As the title suggests I work in a company that uses an old windows 2000 Chinese PC that contains irreplaceable data that are nowhere else to be found or backed up (that's a fault from our side I know). The old HDD is currently working and we are looking to clone it sector by sector believing that if something happens to the old the cloned HDD will just need to be plugged in and will be working fine (the harware of the pc is supposed to be tethered software inside that's why we need the secteor by sector method). We would like to avoid installing anything on the old HDD as much as possible cause the software that is currently running doesn't like any new software. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi all, just made a budget itx rig with some components from AliExpress. Xeon e3 1271v3 (i7-4790) and h97 itx jginyue mobo. Works fantastically but I hate the bios splash screen. I know I shouldn’t care considering bios modding is risky but is there a way to instal the bios directly from ami? Bios reports core version as 5.010 but also shows 2.18.1263 at the bottom. cpu id reports ami bios ver. 5.6.5 dated 4/12/21. As far as I can tell the splash is the only thing my board manufacturer changed from stock ami. The ui has no mouse input and looks like this. thank you all, dillon

I have a Z370-A pro motherboard and I was wondering if those engineering sample laptop CPUs from the ruthless economy pc video would actually be a good upgrade from my locked i3-8100. they seem pretty good but then again I'm not especially great with really technical stuff so I would appreciate some advice. I was looking at this cpu in particular. Thanks in advance, Nathan

I think I made a mistake in this purchase, but I bought a Chinese motherboard (Qiyida x79) in aliexpress along with an Intel Xeon E5-2640 and 16gb of Samsung ECC memory (1333mhz) So, this is the issues list: Clock not syncing on Windows (any windows since Windows XP, tried all versions) USB 3.0 Not working at all, only USB 2.0. Also, XMP Profile for my ram is unavailable or unable to find in that bios (that bios has more options than any bios I had in my life) I'll appreciate any kind of help.

I just purchased an Oppo phone, and it is using the Chinese ROM of Android 11, which means it does not have Google Apps. I did some research and found some Youtube video and articles for installing Google Apps, but I am not sure if I can trust them or if they really work. I tried TechAdvisor's article, but the app hangs during install, I tried this on an older phone (XiaoMi Mi3 at Android 6.0) and it works, but this was a long time ago; while the Youtube video works, but unsure if the apk is original (malwares?). Can you recommend a trustworthy sources/websites regarding the installation of Google Apps on Chinese phones, preferably without rooting or flashing the phone? Or share how you install Google Apps on Chinese phones.

I have a Xiaomi Mi6 with MIUI Global 11.0.6. I was browsing the list of my apps and then on the very bottom is a Chinese App named " 小米金服安全组件 ". Can anyone help me if this is a malware or anything? Thank you! Here is the app along with its version. The apk name is " com.xiaomi.jr.security ".

Source: http://www.anandtech.com/show/10770/leeco-enters-us-with-lepro3-les3-tv Looks promising for a Chinese Company but they need to do it right if they want success. This doesn't look too hard for the hardware they're offering for the price

Hello, recently I bought an MSI computer from gearbest (model named GL62M 7REX) , it's working well except I can't change the windows language to English/Hebrew. I saw in reviews that you can reinstall windows and it will be in English but I tried and it stayed in Chinese, I saw another review which stated you can download other language pack but I don't seem to find any in the official Microsoft website. I also tried the obvious solution of changing the language in the computer settings but it didn't work either. if someone can help me I will be very grateful because I don't know Chinese

Company Background: Qian is an extremely small company, they only have four products all together, the Qian 25, Qian 39, Qian 79 and Qian 99. They don't even have a website and rely on Baidu forums to promote. In total they've only sold over 2000 units. Sounds pathetic right? Well the thing is they've got a pretty solid fanbase in the forums, and the CEO is a previous IEM reviewer on Baidu. Maybe due to the low sales their existence and reputation has almost became a "legend." (just like back when xiaomi piston 2 became an overrated legend on head-fi). For some reason it says my account doesn't have enough permissions to upload a photo. I will use ones online. Technlogy (translated from official description) bunch of jargon: Diaphram Air Guidence Balancing: Using virtual manmade ear canal environment and total area of the front canal they analysed the direct sound waves and reflected sound waves effects of the change of air pressure. After synchronal adjustment of the rear unit balance rate and total air passing amount, banlanced the front and back air pressure of the earphone. So that when the diaphram is vibrating can quickly go back to original position. This promises bass to go deeper, preserving the amount and at the same time not stuffy and less reverbration. Magnetic Aggregation Technology: According to the strength distribution and the sole magnetivity of neodymium iron boron, with the coil's intermittent magnetic field's electromagnetic transduction energy level as variable. Enhances effective electromagnetic field utilisation, increasing response sensitivity as a whole. Making both mobile phones and high output devices suitable. What? That was my reaction after reading the description. It can either be true or false. It provoked my curiosity. Priced at the same price as a Xiaomi piston I should definetely give them a go. Packaging: Photo of box here The packaging of this feels extremely cheap and unsuitable for retail. It comes in a metal box with a pressed logo. Inside the box is four sets of plugs with one of them being a memory foam one. But it feels sticky, cheap and can be used as an earwax cleaner. It also comes with a back ear cable holder which I found to be a highly unsuitable and inconvenient way to wear it since it falls out easy and the sound is not good when the plug is not fully inserted. (more on that later). All placed in cheap ziplock bags. Comfort: Very common design. Straight, metal and cylinder. 2cm total length. Cable: Photo of cable here The cable is a premium thick copper cable with them stating can withstand 40kg of stretch. No MIC. Sound Quality: Sorry if all that hype builds to nothing, cuz there's really no surprises with this IEM. The trebel feels lacking, the clarity is definetely decent i reckon with the help of the cable. When out of the box it feels like the most neutral thing ever, almost convinced there's no V shape. It's funny because I'm bit of a base head but after 100 hours of burning (90 hours of Burn-IN CD and 10 hours of progressive house) surprisingly heavy base started to kick in. Remember at the beginning all the base notes sounds like pen taps. Base slightly sounds from back of your head. But definetely can be used for a long time. Very decent clarity, fast and responsive bass (has depth but small amount), slightly lacking in treble, field is very small. Slightly piercing highs. Comparisons: sounds like earpods with less field more clarity. Feels like it has less 31HZ than the earpods but more 62 HZ. Sounds like a Xiaomi Piston 2 with less field, more clarity. This is defientely classified as not recommended. PS:I've ordered the products below: Cube Mix Plus Xiaomi Triple Driver Earphones Vsonic gr07 Bass and I'll review them all.

So, I have an idea for my next PC build everything is going to be the same as what's in pcpicker however I'm going to use the mobile 1150 hq chip instead of the i5 but I don't know how well it will perform with the gpu picked out would like some input, I know the Intel chip isn't recommended however it is a good solid price point to see an Intel chip all things considered and buying it off of eBay you save the Hassel from taopao. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/J29Bgw

I work for a company that recycles computers and PC parts. Someone brought these in and saw the stickers on the back labeled "1050ti" and "1060 3gb". I take it these are fakes, or did i find gold? (both have an HDMI VGA and DVI for display outputs)

With all the LTT videos on Chinese computer parts, I've decided to make a $600 semi-budget build (you could technically achieve the same performance under $500) using mostly parts from China, including the featured P106 and a modded Gigabyte z170x gaming 3 motherboard. Although it is supposed to be a budget build, I did buy some parts with future expansion in mind since I will be using it as a server. (maybe another p106? lol) The only components brought from China were the CPU, motherboard, and graphics card. The case being too heavy to ship, and I did not want my PSU to explode. The other components had relatively the same prices as in China. Specs: CPU: E2146G Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3 RAM: Single G.Skill Aegis 8GB DDR4 2666 GPU: Gigabyte NVIDIA P106-100 Storage: Crucial mx500 512GB PSU: Corsiar CX550 CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE Case: Fractal Design Meshify C (not really budget but it looks really good ) E2146G and Z170X The e-2146g (https://ark.intel.com/products/134866/Intel-Xeon-E-2146G-Processor-12M-Cache-up-to-4-50-GHz-) is basically a new "E3" series processor which requires the new C246 chipset motherboard. The motherboard requirement, however, can be easily bypassed. By modding the bios and preventing contacts of a few pins, the e-2146g can be installed on any 1151 board. For instance, you could put it in a B150 motherboard and use DDR3. They also support "AMD only" DDR3 ram, which are basically ram chips from old-server-ram soldered onto new pcbs. These rams are surprisingly cheap at about 50% of regular ddr3 prices. The cheaper ones could go to about $15 for a single DDR3 8G 1600. Nevertheless, I went for a Z170X which requires normal DDR4 ram for better upgradability (which ended up costing 40 dollars more). The motherboard costed about $70. It was pre-modified to support all 6, 7, 8-gen and E21xx CPUs, thus costing $20 more than a non-modded z170x gaming 3. Meanwhile, the e2146g costed around $180. The specs are pretty much identical to the Intel page except that it runs at 3.4Ghz and turbos up to 4.3Ghz. P106 You guys probably have already seen it a million times so I will not say too much about it. The graphic card looks OK other than the dusts in the heatsink. Temperatures are alright with about 30 degrees Celsius on idle and 50-ish when gaming. The Build Benchmarks 3DMark Assassin's Creed: Origins on very high settings Cinebench

I haven't bought anything from TaoBao before, I do not understand Mandarin either. Is it safe to buy from there? Here's what I want to buy:https://m.intl.taobao.com/detail/detail.html?spm=a21wu.11154615-global.list.2&id=561437648942&item_id=561437648942 If you guys can understand Mandarin, does it look legit? Any shipping charges? I do not want to buy using a TaoBao agent because they charge a lot for shipping (I am used to free shipping due to AliExpress). I live in India by the way.

Hi, i want to get a new psu to replace the integrated 320 w one in hp compaq pc's since i need a 6 pin for an RX 580, and im on 60 / 70 dollars budget, so i couldnt find any psu for that price in my country ( PSU's are so overpriced here ). i found this one on aliexpress : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000207704736.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.74133c0099AyO3&mp=1 Its a 650W PSU with pretty good reviews and they claim that it is 80+ Bronze rated, im only gonna use it to power up an i7 3770 and a rx 580, is it still dangerous to buy this psu even if the power consumption will not be even close to 600 w ? what do you think about this psu ? PS : i already tried to search for a better options but i didnt find any for that price atm.

Hey guys, I recently grab some hardware that I had seen on YouTube, mainly just to tinker with. It’s a “PlexHD X79t” motherboard and an E5 1680v2 Xeon. And yes I know the Xeon draws way too much power for the power delivery but it’s mainly just tinkering hardware. My problem is the CPU won’t clock above 3.7ghz no matter what the BIOS tells it. (I also fully unlocked the BIOS to see if there were hidden options) I have increased power limit durations and toggled P and C states on and off with no luck of getting higher clocks. If anyone has experience with these boards any advice would be appreciated. Thanks PS I attached a scroll through of the BIOS options I unlocked FullSizeRender.mov

Hello, My background mysteriously changed to some Chinese caligraphy. Whenever I change the background back to the default, it switches back to this Chinese caligraphy. Is it a virus? How do I remove it? (FYI, I have a paid version of ESET antivirus.)

so for my build i have been looking for the best value gpu as i have a low budget and here’s a trick to telling apart the fake chinese gpus from the real ones so first you need to find the gpu you want and search i am trying for a gtx 1060 when you find the card you need to go to the description and look for core frequency and memory frequency. you then search the memory or core frequency and it will come up with the card it actually is. hope this helps thx for reading this

Hello again my fellow computer nerds. So I bought two graphics cards off the online shopping app "Letgo".. they were listed as AMD RX580's.. 8gb gddr5.. First red flag was when I asked him 3 different times who made it... And, Asus, etc, and he ignored the question.. I got the feeling he was trying to rip me off, but at the listed price he had of 200$, and me talking him down to 160$, it was worth seeing what came out if it.. I told him I would need to plug it into my computer to confirm it worked, and confirm it was an 8gb rx580.. he agreed.. usually people who are trying to pull some funny business don't want you to look under the hood.. he got here and we talked and he told me they are generic brand cards, but they are indeed 8gb rx580's.... I ended up not having an 8 pin plug in my PC so I couldn't confirm it worked so I told him I was going to pass.. he then told me that he really needed the money bad and if I bought it and anything was wrong he would give me my money back.. I told him I would do it if he gave me both cards for 160$ total.. he agreed.. as soon as he left I realized I had two 6 pin cords hiding behind something in my case, so I installed them and went to hook up the crossfire bridge and realized there are NO fingers on the PCB to plug them in... So I installed just one, installed a power supply booster that has the correct cords.. installed amd rx580 drivers online from AMD.. everything works perfectly fine.. device manager and gpu-z and ccc all say it indeed is an 8gb rx580, all the clock speeds are right, everything looks legit.. and performance wise, they rock.. 1080p on ultra settings I'm getting 50-80 fps in world of Warcraft, counter strike source I'm getting 294 for on maxed settings.. it did artifact kinda bad one time while watching YouTube, but hasn't happened since.. temps are good.. everything seems fine... But it is clearly NOT a legite AMD RX580.. the shroud is different and has no branding... Just now I took it apart to see if I could see anything identifying on the PCB, and to my surprise, it has 8memory chips, and has an and branded chip..... What in the hell is this GPU???
