  1. Hey, I've upgraded my PC a whiles back now, having issues with internet speed cap since the upgrade, related to motherboard I assume Issue: sometimes my net speed on speedtest is 100mbit with task manager showing network usage being 100%, and sometimes when I restart my PC it goes all the way up to 500mbit with task manager showing network usage being 50% (500mbit being my max speed provided by my ISP) To note: when I'm fixing this issue for time being with restarting PC, I'm literally just restarting PC, not touching BIOS settings or anything else. This 100mbit cap comes and goes randomly, not sure what's causing it, tried different cables too, and I got 2 PCs sitting on the same network, only PC in question is affected, no matter the network load Present motherboard: asrock b650 pg riptide (random caps happening on this one) Previous motherboard: aorus x470 ultra gaming (never had any issues on this one) Any help/suggestions on preventing this random internet speed cap from occurring are appreciated !
  2. This is my first post at the forum so, hello there LTT fans! In Ferbuari 2021 i bought a LTT hat- Just black at the LTT store. This item isn't avaible or listed at all on the site. I was wondering if the LTT hats with the thick logo on the front are coming back in stock?
  3. From the album: Random

funny avatar placement that i thought others would find interesting as well.
  4. Hello, everyone Today I upgraded to a 300mb/s plan, technicians came in and set it up. I still only get 100mb. I noticed that my internet speed link is being capped at 100/100mb/s, my speed & duplex is set to Auto Negotiation (on 1.0Gb Full Duplex it doesn't connect to the internet). My cable is CAT 5e I do get 220mb/s on my phone trough wifi. Thank you for any replies.
  5. Hi, I have a 144hz monitor, but when using Gsync, some games get locked to 140fps when in borderless windowed mode. If I switch it to fullscreen, then everything works properly, and I can get much more than 140 fps. However, if I switch it back to borderless windowed, then it goes back to being capped at 140 fps. In the Gsync settings, I have it enabled for windowed and full screen mode. I'm using a 3700x + 3080 + x570 Tomahawk. I'm currently using two monitors: an AOC 24G2U as the main monitor, and an old 60hz monitor for as the secondary one, but this issue still happens if I just use one monitor. I've tried DDU, only using the AOC monitor, reinstalling monitor drivers, putting the GPU in the other slot, but nothing I've tried has helped. There's no cap in the Nvidia control panel, and I've reset the settings to make sure. The only way to fix this it to either disable Gsync, or play in fullscreen mode - none of which I would like to do, as I would like to be able to use the second monitor without the game I'm playing minimizing on my main monitor. I'd also like to be able to use Gsync. This doesn't happen for every game - eg. Cod Cold War is fine. However, it does happen for games like Apex Legends or CSGO. (I know by default, Apex caps your FPS to 144, but I've changed this.) I know technically you want to cap your FPS under 144 fps anyway, and it's what I usually do which is why I hadn't noticed the issue for ages. However, I was experiencing some stuttering, and so I uncapped the fps, but to my surprise, it was still stuck on 140. The main problem is, with this artificial FPS cap, it doesn't cap very well so the frametime graph is a little bumpy which leads to some stuttering feeling. If I put it to fullscreen (so the FPS is no longer artificially capped) and cap the FPS myself using RTSS, the frametime graph is flat, and it doesn't stutter. Therefore, I'd be happy to see if anyone has any fixes or suggestions to fix this issue, or if anyone has experienced this issue before. Thanks
  6. Hello, Nvidia RTX 2060 Super AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6x3.6Ghz 2x8GB RAM 3200Mhz While gaming: Usage GPU: 80% Usage CPU: 70% Experiencing 40FPS less than people with the same GPU, CPU and RAM. There is no problem with the game settings Temps CPU: up to 90 degrees Celsius and GPU: up to 80 degrees Celsius. Drivers all updated, windows updated, reinstalled windows even. Optimized Windows Power Mode Management and Performance Options for the max performance. Also optimized Nvidia Settings. What is wrong?
  7. Hi, since about 4 days ago, Steam has capped my download speeds at 5 MB/s (megabytes). I have no issue with any other program - Origin, Uplay, Battle.net, Epic or even Chrome. My ISP, guarantees speeds to be above 350 mbps (megabits). I usually get about 500 mbps - above 60 MB/s. This was not linked to any updates or changes. Btw I ofc have a wired connection. What I've tried so far: Restarting PC, Router, Modem, PiHole Flushing DNS Changing download region on Steam Trying beta version of Steam Capping the speed at 10 MB/s - this has helped on Battle.net once Downloading the game on different disk Clearing Steam download cache and lastly, I have everything up to date If you have any suggestion please comment below. Thank you in advance
  8. I have the 2021 ROG Flow X13 and what’s happening is my fps is capped at 120 when my external monitor is 144hz. I tried many things so just give me some ideas on what I can do and I’ll tell you if I tried it or not. It ran fine before and was going 144fps easily but now suddenly it’s hard capped at 120. The laptops refresh rate is 120hz so maybe the laptop is interfering with the monitor somehow, it has been buggy lately. This fps issue happened after I plugged an hdmi into the laptop to the monitor, I removed the hdmi though because it is an old one and was capping the fps at 60. Then when I plugged the display port back in went to a 120 cap, it was always working fine so I don’t know why this happened. If someone is able to give me anything that would be appreciated.
  9. Just found out that contigo caps work with LtT water bottles. Posting pic:
  10. Useful info for later on: Web Browser: Firefox Version 76.0.1 Web Browser: Chrome Version 81.0.4044.138 A bit of backstory: I recently got a new ISP, "SuperNova", they are owned by Kopernikus which isn't known for its reliable internet over here in Serbia... Their net is on cable, same as TV. When we initially got internet from them, speeds were horrible, nowhere near out 60/8Mbps plan. I noticed that power levels on the modem (we got Cisco EPC3925 by the way) were way off from what they should be. We complained and they came to review cables in our area. Most of them were damaged or old so they replaced all of the cables in the whole street and our house. After that we had our promised speeds, about 60Mbps download and 8Mbps upload. My problem: Not too long ago, about a month or so I noticed that when downloading files it would only go up to 2-3MBps (On Firefox, my main browser) and that would be it, it wouldn't go as far as before which was 60Mbps. Although it seemed to be only on Firefox, Steam and other platforms were not affected so I didn't care about it at the time. Chrome was able to do 60Mbps on both options so I thought it was just Firefox breaking for some reason. Searched around for a bit, found a windows command that apparently should be enabled by default but wasn't on my machine. Its something about Windows auto-adjusting what throughput an application can use based on your connection speed or something along those lines, I don't remember. That seemed to help... it got up to 30Mbps which was... meh, good enough Now the problem seems to have gotten much worse... and weird... First 2 screenshots up top are speed-tests done in Firefox, left one is multi, right one is single connection (You can see by the colors). Second 2 were same, but in Chrome And for some reason... Chrome is capped on multi at ~25Mbps, a bit above. I tried other sites but nah, same and I got no clue what could be causing it. Here is some info that could help debug and what I tried so far: I tried doing same tests on my phone, 40/8Mbps on both as expected, my phone cant go above a bit more than 40Mbps. Same on my laptop over WiFi. (Both Linux (Elementary OS) and Windows (Windows 10, latest, same on my PC)) Tried connecting the laptop directly to the modem, almost perfect 60/8Mbps. Tried the same on the switch that my PC is connected to, same port, same cable, almost perfect 60/8Mbps. Tried Linux (Elementary OS) on my PC and it worked normally, almost perfect 60/8Mbps... I don't have any anti-virus, even uninstalled Windows Defender (De-bloat Script) In the time-frame that this bandwidth cap appeared, I haven't installed anything new or tinkered with the system at all, although it went trough a couple of Windows updates. At this point I'm 100% confident its something with Windows 10. It had its fair share of use and Windows updates and I should probably do a fresh install, its a bit older than a year now. For some specific personal reasons, I'm unable to do that or not soon at least. I'm just confused at what it could be other than maybe some settings with Windows 10 on my PC since my Laptop, running the same version of Windows, had updates at the same time and I use it as often as my PC and yet... it seems unaffected. It could also be Windows degrading over time like usually... Thanks to everyone that reads this. I hope someone has some ideas of what this could be. Please tell me if I didn't provide some required info for this, nothing comes up to my mind at the moment. Thanks in advance!
  11. I am trying to record some gameplay on my consoles, I don't know any good capture cards, 720P at 30FPS for a minimum, and 1920x1080 output please, for as cheap as possible
  12. Hey peeps So I have googled my ass off trying to figure this out, but im not a very techy guy, I just turn on my computer do schoolwork, watch youtube or play games. So with this problem im kinda lostt. My memory is currently at 95% at all times, even after a fresh restart. I had this problem before, but I was told this problem was because of memory leak, so I followed (I think it was) this post. http://www.drivethelife.com/windows-10/fix-high-ram-cpu-memory-usage-after-windows-10-update.html And the problem went away. Now it has returned, and this post does not help me anymore. Some said I have to disable Superfetch, which I realized was not enabled in the first place. This might sound stupid to those of you who knows your stuff, but when I open task manager and look at all the tasks open. It says 93-97%, but all the percentages below, does not add up to this. So again, im lost. And it looks like this problem have gotten worse after I started playing Player Unknown's Battleground, which is on itself struggling with alot of stuttering and memory issues for, I think, all players really. Does this have anything to do with it? If anyone could help me out, or even point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  13. Both Skyrim original and skyrim SE are capped at 55 fps with and without mods. I have reinstalled both many times and updated my drivers. Gpu msi gtx 980ti CPU i7 4790k RAM 16gb g skill ripjaws windows 7 1080p res thoughts?
  14. Hi all, This is my first post to the forums! So hear goes. I just upgraded my PC from an i5-6600k to an i7-7700k and I have been getting weird lagging issues since I upgraded it. I decided to run cinebench for fun to see how my CPU was stacking up and the result was abysmal, never thought I'd see a i7-7700 outperformed by a i5-3317. My issue is that my CPU is throttling at about 19% as shown in the attachment and avg CPU temps hove around 29°C If it matters the software I'm currently running includes: A browser with more tabs than Linus could ever imagine Control Panel Windows Settings Corsair Link (for checking CPU temp) Windows Explorer Google Hangouts and the 64-bit version of Windows 10 pro and all its bulls***t along with it. My current build: i7-7700k Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO MSI - Z170A XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM EDITION (flashed to the 7A16v14 update with support 7th gen processors) Corsair Vengence RAM (tbh i don't remember the model as it was a last minute purchase so I could finish my PC) Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2 (OS Drive) WD Black 2TB 7200RPM GALAX - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB HOF Corsair - 860W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX PSU Does anyone know why I'd be throttling at 19%?
  15. Alright, full disclaimer, I don't mean to sound like an ass, and I'm at work so I am not going to be the best at formatting this and making sure of proper spelling/grammar, so please, excuse it. Something that is literally a day to day concern of mine is my bandwidth limit on my home internet, its bad, I have 200 mb/s speeds down and like 15 mb/s up with a 500 gb cap(very low imo) and I can't be bothered to buy into their higher caps cause they are just stupid expensive. My setup in my house, consists of 5 people, my girlfriend and my self each have a laptop, and a gaming pc, with a tv and an Xbox one. My Roommates collectively have pretty much the same stuff going on. However only one of them connects to my internet. Now, I understand if I am streaming in HD/4k bandwidth will be eaten up very quickly, but we don't, I keep my YouTube at like 360p and my Netflix is throttled via their website to the lowest possible setting, and it still just eats it up. I just simply don't understand these bandwidth caps? I don't know how to get it down, it just doesn't make any sense. Just a rant, I really don't mean to sound douchey, I know I'm just gonna have to put up the cash to upgrade to a higher bandwidth. It just drives me nuts. (side note I am a pretty techy guy, but not the best at this kind of stuff so I am going to avoid really specific terminology and arguing about the difference between megabit and megabyte like it always seems to come up in network talks, seriously, I don't care.)
  16. Hey guys so if I have a 144hz monitor and im playing a game and my frames go from 60 to 80 is it better to cap my fps at something I will always be above or should I let my fps go higher. I notice that at lower fps there is a considerable amount of input lag and the game does not look as smooth. I was thinking that capping it would me consistent frame times but i dont really know what would look better and feel the best.
  17. I'm getting along with a project to make a 'programmer's keypad', where keypresses type out common chunks of code in python and C (e.g. there's a key to type out a switch statement in C, or a standard file header (author, date created, etc...). This project is from the ground up, including PCB and software (I might put together a build log at some point), and part of what needs doing is finding some keycaps that have the commands printed on them. I was initially thinking stickers, but I want to make a proper job of this and reckoned that since mechanical keyboards have become so popular in the last 5-6 years that there'd be a place that will put custom decals / text on a set of kecaps. The board only has 20 'caps, but I don't mind paying for a MOQ of a full set (104 / 87 / 61) as it'll leave spare sets for friends and / or let me try out a couple of styles. Can anyone recommend a place(s) that does this sort of thing? (preferably based in UK)
  18. So I have a CAT 5e cable running from my router to my PC. I get a max of 100Mbps Download and 50Mbps upload. But my connection is 250Mbps Down. Which I get on my phone via 5Ghz wifi. Another desktop with Cat 6 has the same 100Mbps cap. Router is DIR-853 D-Link. I thought about getting a new wire.. but if all 4 wired connections are at 100Mbps something else must be causing this?
  19. Hello! First time posting here, trying to find my luck! So, in the summer, I had to downclock my R5 1600X, because it was getting too warm, or I don't know, and my PC froze at some points. After the summer, I wanted to clock back, BUT then I noticed that my CPU was running @4 GhZ (TPU II mode is ASUS's default OC setting) but with 1.525V. Now I had another thread on this on another forum, if it's safe or not, because I read that even 1.425V is overkill sometimes. Because I had OK temps, people said it's perfectly OK. It was, If we ignore the fact that later I discovered that my CPU really only used 1.375V out of that 1.525V. (I has OK temps because of that)Now, I asked ASUS's support 3-5 months ago on the matter, and they said it might get fixed by a BIOS update. SPOILERS it wasn't. (Im starting to get annoyed here)So now, here's what I don't understand: IF I use Ryzen Master and tune in the @4 GhZ, and also, tune in the 1.3975V or a little higher maybe 1.40325V or something, then it's working. CPU uses 1.3975V on all cores (Note that it was capped on 1.375V before no matter how much extra juice was there)Now what happens after applying all the settings, the PC re-boots, and it's all good. UNTIL I start the PC again, then it's stuck on 1.375V AGAIN. and the PC is ofcourse unstable, because I don't have the voltage necessarry to work. I don't understand what might cap the Core Voltages?? VDCCR (AMD's Core voltage) is on 1.3975V but the PC only uses 1.375V out of it no matter what. Also, if Im running on @3.6 GhZ (Stock speed) and have Core Performance Boost on (Automatically OC's the CPU when it senses workload) IT IS UNCAPPED and core speeds and core voltages can go as high as they want to!The only that is overclocked is my ram to have less CL time (14 16 16 34 instead of 15 17 17 36 ) and to be on 3000MhZ (Rated speed), and I have only turned off the automatic Core performance boost and some power saving stuff, since Im not running on @3.6 GhZ. (Currently found the stavle @3.925 GhZI have also uninstalled AI Suite III (ASUS's software to handle OC from the Windows). I don't know what's going on.. The PSU is brand new, and it was the same with the older one.I would appriciate any help! Here's my Spec:CPU: Ryzen 1600X Running at 4 GhZ (All air cooled) RAM: HyperX Predator 2x 8GB 3000MhZ DDR4 (16GB)GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Windforce EditionMOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX B350-f HDD: 1TB WD Blue 7200rpm , Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rpmSSD: KINGSTON 120GB SSDNow V300 PSU: COOLERMASTER MWE Bronze 650W
  20. So I have the Xfinity XB3 router, it’s specified as dual-band 802.11ac. I believe this to be a WiFi Wave1 device (also called a 1x1). It’s offering speeds over 700 Mbps. I’m looking at a 802.11AC wave 2 compatible motherboard (Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI ATX LGA1151 Motherboard) for a build. It claims to have 802.11AC 1x1 of 433Mbps, or 802.11AC 2x2 of 867Mbps. I know the 2x2 (also known as wave 2) wifi to be backwards compatible with my router’s 1x1 (wave 1) wifi; however, what I can’t seem to find anywhere I look is wether I will get the full 867Mbs using my router’s 1x1 wifi capability or if I’m only going to be getting the 433Mbps as a cap. So if I use 802.11AC 2x2 (Wave2) WiFi connection via my Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI ATX LGA1151 Motherboard, will I get 867 or 433Mbps? If I am capped at 433Mbps, I might as well use the MSI MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE AC motherboard, which has better features and is specified for Dual-band 802.11 AC 1x1 WiFi. Please just answer my question, don't sell me on getting one or the other or a different motherboard.
  21. Hello, I couldn't find a good answer to my issue, so I wanted to ask to people with experience. I have 2 questions; 1. Do I need to cap the fps to match the monitor if the game runs faster than the monitor. (CSGO runs >200 even the monitor only outputs 144.) 2. Should I cap the fps to 60 to get smoother gameplay if the game has choppy framerate. (Metro Exodus runs between 55~170, It's playable but the stuttering is noticable.) I have a 144hz 2560x1080 ultrawide monitor with GSync enabled. As you can see this is not really my area of interest. What is the best way to approach?
  22. sorry for the bad english. i have a gigabit connection (940mb day1 700mb tested with my laptop port today) my motherboard is msi z170 gaming m5, the lan port is e2400 atheros killer, the cable is cat6, the swicth is gigabit and it always worked. since a bit i found the connection not fast as always. i found my speedtest at 140mb, i tried updating drivers, cleaning the drivers and istalling it from scratch, no luck. then i thought the lan port was broken or something because i tested the same setup with the same cable etc with my laptop and the speedtest was 700mbs , so i ordered a usb 3.0 to gigabit from amazon basics. and the results where the same.... then i tought to test the new sandbox virtual machine with windows 10 1903. and... the results were 400+ mbs.. with the hyper-v virtual ethernet adapter inside the sandbox. both the e2400 and the usb adapter are listed as 1gb links. the duplex is in autonegotiation by default in both. ipv6 is not the problem. i havent found any program that could limit the bandwith like that.. the only one was killer device center but i unistalled it. i need help. its a crazy situation. i really do not want to fresh start windows 10... to recap the cable is good beacause i can get 700+ on my other laptop i tryed resetting netsh etc with no luck the speed inside vm is 450+ and outside is 145 i tried in safe mode, still 145. qos limiter is not the cause, disabling it i only gained -1 or -2 ms of ping with the same speed. i really don't want to nuke the os.
  23. Yo is there anyone can tell me what are the best FPS limiter ? i'm actually using AMD FRTC,but i heard that this software adds much input lag . is that true ? should i use RTSS ? bcz i want to play with Freesync and my monitor range is (48-75hz) and im getting in all my games 80+fps in max settings but unfortunately i have some game that dont have FPS limiter so i need a software that cap my fps with low input lag.
  24. Hello. I don't want to use a flight simulator where it is not realistic at all. Is there a CAP Certified flight simulator?
  25. WELL i was repasting a cpu on a laptop i just bought. 600 australian dollarydoos for an i7 4720hq and 970m alienware 15 WHAT. A. STEAL. it only had minor aesthetic damage and still came with the box. Anyway. The factory paste goop was all over the caps so i decided to just clean it a little tiny bit incase the new paste touched it and somehow affected something. And *crack* FELL OFF Can this be repaired? I have an extremely trained eye from nature of my work, im guessing its about 0.25x0.25x0.85mm Is there a god in flesh on earth with the skill?
