i7-9750H 0CNDTP-A01 Dell motherboard Please forgive me if I’m just stupid. but i want to get the most out of my laptop upgrade and not make it struggle. Looking to upgrade to 16x2 32GB I’m a little confused about the clock speeds! my current ram is 2667mhz CL19 (16gb/8x2) if i wanted to buy ram at: 3200mhz CL 22 2933mhz CL19 2666mhz CL18 which would work best with my laptop? I was looking at Corsair Vengeance but I would consider crucial or if you have a better alternative, I would happily consider it. I think my laptop isn’t even capable of running 3200, I’ve looked online but I can’t find how to check. Dell, Crucial, Kingston, Corsair Compatibility check with my laptop all offer all of the above. I really would like to get the most out of it. I think Corsair Vengeance would be best and give the biggest improvement, but maybe I should just stick to basics and go for Crucial 16GBx2 2666mhz CL19? (Difficult to find quite expensive in the UK) Corsair Vengeance a lot cheaper and easier to find in the UK. Does the Clock Latency effect my laptop performance can I put any of the above? I understand the lower the CL the faster it is. But then CL22 3200mhz is supposed to be better and its just confusing me. It gets worse... some of you will laugh, but the more I look into it the more confused I am, Ranks !?!? my laptop is apparently currently using 1Rx8, but according to dell website I can upgrade to 2Rx8. now I’m not really that stupid and of course there is google to make it more confusing the more you read about it. As it’s a laptop 1Rx8 is faster and cooler? am I wrong in saying this? Now extra dilemma for me, only "Official Dell" ram says if its 1Rx8 or 2Rx8, Crucial I read reviews where people wanted 2Rx8 and got 1Rx8 and are furious and some ordered a pair and got 1 that’s 1Rx8 and the other 2Rx8 would that have any impact. So I’m just getting a headache so I decided to write here hoping for someone to dumb it down and simplify it for me. or just point and say buy this one. Il write a bit more I hope it’s not annoying to read all this. i understand if I get 3200 it will automatically clock down to 2667 or 2666 whatever or maybe 2933 if I’m lucky. Theoretically i have it all figured out and I’m stuck between Corsair Vengeance: 2666mhz CL18 (if the CL18 wont mess up everything) or the 2933 CL19 if my system will support the 2933 and will give me better performance. (There is even 3000mhz at 18CL which is confusing me even more but let’s ignore that one.) 3200mhz CL22 would be fastest and cheapest option for me. but will it reduce my performance? I just double checked while writing this, and actually the Corsair website "compatibility thing" doesn’t recommend anything 32GB and I can definitely use 32 GB even dell wants to sell my 32GB at a ridiculous price but I definitely dont want to slow my PC down with 32GB ram. I basically want to increase the speed of my pc for gaming and just overall faster performance. If i was to go with Crucial and stay basic it would be just 2666 CL19, but Corsair offer 2666 at CL18. so thats a whole milisecond faster, but will it work fine ? At this point im considering to even wait a few years and get a new laptop im totally baffled. Also can anyone explain an unrelated issue. i have 16GB of ram that shows everywhere in task manager i have 8.1 GB inuse ( compressed ) 7.6GB available commited 16.7/30 cached 6.1GB and only web browser with 3 tabs open. using 3GB in processes. What is using the 8.2 GB ? if you cant already tell iv never opened "bios" Look forward to any suggestions, info, advice

(obviously, i know i l need to update the BIOS, but will it work fine and without compatibility issues?) Also, any suggestions for new PC case?

I bought a RM750x about 3 years ago, now I'd like to get white cables for it. It seems from what I've read that the RM750x is compatible with Corsairs Type 4 cables but since my PSU is a couple of years old I thought I'd double check. Do you guys think my RM750x will work fine with the Type 4 cables?

Hi there, Today i saw Fifa 2003 for a very cheap price so i decided to buy it. However it isn't working on my windows 10 pc, even with compatibility settings changed and stuff. It installed perfectly fine but when i launch it, nothing happens. I've tried compatibility settings and admin privileges and none of that has helped. Is there any possible solution to fix this issue and allow me to play Fifa 2003 on my windows 10 pc? Thanks, Dylan

- Hello everyone, in the future I should upgrade the Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 7 5800x3d but I'm having doubts if my board currently holds up in terms of VRM the processor. MSI B450 VDH PRO MAX, It's a board that I still intend to use, I wasn't really looking to buy another board, if that's the case I'd buy a new generation Ryzen 7000, which would be much more expensive.. Edit: I was discussing with friends about this, I just want to know if the board can handle the processor just for a while. I said up there that I had no intention of buying a board because I want to use it for a while longer, so if the processor holds up I'll take advantage of the board I have until I buy a new one and rams indicated for the processor. I'm with 3000mhz cl16 rams and I've seen that 3600mhz cl16 are quite cheap.

So I have the "opportunity" to get a couple of HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF PCs for basically nothing, and I'm wondering what the best way to go about upgrading them for maximum memage would be. I have limited practical experience building PCs, though its something I've wanted to do for a while and I figured this could be fun(ny). Hi guys I have a problem with my new pc, i have the latest bios for my motherboard which is f50 (from f40 it supports ryzen 3rd gen) and it won,t boot not even post but all the fans are starting, i tried swaping in a ryzen 7 1700x in and it started which means all the cables are connected and nothing else is defective, i tried each component on other PCs and they all worked so i dont really know where the problem is Maybe i ve got a broken cpu? The box in which the motherboard came has written on it ryzen 3000 ready I tried other gpus and other ram kits and none work, i tried resiting the cpu in the socket, i tried other psu When i turn on the pc with the ryzen 7 1700x, my motherboard leds turn on but when i start it up with the ryzen 5 3600 none are lighting up I have the following parts Ryzen 5 3600 Gigabyte b450i aorus pro wifi Hyperx predator 2x8gb ddr4 3200mhz HX432C16PB3/8 this is the memory's code in case you might need it , i searched it on the gigabyte site memory support list and found it there so it should support the memory Gtx 1080 ti

I'm finally upgrading my AMD FX 8350 series system to Ryzen 3rd gen, here are the parts I ordered Asus Prime X570 Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 3700x CPU, 32Gb G.Skill Trident Z NEO 2x16 3600Mhz Ram, Seagate FireCuda 510 M.2 2280 1TB PCIe G3 x4,gen 4 NVMe SSD, XFX RX 5700 XT Thicc III Ultra 8Gb video card, I'm re using my Thermaltake ToughPower 850 Watt PSU from 2013, and my full tower Case NZXT Phantom Black My question is will the combination of these components allow me to game at 1080p and eventually at 1440p ultra settings on COD Warzone and Multiplayer and BFV? My current system has two XFX Radeon HD7850 Double D 2Gb video cards in Crossfire x and I barely get 60 fps in medium to low settings with random freezes I also have 16gb of DDR3 1866Mhz ram 4x4Gb dual channel which is ancient by today's standards... I am eventually going to get a 360 rad triple fan AIO cooler for the CPU just can't afford one now... Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance...

Hi everyone Recently I bought a computer by pieces for my parents, and i had some RAM compatibility issues due to not looking for the supported memory list from the motherboard's manufacturer. Before all this stupid messed up i was making a wishlist of components for my next computer. I wanted to use an i7-7700, G.Skill Trident Z RGB (p/n F4-2400C15D-16GTZR) and i wanted to use the MSI B250 gaming pro carbon. After seeing the problems that not paying attention to the documentation can give, i looked for the mobo memory compatibilty list, where this RAM didn't appear. Then, i looked for G.skill's compatibility list, so i decided to use another MSI motherboard, the Z270 SLI plus, which was on the RAM's compatibility list. To make sure I don't hypothetically waste my money, i went again to MSI's website, to the motherboard specs, and it wasn't mentioned there either. Shall I trust the RAM compatibility list or the motherboard's? First of all this is my rig : MB : Asus P7H55M-PROCPU: Intel i3-540 HDD : WD Caviar Black 500 GbGPU: Nvidia GTX 650 1 Gb OC editionOS: Windows 7 x64Current RAM : Silicon Power - sp004gbltu133v02 4gb DDR3 1333 Mhz Now my problem is this . I bought a new stick of ram ( Kingmax flff65f-d8kq9 4Gb DDR3 1333 Mhz CL9 ) and i can`t make it to work with the one I allready have . Actually I can`t make it work at all with my motherboard . If I put it along with the one I have , it just freezes in boot screen , unless i put the old one in the first slot and the new one in the second , then it just restarts when windows tries to load . If i I put the new one alone i get random BSOD`s whatever i do . Now , the differences I noticed between the two sticks are that one is double sided 256mx8 16 chips while the other one is single sided 256mx8 8 chips (kingmax) , and i noticed some differences in bios when it comes to timing . Another difference is the REF cycle time ( new one has 200 while the old one has 108) and the timing mode (old one has 1N , new one has 2N ) . Is there anything I can do to make them work together even at a lower frequency ? I don`t want to mess with the timings without knowing what i`m doing . The ram is tested on another pc with memtest86 and it has no error and work fine . If there`s any information you need i`ll probably watch this topic every 5 seconds as i`m trying to do this for almost 2 days . Oh and by the way , the ram is used , i can`t return it and i have no money to buy another stick or kit , because i`m unemployed at the moment. Thank you .

Been measuring up my PC and looking at buying a RX 480 from MSI. Only issue is, it looks as if the SATA ports are in the way of the graphics card. I'm just not sure enough if the GPU and SATA ports will collide. Thanks in advance

Hello, I am planning out a build and I am looking at the INWIN 303C case. I am Looking at the ASUS z370 f-gaming mobo and a set of Corsair LL 120mm fans I am wondering if anyone can tell me if the fans will touch the bottom of the mobo and not allow me to put 3 fans along the bottom? Gamers nexus made a video and said this was an issue in some cases but i am unable to determine if the mobo will prevent me from using 3 corsair LL fans along the bottom.
