Budget (including currency): 3000 € Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly Programming(Full Stack Dev), Rendering Videos on daVinci, a nice have would be also gaming, but that is not my prio Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This is the Link for my Beefy PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/k3YwdD I am working as a Full Stack Dev and as a side hustle I want to do Videos. So a faster PC would help alot. I am not doing any 3D rendering, just editing Videos and rendering it. A faster Booting time would be great and if Overclocking punches the number high, then i will go with it :). The Geforce 1080 is going to be ripped off from my old pc and attached to the new one. I need a Monitor that is absolutely astonishing in color, etc. So I think a good monitor is the LG 27GL850-B Mic & Audio Mic.: Blue Yeti beyerdynamics hooked in a Scarlett 2i2 A really good Camera on Budget which can record or used as Webcam via linking stuff and obs etc.. would be awesome If you click on the link than you will see that i have some compatibility issues. I was following the video where they compared amd vs intel beefed up pc's and they changed the Motherboard. Now i am have a compatibility issue :D. Well any suggestions on same or better parts is appreciated Thanks a lot. ps. Later i will upgrade my GPU to a more powerful one like the RTX 3080 or something. So nice would be if i had the parts that can handle a 3080 or even a more powerful one.

I am creating a instructional video series that is going to play on a porn parody theme. Sexy outfits no underwear or nudity. Innuendos and puns, but no George Carlin words. Much like SNL. Cheesy music, then cut instruction. Just concerned about demonetization. How is the youtube morality police. Outside funding is good. I just would like youtube ad money too.

I'm having ideas about making contents for a youtube channel. I have a fresh youtube channel. But it doesn't have many subscribers. If I make a great series of videos about a good content in that fresh youtube channel, is there any chance to succeed in the community? or do I need to wait until I get at least fair amount of followers?

SO I feel like this is a very common question but I can't really find anyone else who has asked this question with similar needs to me. I'm going to be building a rig for gaming, photo editing, video editing and a little bit of graphic design. I just want to know which CPU is better. Thanks a bunch!

Something to getting the form involved could be having the local gov or local groups to invest in linus to bring the ppl of the forum to that region. Record it even a day and life of a worker there. Having a school kids ask some of beat questions.

Hi guys, Currently I am using a Asus ROG PG279Q, which in no way is a bad monitor. The 144 Htz really hertz, and I love it for gaming on my PC and Xbox One. Along with the PC and Xbox, I have a MacBook Pro 15". I find that the pixel density of the Mac is much higher (I mean it is higher) that the Asus. Any suggestions on content creation monitors under $1000? I would like to to be 4k or greater as well. \ Thanks!

Could you please do a video on "CPU's Through the Ages"? This would be similar to the recent GPU videos you have done. Perhaps "Intel 8086" or "Intel 286" all the way up to "Intel i7". A separate video for AMD?

Just posting wondering how many other spanish speaking, or latin-american users there are. Sólo posteaba preguntándome cuánta gente de nuestra bella comunidad de LTT habla español y/o reside en algún país latinoamericano.. ¡Ven, cuéntame de dónde eres! Yo soy mexicano. ¡Mucho gusto! <3

Hi there, For a long time i'm thinking about making YouTube videos about tech, but i tried to record my voice and quickly i found out that in my opinion my voice isn't really something to be in a video and i also found out that i have an extremely background noise and i did many attempts to fix this including with the help of many friends and we we're able to decrease the noice but it was still irritating loud, we tried many things like software, configurations and putting things in front of my pc in order to prevent my pc being the background noise. All of this didn't work so for a long while i was thinking to make videos WITHOUT recording my voice and just edit little text messages in the video in order to still explain the neccessary things to the viewer and prevent their ears from dying from my background noise. My question is the following, is it still relevant to make videos WITHOUT recording your voice in 2017 ? Already Thanks for all answers/responses. Greeting's from The Netherlands.

@Slick Just watched this today. I watch this guy's videos a lot. He's got a good formula, but he's been struggling ever since the YouTube demonitization issue. He's done a few "rant" videos, but the rest of his content is pretty solid. He's trying to change his formula to fit in with the YouTube policies, but it's affecting his content now. I know you guys aren't there to "rescue" people, but I do feel for the guy. I've been watching him since 2011. Anyway, I mentioned it in the Floatplane suggestions/content thread, but his channels are MxR Mods and MxR Plays. So, simple questions: Would this be appropriate content for Floatplane?

Dear Linus, I'm not the first to post this kind of message, which in all likelihood you'll never even know existed (I've never received a reply or acknowledgement from any actual heartfelt...post...to any person/channel/company/conglomerate and I'm not deluded, the chances of this reaching you yourself are equal to lottery ((even better 'like these 14 things and bend over' competition)) odds. Big fan. Again, not delusional, 1M+ views these days is fan-McEffing-tastic and I'm glad the business is looking likely to succeed. BUT (hate it, some actor said "Everything that precedes the word 'but' is horseshit") I don't even watch your content anymore as you've adopted the face reddening trend of making every clip title a crumby click bait title. I KNOW it's probably working in favour (favor) of hits/views/revenue, but I'm guessing (Ye) 'Ol Linus' promised to avoid that when it all beganified. So please, if it's not too financially damaging, go back to titles that just explain the content - rather than saying something like 'WE'VE BEEN GIVEN FIRST PREVIEW OF SOMETHING BEFORE ANYONE ELSE AS USUAL, BUT IS IT ANY GOOD...OR MAYBE IT'S PANTS FOR THE MONEY???!?!?!!?!?!!?!? WHEN IT OBVIOUSLY IS EITHER GOOD OR PANTS.....' The view from my tower is SPECTACULAR, but I am given no choice to say....you're better than that. Secondly, you having helped build my own baby over the years through advice and such, I personally think your next S.C Wars theme should be, how much/well/efficiently can you upgrade a LAPTOP for gaming...I'm after a new laptop so of course it's self indulgent, but hey, content bebay. Yours undoubtedlyunknowingly, Joseph PS. I'v asked you for a job like 5 times already, don't MAKE me ask another 200-300 times...speaking of which, how's your firewall? PPS. THAT'S NOT A THREAT AND I'M NOT A HACKER. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DAYS WHEN YOU COULD TELL A JOKE.

I think LTT could make a new "Building your first PC" series with more hindsight from start to finish. I made one for me internally years ago, but after I lost my document (something that I gave to my friends when YouTube wasn't a thing) I have never saw a video series with enough content to be the first-and-last-stop to building a PC. A video series would be cool if it had the following videos: Picking the parts: Budget, Purpose and Features Explore the world of PC building before opening your wallet. See why you need a PC, for what you will use it primarily, and what additional features you may want to add. until you hit the budget. A PC purpose Talk about workstations: gaming, video/audio edition, photo darkroom, NAS, HTPC, home server & streaming, etc. Why you may want a Laptop or an iPad. Why longevity may affect your pieces upgradeability. Cases: The size matters, but the quality too. Talk about fan headers, space constraints (motherboard size, PSU size), air flow, and cooling compatibility. CPU: Differences between sockets. Cheaper vs Pricey CPUs. Cores and HT. iGPU vs no-iGPU. Why this affects your motherboard platform. Cooling: A CPU Cooler and what is for. Low profile vs behemoths. AIO advantages and disadvantages. Why sometimes the included is just fine. Additional Fans. Common thermal paste. RAM: What is for. Speed vs Latency. Cheap RAM vs High Speed RAM for different workloads. Does RAM matter for gaming? Motherboard: Sizes and features. Connectors, PCI Express and IO. RAM Support. Advanced Features to keep in mind or pass. Footnote on VRMs for overclocking. GPU: What is for. Cheap GPU vs behemoths. Power consumption. Professional grade cards vs gaming cards. What is the VRAM for. What is PCI Express for. Storage: Where your information goes. HDD vs NAND Flash. SATA Connector vs M2. PCI Express vs SATA 6Gbps. Footnote for Intel Optane. PSU: What is. 80Plus and bogus certifications. Cases with PSU included. PSU form factors. To cheap out or not to cheap out. Longevity. Places to look for pieces: PCPartPicker, LogicalIncrements, Pangoly, and others sites that recommend or pick your PC parts for you. To RGB or not RGB: How it works. Why is just visual eye-candy. Common components to use for RGB. Building the Rig: Pieces, Order and Tools Start building your PC with what you have bought: Tools to have at hand (screwdriver, anti-static wrist strap if you really unsure, patience) The recommended order to do install things. Considerations to have in mind depending type of cases of coolers. Common problems and solutions: cable management, SATA L Connector, Case headers. Why you always connect power last, not first. Testing A full length video talking about: Motherboard LED and POST messages (RTFM). BIOS CPU and RAM configuration. RAM Timings and profiles. Power On but black screen. ATX Power tester. Stress tests tools (Memtest86, HWiNFO, AIDA64, Furmark, etc). Safe temperature of components (VRM, CPU, GPU, failsafe mechanisms). Installing an OS A short video talking about Installing Windows, Ubuntu. Footnote on Hackintosh. BIOS boot order. What is a bootloader and multi-boot different OS. That should be it. The major points can be just lengthy videos that talk about the process, and the other numbers can be relatively short videos (ala techquickie) with useful information about that matter, so it doesn't make the main video interminable. I wouldn't mind if this series of videos where in a custom channel made only for that purpose. Of course, I there is an already existing series like this, post it and close the topic lol. But this is my two cents.

I would like to build my own pc. The primary purpose is graphic designing and gaming along with vedio editing and..... I'm thinking of making animations as well. I want suggestions for buying the cpu and motherboard. I'm not sure but did a little research myself and came up with this - CPU- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Motherboard - MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX Note:The pc is not intended to be used for overclocking and it should handle the above 4 subjects A-OK. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to build a good pc between $900, $1100 (including tax) at most for content creation and something that could handle Adobe After Effects really well. Here's a pc part picker link for what I have so far and any feedback on the compatibility of the parts or if you know of better alternatives. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/lasha.basha/saved/Pwpgt6

I like to make new YT channel. But i dont know one think. How so many Youtubers put soo many contect for so many games without credit any other channel? Do every Youtuber play his own game?

So i'm stuck between upgrading my cpu or gpu for my next pc upgrade. Me and my friends have been streaming and making content the past few months. Happy to say its time to upgrade to give my audience a better experience. Now I stream usually on the weekends and record game play during the weekdays. My current build is i5 4690k w/ Gtx 1050. I plan on upgrading both. Now my dilemma is which one to upgrade first. Which upgrade will effect my streams/recording with a larger impact. Now I do record more than stream. Would a gpu upgrade be better first or a cpu upgrade? I use obs to steam and NVENC to record on obs.

So, I have been looking to buy a 21:9 monitor for productivity (to be able to see more of my timeline while editing amongst other things) but I am facing a dilemma. I found a good monitor the LG 29WK500 (there is also a HDR version, but idk if it's worth it), but I was wondering if there was any way to play BluRays or movies in general (on Netflix for example) at the native 2569x1080 resolution. Do any of you have a way?

I want to know if all channels and/or content providers (I.E. Bitwit and LTT) are included in the 2.99, or is each subscription paid separately?

Hey LMG, I am an active duty military member and I would like to ask you a question, I am close to deploying and I would like to ask if you and your associates would be interested in sending out a monthly flash drive to bring to me and the crew aboard my ship (CVN-70) the joy of your content while we are deployed, I'm not asking for early content, but more so the catalog of content that you have released over the past month, with which I will try to distribute the best I can amongst the crew, I will gladly pay for the cost of the usb required to send your content, this is a way for myself, and the other men and women aboard my ship to stay connected with the outside world via one of our favorite media outlets. I understand that you might miss our request and I am unsure of which way to approach your business for this request, but I hope to hear back from you. -Mrliquidmetal

I am looking for a few individuals with a drive for content creation. A high end gaming/render machine would be needed. I am currently in the works of perfecting 4k uploading of VLOG and gaming content. I have friends who play esport style games with me but I have no one to do co-op series or other content/streaming. Reply for an inquiry I suppose with your pc specs.
