Hi guys, I need help from you! So in some time I am gonna buy a new laptop and I only have two choices in my country, but I need someone to give me some advice on which one is better. Here are the laptops: 1. Asus ROG Strix G16 (G614JU-N3186) 2. Asus ROG Strix G16 (G614JV-N4072) The main difference between these laptops is the GPU and CPU. One has i5-13450HX and RTX 4060 8GB, while the other one has i7-13650HX and RTX 4050 6GB. I am quite knowledgeable about the difference in GPUs but I am not sure if there's a huge difference in CPU. I am a Graphics Designer and mainly I will use this laptop for work obviously, but I also play video games as well. I am working in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and sometimes in Blender (but only modelling and NOT rendering), that's why I am more thinking about the Core i5 with 4060 in it, rather than i7 with 4050, but it will be great if you could give me a kind of review of how much difference is in the CPUs. The price difference is so low that both of the laptops are in my budget. Just remember that I only need a decision between these two laptops, don't list me other laptops that are "better" and cheaper, these are the only laptops that are available in my country (for my budget) and I am not considering buying the laptop online (for example Amazon or eBay). Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Hello! I'm going to be using the H9 Elite from NZXT in my build, but I can't decide which color to use. I want to match my peripherals to this case, and finding white peripherals can be a bit difficult, so I just want some advice/opinions.

It’s a pretty simple question. I would rather have Instagram. (cuz its the only thing i have)

The ports etc. are enough on both, but I'm mainly concerned about the difference between cooling and build quality. MSI B460M-A PRO or GIGABYTE B460M DS3H V2 are also an option - can't really choose between those four. Could anyone please help me out?

Why does the DELL 1703FPT Ultrasharp in some ways look better than the Samsung P2450h? Both have TFT LCD Displays. The Samsung has a weird colour tinge. Like a green red tinge. Reviews stated that too. When watching videos on youtube or a movie and there are black bars above and below, the Samsung has white bleeding through top and bottom, the Dell is jet black top and bottom. Colours on the Dell just pop out more/are more vibrant. Why is the Dell better in these ways than the Samsung? Are Dell a better brand of displays? What are the best brands? What screen should I upgrade to? I don't think it's worth going 4k. Might be visually worth going 1440p for gaming and movies and youtube videos? Don't do multiplayer online competitive gaming. So is a higher FPS screen worth it for me? Play various games from COD to things like Frostpunk. What screen should I get?

Hey guys I'll be buying my new comp paired with a U2415 and I was told that 1070s are overkill for 1080p. May I know if I'm streaming/recording (obs) on 1920x1080 on 60 fps, may I know if u would still be able to play on 60 fps? On ultra settings? I don't mind changing to high or even medium. Note: I'm not willing to downgrade my obs settings to anything lower then 60 or anything lower then 1600x900 In my case which graphics card should I get? Both graphics card will be the EVGA.

Heyo newbie incoming! Im in a bit of a pinch here, i really need to upgrade my cpu for school since there is going to be quite some heavy workloads like 3D rendering and potentially huge PSD files and so going on. I've been rocking a Pentium G3240 for about 4 years now i think and before that just other pentiums, i feel as if i probably should upgrade by now since i use my computer just about every day for commissions and studying. I'd also love to be able to play games above low settings :c As mentiond before, my current CPU: Intel Pentium G3240. The two ones i've been ogling for a while: Core i5-4460 and Core i7-4790. I would naturally go for the Core i5-4460 any day otherwise since it's 220$ compared to the 370$ for the Core i7-4790. Im not on a specific budget or anything but it'd be great if i was able to spend less than necessary since moneys a bit tight! *Edit* System specs MBD: MSI B85M-E45 CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G3240 @ 3.10GHz RAM: 12GB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 PSU: Cooler Master 500W STORAGE: 120GB SSD & 2TB HDD CASE: Some Cooler Master Case

Which would you honestly choose? Ultrawide Curved or a Dual Monitor would you rather have a 34 inch curve monitor or 2 24 inch monitor? state the pros and cons of the option you choose!

so i just recently finished my build (link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pcvKkT ). now that i have some money saved up again, im going to buy a new monitor. but im going to need some opinions... currently i have a crappy 24" 1920x1080 philips monitor with terrible colors and backlight bleed. my second monitor is a lg 25" widescreen 2560x1080 OC'ed to 75 Hz. so im looking for a 24-27" 2560x1440 with a refresh rate from anywhere between 100Hz - 144Hz. i dont know what brand is the best so i really dont know what to pick, because there are like a million monitors to choose from. my budget 300-400 euro-ish. thanks in advance.

Hey all, So yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 10 on an SSD in my system, this shall be called 'SSD install' from now on. All went well, and drivers were installed fine when it was on, apart from one small problem that I have. There's still my original install of windows on my WD Green HDD, this shall be called 'HDD install' from now on. Now, when booting, up comes up a light blue coloured screen, with the option to 'Select which volume to run Windows from', and then lists a Windows 10 install on 'Volume 1', and a Windows 10 install on 'Volume 3'. Now, through trial and error, I found out that 'Volume 1' referred to 'SSD install' and that therefore 'Volume 3' referred to 'HDD install'. I did a bit more digging in the BIOS, and found out that only one drive shows in the boot order, and somehow I have to choose whether I want 'P2 - WD HDD' or 'P1 - Kingston SSD' as my boot drive, there is no option to have a boot order. Whatever I click, it tells me I am booting off of the HDD, but the speeds of the boot tell me otherwise. I don't want to unplug my HDD as it is 1TB of good storage space, and I'd always like my old windows install as a quick backup. How do I just bypass this 'select volume' page? Thanks, Rhys

Greetings. I'm very new over here at the forums (actually my first post), but have been actively following NCIX and LTT on Youtube for years now. Back in 2014 I actually build my first rig from the ground up with the help of Linus' videos. The same rig I am using to this day with some minor tweaks and upgrades. Well actually fried my original motherboard this April after some foolish overclocking (poor VRMs). Any how to the point: I have made the decision of sticking to my current CPU (FX-8350) since the second generation of Ryzen CPUs rolls out. Partially because I am a very, very cautious consumer. Partially because I am currently unemployed and a full CPU-RAM-Mobo-upgrade (around the 500-1000 EUR, depending on what I decide to go with) is out of the question at my current economic state. I've been pretty successfull at breathing some additional life into my rig since I put it together about three years ago. My first step was to up my 16GBs of 1333 DDR3 RAM into 24GBs of 1600 that I found for cheap. Next I diddled around with a second R9 280X in a CrossFireX-configuration. The optimization was a real hassle and I did see marginal performance gains, but ended up having to sell the second GPU in a financial crisis about six months after I began experimenting with CrossFX. Next I installed a secondary 500GB SSD for games and replaced a 5400RPM WD Green 3TB with a 7200RPM WD Blue to have room for some more of the non-competative games. After that the latest and probably single largest upgrade was switching up my mobo after I blew the originals CPU 8-pin power socker and or VRMs doing some stupid overclocking. I moved from a bottom tier 990FX board to a higher tier 970 mobo (ASUS Pro Gaming 970 Aura). Anyhow. As I said, I am not a wealthy man and I've set a sort of a "road map" if you will for my future plans to upgrade the hardware. At the very earliest I'll be able to make the leap to Ryzen during the second or third generation at the very earliest. I know it sucks, but it is what it is. In the mean time I should have enough "loose cash" to upgrade my peripherals (display, keyboard, mouse, headset) as I go along and if and when I come across them for a good deal or ona a discount. At the moment I am mostly limited by my GPU, which is a XFX R9 280X DDE Black Edition (1080/1550MHz) with a 3GB of VRAM. I am currently able to scrape together about 250-350 EUR to upgrade my GPU. I am looking mainly at the AMD side of things since I want to stick to an "AMD-only" build and out of principle I will not buy an NVIDIA card. I know there are benefits to each and at one point I was looking at the different 1060/1070 variations, but game to the conclusion that any 1060 variation that was worth consideration was ultimately underpowered when compared to the OC'd models of the RX 480/580 lines. 1070 on the other hand has performance, but I disagree with the NVIDIA-pricing premium, I want to maintain a "Red build" and the overall pricing on the 1070 line is beyond my budget. So I am mainly looking at the RX 580 8GB cards (which I know are essentially overclocked and refined 480s, but I am fine with it personally). My question to you is: which is the "most bang for your buck"-GPU in the RX 580 8GB range of cards and should I be considering some of the older RX480 cards which seem to be similary priced or at times even more expensive at some retailers than the newer 580's (which really dumbfounds me)? Since I currently am rocking an ASUS motherboard and also have an ASUS sound card and most likely will be buying an ASUS 144hz monitor (they are frequently on sale at my go-to online retailer, I have seriously considered the ASUS Strix OC 8GB TOP-model (the one with the larger 1080TI-styled cooling elements) to be the most appealing option to me at the moment. It runs at a clock of 1430MHz or so and seems to be somewhat futureproof for when I eventually jump to Ryzen in a couple of years. I wanted to know if the Strix TOP-model would be a valid choice? Also as an appendix let me ask you: is there any chance that I would not see any performance gains when compared to the 3GB 280X I am currently rocking? The online benchmarks show that the FX-8350 seems to be playing pretty nicely with both RX 480 and 580 cards and there should be no issue of bottlenecking. Just want to be sure, because I am a sort of a stickler. These are my current specs: AMD FX8350 @4.0GHz w/ Wraith cooler ASUS 970 Pro Gaming AURA 8+8+4+4 (24) GB of HyperX DDR3 1600MHz RAM XFX R9 280X DDE Black Edition 1080/1550MHz Corsair RM1000 PSU 80+ Gold, modular ASUS Strix SOAR Gaming sound card 120 + 500GB SSDs 1TB WD Blue 7200RPM 3TB WD Green 5400RPM 24x DVD-RW -> all this in an Antec 302 case (the case itself has a couple of aftermarket fans in addition to the ones it came with) Will give any additional specs you need or want. So yeah, really would appreciate any and all help in picking out a new GPU. Please give me any and all tips you have. English is not my first language and it's 0435AM local time when I type this so I *might* be a bit tired, let's blame any typos on that. TL;DR: Looking for a GPU to replace a R9 280X 3GB, preferably in the RX580 8GB line of cards.

Hey, everyone! I am trying to find a desk to buy for my room. I will be using the desk for gaming purposes. I want a white desk that is around 60" - 72". I would also like to have above 30" of depth. I have seen the linnamon (might be misspelled) desk from Ikea but people say it bends in the middle when there is too much weight applied. Maybe say what desk you have and why you like it? I do not need a motorized desk (unless it is relatively cheap), it usually just adds onto the price. Please help me find a good desk and thank you.

Hey guys! So I am looking to buy a new TV and am in need of some recommendations. I plan on gaming on it, though it will mainly be used as my "Chromecast Output" to which I'll stream stuff. My budget is around 500€ (+some if necessary/worth it) and as someone that has never really been looking at TVs or paying attention to display technologies and such, I have no clue as to what I should buy. IDEALLY it should have a high refresh rate, though I found that a lot of TVs use weird ways to calculate it or don't list the refresh rate at all. Also, more than 3 HDMI Ports would be nice. 4K isn't a must, but would be neat in terms of "future proofing" (forgive me for using that term ) I kind of set my eyes on the Philips 43PUS6401 43" 4K TV - it has 4x HDMI, 3x USB 2.0, runs Android TV and comes in at 520€, so it would fit the budget. The size is fine, since I'd be sitting only about 2m away from it. It also got a software update that added HDR fairly recently. That's pretty much it. Would this be a good buy in your eyes? In a review I've read the reviewers negative points were regarding the "gaming performance" in Android TV and the upscaling of regular TV programs. The latter I don't really care about since I don't watch TV at all. But yeah, opinions and recommendations are highly appreciated!

Hi, I was looking for a cooler to go with my processor upgrade and judging by the coolers specifications, it's recommended for TDP up to 95watts, which is coincidentally the TDP of the intel core 2 quad q9650 I will be getting, so the question is, will any problems arise under high load? it's max cooling capacity is 100w. And I guess overclocking is out of the question? I would use the stock cooler but the cpu is used and it doesn't include it.

Hi, earlier today i finally got that hard earned money, and thank god, there is this community, that could (Im hoping) help me building MY first gaming computer. Things im plan to do with this pc: game, light recording to youtube, school things. Plans ive got for this build: no rgb (sorry rgb fans ) (cuz it is costy) I want to play at 1080p mid-high no custom cooling (I can't understand anything in this jazz) I think I like how AMD's Ryzen 5 1500X performs I want an SSD (about 100gb) for my booting drive for hard drive I only need about 1TB (or less) My budget is: $500-600 (around that) Around 8GB of ram Im kinda new to choosing parts to build with, so please help me hunting for computer components. (btw, I know how to build it, I only need help choosing) Thx you for reading this to the end m8!
