Budget (including currency): $130 Country: Canada My Hp laptop (Probook 445 G8) I just got from eBay has an inferior 250 nit 45% sRGB screen 1080p (hp part no. M47408-001). I want to upgrade the screen with one that is compatible within the service manual. I want the 400 nit 100% sRGB 1080p screen (hp part no. M47409-001) found on page 9 of 90 in the service manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c07012041.pdf Problem is I don’t know the model number that Samsung or LG or AOU or whoever assigned to this screen. The suppliers like laptopscreen.com and blisscomputers.com don’t have product specifications for the screens they carry other than resolution and whether it a 30 or 40 connector. I called them and they have model numbers only and only know if it is compatible. If I order I could get a worse screen than what I have since there are 9 screen variants. They need a model number if I want a screen that performs to my specs. I called HP multiple times and they don’t know and if they did they won’t tell me. They do sell the screen on hp.parts.com for $588 when I know that screen costs $100 elsewhere online. Does anyone have the model number for the the 400 nit 100% sRGB 1080p screen (hp part no. M47409-001)? It can be found on the back of that lcd panel in an HP Probook with that screen.

Hi All. I need your help in taking a decision to upgrade my PC. The current config is ASUS ROG Strix b350-f, Ryzen 1600, R7 260 2GB Graphic card, Crucial 8gb(2400) x 1 DDR4 Ram, Cooler Master 500 Watts. I'm looking to upgrade my processor and graphic card to Ryzen 5 5600G and Radeon RX 6400. Will my motherboard support this new processor? Will there be any performance/compatibility issue? I have checked the Asus site as well and mentions it will support this processor (refer screenshot), but the shop person says mobo will face some performance issue. It's fine for me if the performance loss is less as I'm not going to do any heavy duty task. It's been used mostly for games but occasionally. Please share your opinion on this whether using Ryzen 5 5600G and Radeon RX 6400 in my old ASUS ROG Strix b350-f motherboard won't cause any issue? My budget is very limited not and can't increase it. Thats why I'm opting for them swap. Looking forward for your opinions.

Hi, I want to get a new SSD because my old one keeps filling up with stuff. I was thinking about buying a Samsung 990 Pro or a WD Black SN850X, and I was looking around the Internet to find out whether my motherboard, Z97 MPOWER MAX AC, is compatible or not. I found some posts stating it was compatible and some stating it wouldn't make a difference between a normal SSD and a M.2. I also found an article where someone used a "Lycom DT-120 M.2 SSD to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter Card" to attach a NVMe SSD to his Z97 motherboard. I honestly have no clue what to do. Maybe you could help me understand the differences and decide what I should buy. Thanks in advance!

compatible Wifi a+e key compatibility with e key slots
jaywalkin6000 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hi my brother fried the wifi card in his laptop and he needs a new on to keep him going till we can find the same card so that when he has to potentially return it after his phd is done it looks like nothing was changed. I have a card spare but it is keyed as an m.2 a+e and the slot in his laptop is e key. Will the differences in key matter even though it will still fit in the slot? -
What on god's green (purple) earth is this thing? https://dl10.volafile.org/get/EA5K_hyukJaMR/20210129_172615[1].mp4 You don't have to download the file. Just click on the name and it'll pop up in browser. Is this an alignment issue? Is the tape degraded? Is it some issue dealing with the connection from the composite cables to the converter to HDMI signal (external adapter)? What is this?

So my main computer started having trouble and it seems like it might be the video card so, feeling sure that I had an old video card my dad gave me when he upgraded a bit ago sitting around here that I thought worked, I figured I'd just swap it in to see if that was the problem (considering current pricing of things) only to discover upon digging it out that the card I remembered having is...older than I thought. Old enough that its not on PC Part Picker for me to look up whether its compatible with the motherboard I have. My knowledge of hardware is scant at best and when it comes to this card, which is almost as old as me, basically nonexistent, so, slightly odd/possibly dumb question but is it even worth trying to plug in a Matrox Millennium II from around 1997 to my Asus Z97-A motherboard to see if the issue was the video card or should I give in and take it to a shop where they likely have newer cards or something they can test with. I'm not even sure the card will plug in physically because its so much smaller than the current card in there. I haven't actually tried slotting it in because I noticed the massive size and age difference between my card and the old card I had laying around as soon as I found it in my old computer bits cabinet so I haven't bothered with the always hard to unfasten thumbscrews my video card is held in by. TLDR: Will a Matrox Millenium II video card plug into an ASUS Z97-A motherboard at all? Will it run in any fashion at all, sufficient to seeing if my (much) newer video card is the problem?

Hi, Recently I was planning to upgrade storage of my Hp Pavillion (dav 510) desktop and purchased a 2 TB Samsung QVO 870 V-NAND SSD. But after attaching the drive the hp logo comes up and the bios screen freezed with CPU and memory information of the drive. I've tried a smaller ssd from a different brand and it works perfectly fine. Is this a compatibility issue or am I doing something wrong? Talked with HP support they suggested updating BIOS and changing some of the BIOS settings but nothing worked and then they said users are not supposed to upgrade the PC.

i'm planning to buy a new graphics card but realised that my motherboard does not have PCIe gen 4 but does have gen 3 (x16). I do not know how mixing different slots and connectors will affect performance and compatibility mobo: Gigabyte GA-AB350 gaming 3 This is what 2 of the cards I'm thinking about getting have: RX 6600 XT PCI Express 4.0 x8 RX 6700 XT PCI Express 4.0 x16 Correct me if I'm wrong but is x8 cards compatible with x16 slots? Pretty sure that should be the case..

Budget (including currency): ~750€ (including monitor, mouse and keyboard this goes up to 900€) Country: Lithuania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: general gaming, game development (Unity) Other details: I currently have these parts picked and is everything compatible? Hi, I have no experience building pc's, especially not during a crazy shortage and absence prices. I am assembling a gaming/work pc for cousin. I've decided to go with this build : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KykkkX (Not really looking for a gpu upgrade atm (maybe except for a 2060), but comments/tips as for anything else are more than welcome). The case I'll be getting is an Antec Nx210 ( which for some reason doesn't exist on pc part picker). Besides those parts they also have an hdd (500 GB, don't know what brand, model, etc). I decided to use the Transcend ssd for the OS and use the sata3 2.5 WD blue for his games/programs but since they don't offer much storage I was wandering whether will my motherboard decision back fire at me or not - would I be able to add another ssd m.2 if need be? I saw on the motherboards website they mentioned something about the sata's becoming disabled if 2 M.2 are being used. Am I misunderstanding something? thanks in advance, Any help is appreciated.

Hey guys, I am planning on overhauling my system to the new am5 socket when the 7800x3d comes out. I’ve been looking around for motherboards that can support it but the only problem is that I have an NZXT case so the front io connecter is fixed and unchangeable. I’ve looked around for maybe some charts or something with compatibility info but I haven’t found anything. Ive been looking at mid range boards like the Rog strix b650e-f gaming wifi and the Gigabyte b650 aorus elite ax. I’ve resorted to looking at each boards specific manual to see if they might be compatible but it doesn’t look like it. Or at least I don’t think so. I don’t know as much about motherboards so any solutions here would be welcomed. Should I be looking at different motherboards, is there some kind of adapter cable I can use (nzxt doesn’t seem to have one), or is there some other solution I don’t know about? Thanks guys.
