Im looking for a pc case (atx for the motherboard and preferably a midi tower or a fishtank like HYTE Y60) Im checking some brands and seeing prices and im wondering if smaller/lesser known brands are actually good PS: i am fairly new to the world of pc building/branding so my "lesser known" is basically stuff lesser known than cooler master, lian li,corsair and other BIG names If you know some good brands/models that arent as well known as the corsair 4000D airflow for example that are under 110 euros/117 usd pls share Preferably that can support an aio cooler as well

I used laptops ranging from budget to premium from Asus, HP, and Dell. I always noticed that the HP and Dell mid-range laptops have worse displays keyboard The HP keyboard is the weak point to me with the worst keystrokes I can compromise on other things like display and chassis quality. On Dell display is of mediocre quality I have seen so many laptops with white or black dots on the screen just after a few months in some cases flexing chassis trackpad sometimes stuck on click I used to recommend HP or Dell (mid-range laptops ) to people but now I recommend Asus compared to others it has a better keyboard and comes with fingerprint authentication, a metal chassis with less flexing while typing acceptable display, and a trackpad. It's my personal preference based on my experience

Im not sure if this is the right section to ask this. I'm at my wits end, Gigabyte can't help me(big surprise) I've googled, ebay'd, aliexpress searched and I can't find anything. I have an Aorus c700(I know I'm a fanboy) I got this case on a great deal, and I stupidly snapped these pins off this pcb while removing the side panel, I see quite a few cases by other companies like Be Quiet!, use the same pcb to get RBG to front panels and side panels. Does anyone know anywhere where I can get this pcb? I really don't want to buy a whole new chassis. I can live without the side panel rgb it's no big deal, but if I can fix it I would like to. Thanks. (attaches pics for the one I broke and other cases that use the same one)

I have been looking around for a short-depth 4U server chassis for a project, and one that I found very suitable was the Supermicro SuperChassis 842XTQ-R606B. However, it retails for around $800, which seems quite a lot for just a chassis. I get that it comes with two 600W 80Plus Platinum PSUs (say ~$300), but still it doesn't explain why the rest is worth $500. What's the difference between this chassis and one from e.g. iStarUSA that costs ~$150? Are there any cheaper but high-quality alternatives that you would recommend?

Hello, I have little problem. I bought MSI MPG Sekira 500G and Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS. On chassis there are 4 usb 3.2 and usb type c, however motherboard supports only 2 usb 3.2 and doesn't support type c at all. What i could do to solve this problem? Any expasnion cards, adapters? I would rather not exchange this motherboard because it matches my desired build but if you have something in similar colors and price range, I will consider it. Thanks for help!

P.S. - IceGiant cooler would blow to the right side of the case - Nothing is absolute (ex: number of fans or their size is NOT mandatory) - Front panel is the most flexible (5.25 space is NOT mandatory either, PSU could very well be on the front-left side)

As the title says, I'm looking for a case to build a NAS in. Nothing fancy, I can't see me using more than 4 HDDs, so recommendations for something silly that will house 12 drives is fun but smaller is more what I'm gearing towards. If the case also had an option to install an old-school 5 1/4" drive too that would be interesting. Let's hear your recommendations (Apologies is this thread already exists, I didn't get any results searching NAS case in the forums)

Hey everyone, first time OP, long time reader... I'm upgrading my home furniture, getting a custom made rack and I'll be filling it out with some audio gear. I'd like to get a rack-mount case for my workstation and put it in there as well (currently rocking Be Quiet Dark Base PRO 900 v2). The problem I'm having is that in Europe, for some reason, I don't seem to be able to find a case that's aesthetically pleasing (it will be placed next to my desk, not in a server room). The only one I could find that I actually really liked was the INFINITUM II 4U Maximum Airflow from Steiger Dynamics - at $379, which would not be the problem, but the shipping quote was just astronomical - at around $1.7k. So I got in touch with SD, but they couldn't go lower than $440 for shipping. That's way too much to justify. I haven't been able to find anything else since, so I turn to you for help. My requirements for features are pretty much what you can see on the INFINITUM chassis. No extra drive bays. 360 AIO compatibility. Basic front IO - USB C Nice to look at on the front. Available in Europe or reasonably priced shipping to Europe. Looking forward for your suggestions.

I'm helping a friend put together a parts list for a build he wants to do soon, and we have every part picked out, except for the case. His budget is pretty tight, and we need to get a case for $70 USD or under. His only real requirement is that he's able to see the fans through the front of the case, which is actually pretty hard to find in a cheap case. I would like to find something that's good for airflow, as well. Can anyone help me out with finding one? EDIT: Looking at our list again, it would actually be better if we could find a case for 60 or under, but we may be able to stretch it to 70.

So I just added the last hard drive that my case can hold and I am looking to expand to a much larger amount of disk storage. I was looking at the 12 bay Rosewill server chassis however it looks like it is sold out everywhere. So I'm of the mindset that if I can get a 12 hot swap chassis for about $100 then if I'm spending 3 times the amount I better be getting something I'll never have to worry about again. Any thoughts on some other options? I run a full sized ATX board for my server along with a full sized gpu for encoding so I can't use any mATX or ITX cases. https://www.ebay.com/itm/4U-Supermicro-45-Bay-SAS2-JBOD-Storage-SC847E16-RJBOD-Expander-W-Rail-Kit/143569211512?_trkparms=aid%3D555021%26algo%3DPL.SIMRVI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D225073%26meid%3D498c352e03c4406c86d0538729914e48%26pid%3D100752%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D16%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D133261932182%26itm%3D143569211512%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplRVIAMLv5WebWithPLRVIOnTopCombiner&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982

Hi guys, so i'm actually wondering how i should plug the case's front io ports to. I know that it is like at the bottom right of the motherboard, but how do which connector is for which? I remember some people saying that where the words on the front io ports wires face also matters, can someone help and give me a very specific one, better a picture as my brain cannot process to much of words. Thank you!

Hi guys, I'm planning to build a gaming desktop with RGB lightings. I wish to have ARGB Case Fans and CPU cooler so it looks better. I actually created a pc part list which includes 8 argb fans in the chassis, i chose cooler master fans as the cooler master pwm and argb hub only is suitable for cooler master products. Does anyone knows of any good chassis which looks really dope (showoff)? It is okay if rgb fans are already installed inside, I will just replace all with ARGB Fans. I wish to get some suggestions from you guys about what chassis you think look dope in your opinion!! Thanks!

Well, (you can skip the intro to the first bold if you want) Thanks to this site, I've gone back to the lab several times due to NOT checking the site, and getting some spectacular help from the community. I also didn't realize the power of facebook market place! Holy CRAP everyone wants muh old system/build. I was getting the junkyard mafia 20 bucks and its a deal! offers for a long time on a certain forum that's also really good for help.... I probably deserve that because pa Anyway, I ordered a new gpu and (although I'm going to have to return it by april 29 IF nobody buys my late 2016 razer blade 14" QHD and core (my initial shot at an upgrade) When I went back to R2D2 I call my tower r2d2, because the level 10 GT by thermal take kinda looks like R2D2, especially with blue LED on and all., ANYWAY, I tired to put the following new build (and old if italicized) into my case: Here's what she's got! i7-7700k MSI Founders edition 1080ti being return to amazon for a lovely gigabyte 1080TI OC'd white card, finally, aftermarket goodies ASUS z270 MAXIMUS CODE IX MOBO 500gb Samsung 960 evo m.2 500 gb Samsung 950 evo agility 128gb for windows install ONLY 16GB 3000MHZ ddr 4 corsair white led 16gb 3000mhz ddr 4 corsair RGB (same just prettier lights). both sticks are in 8x2 here is where it gets dicey folks!! I have a level 10 GT case, it works great, but I've had it for SEVEN years, there has GOT to be a better option out by now Corsair H80 OG CPU liquid color. yes, the old one, and the radiator is on... the back?? (inside) a TX850 gold standard powersupply heres what I'm thinking of adding: thermaltake 3 fan (120x3?) liquid cooler CASE (was going TT p3, but I didn't realize HOW open it was) and the EVGA 1000w platinum cert psu

Hello, i'm in the process of making a mini-itx build for the convenience of going on trips and stuff, it'll also be able to handle my day-to-day gaming and photo rendering. I want the case to really pop, aesthetic-wise, and i know there isn't really a good way to make a mini-itx build look good, but I really want to try. I've always been interested in Brock Hofer's art, and i'm thinking about customizing the Fractal Design Node 304 case with the hyper beast design from CS:GO, i'm just not sure how to go about it. I could do a paint job on the case, but I don't think it would come out good and i'm a terrible artist haha. I want it to look glossy like the H440 Hyper Beast edition, so i'm thinking about painting it or doing some kind of paper wrap with holes cut out for the IO and stuff.

Back in CES 2016, Phanteks showcased the Enthoo line of cases with tempered a glass side panel... They mentioned there was plans to introduce an updated Enthoo Evolve, Enthoo Pro M, and Enthoo Luxe -- with tempered glass, and on the Luxe, RGB support. Then in early April / May of 2016, the availability of the Enthoo Evolv ATX with tempered glass started to roll out. Phanteks have now officially expanded the this option for the Enthoo Pro M, and Luxe!! http://www.tomshardware.com/news/phanteks-enthoo-luxe-pro-m-tempered-glass,32888.html http://themodzoo.com/2016/10/got-glass-phanteks-introduces-the-new-enthoo-luxe-tempered-glass-and-enthoo-pro-m-tempered-glass-edition/ It appears that the Enthoo Pro M's design did not get any changes, other than the addition of the glass panel. However, the Enthoo Luxe went through a few updates, including: Additional expansion slot (from 7 to 8) Extra SSD bracket Four (4) additonal drive bays RGB light support Additional 120mm and 140mm fans The Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass Edition will be available in Satin Black, with an MSRP of $100 USD. The Enthoo Luxe Tempered Glass Edition will be available in Black or Anthracite grey, and MSRP is mentioned to be $170 USD. Phanteks' official Enthoo Luxe Tempered Glass webpage: http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Luxe-TemperedGlass.html Phanteks' official Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass webpage: http://phanteks.com/Enthoo-Pro-M-TemperedGlass.html If you watch HardwareCanuck's review on these Enthoo cases, you will see the clear acrylic side panel is not so..."finger nail test" proof. EDIT (1/20/2016): The crew over at OCaholics got hold of an Grey Enthoo Luxe Tempered Glass for review: http://www.ocaholic.ch/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=4027&page=0 I had been personally WAITING (and dying) for the updated Enthoo Luxe since it was announced back in CES 2016. Initially I had decided to use the Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 5 for my upcoming build, but due to the radiator mounting limitation up at the top, my back-up plan fell back into the hands of the Enthoo Luxe. Personally, I believe Phanteks has built a very good reputation with their computer chassis over the years, and the option for a tempered glass side panel is a nice option to have. Plus, the sub $200 USD price bracket will put it in a very aggressive price point among other similar computer cases.

My new 4k Ryzen build is mostly complete, but I need a new case and a better CPU cooler to top it off. Right now I've got it all stuffed into an old Thermaltake Tsunami case, but it's not designed to be quiet, or fit long cards like my 1070. The build so far: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Cx8Pr7 (Yes, those prices are real. Clearance rack, yo) The guidelines I'd like to stick to are: 1. Quiet as possible 2. Room for large radiators and 5.25" drives 3. Kid friendly / rugged - not top heavy 4. Plain/classic styling - could be mistaken for a office PC. (Like a Define R5) 5. $200 or less Things I don't care about: 1. RGB 2. Windows I'm looking into AIO coolers as a result of the "kid friendly" requirement, as I'd like to overclock this 1600 further. I would get a giant Noctua / BeQuiet! cooler, but a kid knocking over a case might crack the MB or the CPU. I did look at the Thermaltake Core X5 (http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00002806), but wasn't sure how noisy it might be.
