Budget (including currency): 1500(USD) Country: Romania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Any game Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Motherboard: GIGABYTE B365M DS3H CPU: Intel Core™ i7-9700K 12M Cache, up to 4.90 GHz GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Dual 8GB GDDR6 256-bit SSD: Crucial BX500 240GB SATA-III 2.5 inch HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 RAM: HyperX Predator RGB 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 PSU: Corsair CV650, 80+ Bronze, 650W CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper H410R RGB Case: AQIRYS Arcturus ARGB ---------------------------------------------- I decided that I need an upgrade, because I havent upgraded my PC since 2016. These are the parts I decided to get but I have some questions and thought maybe you guys could help me out. My main concern is the RAM-CPU compability. I read on Intels site that the CPU only supports 2666 MHz RAM. The RAM I got is 3200 MHz. Is the RAM automatically gonna set itself to 2666 or should I go for a 2666 MHz RAM stick? The other questions I have are reliability related. Mainly the SSD and the GPU. I wonder if the SSD is on par with the others in its price range. I mean for the price I could get a lower capacity one from a better brand but with similar enough speeds. The other question I have is about the reliability of the GPU. I did some homework on it and it seems Palit, the GPU manufacturer doesnt seem that bad, but then again I dont know much about it either so let me know if its okay or not. The other weak point in this build is my HDD. I have it since my first built PC, 2016, and I know its crap but I dont really care much, because I am surely going to move Steam, Discord, Windows and what not on the SSD so they boot up faster. It really doesnt bother me at all. So thats it, I look forward to hearing your suggestions and any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Recently I bought an AMD Ryzen 2600, ASUS Prime B450-PLUS mobo and CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200MHz DDR4 ram. I'm waiting for a package, and I have a question. Does this Ryzen cpu will support 3200MHz memory? I chcecked motherboard QVL and found these RAM sticks as supported but for 3rd gen ryzen. And also will i need to update BIOS to the latest version? Thanks for helpful answers

Hi everyone. So I'm looking to finally water cool my PC setup and I'm considering a Corsair and Ek combo loop. However, I have one major question I cannot seem to find the answer to. Corsair's loop building system helped me get all compatible parts on their end but I cannot get a response from Ek support on if their new EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT 360 D5 PWM D-RGB - Plexi will work with the Corsair parts. RAD Link: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Custom-Cooling/Radiators/hydro-x-xr7-config/p/CX-9030005-WW CPU Block Link: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Custom-Cooling/Blocks/CPU-Blocks/Hydro-X-Series-XC7-RGB-CPU-Water-Block-%28115X-AM4%29/p/CX-9010004-WW EK Link: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-quantum-kinetic-flt-360-d5-pwm-d-rgb-plexi Now after a lot of research I am seeing no compatibility issues here but I wanted to make sure these would all work correctly and I am not missing anything before I place my orders. My main concern I cannot figure out is the pump that EK has the following in its specs: " Pump electrical and mechanical properties: - Motor: Electronically commuted spherical motor - Rated voltage: 12V DC - Power consumption: 23W - Maximum pressure head: 3.9m - Maximum flow: 1500L/h - Maximum system temperature: 60°C - Materials: Stainless steel, PPS-GF40, EPDM O-rings, Aluminium oxide, hard coal - Power connector: 4-Pin Molex- and 4-Pin PWM FAN connector " The Aluminium oxide part has me worried as I know aluminium shouldn't be in with copper, yet I cannot figure out if this is describing the exterior of the pump or if it's a part of the inside. Would someone with more knowledge than me please confirm I am correct in assuming these parts will work together? Thank you in advance!

Hello forum, So im thinking of buying a controller along my pc and i have decided to getting the Xbox One controller (white version) while i was browsing my countries eshop i stumbled upon a "Microsoft Xbox One New Controller" and was told by my friends that it is the same thing as the Xbox One S controller. My question is weather this controller is compatible with a PC because even though the site says it is compatible with xbox one, pc and tablets running Windows 10, some friends told me that it may mean that the controller can only charge on the pc and not be able to play on it. PS. I would also like to make sure that the "New controller" is the same thing as the "S controller" Here is the link to the controller and sorry if you dont understand anything you are not obliged to waste your time trying to figure what it says http://www.public.gr/product/microsoft-xbox-one-new-controller-heiristirio-leyko/prod8220695pp/ Oh, and sorry if this is the wrong place to post this

For many NVIDIA GPUs there is a complete watercooling solution from EK FLUID. This one: https://www.ekfluidgaming.com/ek-kit-a240g Is there something for AMD aswell? I'm searching for a watercooling solution like the A240G but for the MSI R9 390 Gaming 8G. Thanks for your answers!

Hi guys, long time Linus fan. 1st time poster (unless you count the Razor laptop competition). So I have an Corsair AX1200 power supply which was overkill for my old build (got it for a very good price). I have a new build (pcparkpicker link ) and wasn't sure if I could reuse it since it wasn't on the QVL list and I don't want to burn my new PC. Does anyone know if it is compatible and if there are any issues with its use in the new build? Also if it is reusable can anyone point me to some compatible white sleeved cables (type 1 which are hard to find) that can be purchased in Australia. Thanks in advance.

Hello! I have a question about compatibility: I am planning to buy a new pc, I chose SilentiumPC RG4T case and RX 5700 Gaming OC graphic card from Gigabyte. The problem I am worried about is that the maximum gpu length that can go into that case(380mm) is same as the size of that graphic card and I think there might be a chance that gpu won't fit into that case... Is this true or it is just me going crazy about it?

Hello all, Today I ordered new Asus Prime X570-Pro and Ryzen 9 3900x (upgrading from i7-7700k/AsusPrimeZ270) and just now i'm seeing that there is not 8 Pin CPU connection but with additional 4 pin. So my question's is do I need an additional 4 pin connector and if yes what would be that additional 4 pin connector for and does I need to look for additional cable, because my Corsair RM850x dont have such cable... thanks for all help guys!

I got a Deal for Acer Predator XB270HU for Half the price but I wondering if it would benefit me as I'm gonna use AMD RX 5700 (Flash with RX 5700 XT Bios). I know that this monitor has G-Sync but is there any difference if i use G-sync or Free-sync with AMD graphic Card?

I can see that ryzen 5 1600 uses AM4 motherboards. But where I can know that which one of AM4 motherboards it supports, A320, B350, X370 or X470? And what does those numbers even mean by the way? Are A320, B350, X370 and X470 those things called sockets?

Hi! I have seen that AMD released the 2200G and the 2400G CPUs which seems great for the price ($99 for the 2200G which I think it's like the 1300X) and I have been thinking if the I should get the 2200G. I have right now the 1300X and seems to OC great with a 0.025V bump at 3.8Ghz with and cool'n quiet on (No issues). Now, I built this PC not so long ago, and I have been wanting to return the 1300X in perfect condition to Amazon and the the 2200G and get a "$20 refund" ( Since I bought the 1300X at 119.99 I think) Why I am looking at the 2200G? It has an APU, if my GPU fails (7850, Bought used 2 years ago, which was used for gaming seller said) which might happen, I have a backup and not stay without a GPU. Also the new BIOS on the board website says -Update AGESA Code 1.1.0.1 to support Raven Ridge CPUs. Does this mean new support for the AMD APU's right? My board is a MSi B350M PRO-VH Plus. I only have 3 hours to decide, thanks in advance for suggestions.

N4vySc4n posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hello! I have been planning new AMD computer for low and medium-end gaming. League of legends and that sort of stuff. So it's not gonna be the gaming rig 2016 but needed to handle some gaming. Due this is my first AMD build, i have been wondering if my components are compatible with each other. My components are going to be: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H FM2+ or Asus A88XM-A FM2+ AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz (maybe going to do some OC'ing for 4,0-4,5GHz) AMD Radeon HD 5770 1GB PCI-E x16 (i know it's gonna be bottleneck but im gonna upgrade that later to Radeon R9 380 or something like that) Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) HyperX Fury DDR3 1866MHz Corsair 650W VS650 Maxtor HDD 200GB 7200rpm Case is still mystery, something like BitFenix Comrade or Nova So, im asking if motherboard, cpu and gpu are compatible together. Im gonna use DVI-I > VGA adapter due the lack of DVI or HDMI monitor Thanks for help already! -
I was wondering if anyone knows if Ubuntu 14/Zorin OS 9 is supported with the New skylake processors (specifically the i3-6100U) and the new Intel HD 520 integrated graphics yet? I can't find any reviews regarding the HD 520. All I find is reviews saying that HD 530 is not yet supported. Yet there are "benchmark sites" benchmarking the HD520 in Ubuntu, but no texts or anything (frankly speaking, those websites look non-serious). So has anyone here managed to run Ubuntu/Zorin OS 9 on i3-6100U with HD 520 GPU?

Hi, I'm planning on buying a 16GB kit (8GB x 2) of DDR3-1600MHz ram to add to my current 8GB (4GB x 2), but I've read things online that have conflicting viewpoints on mixing ram capacities. Can someone tell me if it will work? They're both Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 CL9 kits.
