Hi guys. I’m planning on building my own pc but am a bit confused about if the the MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK motherboard will work with Corsair Vengeance RGB 32gb Ram at 6000MHz. The manual says it will run 1DPC 2R at max 6600MHz. What does 1DPC 2R mean and is it referring to x2 16gb ram?

steam deck Windows on steam deck june 2023
Timspector posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Looking to see how progress on using windows has been going? Is it fully functional yet or are there still lots of bugs? I have not been able to find much info on this that's more than 6 months to a year old. Just got my deck today and would much rather use windows. -
I need help brothers! Just gave my daily driver a face lift( experience building PCs since GFX5700 days, earlier 2000ish). Kept this facelift decently modest but PC is running unreliable and I'm wondering if I overlooked something (such as compatibility, driver conflicts, bottle necking, or maybe some tweaks). I have a second PC also recently built that doesn't have these issues running similar tasks. Problem PC specs: I7 10700k 3.8GHz(boost 4.7GHz)- CPU burner test results shows solid 56*C @137w with Corsair H150i 360mm AIO after 100%/30min. MSI MPG Gaming Z490- I suspect this could be the issue as I had problems with storage drives not performing well/ or flat out not working. 1TB 870 EV0(SATA), 1TB P1000 (m.2), 2TB 970 (m.2). Z490 chipset struggled a bit before and after latest BIOS update. Corsair vengeance 32GB 3200Mhz cl16- memory seems good using XMP 1 thru bios Gigabyte 4070ti Master GPU- update with latest drivers, attempted OC with afterburner and experience crashes with basic +150-250Mhz clock boost or major image distortion Thermaltake 850w toughpower PSU (Gold+) example issues: stutters in fps game with low settings (APEX legends, COD etc) Crashes to desktop, sometimes Win10 reboots when running Fallout4 on Ultra after changing to a different game, Pc has to be rebooted or the next app will run poorly Opera web browser freezes with 5-6tabs app with no other background apps running. (chrome runs poorly also) youtube videos stutter, audio cuts out on 1440p display. games always have major FPS spikes from 144fps to 80fps. *internet is wired with varies speed test showing 900+ down with minimal loss and jitters* Country: Canada o7

Hey so before I dump almost 2k on a new pc I wanted to let you tech-wizards check it before I mess something up. so here are my parts, nothing is ordered yet: GPU: Gigabyte rtx 3070ti "Vision" Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690 UD CPU: I5-12600k (maybe will go for the 12600kf if its availiable, which it isn't right now where I live.) Drive: Seagate FireCuda 530 1tb (m.2 go brrrrrrrrrrrr) PSU: Bitfenix whisper m80 plus gold (cheapest 850watt psu with gold efficiency where I live) Memory 32 gb of G.skill RipJaws V DDR4 (3200MHz, latencies are 16-18-18-38) (also the 32gb are more than necessary because I will use this pc mostly for dcs world where 32 gb is the bare minimum for most missions) Case: Silverstone Fara R1 with all 6 Fan slots filled (worried about GPU size, GPU is 320mm, case supports 322mm, but if it doesnt fit I will cut out a piece of the front fan bracket which isnt a big deal since the case doesnt have a glas side panel) CPU cooler: Noctua NH-U12S for that freezy breezy noctua action hehe OS: Win11 does it look alright? also does the Motherboard give off enough power to daisy-chain 3 fans off of each fan header? Thank you cuties :3

I've just gotten my new system up and running and now I want to set up all my RGB, as ya do. The thing is, I have Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM and an MSI motherboard (B550 Gaming Plus)... I installed MSI Center first and got everything configured, but couldn't find any way to interface with the RAM about 2 or 3 hours later, after downloading iCue and going through several tutorials and other videos, I come to find that the one way that seemed to work reliably (enabling full software control and open SDK in iCue) is no longer available, as iCue has updated or something since then and the options are unavailable. Am I just SOL on this, or is it still possible to get everything to work together? I wouldn't mind having both iCue and Mystic Light, but I would prefer to just have a singular software. I don't really know what I'm doing with software, this is my first build, so I've just kinda fumbled my way through to this point Any help would be greatly appreciated

compatabilty Is the NZXT G12 compatible with the RX 6800 XT?
TrashBin94 posted a topic in Graphics Cards
As stated in the Title my question Is, " is the NZXT G12 compatible with the RX 6800 XT"? The only reference I have found is a video from Graphically Challenged that stated he needed new screws and to drill the G12 but gave no other information or examples on how to properly complete this task. Does anyone have any experience with the G12 and RX 6800 XT? Graphically Challenged G12 and RX 6800 XT reference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qx1AS0Rnrq0 -
After researching, I am unable to make a decision for sure on whether or not the Asus ROG Strix B550-A Gaming will be compatible with my new Corsair iCUE 4000x case. If anyone knows about any issues these two may have, please tell me.

Hello! I have a Gigabyte Aero 15 Oled and I broke my screen (model: ATNA56WR14-0). In my country there are no thecnical assistence that want to do the replacement. By the model of the screen, I think that my laptop have a 40-Pin eDP QHD+ connector. Since I don't need such a high resolution, I started looking for more affordable ones, like the B156HAN08.0, witch have a higher framerate and lower resolution. I saw the datasheet of this model and found out that this have a 40-Pin eDP Touch connector. My question is: Can I plug a 40-Pin eDP Touch screen to a 40-Pin eDP QHD+ laptop without burning the laptop? Do I need to cut the last 10 wires? Or should I use a 30-Pin eDP screen plugged into an adapter like the one that is in the image? Sorry about my english PS: I saw this connector names here: https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/section/Articles/1245191276/Screen+connector/

Hello everyone, I’ve been looking to upgrade the RAM in my PC. It’s a Dell Vostro 3670, and has two memory slots. It currently has one 16g stick in it, and I’m planning on upgrading to a 2x8 set. However, I’m unsure as to what RAM would be the best for my situation, as I assume that an older motherboard like this can only handle a certain amount of mhz, and I don’t want to spend extra for an expensive set that won’t have it’s full power utilized. If anyone has any advice please let me know.

Hello everyone, I’ve been trying to get this website to work properly on safari: https://api.battlefront.dice.se It won’t let you log in unless you switch to desktop mode, which is easy enough, but even then it does not seem to be communicating with the game properly because the “credits” you earn while playing it do not transfer to the actual PC/Console game. It will however, accurately display your friends list. The reason that I’m asking is because my friend has a 4th generation iPad and to this day it works fully as intended for him. I use an iPhone XS Max and was wondering why it would work for him and not me, and if there’s a way I can fix it. Thanks in advance!

Hello Everyone !! So, recently i scavenged some parts in order to build an entry level gaming PC. Specs are as follows: Motherboard: asus prime a320m-k CPU: amd athlon 3000g Ram: sinlge channel Crossair 8gb ddr4 Power supply: 500W The problem i am having is: I have a gigabyte gtx 460 that i am trying to install in the above mentioned system but it is not being detected. The fans are spinning and there doesn't seem to be an issue with power supply. Troubleshooting i have done: I installed the same GPU in another system *i5-4790 gigabyte motherboard* and it works perfectly fine. ............................................... I installed another GPU rx 480 in the system meaning the AMD system and that also is detected and works fine. ............................................... I swapped power supplies to see if that makes any difference, but still to no avail. ............................................... I tried to disable on board graphics from bios. but it does not do anything. .............................................. From different forums it was recommended to go into the bios and under onboard device settings, enable an option. Nothing is working and i am frustrated as to why. when there shouldn't be any issues. Any help would be appreciated. Regards,

Hey..! I recently start a quest to water cool my rig (man it can be over whelming for someone new..!! ) along with my Zotac Gtx 1080ti Blower Edition ( Rev.B ) Where I am, there isn’t a lot of availability for water cooling parts, so I settled to get my requirements from Ali-express. But after I started researching for the parts I came across this thread on reddit Basically mine is a Rev.B card and thus is a custom PCB rather than a reference one. (The capacitors are aligned for me whereas in the reference cards it isn't. ) Now, I have been trying to find a suitable water block for my card and still haven’t come across anything that would fit. Even EKWB has a clear warning saying only Rev.A in their compatibility list. Please help me with this. What are my options ? Is there a water block specifically for this card ? ( P.S : No I don’t want to use the NZXT Kraken G12 )

Hi i have a really slow and cheap PC (core i3-7100 GTX 750 ti (short one) 8gb RAM). Lately and my graphics card started acting up, when in games like Warframe and Rainbow 6 seige i set my video settings to anything higher then low my frames stay pretty reasonable but after 20-30 sec the sceen freezes, audio stutters and my whole PC reboots, it happens every time. I want to buy a faster graphics card but i don't know whitch one because i'm afraid it'll get bottlenecked by my CPU. What can you suggest?
