblocks that can be easily overcome by experienced builders and case modders. but for the first-time users and inexperienced could be kind of hellish and cause some complications in a build. i am hoping @Corsair George can lend some insight on these critiques'.
  12. Hi, im wondering if i should get the NZXT H440 case. Im going to have a 5960X overclocked and two msi gtx 980ti's in sli. I don't know if this case suits my hardware because it could get too hot. Should i get the 750d case instead, how much cooler would it be if I did. Also how many extra watts do I need overclocking the cpu and the graphics cards? 13. Right so I'm thinking of buying a new PC case and I'm not sure whether to go for a mid tower or a full tower. I've found one of each size I like, for the mid tower I like the Corsair Obsidian 450D and for the full tower the Corsair Obsidian 750D. With this in mind, (since I'm only air cooling) is there any benefit to using a full tower for strictly air cooling? Lets say I had an identical number of fans in an identical configuration in both a full tower and mid tower would there literally be no difference in the cooling capabilities of either case? I'm thinking the full tower maybe has more room for the air to flow? Thanks, GR412
  14. Hey guys this is my name is Alex and I was wondering if you guys could help me pick out stuf for my rig. I am buying a new case soon and I am torn between the nzxt s340 and the Corsair 750d,now i have the thermal take v3 amd edition and this is a pc part pickerlink to my pc if i got the 750d. What wold you change? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cDpFYJ
  15. Hi! Since I do some media work, I'd like a way to read discs and cards. Doing this, however, takes up two of the three 5.25" bays on my Corsair 750D, which does not look the greatest when such bays are used up. Some have used this product to do exactly as mentioned, putting both a disc and card reader into one 5.25" bay. However it looks like it is unavailable for purchase. I was wondering if there was any other product similar to this? Also, I was wondering if it would be possible to stealth this somehow. With a normal 5.25" bay, I could just take the aluminum off the cover and stick it to the drive bay (like this), however doing this would prevent me from using the SD card slots. Is it possible to make a door out of the bay cover instead (like the 900D's front I/O cover or like the XFX Type 1 Bravo)? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  16. Hello, I'm having a hard time deciding a case. [What I want] 1. Decent airflow I will use H100i to cool cpu I like to use reference GPU card because..... it just looks cool idc how bad it perform compare to after market.....it just loooks awwwwwwesome 2. Looks clean and cool 3. Not extremely huge ^ I bought a pre-built pc last year (I refund it cuz it was horrible) and the case of it was huuuge. I'm not familiar with computer building things (I know all the parts and stuff but doesn't have any actual experience with pc) I just want mid sized case that doesn't look extremely dumb and big. Dimensions (HxWxD) Inches: 22.4" x 9.64" x 21.92" Front Ports: 4 x USB 3.0, HD Audio, 1x SuperCharge Front: 1 x 230mm Rear: 1 x 120mm Top: 2 x 230mm <- removed and replaced with Corsair H100i (have 2 120mm fans) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This was the case i had on my prebuilt pc and it was too big for me. 4. room for future upgrades 5. PC that can handle following spec i7 5930k Asus x99 deluxe motherboard Gtx 980 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Just put it simple because these are the main parts that "HAVE" to fit in side the case 6. Not extremely noisy I'm not really sure how loud the fans are so yeah... In my opinion, the noise from my prebuilt pc (230mm fan on the front) didn't really bothered me. <- My prebuilt pc had quiet a lot of fans running in full speed with after market video card in idle (Not really sure in under load because I refund the pc as soon as I turned it on once) [Anyway] I'm thinking about Corsair 450D, 540 and 750D. I am not sure if 750D is smaller than case from pre built pc. Not planning on doing any insane liquid cooling beside using H100i for the CPU. Also, what's better on airflow + not that loud under load 450D vs 540 vs 750D? I am planning on filling out all the fans that case can handle and I'm not sure how loud it's gonna be. I'll be fine if it's loud as 1x230mm and 3x120mm fans running in full speed. What's the best case for High airflow + future upgrade + mid size + clean looking? I'm open for any cases if it has following stats. Price doesn't matter for me.
  17. Hello All Ever since the Youtube review of the Asus P9X79-E WS I have come to the conclusion that it really is the best board for my build. The basic line is I want a Gaming computer but it has to double as a CAD and rendering workstation. The P9X79-E WS will give me that and more. Two twin Slot GPU's, a Quadro K4000, RAID card and Audio card is the rough profile. (And possibly a Tesla down the line if it will fit!) However, the board is of CEB form factor; derived from EEB and ATX forms, and frustratingly doesn't seem to be compatible with any of the cases I would want sitting on my desk. The 2 cases I am looking at are the Corsair 750D and NZXT Phantom 630, both of which have the right amount of internal space but do not have the correct stand off positions. Has anyone tried putting a CEB form factor MB inside a ATX case? Do they fit without much problem or does the case need modifying to get a secure fit? I was rather hoping a follow up would be done since many people will be looking at the board now Linus has introduced us to it, I just don't want to buy a ugly case just to use one of the best looking MB's around. Thanks for reading Eventorizon
  18. Hey guys! Today I thought I'd lay out the plans for my first rig that I'll build (Had assistance with the last one). Any and all suggestions and reccomendations will be welcomed and very much appreciated . A few things worth noting are that I live in Australia and the budget for this build is somewhere between $2000 and upto $3000, However I like to buy hardware that'll give me the most bang for the buck and I can't justify forking out ridiculous amounts of money for the lastest and greatest hardware for only a marginal performance increase. Now the aim for this build is to give me a nice playable experience on all games for the next couple of years. Namely 120fps on BF4 and a smooth framerate when Star Citizen gets released. ( I'll probably go SLI/Crossfire a year or two down the track, when it is necessary.) The plan is to purchase a nice BENQ, 120hz, 1080p Monitor Initially with potienal for two more 1080p monitors being added in a year or two. For peripherals I'll probably stick with my Deathadder 2013 however any reccomendations for a nice fairly priced Mechanical Keyboard would be welcomed. Also any suggestions for audiophile headsets (and soundcard maybe?) would be appreciated. I was thinking maybe a AudioTechnica AD700x due to it being fantastic for FPS, or perhaps I'll wait to see how Audiotechnicas new "Gaming Headsets" fair. I already have a copy of Windows 7 64bit so thats not a problem. Now for the actual build I decided to go with a nice black/red theme as I want something that looks nice without sacrificing on performance. EDIT: This is what I've decided on purchasing, I'm still not 100% sure on everything but I've explored my options quite a bit more and I'm happy with this. Reccomendations will still be welcomed Case Corsair Obsidian 750D Black Full Tower Case w Window No PSU 3x140mm a - $209.00 http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=1391&bid=4&sid=140075 Motherboard MSI Z87-GD65-Gaming Z87 4DDR3, Killer E2200 GBLAN 8SATA3 4USB3 PS2 VGA DVI HDMI 6AUDIO 3PCEe3.0, CX- $259.00 http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=376&bid=2&sid=135900 CPU Intel Core i7 4770K LGA1150 CPU 3.5Ghz 8Mb Cache Haswell -$399.00 http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=13&bid=4&sid=134422 PSU Corsair RM-850 ATX PSU 80 Plus Gold Full Modular - $219.00 http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=140&bid=4&sid=143179 RAM Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 CMY8GX3M2A1600C9R 1600MHz Dimm, Unbuffered, 9-9-9-24, Vengeance Pro Red Hea - $119.00 http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=153&bid=4&sid=134844 GPU NEW! 21. Hi, so I'm building my first PC and I'm a bit puzzled about how I should be connecting the case fans so that I can control them individually. The diarrhea brown color of Noctua fans fits with my color scheme , so I'm going to be using those. Case: Corsair 750D Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Formula CPU: Intel i7-4770K Cooling: Top mounted H100i with 2 Noctua F12's for exhaust out the top of the case in a pull configuration, 2 Noctua A14's for front intake, 1 Noctua A14 for rear exhaust and I'm unsure if I need this last one, 1 bottom mounted intake Noctua F12. They're all PWM. So basically my question is how should I be connecting these fans to the motherboard and PSU so that I can monitor them and control their RPM? If not possible, what am I missing or do you guys know of a guide explaining this?
  22. So I want to do a new build in the Corsair 750D with a custom loop. I want to get the biggest rads in the front and top without modding anything. Definitely going with Alphacool for the rads. I've spent the last hour looking at watercooled builds in the 750D owners club on overclock.net . Now I know that I should just get a 360 XT45 in the top and 280 Monsta in the front and call it a day but I'd love to have a UT60 in the top. Do you have a water cooled 750D? What's your rad setup? What are your CPU and GPU temps? Will the UT60 fit with a Hero VII in there? I'll be using NF-F12's and A14's for the rads. Thanks for reading. Any help is appreciated.

  24. Hi, I'm building a computer atm, and while installing my Maximus VI formula board into my Corsair 750D case I ran into a hich. You see, part of the board is not touching the prebuilt motherboard standoffs, in this case three of the screws can't be screwed in to the case. I've attached a photo so you can see for yourself. Anyone have any explanation/solution for this? The other holes has screws in them, no problem there, which makes me even more confused
