I've booted up COD for the first time in a long time and its having problems with loading. It gets stuck on the launcher window and never loads. It won't close in Task Manager and the Scan and Repair Function won't get beyond 0%. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi all, So I am back again after a year to bring you the same problem, except this time with the new Beta for COD MW3. So, the same problem is back again and this time I still have no true solution. I had the game running for literally 6 months with no issues and then I just had to go and uninstall for space reasons. Then I go to download the game and what do you know, it is back to running at 7-15 fps and using 7% cpu and 10% gpu will in menus and maintaining that during multiplayer. So I tried what I had before: -Verify game files -reinstalled the game -set cpu priority to low and high -set cpu affinity to all but cpu 0 -changes some of the game files to specify to use 8 cores -made sure xmp was turned on in bios -turned efficiency cores off and on -checked if graphics drivers are up to date/rolled back updates -updated bios and drivers for everything I have on my computer Ultimately we are back to square one of hoping I can keep trying something until it works again. If ANYONE has found a working solution or have suggestions for me to try please let me know! I am running on a high end PC for anyone wondering if my specs can't run. I was getting over 200+ fps at 1440p for that 6 month period.

Hi, I am a new poster. So, basically it has been 69 (nice) days since Activision Blizzard gave me a false ban. STORYTIME! It all started on December 2022, I received a warning about being banned on the OPEN BETA of the game. Months after I purchased the Vault Edition. Since I bought the game on Steam, the following things happened: -Trust Factor got screwed in games like CS:GO since I began encountering cheaters -I have a stain on my profile displaying my gameban like a mark of shame on the Arbiter's chest on Halo 2. - I can't play anymore the RETAIL version of Modern Warfare II AND Warzone 2. Naturally, I went to contact Activision Support about this. To sum up, this image: I thought, this can't be right. When asked more details about WHEN I was banned, I had a terrible terrible experience with Activision Support. I had confusing emails. First, they said they had some account enforcement applied on my account due to "suspicious activity". They still repeat that "we did nothing wrong". You may argue "Well, you could be cheating". I have a 14 year old Steam account that my father heredited to me and I have like 4. I REPEAT. 4 Anti-Cheats on my Computer. Riot Vanguard, EAC, BattleEye and played on VAC-secured games. Then, it went to "Your account is made under review, we have no idea why". However, afterwards they said they'll investigate what went wrong. Now, months later. I get AN ACTUAL EU SUPPORT AGENT. He confirms that I wasn't hacked, that my account is under review and everything will be fine aannd- Nope. Still permabanned. So, we're still at 69 days. And still permabanned. I tried doing every possible route. Q: "Steam refund?" A: Can't, almost 100h of gametime. Q: "Legal complaint?" A: I tried but EU suggested me going to a lawsuit to them. Q: "Are you sure there's a false banwave?" A: Yes, I'll be linking articles and even a blogpost of a former Microsoft employee explaining what went wrong. EVEN YOU GET BANNED BY PLAYING THE CAMPAIGN. https://www.pcgamer.com/it-looks-like-call-of-dutys-anti-cheat-is-permabanning-innocent-players/ https://blog.mikeswanson.com/post/702753924034297856/activisions-faulty-anti-cheat-software If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. I tried posting it in the r/modernwarfareii Reddit but everytime I get banned. Cheers.

Hi Right now I'm choosing my pc and I'm at the stage of choosing my gpu. I want a pc optimized for playing COD and I heard cod would be more optimized on amd than nvidia so I looked at the bench (which I obviously take with a grain of salt) and it turns out rather TRUE. I made a choice between the 4070 ti and the 7900 xt. And I wanted to know your opinion. Configuring my pc 13700 kf 32GB 3200MHz thank you for your reply

Also is there a place where ppl could meet up to play it? If not, that's understandable, it's a game from 2003 after all.

So I decided to purchase COD:WaW for a bit of nostalgia gaming while in quarantine and I'm being met with a "Profile could not be created" error (See screen dump) I've tried every fix I can find online, though most of them are pre 2019. The latest forums seem to be eluding to anyone who purchases a new copy of the game and hasn't previously owned it, as if there's some sort of game key issue, or a server issue not allowing new accounts to be created, though a small portion of people seem to not get the issue at all, so I am at a loss. I've reached the limits of my troubleshooting knowledge and am hoping someone here is able to help! I do have punkbuster turned on, and checking task manager while trying to connect shows a small amount of network usage so it seems as if it is connecting to the internet in some way.... Thanks in advance!

These are my specs I upgraded from a Asus Dual 1070 to an MSI GamingX GeForce RTX2070 Super and I've been experiencing mixed FPS lately in games I play on 1080p I simply want clean 60FPS on highest settings I believe so should be well equiped for it but I'm having unstable FPS dropping to 45 but never a solid 60. Is anyone else experiencing this nightmare? If there's anyone that might recommend something I'm willing to try. Already use DDU and performed a clean install and also rolled back 1 update. O feel like 2070s was such a bang for the $ that they're purposely messing with the drivers. I've seen a lot of mixed experience and inconsistency from the gaming community.

Hi, I built my pc as of last year near the end of 2020, and ever since I finished the building process, I have been having issues with games such as Fortnite and COD Warzone. I am pretty confident this issue relates to my power supply and not overheating because sometimes my computer restarts immediately at launch. I also downloaded an app called Core Temp, and my CPU temperate is staying within the range of 65-70 degrees celsius before it even restarts. Some info you may need to know is that I had a Ryzen 5 5600x Vermeer CPU which was later upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5800x, and we made sure to apply more thermal paste when upgrading. Additionally, I used to have a 1660 super and that was later upgraded to a 3060ti. I also had this ongoing issue with my 1660 super, but not as much as I am having it with my 3060ti. That is the reason I am thinking it is a power supply issue. I also did verify checks for Fortnite, and scan and repair checks for COD, and have also done reinstallations many many times. In some cases, reinstallations works for Fortnite, but no hope for COD. Also, sometimes when I cap my fps high, my pc automatically restarts which also makes me think its a power supply issue. I don't think it is overheating as I said before because in some cases, it restarts immediately during launch. As for Valorant, everything works fine and I am able to play. This has been an issue for such a long time and it is very frustrating, and I am considering replacing the power supply and giving a try on that. But before I do that, I wanted to create a forum and see what others say. Below are my specs: - AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 3.8 Ghz 8-Core Processor - Corsair H115i RGB Platinum 97 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler - ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PRO (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory - MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB VENTUS 2X OC Video Card - Fractal Deisign Meshify S2 ATX Mid Tower Case - NZXT C 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Some background: I used to get 120-170 frames per second playing Warzone on high settings with my current hardware. However, within the last 2-3 weeks, Warzone has become unplayable, such as the FPS hovers around 40-50 (with larger drips often) with insane amounts of perceived input delay on a 165hz monitor, I have exhausted all possible fixes and still same issue. I am running the game at 1440p 165hz monitor with G-sync My hardware: 165hz 1440p monitor, CPU: i9-9900k OCd to 5Ghz GPU: MSI TRIO X 2080ti, RAM: 4x16 (32GB) DDR4 3600Mhz Storage: On an NVME SSD. What have I tried? Checked CPU temps (all normal when playing) Checked GPU temps (all normal when playing) Checked GPU clock (clock speed is appropriate for the card 1.7-1.9Ghz) Downgraded Drivers Upgraded Drivers Reinstalled Drivers Reinstalled game multiple times, on both SATA SSD, NVMe, and HD Repaired game files Scanned windows for issues Changed Nvidia Control Panel settings for global and game Modified adv_options.ini to correct settings Updated Motherboard Bios Updated all drivers Tested GPU on other games (works perfectly) Did stress test on GPU and CPU (passes with top scores) Changed in Game settings to all low ('doesn't affect FPS at all Changed render resolution within the game (50-200% no change to fps...) Tried fullscreen borderless, fullscreen, and windowed. Enabled/Disabled V-sync Disabled G-sync Disabled/Enabled Nvidia Reflex input delay Disabled and enabled windows Game Bar, and Game modes And Lastly completely reinstalled windows with no files being kept. I've contacted Warzones support and got a reply saying try modifying resolution blah blah, no help at all, I asked for the issue to be escalated, which was never done. So I am coming to the community in hopes that I missed something? I hate not being able to play at all. TLDR: My Warzone framerates horrible for my hardware, and I've tried everything to fix it.

Hi All, First time posting, hopefully someone can help. With us still under lockdown my friends and myself are playing a fair amount of Call of Duty Modern warfare. Unfortunately in the area that I live we have limited option for internet so I am using LTE/4g+ it's not great but generally in game I have a roughly 50ms latency which is definitely playable. Problem is I tend to get a fair amount of packet burst (3 small squares appear on the righthand side of the screen). This makes the game play quite stuttery. I found a solution where you edit the adv_options.ini in the player folder under my documents. Basically the recommended change it to set the Rendererworkercount to the number of physical cores on your CPU. I am running a Ryzen 3500x which is 6 core 6 threads. The original value in the .ini was on 2, so I changed to 6 as recommended. Now for what I can't seem to figure out, my fps went from a relatively stable 115fps to 140fps and the packet burst decreased significantly. The video did state there would be a performance increase. All good so far, but the problem is the FPS is now jumping between 75 and 140 which is just as bad if not worse than the packet burst. I tried playing around with the Rendererworkercount using 3 and 4 as settings as well, they also decreased the burst problem but made the fps unstable. PC Specs below: RYZEN 3500X ASUS TUF X570 PLUS 16GB GSKILL 3600mhz ram ASUS ROG gtx 1070 Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hey everyone, My Brother and I both want to play COD Warzone and modern warfare together, but for some reason we both can't connect to the game, at least not at the same time. And neither of us can connect together . I tried reaching out to activation on twitter and email but they weren't much help. and sometimes we can join the same game but its laggy that even i cant move . there is no error code, its just saying disconnected . And i think its because we use the same network , Here's the situation: I have already tried port forwarding, reinstalling the game, running the game in safe mode, deleting the blizzard folder in programdata, resetting the firewall and re-allowing the game through it, and setting a static IP. I believe the problem may have something to do with the fact that we are on the same network, so we have the same public IP address. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, did you fix it? If so, how? +Every other game runs perfectly fine. Even overwatch (both overwatch and warzone are downloaded through blizzard)

Ok, so i just downloaded warzone to play with a friend. My specs are: I5 7400, gtx 1050. And with EVERYTHING at low and render resolution uncomfortably low, it still says 2300 of 1977 mb of vram. But i littaraly can't turn it down more. I i get a choppy 40-55 fps. Is something wrong, every other game i play works well, atleast at low settings... What can i do?

Hi, I just downloaded cod warzone, And I play for the first time and my gpu usage is crazy high, and im only getting 30 ish fps, vsync is off, fps caps are off, and settings on high, I see benchmarks with my hardware getting 150+ fps. Also I try and watch a 4k youtube video and the gpu usage goes to 70%+ for 4k, where its usually 15% at most for 4k. And obs when I have it open not even streaming is at 50% usage, this never happens in any other game I think warzone is bugging out my gpu or something. Any idea? 2070 s R5 3600 16GB 3600MHZ corsair ram 600 watt psu b550f mobo asus

CPU: AMD 2600x GPU: RTX 2070 Super RAM: Corsair 16GB 3000Mhz Motherboard: Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming SSD: Intel 660p 2TB PSU: Seasonic 750W Gold Windows 10 64 Bit I've been having this issue for months now where my GPU usage in COD games (and also other games I play) is no where where it should be (55-70% usage) along with my CPU hovering around 50-60%. I know its not that severe of a CPU bottleneck because I've seen videos of both 1080p and 1440p where the GPU usage is well into the 90's and consistently staying there. I even have done a fresh install of windows multiple times (including yesterday) and have the latest drivers for my GPU and motherboard. This leaves me to assume that it is a hardware problem which I have no problem replacing but I just don't know which component could be the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated to figure out what is wrong! Video showing low usage:

Hey yall I have a quick question! Lately I have been experiencing low fps in warzone around 50-80ish while the multilayer runs at around 120-144 fps! I wanted to ask if something is wrong with my rig as I think my cpu is the problem. Sadly I'm not such a tech savvy guy and don't know if that's the case. Rtx 2060 Asus dual I7 4790 Asrock B85M Dash/ol 16gb ddr3 ram 2tb hdd 1t ssd Evga supernova g2 550w I've tried alot such as removing useless programs, closing all background applications, checking temps (gpu maxes at 63 and doesn't go higher) etc.... Like I said I feel like it might be the cpu but why do the frames only go down in warzone and not mp I really would love some help please. (all settings are set to low ingame!)

Just playing some of the new games that have come out recently, AC: Valhalla, CoD: Cold War, Watch Dogs: Legion etc. and I've noticed I'm not really getting the fps I want. I have a 3440x1440p 144hz monitor powered by an EVGA 2080 Super with an i7 6700k at stock speeds (4.0Ghz) and 16Gb RAM @ 2400MHz. I'm getting maybe 120fps at basically all low settings in Cold War Multiplayer. Yes, I have the most recent drivers and no, nothing else is running on my PC apart from maybe a couple Chrome tabs and a couple background things. According to Task Manager my CPU is at about 70-80% usage 4.18Ghz while in the middle of a match while my gpu barely hits 20% usage, hovering more around 10-15%. And I have manually told the game to use my 2080 Super despite it already auto-detecting it correctly. Obviously something is wrong here, just wondering if an upgrade is needed, please say yes, I love upgrading my PC lol

The title basically says it all, i have had my pc for about a year now and ive made countless threads on different forums since then and i just cant figure it out. My specs are as following: Asus strix 2080 ti, I9 9900KS, 64gb ram, NVME ssd The game i have noticed this in the most would be Warzone where i get around 100 to 150 depending on where i am, and sometimes it even goes as low as 80 fps. This is on the lowest settings possible at 1440p. While some of my friends get the exact same amount on a 1070, and my other friend 2060, while some others that have the exact same specs as me basically get around 220 on low settings and a good 180 on high. Then there is CSGO where i get around 200 - 240 fps on the lowest settings at 1440p, and i know im already getting more than enough frames in the game and that i wouldn't need more anyways but this is just to show what i mean. If anyone has some tips or would be able to help, feel free to do so, this has been on my nerves for a good year now almost without any success. I even send my pc back to were i bought it and hoped they would be able to test, but they only tested csgo and said that it ran like it should.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to pcs. I got my dad's old laptop and I'm trying to play COD4 on it. I have a question about Swift Shader and is it required? Because a game of similar specs Wolfenstein 2009 runs just fine on my laptop. I have M620 i7 2.67GHz, Intel (R) HD Graphics 64 MB and no dedicated GPU, DirectX12 the laptop is called Dell Latitude e4310. Any advice is appreciated and if you tell me to buy a new laptop, I know, I'll be buying it after I'm done with high school in India. I am planning on getting the Lenovo Legion 5i. Right now, I play games on my Xbox One.

Just recently upgraded from a Ryzen 7 2700x with a msi pro carbon 470 mb to a Ryzen 5 5600x with a ASUS tuf 570 mb g skill 3200 ram 16gb, 1080 zotac amp extreme. I use this computer for gaming and videos. Upon instillation everything was fine. Then started blue screening. Now I cannot open warzone without errors. Fortnite will crash when it opens and my pc restarts. I was reading up online about errors with warzone. I did all of the steps to try and get rid of the error. Even uninstalling and re downloading. Still same errors. So I read a article about a guy who had the same problem I did and he found his fix. He downloaded memtest86 and found he had a bad stick of ram. Took it out and he had no problems since. I’m currently running the memtest86 on my pc. So far it has found 883 errors and it’s half way through. Here are some screenshots of the errors. Does anyone know if these errors point to the cpu being bad or the motherboard? Or could ram be causing this? Any help is much appreciated

Wondering if anyone can help me with this issue as Activision support is non existent. My PC has continuously froze and needed a restart while playing COD Cold War. Is anyone else running into this issue or know how to fix it? I just built this pc a few months ago. I have no issues playing any other games. My cpu/gpu temperatures are not an issue. All graphic settings are on low. No programs are running in the background. Already reinstalled the game and graphics drivers Specs: I9 10900K GTX 1060 3gb Gigabyte z490 UD AC 32gb G.Skill 3600 ram Windows 10 on 980 pro 250gb Games on 970 Evo 2tb Any help is much appreciated

Can anyone help figure out why my CPU wont get past 20% usage and over 1GHz. It only does this when I launch Cold War and I don't know why or how it happened. It makes my frame rate drop and the CPU response time spikes up to 50-100ms depending if I open a browser tab or when I hit the windows key when trying to quit cold war. I tried updating my gpu drivers and scan and repaired the file using blizzards tool in the options tab but nothing has helped. SOS!
