I've recently upgraded my system by replacing my Asrock H310M and i3-8100 with an Asrock B450M and a Ryzen 5 5600. The new parts were installed more than two weeks ago, and I've been getting this BSOD for a day. Mostly it crops up some time after booting up. I've even had it on the password screen. Attempted the memory diagnostic tool, malware removal stuff, updated my GPU and windows drivers, ran chkdsk, reseated my GPU, sata ssd and ram. I've had "irql_not_less_or_equal" twice as well and "System service exception" once. A little help, guys? I had two folders for dump files, Minidump and Minidumps. Minidump was empty, and Minidumps had these files. I did the PERFMON thing but I couldn't get the option to Save As, it was greyed out. OS - Windows 10 x64 What OS was originally installed on the system? - Windows 10 Age of system (hardware) - Motherboard and CPU (2 weeks), GPU (Almost 5 months), PSU and RAM (4 years, with one stick being replaced somewhere in between) Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? - Yes, been more than a year Desktop. hey everyone, so my pc has been shitting the bed pretty hard for the last month or so, its giving me 2 main BSoD, I've got the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT, and WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. I honestly dont know what to do, i think my cpu might be dying does anyone know of a program to help me diagnose these problems? Oh also, my cpu was going into crazy temps sometimes, 90+degrees at idle.

Hi all, Just got this setup today: Ryzen 5 1600; Crucial Ballistix DDR4 2400; MSI B350 Tomahawk;nt Running Windows 10. After booting up the PC and getting in to Windows I get 10-20mins until a Blue Screen comes up which says CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT and the PC shuts down. When I installed the parts I used gloves, although i touched the top of the CPU, leaving a bit of fingerprint dark smudge on it. Tried cleaning it with a bit of tissue but to no avail and didnt want to mess with it anymore so i just installed it. The temps on the CPU are fine 30/40. I flashed BIOS to the newsest version beforeever booting the PC... What can I do?!

Hello folks! I'm facing a problem that i can't figure out, and have never seen. My cousin bought a ryzen5 CPU, a Gigabyte AB350-Gaming3 rev 1.0 mobo, 2*8GB ram, an RX480 a 700W PSU and a 1TB WD drive. OS is Win10 pro, but i tried (no success there) ubuntu and win7 64. When she recieved the stuff, i expected it to be a quick thing to get the PC gaming. However, it produces BSOD regularly, sometimes it just hangs. The BSOD in question is CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMOUT. I tried everything i could think of : putting crappy RAM latency, disabling advanced stuff, with stock basic ram speed; flashing to every bios version i found on the gigabyte website; trying each ram stick in each slot, and all positions for the pair; reinstalled on 3 different HDD (i only have WD sata HDDs, no spare SSD) installed all drivers; removed the ethernet cable (it seemed to BSOD faster when using ethernet...) tried another GPU ... I don't have other DDR4 sticks to try; nor another CPU, nor another AM4 mobo to try. However, i could run OCCT stress test on the CPU, and neither the tensions nor the temperatures had any problem. In fact, the only lead i have is the fact that the system is pretty unresponsive, and it hangs/BSOD when accessing the drive. Indeed, i left the computer alone with no task to do, and no BSOD. I started download stuff, and quickly a BSOD. I managed to get GTA3 installed (sad to try only GTA3 on a RX480 ), but it crashes. So i suspect some super weird problem with the sata controller, but i can't try with neither a sata SSD (no spares) nor a NVME (none at all available). One clue confirming this lead is the fact that for whatever reason, DISK USE is often at 100% even when doing just web DL. On my old rig, under win10 also, disk use rarely climbs to 1% in the same conditions. When i sort processes by disk use, the most heavy disk users barely reach 1% each, and there's a handful of them. We returned the CPU+ram+mobo+PSU to the seller (LDLC), they tried it, and got no problem. Today she brought back the machine, same thing, and i also changed the sata port without success. So i'm left here with only this question : WTF is this bug? do anyone have a clue on this, or how to solve it? Now the only ideas i have is to try random sata cables, change random settings in the bios...

Over the past couple of months I have been getting random crashes/ freezes while playing different games. I don't always get a blue screen error but when I do, I get the error "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR”. I have also gotten the error "CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT" one time. After looking into the "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" I thought the problem was with my GPU malfunctioning. At the time I had a GTX 770 @2GB. Apart from getting the errors I would also notice some lines appearing on my desktop after start up. I figured my GPU was about to dye. I got a new GPU (Zotac AMP RTX 2060) and a new PSU (Corsair RM650x) as per recommended by fellow LTT forum members. After installing the new hardware I am still getting crashes. I have looked at the Event Viewer under "Windows Logs - System" after some crashes and I see 3 errors in a row before the time of my crash. First is "DNS Client Events 1012" followed by two "DistributedCOM 10016" errors. I have also seen "DNS Client Events 1012" followed by two "DistributedCOM 10001" errors. I have tried looking for some ways to fix theses error but nothing has worked so far. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Below is all my information, if I missed anything or need to clarify something please let me know. Dump files: No dump files where created by any of my crashes. Perfmon /report: attached .html file named "PERFMON". Other information: OS - Windows 10 Home Version - 10.0.17763 Build 177763 System Type - x64 What OS was originally installed on the system? - An earlier version of windows. Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from a retailer)? - Retail version. Age of system (hardware) - It was originally build in 2013/14. Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? - I did a fresh start of my system about a month or two back. I wiped every drive and reinstalled windows. CPU model - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790k @ 4.00Hz. Video Card model - Zotac AMP RTX 2060, Driver Version 430.86 (bought and installed 1 day ago). Whilst waiting for his cpu to arrive, I put my r5 3600 in his board an my gpu to load up windows onto his ssd an to make sure that all the other parts were not DOA. Everything worked absolutely fine, with no problems. When the cpu arrives, the cpu wasn't flush with the side compartment of the box (you know where you can see the chip) this raised some red flags for me. So I put the chip into my mobo, it worked fine for about 10 minutes, until I got CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT Bsod. I tried clearing CMOS, restarting a couple times, I actually got into windows once or twice but after a few minutes I would get the same BSOD. I then decided to put the chip into my friends mobo (using my gpu as my friend hadn't bought one yet) an it this time wouldn't post. I didn't even get a post. Since then I have sent the retailor a request for a return, which they have accepted (meaning that I will post it to them they will test it out an if it is detirmined that it is faulty they will send me a new one/give me a refund). Is there anything else I should try prior to sending them the chip? Thanks for the help.

G'day! I've just built my first computer on a AMD based system with the following parts; - Ryzen 5 1600 (using stock cooler and no overclocking) - ASUS ROG Strix B350-F Gaming Motherboard - Team T-Force Delta RGB 2400MHz 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 (defaulted to 2133MHz in the BIOS, I've successfully booted in 2400MHz by changing it manually and also booted in 2133MHz in AUTO mode) - ASUS ROG STIX rx580 8GB OC Edition - Samsung 960 EVO 250GB SSD - TP-Link Archer T9E Wireless Adapter - Corsair RM650x PSU - Phanteks P400s TGE - Windows 10 (64 Bit) I have run into some problems when coming into windows, the first time it booted fine and went through the process of setting up windows and got to the desktop, and i first installed the driver for the wireless adapter to get internet and then installed some of the Radeon settings and AMD software driver updaters. I did also look install the drivers from the ASUS website. I have installed every driver expect for the GPU and as i installed that the computer crashed and got the windows blue screen. I restarted again and uninstalled the GPU drivers (thinking the GPU was the problem) and then re-installed them. I did get to finish installing but a few minutes later the computer crashed again. I tried resting windows, booting with one ram stick, lowering memory MHz from 2400MHz to 2133Mhz and then booting, and wiping the SSD for a fresh install of windows but every time i did something like installing or downloading updates for drivers or even simple things like Steam and Chrome, the computer would crash. I never saw an error message on the previous crashes but on my current fresh install I got the "CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT" error message. Even doing things like extracting the chipset driver files from ASUS caused messages like; not enough memory (not a blue screen but an error message) and during that extraction the computer would freeze for a very long time and go to the error screen. As a first time builder this really has me worried and I'm sure i have installed everything correctly. I checked the CPU for any bent pins and I found none, the CPU is seated properly the power cables are in properly, the GPU is seated properly, and all the power and reset switches are installed correctly. Now i'm just getting the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error. Right now the CPU temps in the ASUS UEFI BIOS Utility are around 50C, the motherboard temps are 37C and the GPU temps are 35C and ASUS EZ System Tuning is default has been untouched at normal mode. TLDR: My computer freezes now when I try to install something on windows and i get the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error message. Is this fixable? or have I done something wrong?

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and wish this wasn't my first post. This isn't my first PC build, but it's certainly becoming my most problematic and a complete nightmare. I've been working it a few days but could really use a fresh set of eyes and opinion on what to try next. I'm getting different BSOD message almost every few hours. This is my new build wish a fresh install of windows 10 pro 64bit. ASUS MAXIMUS IMPACT VIII motherboard i7 6700k at stock BLCK G.SKill DDR4-3200 (16Gb x 2) downclocked to DDR4-2133Mhz be quiet! STRAIGHT POWER 10 600W Nvidia 570 HD (old card) Problem: at first it started with a myriad of different memory BSOD and windows errors. I didn't have a chance to write them all down. Examples: BSOD "Page Fault In Nonpaged Area" Windows prompt "cannot write to readonly memory" windows update error "memory could not be read" It seemed like a memory problem, I thought maybe I got screwed by G.SKILL. Sure enough, when I set the memory speed to AUTO it wants to run at 2133 instead of 3200Mhz. If I set DRAM XMP profile to DDR4-3200 which matches what I purchased the system becomes even more unstable. Now with my memory downclocked, I can at least get into fresh install of windows 10. I updated my BIOS to BIOS 1701 (the latest), and installed all mobo drivers from the CD. Windows stability is now even worse. Below are some of the BSODs i'm getting. I couldn't even grab a dumb using Sysnative as it would crash at the end of running the script. CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT Critical process died kmode_exception_not_handled What I need help with: where the hell do I go from here? I only have one of my DDR4 sticks installed on the first DIMM slot. All components listed above are brand new. Do I run some prime95 on my memory to check for memory problems? I've re-installed windows 10 at least 5 times at this point. Would appreciate any advice from you all. Thanks

I built a new system about a month ago, I'll include the specs below. It worked fine up until last week while I was playing GTAV, it blue screened and I was given a Clock_Watchdog_Timeout error. I've poked around on forums around the internet and I've not gotten a proper explanation. Recently it's not been blue-screening at all, but rather shutting down randomly and then immediately starting back up except none of the hardware, except the motherboard, HDD/SSD, and fans function, I get a 00 code on the motherboard and am forced to force it to shut down and start it again. When I do, I still get the 00 code and nothing working. I've found the only way to fix it is to either swap the memory sticks or remove the second one entirely. It then boots up normally, no error messages, etc. I wore an ESD strap and made sure to take all precautions to avoid blowing parts when building it (I built it myself). I was on an FRC (robotics) team in high school and dealt with electronics daily, so I'm well read in on how to handle hardware, so ESD unlikely, but possible. I'm going to run the machine on one stick of memory for a while and then swap out to my second stick and see if either of them crash the machine, hopefully it's just a dead stick, but I'm probably wrong. Can anybody help me find what's causing this? When ever I play video games my computer will freeze then give me an error "clock_watchdog_timeout" then it says it will restart my computer for me but once it reaches 100% it doesn't. I have Windows 8.1 64 bit (Problem also occurred while I was running Windows 7) *Computer Specs attached My bios are updated to their latest version The crashes usually happen while I am playing video games (Usually CS:GO) and Skype is in use in most cases. The error always is clock_watchdog_timeout or a blue screen. I have tried the following solutions: -Updating my BIOS -Reset computer -Dusted inside -Ventilating computer(in a cold room with air conditioning and an external fan pointed at it *hoping it would help) The problem has been going on for about a year but comes and goes for months at a time. What I have noticed is after it stops happening for a long period of time and I uninstall games or programs that I do not use the problem will start up again. Last time I crashed APU temp was 74 Celsius and 48% usage Computer Specs.txt Computer Specs.txt
