  1. What is the top radiator maximum height before the radiator and fans would hit the top rubber grommets? Thank you!
  2. I am going to drill holes in caselabs cases for bitspower through fittings, what bit should I use for that and will be the right size? Is there a tutorial for this, as it would be my 1st time drilling holes into cases? Thank you.
  3. So looking at the spec sheet, I can put two 560 slims with fans on the top, a 560 slim with fans on the bottom and have a PSU there aswell. I want to install an aquaero 6XT in one of the bottom bays, will this not let me use a 560 in the bottom? Also, I think the spec sheet said a 480 can go in the bottom but no 560, I am confused. Thanks for your help!
  4. Skunk.. No, Enceladus!

To begin with, I'd say, I fu**** up a bit, I killed the SD card with all the footage of my build while it was being built. But Im gonna document it as good as possible. It all started with ordering around 8500€ worth of "Gear", a new Monitor, the Caselabs Case, PCParts, Watercooling stuff. Here a "quick" parts list for ya guys: "Outside" things: CaseLabs Magnum SMA8 in Black (Super-Duper expensive cause I live in Europe ) Cablemod RGB Led Strips Some 32" Philips TV Asus PG34Q 21:9 3440x1440 G-Sync Monitor An XBox 360 I never use A Blue Ray player I also never use XBox One Wireless controller Corsair M65 Mouse Corsair K95 Keyboard Corsair Polaris Mousepad Corsair Mousemat Corsair Void Wireless Audio Technica AT2020 USB+ Some Logitech Sound system DXRacer LEDXRacer RGB Chair in Green, yeah not only Linus has a RGB chair! 5. Workstation for College!

This will be my first build log on here and I am super excited! As the title suggests I fried my 8350 back in March. Needless to say, I would not recommend pushing 1.47V through a second-hand MSi 970 Krait Edition board to a second-hand processor. I figured out that when you do this chokes tend to ark off of nearby metal heatsinks...yaaa not my finest hour. On the other hand, it was a really clean build before this all happened. I only managed to a take one photo of it before tearing it apart to send parts to MSi. But this is not about the old rig; this about the new one! I am heading off to college in August and can not take the behemoth 750D with me; you might think I'm crazy but it is just a tad too big lol. I am also not going to put any more money into a dead platform (FX series...). So I began looking for a very small case that can still fit an atx motherboard that has good aesthetics and engineering. I arrived at the Caselabs BH7. I ordered it this morning and can't wait for it to come in. But here comes the tricky part... I still need to figure out what cpu/mobo combo to put in. The primary use of this PC will be for CAD and some gaming from time to time. I was thinking a 7800X but with thread ripper just around the corner, I figured I will wait. I like the numbers on the Ryzen 7 series, but the single core performance really isn't to impressing. Hopefully thread ripper doesn't let me down... I also started on a rough 3D model for what I was thinking of doing with the bullet. The whole in the top is a cut out for the flexbay that caselabs makes for their other cases.
  6. 300 Blackout (PC)

If there are any firearm enthusiasts on here, some may get the reference for the build title. This will be my extreme water-cooling build inside my new CaseLabs SMA8 Black case that has just arrived, and If it isn't apparent this will be an all blacked-out build. Throughout the build I will be writing my thoughts on the individual components and any associated customer service and benefits. Here is the build list so far: Case: CaseLabs SMA8 Black* CPU: Intel Core i7-7820X (New Skylake-X 8c/16t chip) I think this chip will have the most overclocking potential, and its an 8 core chip that has fallen almost half price Mobo: TBD X299, Looking mainly at either EVGA or ASUS boards as they offer great overall experiences for products RAM: 32GB Crucial Ballistix LP 2400mHz* GPUs: 2x EVGA GTX 1080ti Founders Ed. SLI PSU: Corsair RM1000i* Storage: Samsung 860 m.2 256GB SSD & HGST (Formerly Hitatchi) 6TB NAS drive 7200RPM* Water-cooling: All EKWB/Primochill hardware w/ Fractal Design (All black blocks/fittings/rads/PETG tubing/fans with Mayhems X1 Clear coolant) in Dual Loop configuration Lighting: RGB module/strips with simple warm white light to highlight the hardware *Parts that are either in hand or being reused. I am currently in a configuration phase with my current hardware to get myself familiar with the MASSIVE case and what other extra parts I may need to order (already had to order two brackets separately). Also theres an unintentional Pauls Hardware Cameo in this round of pictures.
  7. So, just a quick question. I've decided on a motherboard, now I can't decide what ram to go in it. Motherboard Memory option A Memory Option B The case this is all going into is a CaseLabs SMA8 Magnum, gun metal grey. Will be done with custom hard tubing. Overall theme is industrial/military/scientific (some sort of strange combo of all three)
  8. This is my first build log here. It Is going to be a build log inside the Case Labs X2M. I am going to be slightly modding the case, water cooling the system, gold plating parts and doing a custom paint job. Color theme is Black, Grey and Gold. I am aiming for a super quite fast system with a fairly good overclock for gaming and streaming mainly as well as some video editing and rendering. 9. Hey guys! It's been so long since I've had the time to do one of these. I've played around with a 4k system (which is still a work in progress and will be hooked up to a projector). This is my current build (the 2.0 is for a new case [upgraded from Core V21 to Caselabs BH4) and latest Kaby Lake specs: Concept: I originally pictured a dark elven prince who became evil after his father sided with the 'evil' humans who invaded their land to establish peace. I have a whole 10 page story that I'll eventually turn into a comic or publish into some sort of manga/lite novel. The theme for this build centers around the prince - the black for the darkness that fills that princes heart and the evil that's done and the yellow to represent his royal blood and the promise of a brighter tomorrow that the prince wishes to establish for his race with the eradication of the humans. Specs: Processor: Intel i5-7500 Video Card: XFX RX 480 8GB RX Edition RAM: Kingson Hyper-X 2400 4x4 (16GB) RAM PSU: Corsair SFX 600W Modular Motherboard: Gigabyte H170M DS3H MicroATX Fans: EK Vardar, Case Fans, Corsair AF120 w/ custom rings Storage: 1TB Samsung 960 M.2, 2x3TB WD Red (will be getting an eSATA dock for this) Case: CaseLabs Bullet BH4 MicroATX Case Keyboard: Drevo 10 keyless Red Switch Mechanical Keyboard Mouse: Roccat Kone XT Controller: Xbox One w/ sleeved Micro USB Cable by Anker Monitor: LG 29UM68 FreeSync IPS UltraWide Monitor Speakers AudioEngine A2+ Subwoofer: HSU Research 300W 10" Downfiring Sub DACS: O2 DAC and Headphone Amp, Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100 (for speakers) Headphones: HiFiMan 400I Orthodynamic Table Build (built out of 2x6's joined with tie plates): Precursor Monitor (4k 40" AMH, currently using it as my TV in my room): Caselabs! 10. Hello LLT community, Today is the day. Well, not exactly today, but today I am starting this topic with my build into the best case (you might have a different opinion) in the world, the Caselabs SMA 8. Where to start ? Everything started approximately one year ago, when I bought Corsair 540 Air for my first build with watercooling. And it started as a complete disaster. I finished the build everything was perfect until one day. That day, reservoir start leaking from sides (XSPC Photon 170), I was unfortunate to have a broken one. Then I went to put the reservoir outside from the case, but somewhere there had to stay a little drop of liquid (I used Mayhems Pastel Blue) and this drop came to the motherboard, what I did not notice and the motherboard (as you can guess) - died. Anyway, it was good lesson and I ordered new motherboard, assembled parts together, and the build is still running without any problems. Here is some low quality photo (sorry for that). Watercooling HW which I have: CPU: 1x EK-Supremacy EVO - Nickel (Original CSQ) GPU: 1x Alphacool NexXxoS GPX RAM: 1x EK-RAM Monarch X4 - Nickel (Original CSQ) VRM & NB: 1x HEATKILLER® MB-SET Pump: 1x Alphacool VPP655 Reservoir: 1x Raijintek RAI-R20 Radiators: 1x EKWB PE360, 1x PE240 Fittings: Nanoxia Coolforce (Many) Fans: 2x Corsair SP120, 1x Corsair AF120, 3x Prolimatech ultra sleek vortex 12 (because of thickness) Coolant: Mayhems Pastel Blue Berry What will I add: Pump: 1x Alphacool VPP655 (dual loop system) Reservoir: 2x EK-RES X4 250 (current reservoir will go away) Radiators: 1x SE120, 1x PE480, 1x CE560 (+ current radiators) Fans: 4x AF140, 6x SP120, 1x Prolimatech ultra sleek vortex 12 (+ current fans) Coolant: Mayhems Pastel Blue Berry with Mayhems Pastel White together with filter with function to separate from each other (just kidding) And of course there will be more fittings, tubings, leds, lightbox, distribution PCB's, relay PCB's, custom sleeved cables etc etc.. Computer HW: CPU: AMD FX-8350 GPU: R9 270x RAM: Kingston 2x 4GB 1600 CL9 MB: Asus Crosshair Formula Z PSU: Corsair RM750 SSD: 1x OCZ ARC-100 120GB, 1x Samsung EVO-850 250GB HDD: 1x WD Black 1TB, 2x WD Green 2TB And now part dedicated to HW. Cooling system for this HW is absolute overkill, I know it, you know it, everybody knows it. I am building it for the hw, with which I will upgrade it, but as I already said, before I do that I want to wait for new CPUs. And of course other hw afterwards. The maximum in the future what I want to change is the water block. I already have most of the parts, therefore I am only expanding what I have so far. I am doing it for fun, as well for overclocking (not exactly with current hw), as well as for showcase. And last but not least, when I chose SMA8, I want to exploit full potential of this case, since this case can cool nearly everything in the future with nice temps. # 1.0 How I choosed Caselabs SMA 8 ? : I started considering new HW. Later, I refrained from doing so, I decided to wait for the new Kaby and Zen. Because putting anything else without new CPU, is in my opinion waste of money. I can get better performence for example with the GTX1070, but there will be always bottleneck from side of CPU, so I won't do any hw update up until then. But as I started, I was looking for the new HW - this searching made me consider new case, because I lacked space in my old one, and also I wanted to do some great project. During long search I found one case, it was Corsair 900D, until...... I found another one, Caselabs SMA 8. Let's be honest I liked 900D more, there was not a question of price, 900D just looked better for me. I followed Caselabs from time to time and I started to like it more and more. I was still wondering what to do, which way to go.. But BlackFriday convinced me. There was 15% off, so I ordered Caselabs SMA 8. There was still a large price difference between these two cases, so I was just like "nah man" closed one eye and clicked the finish order button. After about one month waiting, it came to me and I started putting parts of the case together. And I can say only one thing about this case, the quality is brilliant. Difficult to say if it's really worth the money, but just look at Apple, or Samsung and their inflated margins. I have to say Caselabs made a badass case, they did a wonderful job and the least is have to do is to recommend this case to anyone living this hobby - you're gonna love it. Cheers. Putting it together: # 1.1 Preparing lightbox for being put together: Today I received the lightbox, I was very curious because I made the whole design and drawing myself. Lightbox is made out of acrylic sheets (3mm), cut out by CO2 laser, by a company named Gravitech. As I already mentioned, I did all of the drawing myself, therefore I was curious if parts would actually fit into each other, without any problem - belive it or not, it worked like a charm. Now I gotta wait for UV LEDs, which I ordered from China in December, since the whole lightbox will be glued together (except for the bottom part - this will be screwed to the remainder in case there is a replacement necessary for the LED if it breaks or for whatever other reason there might be) with glue, which is only reactive to UV light. And as well I have to wait for the LED-strip before I finish the actual thing. I am providing some photos from the testing and also some with the actual looks. # 1.2 Working on cables: After I received Steel Grey PLX from Gosumodz I started with cable flexing. I had most of the parts for flexing from my previous build, where I was doing some extension. In this build I will create full new cables from PSU up to components, thus no extensions. Flexing is very time-consuming so today I finished with 24pin only - length of this cable (with connectors) is about 120cm. # 1.x To be continued
  11. help with 5.25" bay stuff

ok so i bought a caselabs sm8 with a 360 (3x120mm) rad drop in for the front panel, and a 480 drop in to the top, this gives me a little room of the 480 ran to place shallow mounting 5.25" bay shit, i have 2 bays to fill and i want any ideas or pictures, or items that i can buy or make or anything to fill those 2 5.25" slot... any ideas welcome, nothing is too crazy, if anything crazier the better.
  12. How is my build?

ok so this is the build im WORKING on, far from complete but i want input on if ive made any choices that are simply a complete failure... be as brutal as you want, rather get the truth over people being nice to start... that parts i ALREADY HAVE 6850k msi x99 Titanium OCZ rd400 m.2 nmve 1TB some fans 64GB of the total 128gb i plan to get both titan X pascals 48" led tv all logitech prefs http://pcpartpicker.com/list/6HXH3F i plan to get the caselabs case and mod it for vertical mounted gpus rather then horizontal so i can actually see the waterblocks. (once caselabs resumes orders)
  13. does anyone know or have an estimated eta for when caselabs will start orders once again? looking to get a SM8 but everywhere is out of stock.
  14. [CASELABS BH4] MILSPEC II

Welcome everybody to my latest log! This one is a remake of a simple build done a few years ago for someone else, this time im remaking it for me,hopefully with none of the facepalm that comes with a sequel! The latest victim is the 'hot from the press' Caselabs BH4,a case designed by Jim and his hardworking team to be a compact case for aircoolers....well...Challenge Accepted as I dont do aircoolers so this build will be a Sli,fully watercooled rig instead. Most of you know,if you cut me in half then the words In Win can clearly be seen like a stick of rock....however,when a case gets my interest then Im going to have to have a go at stamping my style on it,this is one of those cases! First off, lets look at the case. As usual,Caselabs have gone for a thick gauge Alu but opted for a clamshell design rather than the traditional frame and panel design favored by most manufacturers. This saves on weight and materials which is why im guessing Caselabs dont charge the earth for it. Its compact, really compact...however I have a second lower clamshell which will be flipped to make a small rad bay underneath (more on that in the pics). I also went for the dual window option because...who wouldnt?!? Finish is,for now,Caselabs excellent primer finish,I have used this before and found it excellent so I saw no reason not to use it again, thanks to Jim for that as i know its a PITA to change out colours and primers for just one case! Caselabs provide well for storage fiends! 4x 2.5 and 2x 3.5 mounts no less. Board in place... You can see from the pics that I have mounted standoff's to the lower section, this will mount the panel that will hold the rads and the vanity panel on the front. You will probably guess that fitting the GPU's with waterblocks will be hard...well,it is with my choice of cards, the excellent ASUS 980Ti Strix cards,as they are HUGE! Not to worry tho, there will be a form fitting cutout on top to allow the cards and blocks some space. The GPU's,courtesy of ASUS UK! I went for the awesome 908Ti Strix as availability of a second 1080FE to go with the one I have already was next to non existent. Who cares tho when they are as good as this! You can see how tight it is when I did the shakedown... The RAM courtesy of the excellent team at KLEVV,a new sponsor for me and provider of some sexy sophisticated looking RAM,this is their DDR4 CRAS kit....so cool looking! Thanks KLEVV! The motherboard, the awesome X99m WS platform, this was provided by my mate Tom Logan @OC3D,once he found out what I was doing and how much I wanted to use that board,he selflessly offered me his one from his ASUS pron stash!! Good Work that Man!!! And with that gorgeous RAM in situ Its like KLEVV had a picture of that board next to the designers workstation with the memo 'Make it look awesome on that board'.... Watercooling ,as always, comes from the best,EK. Derick was excited to hear of my collaboration with the ever awesome Caselabs so it was not a hard choice to make! As you can see, this will need a post all of its own! PSU's are in the form of dual Corsair SFX series,no ATX will fit in the gap and those GPU's are not on a diet so the back panel will be modded to hold 2 of these,a 600w for the CPU and 1 GPU while the other smaller 450w unit has the second GPU and the ancillary equipment. Im not giving to much away on this yet but you can count on paint, lots of metal cutting and a dirty great res in the front!! Thanks to the teams at Caselabs,ASUS UK,KLEVV,The constantly awesome EK and me old mucker Tom Logan at OC3D for providing me with the support time and again to do what I love. Big kisses guys XX :thumb:
  15. Hi guys, I need some measurement from all your CaseLabs case owners. I need to know the thickness of the side panel. Please HELP!
  16. Hi guys! First time poster, thank you for having me. This will be a hot rod inspired build utilizing the industrial Caselabs Mercury S5 and matte black tubing with nickel finished fittings and backplates all from EKWB. I've got everything ordered with rush delivery and should begin building and posting photos within the week. Will update as I move forward. Please ask any questions or put up any concerns you might have over this parts list. Best, mDox Imgur Album Update - September 1, 2016 Santa Claus dropped by today with my S5 from Caselabs and the Predator monitor via Acer as well as a few other goodies. 17. Project: Deuterium

Hello everyone Last year in June/July I completed my first watercooled build "Clear & Simple" which was a hardline watercooled loop using acrylic in the black/white/monochrome colour scheme. It looked great but was rather "muted" in the style area not to mention the R9 290X which didn't really fit into the rest of the systems specifications. So, I've decided to have another but this time it's going to be a little bit different. For the project the target will be improving the aesthetics to something more colorful and "eye-popping" to help the system stand out, hence the name Deuterium (Nuclear Fusion fuel) :D. As a result the colour scheme for the system is going to be a black, silver/chrome, blue and purple. This build log is going to go more in depth as I have never attempted case modding, acrylic fabrication or cable sleeving so it will be a learning curve. Now, without further ado the hardware: Components CPU: Intel i7 5820K Motherboard: EVGA X99 Micro 2 GPU: Palit NVidia GTX 1080 "Founders Edition" RAM: 32GB of Corsair Vengeance 2400MHz DDR4 SSD: Samsung EVO 850 500GB Fans: EK Vardar F1-120 Cables: Custom Pexon PC Teleios cables Case: Caselabs S5 The loop CPU WB: EK Supremacy EVO Nickel/Plexi GPU WB: EK GTX 1080 Nickel/Plexi with nickel backplate Radiators: XSPC EX360 & EX240 Pump: Laing D5 Reservoir: AquaComputer Aqualis Eco 100ml Tubing: If all goes well, 12/10 Mayhems Glass tubing Fittings: 12/10 EK-HDC Fittings So that is all for now (I have already started working on the case) but I plan to get some updates done very soon Sidenote: No this build is not sponsored but many thanks to Aytex for the header/logo
  18. I currently have a S8S, Space is currently becoming an issue (Mainly GPU & Radiators are hitting one another (bending the fins). What would be the best option Grab? Merlin SM8 or Mercury S8? Local store has both in stock currently. *Side Note* I plan to sell my S8S(Not doing S8S to S8 Upgrade method).
  19. Hey guys So im currently in the works for a new PC and i stumpled upon the Caselabs Bullet BH2 or BH4 (not decided yet) i really want to use the Asus 1080 strix GPU and connect the 2 fan connects from the GPU to the 2 front fans on the case. but the case only supports GPU that are 282mm Long with the fans installed in front the 1080 strix is 298mm long. So in order for it to fit i guess i would have to not use the front fans even slim fans wont fit. but i was thinking of putting the fans on the outside of the case with a fan grill on them. what are you guys thought on this or is there a way to make the fans a part of the case but on the outside? Sry for my english as it is not my native language Thanks.

Back in October, I upgraded my camera to the GH4, and along with 4K came the 4K struggle. My desktop handled 1080p just fine, impressive for a computer built in 2009. 4K was an entirely different beast. It's difficult to edit because I can barely preview what I'm doing, and the render times are horrendous. (The first build log video for Project Sledgehammer took over 5 hours to render.) Obviously it's time for a new build, and I've been wanting to upgrade for a couple of years now. Now it's a necessity for my channel. My current PC is still valid because it was an all out build back in 2009, and this new one will be even more so. I always say, anything worth doing is worth doing in excess! 21. Prologue Maybe you remember the big project a 15 years old Lucas planned some years ago. Too great visions and to much confidence about that future sponsors would come. I really put myself in a bad position, which I have regret so many times There I was, with one of the biggest cases I've ever seen, what was I supposed to do? I have built some mid-sized systems, some smaller ones, and some even smaller. To be able to decide what fits me the most, why not try something extreme? With an SMH10 from Caselabs, it can't go wrong. I can promise that not only will the looks be awesome, but also the power of it! During fall I will also host a modding-series at Nvidias youtube-channel which I am very hyped about! The computer is called Green, which is a part of the project, although the project include a much more. I want to create my dream gaming-cave! Below you can find the specs of the computer, and what I am supposed to do. Hardware Case: Caselabs SMH10, double window edition! There will be minor changes throughout the duration in this build. In all its glory, CASELABS MAGNUM STH-10 w/accessories and radiator mounting brackets. Will update this in detail later on as well. PARTS ARRIVAL AND COMPONENT INSTALLATION As promised, the beast has arrived. The heart and motherboard for this build, Intel Core i7 5820K and the not so unfamiliar ASUS ROG Rampage V Extreme X99 Motherboard. A closer look at the Intel Core i7 5820K. Putting the heart and brains to the body Close up nudes of the sexy body. I've placed more in a spoiler so that I don't bore you guys who already know how awesome this motherboard looks already. For the memory, we have the Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB 2666MHz RAM. They come in 4 pieces in the kit. Unboxed those sexy rams. Placed them into the appropriate slots. Nothing hard here. They look good though. Closer look at those RAMs Oh I nearly forgot, the ROG OC panel. We'll be using that later on. The removable motherboard tray makes it even more easier to install the motherboard and PCIE components. A closer look at the removable motherboard tray. Screw holes are all in place. Aligning the motherboard and checking whether the screw holes are accurately in place. Yes, I know I forgot the IO shield but this was just to check. Will update even more later today. Thanks guys.

Motherboard Looped Up! 2015-SEP-06: Assembled PDF Version http://alpenwasser.net/repository/files/helios.pdf Current Status Prologue Yes, yes, the SR-2 is old news by now, I'm well aware of that. However, it was not yet when I started this build almost two years ago. Health troubles intervened soon after that (again) and put a stop to my plans. Since I really did not want to sell the hardware I had already bought (the SR-2 among it), I decided to stick it out and finish it when my health and funds allowed for it. Originally, this was going to be a scratchbuild, but the nice thing about having such a long delay is that Caselabs have brought out pretty much the perfect case in the meantime. My own box would have been pretty similar in its layout to the SMH10 and also made from Alu. But buying all the raw materials and the tools necessary to do it properly would have probably cost me more than the SMH10, so I just decided to go for that. The Name Hysterical Excess Labouring Independently Of Sanity, aka HELIOS. Because: It's been going on for almost two years. And I am definitely starting to question my sanity . Also: I've been naming my PC's after Greek deities since forever. The first PC I built was an AMD Thunderbird C 1.4 GHz machine back in 2001, which lasted me for a few years, and it was called Helios (I use the name as the PC's host name within our network, for those wondering what practical use it has). It died a fiery death at the hands of a water cooling accident: Using the Eheim 1048 I had been befallen by the rattling pump wheel. Naturally, I wrapped some tape around the axle which solved that problem. Unfortunately, the tape became brittle over time and eventually, a piece of tape broke off and clogged the loop. Killed the flow, cooked the CPU (no overheating protection back then). I'll see if I can get some pics of the damage to the Cuplex and post them later. After that, I took that name out of use, until now. It's time for a revival. Oh, the original HELIOS was name after the A.I. from the original Deus Ex game, but I've always had an interest in Greek mythology, so it was a nice fit. The Inspiration Originally, PrometheusCU. I'm sure many of you are familiar with it, and those who aren't: Go read it, now! I'll wait a few days. Sadly, its creator passed on and never finished it (it did go to a friend of his, but no activity since last summer, at least not in the original thread ). I don't nearly have his set of skills and/or tools, but that doesn't change the inspiration part. Also, B Negative's SR-2 rig. Main Hardware As a side note: The computing power of this rig will mostly go to BOINC (I might use it for gaming from time to time, we shall see). If F@H ever get their stuff together with regards to GPU folding on Linux (highly unlikely ), I might switch over to folding again, since I'd been doing that for about 18 months before switching to BOINC due to the GPU problem (and a few other niggles I have with the project's behavior towards its donors). The O/S will most likely be Arch Linux (since I've been using that for about two years now and am quite comfortable with it), or if I feel experimental Gentoo or even FreeBSD. Certainly not Windows. I need my xterm and Z shell and UNIX utilities. This is also why I won't get an Aquaero; the Aquasuite is Windows only, and an Aquaero without Aquasuite is, if possible, rather pointless imho :( Anyway: M/B: EVGA SR-2 CPU: 2 ⨯ Xeon X5680 (not ES, normal retail version, got them for half price on eBay, brand spanking new) RAM: 24 GB of Corsair Dominator 1866 GPU: 1 ⨯ Geforce Titan (should do well at computing), 1 ⨯ GTX 780 (later addition). SSD: Intel 520 120 GB HDD: TBD PSU: Enermax Platimax 1200 W (don't need that much power, but the weaker models aren't fully modular, more reasoning for my decision later on) Case: Caselabs SMH10, reverse ATX layout, obviously in black Originally, I was going to use a Koolance 1.7 kW liquid cooled PSU, but it turned out to be incompatible with the SR-2. I'm not kidding, the PSU is fine, as was the M/B last time I powered it on with a different PSU. Somehow, the initial self-check of the SR-2 is not liked at all by the Koolance PSU, so I've had to get a different one. W/C Parts Well, of course it will be under water! . In fact, all my PC's for the last 12 years have had to get wet. CPU blocks: 2 ⨯ XSPC Raystorm Copper Edition GPU block: Probably the Aquacomputer Titan block in copper with the acrylic top. Haven't ordered it yet though, so this might still change. RAM blocks: Alphacool Dominator water blocks in copper with plexi (update: replaced /w acetal) tops. Yes, cooling your RAM with water is absolutely unnecessary. I just like how it looks. M/B block: MIPS SR-2 block in Acetal/Copper Pumps: 2 ⨯ Aquacomputer D5 without Aquabus Pump tops: 2 ⨯ Alphacool D5 pump tops in Acetal Reservoir: Aquacomputer Aqualis Pro Radiators: 2 ⨯ Hardware Labs SR-1 560 + 1 ⨯ Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 480 (that's the equivalent of ~14.89 120mm single radiators, for those wondering). Fans: For the moment, Bitfenix Spectre Pros in 140 mm and 120 mm, respectively. Some people seem to be having bearing troubles, if that happens, I will probably go for some Noctuas. Fan and Pump Controller: Lamptron FC5v2 Flow Meter and Display: Koolance INS-FM17N with the DCB-FM01 as its display. I know flow monitoring isn't really necessary, and the Koolance flow meter doesn't really look good. This is mostly about satisfying my curiosity, and there's enough places in the SMH10 where I can hide the display and the sensor so that it doesn't uglify the build. Fittings: 16/10 mm compression fittings, Alphacool shiny copper and possibly also in black Tubing: 15 mm OD copper tubing (possibly some normal 16/10 tubing in some parts, to be determined). And yes, I have figured out a way to fit 15mm OD tubing into 16/10 compression fittings and getting it watertight (at least according to first tests, let's hope it keeps working). I'm not yet absolutely sure how the RAM blocks will look, maybe it will just be too much or I will have to accent them with some black in order to avoid "Copper overload". We'll see. Pictures Aka the thing that people actually care about. I have my own web space and will be uploading the pictures to it. Quite a few reasons for that, none of them relevant here. There are a few scripts in the background which resize the pics to any desired resolution. I'll be resizing them to 800px width for now, which should not overload people's connections while still providing enough detail. If that's too much, let me know, I can reduce the standard size. Most pictures are stored in 1920x1440 on my server, so if anyone wants to see some additional detail, I will hyperlink each image to its own full-res version. You can also specify any arbitrary desired resolution with the following pattern: http://www.alpenwasser.net/images/w000/h000/imagename.extension Where w000 and h000 are the desired width and height in pixels (you do need the preceeding "h" and/or "w" though). It's sufficient to use one of the two. If you use both, the image will be resized proportionally and the pixel values given will be treated as maxima. So, for those brave few who have not been deterred by my introductory novella, let's get started :)
  24. Whats up? I'm just wondering what you guys think about Thermaltake's more recent cases? I'm fine with manufacturers taking ideas from others but I think that what Thermaltake is doing are straight up copies of Fractal's and Caselab's cases. Is this ok? Or no? Tell me what you think, I'd love to hear your answers.
