I have two AOC Q3279VWFD8 (who comes up with the names of those?) monitors and for a while, the main one i used, is slightly darker, and warmer in color. Today it started flickering. It's less noticable when i put it on 75Hz refresh rate, but if you stare at it directly it's noticable. I moved the flickering monitor to my right hand side, it's now a secondary monitor. The color difference is quite noticable, if i put a window between them, one displays whites as white, the other (i guess bad one) is yellow-ish. They have the same settings. I tried plugging it in the other ports on the GPU, same thing, tried different type of port - DP>HDMI, same thing, tried another cable, same thing... It's the monitor, right? There's something wrong with it directly? Backlight maybe? Or something? The now main one works great still, so i don't have to look at the flicker at least. They're old and were cheap so it was bound to happen i guess. Is there anything easy to do to prevent it from going bad further, or if not, i'll milk it for as long as i can i guess. I'm not looking to spend too much to fix it.

The colours on my monitor (Samsung 43" M7) look so much better and natural when connected to my Macbook Air via USB C than when I'm connecting to my desktop. A note is that I'm connecting to my desktop to my r9 290x GPU via a display port to HDMI adapter. So the HDMI is connected to the monitor and the DP adapter is on the GPU. Any thoughts on what's causing this difference in colour? The GPU? DP-HDMI Adapter? Cable? Basically the monitor looks too saturated and too much contrast with my desktop

I’m currently looking into changing the color profile of our Linux machines and want to change it system-wide AND apply to new profiles by default. We’re using CentOS 7 or Rocky Linux 9 (accessible via Teradici) + GNOME desktop, and by default, it applies “Automatic - Linux XGA”. The calibration curves it provides appear to be wonky as a result. Current: Preferred: According to my coworker, who provided a side-by-side between what is outputted from Teradici vs what he sees from his PC: I tried to forcefully delete the color .icc profile from the home profile, but it keeps regenerating the same profile, and I tried to set a default profile via /etc, but no dice Any way for me to do this with Ansible or via Bash script?

On one of my HDR monitors, the color is dimmer than the other, (its easier to see in the title bar of the photo viewer I have on in the video) UNTIL I launch a game with freesync enabled, then that monitor gets brighter and stays that way, even after closing the game. if freesync is DISABLED then it DOESN'T get brighter. When it is brighter it seems to match the OTHER HDR monitor. This implies to me that HDR isn't fully 'on' until I launch a game with freesync enabled. I'd like it to be in the brighter mode all the time, to match the other HDR monitor, but I'm not sure what is going on. Right Monitor: Samsung LS28AG700N Left Monitor: Acer VG281K GC: 6800 XT All driver's updated.

I really enjoy Linus' enthusiasm for the store, and I don't mind that it dominates the WAN Show runtime. But it really bothers me there are constantly so many little things that make the store seem like an afterthought. I was checking out the Noctua Edition screwdriver and I couldn't help notice that the Brown color option... is in no way brown. Being an insane person, I took a screenshot of the webpage and used Photoshop's eyedropper tool to double check if my eyes were playing tricks on me. Just a pointless rant. I randomly remembered Linus being bothered by the color of the orange JerryRig Razor knife in the store photos and then this really stuck out to me.

Change the colors of RGB Fusion intelligent mode
DSD27 posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I'm using RGB Fusion 2.0, for GPU only. The intelligent mode is set to Green - Yellow - Red. But we can't change the colors... I would like to change it to White - Orange - Red or something. Is there any text file we can edit? -

I have a budget monitor, Full HD IPS 75hz 24 inch, but whenever i set my monitor to 75hz, i can notice some faint vertical lines over some colors on-screen, for instance light blue and other tons of yellow and orange (even though they can`t be noticed as much as blue). This only improves if i set my Hz to 50 or 60, and the lines seem to fade a lot and almost disappear, but it's really noticeable on 75hz. What are these supposed to be and how to get rid of it? My graphics card is Nvidia and Monitor is only freesync compatible due to only having HDMI port, is there something to do with it? is there a program or a way to fix, of course i can just sit farther from the monitor itself and you can't notice it at all at a distance. Thanks in advance.

I'm a tech professional with a penchant for travel and I've been considering putting together a kit that would enable me to throw an entire workstation in a pelican case and work from remote locations. Downsizing my PC is easy with modern SFF stuff, peripherals are small, but from what I've seen portable monitors still seem to suck. For a user like me for whom "portable" really only has to mean "I can put two in a case and take them on a plane" $300 for a decent 15" portable monitor seems steep. Have any of you tried taking a smaller desktop monitor like the LG 22MK430H, rehousing the panel, adding a protective flap and a travel stand? Anybody have experience with something similar?

Hello everyone, This is a tutorial on how to get colors right on Dell XPS series from this year, might apply to older models with Intel Command Center.. Windows 20H2 and Dell Premier Color don't work well together. Intel GPU driver and Dell's proprietary fight eachother. Some people say it's the Dell Premier Color bugging out the Intel software, some the other way around.. This has been a know bug for years, usually getting better or worse depending on what Windows version you're running (and drivers), but it seems like it's been really bad in the past couple months, since many people have been posting on forums, struggling to get rid of just the most rubbish banding you've ever seen, worse on the eyes than cheap IPS panel backlight bleed. Possible solutions, that don't work in most cases: 1. Close Dell Premier Color Result: no improvement 2. Close Dell Premier Color, then open Intel Command Center < Display < Color < Restore to original Color Result: In many cases, black screen that doesn't recover. It can be reenabled if you plug in an external monitor (or forcefully restart the system) and reopen DPC (dell premier colour) - but the issue persists. 3. Delete DPC, then Restore to original color Result: Black screen, need to reinstall DPC or force restart Solution that WORKED for me, after all others failed 1. Delete DPC 2. Delete Intel Command Center 3. Install DDU (display driver uninstaller), extract and open with administrator, uninstall Intel GPU driver - If you don't know how to use DDU, there are some tutorials on Youtube that will explain it better than me. But this is the options you should select. And then click "clean and restart" 4. Display driver will uninstall, the screen will go ape sh*t and all audio will die. The system will then restart. Don't let it scare you, everything is fine. 5. Once you log back in, go to windows update and check for updates. Windows will automatically download the media drivers and the display driver for you, after which you will restart the system again, if prompted. 6. Install Intel Command Center from Microsoft Store. It won't look the same as the one you had before, but that's okay, it's the same thing. Once it's installed, open it and check that all your System < Power related settings are the way you left them, with "panel self refresh" turned off and alike.. Congrats. It should be all good now. I hope this helps Cheers

Hey, So I yesterday bought this monitor: LG 27GN750 It's a IPS panel 240Hz and it works amazing. The only problem is that I am not able to make the colors look great. I usually play CS:GO and had BenQ XL2411P earlier. The colors on this IPS looks shit if I compare to my settings on a TN panel. I really need some help setting up the colors. If anyone has solution to this, please recommend. Also, you can see this monitor color looks so good in this video by Linus however looks shit on mine.

Hello Everyone, New to these forums, I was wondering what you guys, think about Color Temperature in Gaming ( Playstation, Xbox, Pc) Particulary on a TV (Oled in my case) Every expert in youtube Recommends Warm 2 or Warm 50 And I just find it sliglty off, more yellow than its supposed to be. By default the LG C2 is in Neutral Color temperature at 0, but people recommend going all the way to warm 50. Just curious if LMG talked about this and also what is your preference. Thanks!

I have a wide gamut 120% sRGB VA monitor, its driver comes with a wide gamut ICC profile that clamps the colors to sRGB in color managed applications. That makes sense. But I noticed that the same thing happens on another PC with my 98% sRGB IPS monitor, the difference from color managed applications to the desktop environment is much tinier than in the 120% sRGB monitor, but it exists, the color managed colors are slightly undersaturated. What is the explanation? How does an 98% sRGB monitor need this?

Hi guys, I'm just noticing this as of today, I have a blue hue on my 49 inch TV screen and not sure where it's coming from. I've tried changing a bunch of settings, it shows when i'l pugged in via HDMI to my PC but also through apps directly loaded through the TV so i doubt it's a peripheral issue. I used a SLR camera to take pictures of the screen using different brightness so that it's easier to make out what is happening. It seems to be mostly on the right half of the screen. Anyone have any ideas of what is going on ? I hope I don't need a new TV...

Hello everyone I have a certain and weirdly unstable printing issue with my Epson Stylus Photo R3000. Before i describe the issue I'll say that i have already tried to replace the cartridges, the paper type and i have done the cleaning routine multiple times. So the issue goes like this: After a month or three not printing with the printer, and thus it worked fine before and there was still plenty of inkt left, i wanted to print a picture for a certain even that required a high quality picture on photo paper. But when i printed the picture in premium photo mode(or any other photo paper type for that matter) it didn't print the picture correct, it was like a picture with a ghost, more on the black and white side then color but still color because there was blue. So i did a printer head test and indeed yellow and pink didn't print. i did a few cleaning cycles and nothing happened. after like 10 cycles( and a lot of ink gone), another color disappeared, yes disappeared. So i kept doing the cycles in hope to get the colors back. but it was in vein, even worse almost all colors are gone now except for blue and black. sometimes a color reappears but not completely and then disappears again. This is a really weird phenomenon i can not understand. I also cleaned the ink pads in the right and left(because for some reason it also uses left side to clean, idk why but ye) and i also cleaned the wiper for the head. The head itself is also cleaned to the best of my ability and the ability of a paper towels. Does anyone know how to solve this and/or why this is happening? Its very frustrating cause it is supposed to be a good quality machine Already big thanks for reading this.

I started up battlefield V today and as a game was beginning i clicked alt-tab to do something else quickly then when i restarted the game, the image looked like this (pictured). After some experimenting i found out it was only doing this when i had HDR enabled in the graphics settings, turning it off corrects it, I have an HDR compatible display and a rtx3080. I've reinstalled the game, my gpu drivers as well as reset my monitor and nothing has fixed it. Has anyone else experienced this/is my gpu or monitor broken dead?. Any advice would be appreciated

Hello all, I recently purchased Asus Vivobook k15 Oled. By default it comes with hdr disabled, and asus says that it is pre caliberated, but on turning hdr on, the colors look a bit washed off except for hdr content, which looks amazing. If anyone knows whether it is calliberated for SDR or HDR, please tell me. I don't know in which one I should work...

From the album: nothing to see here
Changed the led color order from blue-yellow-red (cold, warm, hot) to red-yellow-blue (blue >75C which I never reached...) Might rewire 2x red wires into 6 wires so would display red for any temp or swap for white led, when I got time for that. For now, much better for black-red-white system to not have that blue led of the gpu most of the time. GPU plastic shroud off while drying, spray-painted red - not exactly airbrush quality, but will do :) (As you can see, it's red = cool, also GPU-Z says 47C right now, so all good - in case someone worries ;) ) Other things done: - Changed the stock (sh...) Corsair 140mm fans for Phanteks white, and added 3 in the front (just a few holes need to be drilled). - White led strips (2 top / 2 bottom, back and front each). - Demciflex Air 540 filter kit, so I actually keep the dust out. Corsair stock front filter does barely anything for fine dust. - Delidded 4790K (vice-only method, just needs vice, a bit a of Tesa Crepe (painter's tape), and some small towel around the vice in case the anything falls). - One handle broken off the plastic hdd tray ( :() - I actually broken all 4 off now, so it looks more symmetric lol... k© YES muahahhahaha

Lately I brought Samsung crg9 monitor, to use for my Asus ROG M15 laptop everything went smooth used it for 3 weeks until I downloaded BF1 the colors and everything went funny, high contrast and brightness. I adjusted everything back to normally except one thing the red color is bit orangy like the YT logo bar and buttons even some old designs I did in red when I open it, the red color shift to orange, even like inside the folder it stay red. I have tried to fix the colors in color management installed the color ICC for the monitor, tried also gamma, NVidia and it still the same and I think its a software problem not hardware related since the files preview shows red until I open them. I attached an example idk if it works or not to explain it Sorry for my bad English.

I have Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 and the screen looks a bit dull... When I turn on the laptop the screen looks perfect, at least as it should. And after some seconds the armory crate stuff starts to happen like performance/Turbo and other color grading like game visual stuff/vivid and stuff(this is when the color gets dull). Vivid Looks best in this case, but before this effects kicks in it is better and I want to keep it that way. Can someone suggest something that can make the display looks good? or stop the colors settings from getting applied in the first place.

I have been noticing slight color banding in certain places in the UI but especially in the Default dark mode wallpaper. I wanted to ask if this is normal or it's a known issue with windows 11. i made sure all my drivers are all updated to the latest version possible and i've messed around with the built in color calibration tool to no avail. I would include a picture te demonstrate but PNG compression would destroy any evidence of actual banding.
