TL;DR : Iv only used MX Brown, I need a new keyboard asap and the one i like only comes with MX Blues for retailers near me, I use a headset while playing games like World of Warcraft and League of Legends. The browns never pick up on my voice activation but im scared the blue will be to load and constantly pick up on my headset while playing games, Are blue switches realy that loud and will O rings help without making the switches feel like mush? (only worried about sounds picking up on headset and beoing forced to use push to talk/o rings that make it feel mushy, no one sleeps near my room) hey so my current keyboard (Corsair K95 with brown switches) is getting pretty old and well to be frank some keys dont work properly anymore due to accidents with water spilling on my keyboard recently. Anyways iv decided to buy the new Corsair K95 Platinum XT but i can only find these in Blue switches that are still on stock (for retailers near me) problem is i have never used blue switches and i play a lot of games like World of Warcraft and League of legends while on voice chat with friends and i hate using push to talk, i use a headset when on discord with friends so my mic wont be on my desktop next to my keyboard or anything but im still unsure if my mic will pick up the load sounds of the key stokes and annoy my friends, currently with the mx bronws im using, unless i full on mash a key as hard as i can it doesnt pick up enough sound to activate the mic (since i have voice activation set at a fairly low level) but i am worried that the mx blues will pick up on my mic to the point were i need to put voice activation up so high i will need to yell to activate the voice activation or use push to talk (which i really dont like). Does anyone else have experince with MX Blues and using headsets? i dont usually mash my keys down hard but sometimes i do without thinking while playing league of legends.

Anybody know where to find/buy mechanical keyboards that have the Cherry MX Green switches? It seems like the Cooler Master Trigger keyboards aren't produced anymore and I'd like something that is like it. However not many of the big named tech companies (ie: Corsiar, Roccat, Logitech) have any keyboards (either that or I didn't look hard enough). But they keyboard has to be backlit, as well with the letters on the keys, but RGB is optional. It must have a palmrest, macro keys aren't needed, it must not be tenkeyless, and have the arrow buttons, basically a full keyboard. It can look pretty cool too, but I'm not going to invest more than $170 into this. I'm mostly looking to get something with the switches, backlighting, and quality, RGB, and aesthetics are secondary. EDIT: I'll also be considering getting a board with Cherry MX Blue switches.

Good morning everyone! I am looking for a new (mechanical) keyboard, and am running into some issues finding one that has everything that I am looking for. I currently have a Logitech g510s, which works great for gaming, but I've never liked typing on it. And i type a lot. So, what I'm looking for (in order of importance) is: Cherry MX Blue switches (or another reputable brand) Dedicated media controls, especially a volume controller Metal construction (or ate least a metal backplate RGB lighting other things that would be nice, but not mandatory: low profile keycaps USB and audio passthrough Wrist rest LCD screen (i actually use the one on my g510s to monitor my hardware temps and useage in-game, so I don;t need an OSD that will take me out of the action) As for other switch recommendations: I know a lot will say "try brown switches" or "try red switches"- I have, and I didn't like them. Here are some keyboards that I've found, but they are all lacking in something: Tesoro Gram Spectrum- Honestly, this is my first choice. I love the low profile design and keycaps, but its missing the dedicated media controls. Corsair K70/K95 RGB- this one would be perfect, but they discontinued the blue rgb switches. G,Skill Ripjaws KM780- This has literally everything I want, but is kinda ugly, and I've read that (at least at launch), the color transitions were NOOOT smooth. Does anyone know if this has been fixed via firmware/software updates? Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2- I REALLY like the switches, but it feels cheap, lacks the dedicated media controls, and is overpriced, considering its all plastic and has the Kailh switches. If anyone has any recommendations, that would be great. Ya'll are awesome. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i7 5820K (OC to 4.5ghz @ 1.25v) Corsair H100i V2 MSI 970 Gaming 4g SLI 16gb Corsair DDR4 Samsung 840 EVO 250 gb 7TB HDD Corsair 500r

I can't decide between these two keyboards. They a currently the same price, making the decision even harder. I like the (mostly) better build quality and standard key layout of the Pro L, but I really like the RGB customization and USB passthrough on the Strafe. Which one should I go for?

I was looking for a Budget keyboard to match my new rig, and I came across this mechanical keyboard with Genuine Cherry MX Blue switches for $30!!! And it is a full size 104 key keyboard. It is called TVS-E Bharat Gold. At first I thought this might be just some stupid marketing thing and they may be some cheap chinese knockoffs, but they are not. Here are the links to some reviews I found online, and in geekhack's images, you can clearly see the branding of cherry. https://sahilsatishkumar.com/2014/12/25/tvs-e-gold-bharat-mechanical-keyboard-ps2-first-impressions/ https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=48838.0 And about reliability of the brand, people here in India have been using this keyboard for YEARS in offices without realizing. Turns out the accountant in my Dad's office uses one since the past 8-9 years, without any problems. I do not know about the availibility outside India, but here you can find the PS/2 varient for Rs. 1900 ($30) and USB Varient for Rs. 2100 ($33) Would like to know what are your opinions on this.

I want a keyboard in Cherry MX Blue, and I want it to be RGB. This was surprisingly hard to find a good one.The k70 is a blessed keyboard, the looks, the lights, the wrist wrest, the media keys, everything about it is sick. But they stopped making it on Cherry Mx Blue. But they brought back the Blues in the new K70 LUX, which I was so exicted about. But I have so many concerns about it.First of all, why are the Blues out of stock EVERYWHERE? On corsairs website, it is not on Amazon anymore, not on newegg anymore. WTFAnd so many people are complaining about the blue switches. How some of them dont click properly, and they are muchy. A bunch of people say the setting in period fixed it on a few days.I went to Canadacomputers and placed a back order, but after all the problems with the switches, I dont know if I should get it anymore. But I dont see any other options for Cherry MX Blue RGB.And how long will it take to some back in stock anywhere, but espicially at Canadacomputers? Are they even still making them in Blue? Because I have no problem finding the other switches.Thank you

Hi all, I'm looking for my first mechanical keyboard, and after watching numerous videos, I have settled on the Cherry MX Blue switches. I like the loud click sound of the MX Blue switches, and I like a deep press, but not enough to get finger fatigue. I do video editing and light gaming, but I need a number pad, as my dad is a banker. Due to the vast amount of mechanical keyboards out there I'm not quite sure on what to get. I have a couple of preferences on what I would like: Cherry MX Blue switches Corsair Full size (Not 10 key-less) Under $100 Available on amazon.co.uk I've had a bit of a look, but would like your opinion if you own one already. Cheers, Sam.

Soo i ve been looking for a new mechanical keyboard with clicky switches to buy in like 1 year when i ll be moving out to college, and i want to know what s better between kailh blues and cherry mx ones, and if its worth the extra price because of the "genuine clicky switches" that companies use to make good marketing.I ve found a hyperx alloy fps pro for around 70 euros from a retailer and thats the usual price of a 104 keys keyboard with kailh blues,at least in my country.

My old, faithful Razer Chroma keyboard finally died a few months ago after four years of use and one poor attempt at a thorough cleaning, which sadly ended up sending those blue switches to their mechanical grave. Now, having used a crappy bargain bin early 2010s dell keyboard for the past months since the disaster, i'm ready to upgrade. So far i've set my sights on the Apex 7 (non TKL ; with blue cherry mx switches since that's what the chroma had), the G513 Carbon (again with blue switches), and finally the Asus Rog Scope (non TKL; blue switches). Thoughts on my choices, anyone- advice, even? I really enjoyed my old cherry mx blues on the chroma and i'd like to keep that trend going, and having a full size keyboard is a must for 3d modeling, but beyond that i'm open to anything. (Usb passthrough would be nice)

Hi, I just sold my Logitech G710+ becuase I realy coudln't get used to typing accurately with the macro bar on the left after 5 years. It just put me off and I never used the macro keys anyway. I also hated the gloss. When I got the G710+ it was either that or the K70 so I figured I'd give the new K70 a go but I've just seen that they've changed the font to suit "gamers" better. I really dont like the font. I generally hate anything that looks like it's made for gamers so I dont know what to go for instead. My requirements are: Full size (with number pad) Mechanical keyswitches - something tactile but completely silent would be great. Dedicated media controls Backlighting (not bothered about RGB, white will be fine) Palm rest Normal font UK layout. I mainly use it for typing, programming and sometimes I'll load the odd game. I did like the MX Browns from the G710+ but found the sound of bottoming out and the keys resetting made the keyboard just as loud as a blue without high pitched click. I was going to sacrifice the tactility for silence by going for the K70 LUX with Cherry MX Silent RGB but then I saw the font. Has anyone heard of another keyboard that checks all the boxes that I could have a look at. Also, has anyone used the MX silent RGB? How silent is it really? Thanks. Smiley Sloth ¦)

Hey guys, so recently i've been looking for a new keyboard and i have my eyes set on the CM Masterkeys S TKL with white backlit LED's. I'm used to using the blue switches and I really like the clickyness of the switches. When i look at the US and EU site i've seen they have blue switches for that keyboard, but when i looked on NCIX or Canadacomputer, or even amazon, i can't seem to find one with white backlit LED with cherry MX blue switches. Thanks guys!

cherry mx blue rgb Where do I get cherry mx blue rgb switches

Where do I get a set of cherry mx blue rgb switches? The ones that have a see-through design instead of one that are black. NOT A CHERRY MX BLUE KEYBOARD, JUST THE RGB SWITCHES. -
Hi. I was wondering if the romer-g switches could be replaced by cherry switches(cherry mx blues). If so, you could then replace the crap keycaps that logitech included. Thanks!

Recently, I have been entering the market to buy a mechanical keyboard for my new rig. I dont have buckets of money sitting around, and I absolutely hate my Dell Keyboard from like 2002. I have done some research on Cherry MX Blue Keyboards, but the cheapest one that I could find that has RGB is $100. Is there any other keyboards anyone can think of that have Cherry Blues and that is less than $100(Preferably Less)?

Hi! I recently got a good deal on a 2013 bw with cherry blues (I prefer them over the greens, which is why I purchased it instead of a new one) which has been used and maintained for quite some time without issue. Prior to this I had a Poseidon Z (Kailh blue) which was ok, it wasn't the best, I admit it was smooth and tactile and I didn't have any quality issues however it was too heavy for me to be comfortable over extended periods of typing. My question is this: the switches on my bw do not feel as smooth and overall feel less crisp than my kailh blues. I love the sound, I love the feedback, I love the lightness of the switch, but (its hard to explain) theres something about it that makes it feel frictiony (lul idk). I'm wondering if this could be due to there not being any new lube applied in a few years, and hair dirt and grime buildup on stabilizers. Is it necessary to replace it every few years? I did replace the keycaps and noticed that the lube had come off a bit, it also came off onto my fingers so that might be a reason to replace it regardless. Should I replace it? If so what should I use? It will be tedious as hell. Thanks, John
