Hey, everyone. I'll be looking to get a laptop this year (not right away, before summer) before I move for school. I don't game, and I want something that will last atleast the 3-4 years of my Ultrasound/Radiology program. There's no hardcore rendering or anything like that in this type of program. I'd like something preferably under 13". Checked the GPD P2 Max, but I'm screwed if there's an issue since it's totally in the hands of Chinese Customer Service. I will be using a vertical mouse, so multiple USB ports are important, as well as a way to attach it to a larger monitor when that is rarely needed. I'd love to be able to keep or upgrade the storage (and maybe RAM) on the laptop My current computer that will be sold and replaced is a Ryzen 2400G with 16gb ram. Please let me know if more information is needed

I need some help, I need to make a good budget gaming pc but I only have $400 to $500 Canadian dollars to spend or around $280 to $350 american. What is the best bang for my buck pc I can build within my budget. P.s. I would prefer new because the used market where I live is actual garbage like $950 gaming rigs with 1050s in it type garbage.

Hi! Ive recentely started watching Linus's YouTube and realized how awesome PCs are! Ive decided to build one due to me being a huge gamer. My budget is in the $900s, I'm looking for a pretty good gaming PC that can handle games like Fallout 4,Skyrim, and GTA V at 1080p with respectable frames (50-60+) I have a copy of windows and the peripherals. I can try my hand at overclocking if that's what's needed to run games at a higher FPS and is cheaper. Thanks a lot!

Hey all, I am looking for a laptop for around $700 Canadian. I have a pc so this would not be my main computer however I would still like it to be powerful enough. I am a 5th year (coop) software engineering student and will be graduating in April. The main reason I want a laptop is for programming and web browsing. This for me means I would like it to be powerful enough to run one or two virtual boxes and I also would like it to be easy to have it dual boot to Linux. If anymore info is needed I will be happy to provide it. Also as cyber Monday/black Friday are just around the corner if you have suggestion that are a higher priced but I could keep a look out for on those days then let me know!

Hey everyone after many months asking questions on this forum I have finally got it! I call it the Red Dragon! Here are my Parts, http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/3Zprcc. My CPU is clocked to 4.6ghz 58oC@100% load, planning on going higher but doing some testing first! Any ways the build went great but since this is an ITX build and the Heatsink is massive it was quite difficult doing anything with it on. Hey guys, what the best 1500$ Canadian Dollar Pc that can be built for gaming. I'll mostly be playing FPS and MMORPGs (overwatch, doom, BDO, GTA5) My monitor is a 1080p/60 Hz monitor peripherals and OS shouldn't be included and taxes should be included in the budget of 1500$ Any help would be greatly appreciated Edit: id like to at least fit a 1070 in this build

I was looking through cases and I came upon the Cooler Master Box 5. I saw different coloured variation then I came across the Canadian Edition. I looked up it's specification and I don't see any difference based on my limited research. I think I've changed my setup 6 times in the last several months, and well, I am completely fkn lost. I really wanna know what anyone of you would like to see, no bullshi*. My kids have no real interest and the idea of macaroni and string is pretty cheesy. ;) ? So check out the pics below and let me know. Another month, another build... one of my top 3 favorite projects of this year. Velika Planina was named and themed in respect to EKWB and this gorgeous piece of mountain, and the beautiful purple flowers that bloom in its plateau. Fun fact, its only an hour drive from EK HQ! This one is special to me, in so many ways! Tried out some new painting techniques, first time playing with fresh off the line watercooling, and I had the opportunity to document my work in finer detail and use the parts provided to me to create tutorials. I made all the fan splitters from scratch and terminated the RGB fans into 1 plug per radiator. This project was graciously sponsored by EKWB, It took almost 3 years modding to get the YES... Hey people, I'm just looking for some info on buying the RTX 3080 in Canada! (upgrading from my RTX 2060). I really want a FE on launch, partly because I want it right away, and I love the design. I know I can buy it from the Nvidia site with a $50 shipping fee slapped on top, but what are the other options? How delayed are they? Does anyone have experience buying a 20 series FE 2080/ti on launch? How did it go? Thanks!

What a wild project this one was...The Inwin 925 is by far the most prestigious case Ive ever worked with. An absolute crowd pleaser at work and 100k views on Tpbmods, THIS IS FUEL! That FLT 360 d5 was a NIGHTMARE to get in here. Combined with 2 360x45 rads, and a whole plethora of Quantum Torque fittings, the Velocity blocks kept everything chilly. Does anyone know when the Intel 10th gen kf processors will be out? All stores I've looked at have showed either 'pre-order' or 'back-order' along with intel saying it is launched. Also, I heard about the shortages on the 10th gen K processors, anyone know how long it takes for it to go back in stock whilst not overpriced?

When I was younger I spent a few weeks in both Ontario (Oshawa for Mosport) and Quebec (Mont Tremblant for Le Circuit Mont Tremblant) and I didnt know about Tim Hortons so I never went. I was just amazed by the fact you get french fries with gravy on them. I have never gotten to try Tim Hortons Coffee or any of their food.

Look I'll just cut to the chase: I live in Canada and I'm in need of a computer that can run ARK well. Whether prebuilt or me needing to build it I do not care. For the budget, I don't want crazy expensive like above $2000 maybe at best $900, $800 but I'm fine with $1000 or $1100. past that then I'll seriously consider it. Thank you for your response.

I am looking to build an new gaming rig, that can handle anything an 1080p and handle higher refresh rates. I play alot of modded minecraft, which is really CPU heavy, and I also want really fast boot times. I have no idea what components i should choose as I have not been paying attention to any of the new products that came out in the past two or three years. I would like to include and monitor and keyboard in this price, and if i need to spend more to get a more future proof rig, i would be ok with that. Any help is much appreciated

Ok so basically I have a fricken Mac right now that I've been gaming on a little but its time to step it up a bit. So yeah I need you guys to help me out with this one. Give me a list of all the parts (everything) I will need to build a computer (please include links of where to purchase) and use it except for the monitor which I will be getting for my birthday. So that means everything to make a working gaming computer plus a mouse plus a keyboard. So you might be asking, whats the price range on this stuff, well I'm looking to spend no more than 1,500 *CANADIAN*. I'm willing to go over that amount by a little tiny bit if I 100% have to, to get a better part thats really worth it. I've been using my Nikon D5200 for a few years now and it's really not cutting it anymore for what I want to do. It's clunky, has relatively poor video quality, unusable autofocus, and a terrible live view display. When I bought the d5200, I did so for photography exclusively and that has come to be a very regrettable choice. For video, it lacks many features I want to be able to use as well as being lacking in quality with low-bitrate and highly processed files. As I don't have too much money and want both photo and video quality, I've come to the conclusion that the $1100 USD Samsung NX1 is my best choice. For lenses, I plan to buy the 18-55mm kit lens for an extra $200 and an F/2.0 30mm Samsung lens. Later on, I plan to upgrade with more lenses, but to start out, I think those 2 will suffice. My problem is that I cannot find a single place in Canada that sells the NX1 for a reasonable price. Importing from America would cost about $2000 CAD without taxes, but import tax here is insane and will probably cost at least an additional few hundred dollars. Amazon sells it for $4000 CAD. Does anyone know a place that sells it?

Hello! Im looking to purchase the parts to build a Gaming PC. Pretty Straight forward, however, the computer should also be able to handle the little stuff (word processing, internet surfing, etc..) Ill be purchasing all the parts on this Saturday (in three days) I would greatly like a bit of help in choosing parts! <3 Budget & Location: Vancouver, Canada! I would prefer to get all of the components off of Canadian websites to not get rekt'd by the current Canadian dollar against the American one. I can drive to any Ncix in the area or Memory express if that helps cut out shipping. 1000$CAD Budget with an extra 100$ to cover any odd costs/fees that might pop up. This 1000$ is including all the tax and shipping that goes along with it so please keep that in mind. Aim Gaming Rig, thats about it, This machine wont be used for any rendering or hardcore cpu intensive stuff. This will be a storage PC for a large number of Photos and Video files (but ill talk about that when I comment about storage space). This PC will also be used for Daily web browsing, and video watching using simple programs such as VLC. The main focus is to be able to play 2015-16 AAA games at a standard playable level at 1080p Peripherals None needed, Already have the mouse keyboard and Moniter (1920x1080) That 1000$ budget is for the tower alone! :3 Why are you upgrading? The pile of broken love that im using to write this post is currently being cooled by my indoor fan..... None of its components are worth keeping as it was a simple off the shelf buy god knows how long ago. The goodies. Motherboard/CPU: don't care about brand loyalty or looks. Amd or Intel what ever is best suited for a comp at this price range. The motherboard does need to be able to support at least two 3tb Harddrives so please include the extra sata cable cost if not included. Cpu should be able to handle daily use, it will not be overclocked. Memory: Ive seen 16gb of ram do what's needed for anything that I will ever need it to do. So thats where i'd put my beans. 8gb is a bit of a push and you should convince me its good enough if you have it in there. Reliability would be nice as its seems most crashes ive had in the past and with windows 10 on other computers have been memory based, (most likely incompatibility issues tbh) Operating system: Windows 10. ill need a new copy so please inculde that in the price. Cpu cooler: a good quality air cooler should be fine as this system wont be overclocked. I have seen some wonderful things from simple closed watercooling loops but that would be a shiney fit that isnt really needed. Storage: The bad boys. This rig will require a small ~124 gb solid state drive to keep the operating system on and some few quick files. It will also need at least 6TB of hard drive space. however you recommend pulling that off either one 6 or two 3's is up to you. Redundancy isn't really an issue as none of the stuff on their will be life or death if it fails or corrupts (mainly shows, a lot of shows....) Games too will be put on these except for those special snowflakes that need to be on c: drive. EDIT:: Only one 3tb drive will be fine! GPU: All the money that's left should be piled onto the Gpu as it will be the main star of this rig. Im not too set on sli or crossfire so a single Gpu is what im going for. This is also where that super secret extra 100$ might be used if you can convince me that it will make a noticeable change. 1920x1080 monitor, needs to be able to push new games and games coming out in the next year through it into my eyes with playable frames. Hdmi, VGA, DVi are all good to go. Case: Don't care. as long as it fits things it doesn't need to be super cool or fancy. no windows or stuff required just a power button and some USB ports. Power supply: Doesn't need to be modular but ive enjoyed modular power supplies in the past. It needs to be able to power the card and have enough sata power cables to run all of the hard drives plus a dvd drive. (I have the dvd drive already no need to add the 13$ for it) I'm not sure if that covers everything..... Ill be keeping an eye on this post till Saturday when i make the purchase to answer your questions. Again thanks for helping out!
