Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has experience using the NZXT Z63/Z73 AIO liquid coolers. I've looked into these a lot and watched a lot of reviews but nobody seems to talk about the software experience too much. I've had the CAM software in the past and I've seen the gamers nexus software review how it can actually impact performance a bit. I am looking to know if I get this cooler and want to upload a GIF, does the software need to be running? Or can I upload the GIF and when that's done, uninstall the software? Would appreciate anyones help that has used one of these or currently has one. I'm currently doing a full O11D mini build using all noctua chromax stuff! I'll post pictures in a couple of days when it's done :)

I've built my PC some time ago but only now I realised that only my radiator fans react to changes I make in CAM. 3 exhaust fans are controlled by BIOS and I can't set them up as easily as I can in CAM. Z63 comes with two connectors for fans and one for RGB so you can use it as a mini-fan/RGB hub. RGB is not a problem since you can daisy-chain it. But can I plug those other 3 fans to Z63 with a splitter or smth? Or do I need to but a controller to control it with CAM?

I have these weird Windows freezes caused by NZXT's CAM software (as far as I'm aware they happen only with AMD CPUs). Someone said disabling CStates will fix that but I can't find this option in BIOS. Can someone tell me where it is?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wYMh7X for reference, running on Windows 10 Pro. Last night I did four things since upgrading my computer, and to my knowledge CAM was still detecting my z63 before these four things. I decided to update my bios for the Crosshair VIII Hero from 2702 to 3003, I added a wifi card to my motherboard, I added new thermal paste to my cpu, and I installed a standoff to hold my second m.2 (I...had been holding it down this whole time with the heatsink since I couldn't find the standoff the first time). After booting up my pc, I see that my cooler is now not being recognized, and I try to see if it's listed as a usb in the bluetooth settings and device manager and it's not so I'm not sure what happened. I tried replugging the usb 2.0 header to both headers on my motherboard as well as my command pro header, neither or them work. I'm sure the header still works since my lighting for my header controlled by lighting core connected to my command pro works still. I even tried plugging in a different micro-usb to my kraken and connecting that to the front usb port, and it wasn't being recognized. I'm running CAM 4.17.

NZXT CAM Information -
I was rummaging around and found an older casio exilim little camcorder and was wondering if it beats my phone camera. obviously the 10 megapixel doesn't mean much compared to an htc one m9 20M.P. when you consider sensor quality and size, and with app settings I can do crazy things with my phone so feature wise my phone might win out but I'm wondering if straight quality or video quality my older camera might win out note the older camera can't adjust much of anything other than some color options, can't do exposure length, no timelapse built in, no accessory lenses, it's a very basic digital camera that I don't even think does 1080 video I think it's 720@30 the ultimate question being should I keep it for that once in a great while I need a really nice picture? or should I either upgrade to a new one or just hire a cheap photographer once in awhile?

So i noticed CAM software is taking up sometimes almost 35% of my CPU, thats way to much for me so im going to switch away, sucks because i really liked how it looked. i dont own anything NZXT so its fine on that front but i dont know what to replace it with now. i used to use the windows 10 task manager but then i replaced it with CAM mainly because it looked better and i could see GPU usage, so i want something thats not the taskmanager and also looks decent, anyone got any idea? also it cant be chewing thrugh system resources to the same amout either and no rainmeter either.

Hello, I just want to know what is the best fan controller of these 3 (or post a better one if you know), I want to know which of these have the most stable software too cause I don't want it crashing a lot. The fan headers in my motherboard are linked together so all 3 of them run at the same speed whatever i set 1 of them to. Also can you tell me if i need to have the software for each of these constantly running to maintain their fan/speed curve's. I know on the NZXT GRID+ you need to have the CAM software running but im not sure about the other 2, I want to be able to set the fan curves for each of my fans individually and then close the software and the fans would follow their speed curves. This doesn't matter if the software is very stable and doesn't take up much resources, one of the reasons i don't want to buy the grid is cause i heard that it crashes a lot and is a huge resource hog. Thank you

I am looking into getting a GoPro and am wondering wether I should wait until the Hero 6 is released or go ahead and buy the Hero 5 Black. It has been announced that the Hero 6 will be released sometime later this year but no specs have been released for it (I doubt that it will be released before October). GoPro is also running a limited time promotion right now where you can send in any old GoPro and get $100 USD off of the Hero 5 Black bringing the price down to $299.99 (I currently have a Hero 2 and I have no idea if it still works). I will be doing a lot of things this summer that having a functioning GoPro would be really nice for. My question is, if you were in my shoes, what would your choice be? Go ahead and Buy the Hero 5 Black now, or wait till the Hero 6 is released?

OK. I have this problem now with my new build (yesterday). It worked - now it doesn't. The best part is that I set my Kraken X52 to <breathing RED, no logo. This was not my intention as a final setting - but now it's stuck there. WTF do I do to change the settings if CAM won't run?

Hello. So i got myself a NZXT Hue + yesterday and installed it right away with the software and started playing around with it. Now today after work i came home and wanted to change some LEDs when the CAM software wanted to update witch i did. But now i cant change the LED, there is just no APPLY or SAVE CHANGES button. Am i stupid or did they just forget it or do you save it in a diffrent way now? Thanks for the Help
-
Inside my computer, I have a set of the NZXT Hue + LEDs. They have been great except fo the cam software. It crashes and slows down. It doesn't let me log in sometimes and it sometimes doesn't recognize the LEDs. Is there a third party app for the Hue + that works a bit better because I could really use a better version?

nzxt cam NZXT CAM Software Issues, Need help
SnarkyGaming posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
Hi, I just installed NZXT CAM software today. After installing it, it prompted me to update but the installation requires a reboot. So I rebooted first then updated the software. Now, after updating to the latest version, it seems that the software is not working. It is stuck in the log-in screen after inputting my accout information. I reinstalled the software again and not updating it and it works fine. The change logs of the latest update is what I'm after since it reduces the use of resources. I tried terminating the software and made a re-run and now it's stuck on loading the software turning the login screen white with a loading progress of "65%". Any tips/suggestions/solutions is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Attached here is the photo of the problem. I'm currently using windows 10 64-bit. UPDATE: No reply from NZXT Support. Still waiting. UPDATE 2 : My ticket was suddenly removed without my consent from NZXT. Anyway, I found another software to use. Thanks. -
Hello, I'm a new user here as my friend recommended I come here as a last resort for my problem. I have a friend, who is just getting into gaming computers and how to use them. While he was exploring the CAM Software (I'm sure many of you are familiar with it, if not info on it can be found here https://www.camwebapp.com/ ) he accessed the tuning panel and accidentally turned the Core Clock slider all the way up, and exited the program without realizing that it would save his changes. After exiting his screen went black and his computer restarted, and now anytime he tries to run the computer with HDMI hooked up from the graphics card, it shows symptoms of an Unstable Overclock and crashes. It appears as if his CPU fan is also running at extremely high speeds. I have tried many things to fix it: -Unplugged the GPU from the MoBo and used on-board graphics to access the CAM software and reset the changes -Reset the CMOS -Unistalled CAM and other Monitoring Softwares -Tried using MSI Afterburner to turn fan speeds down. Finally, as a Hail Mary, I am currently trying a Factory Reset (Although a friend of mine had said this might not work due to Settings being stored internally in the GPU). I am all out of options and I really need some help if anyone has any ideas. The computer is a pre-built computer from ibuypower, the GPU I believe is a Radeon 390, if anyone needs any more info that I failed to provide, please let me know. I appreciate any help given! -Jericho

Looking to replace the dash cam in my girlfriends car, Her dad got her this one, which has pretty bad FOV and and the resolution is pretty low. It basically makes one recording, but the left half of the recording is the front camera, and the right half is the rear camera. Since it mounts over the rear view mirror its annoying to adjust whenever the driver changes. I originally was looking at the Anker Roav, which there is a review of here on the forums. It looks good, but I kind of want dual cameras, front and back. Or even triple, Front, back, driver, but that's asking for too much, lol These are the ones I've been considering: Rexing V1P Z-EDGE S3 ITRUE X6D Seems I can't really find any dual ones that also have good night vision for the front and back, so I'm might just be more worth it to get 2 good single dash cams and mount them at the front and back.

I’ve been using this dash cam for a few days now and took it on a road trip totaling 7 hours of driving. There are a lot of pros that make the dash cam great and a lot of the cons can easily be fixed with software. I’ll update as I notice some of the fixes Pros: -Great design. Slim simple design with aluminum sides. Makes it very inconspicuous and not just a camera sticking out of your window on a suction cup. -Meant to be a set and forget kind of camera. -High quality accessories included. -Long length USB cable that can easily be routed through an overhead panel (Which is what I did) -High quality Anker USB car charger that can push 2.4 amps though both port (4.8 total) - 2 stick on mounts so you can use it in multiple cars. -Samsung Evo 32GB Micro SD card -GPS to record your speed / route with the option to turn it off. -1440p Resolution or 1080p / 60fps. Can be adjusted to lower resolutions / higher framerates -145 degree wide field of view. -The button also blinks green / red when recording even when the screen is off so you know. - Video locking, including an emergency record button that will start recording and lock the video so it can’t be deleted unless unlocked. When a video is being locked there’s a key icon letting you know. There is an option on every video to either lock it or unlock it yourself. Locked videos also don’t get overwritten when the micro SD card is full. -Confirmation beeps and vocal notifications for what’s happening (Can be turned off) - Built in battery allows it to have a parking mode that can record 30 second clips when motion is detected. The sensitivity of motion can also be changed. It can also be used normally without the USB cable for shorter trips. - Built in mic with the option to easily mute and unmute on the main screen - Auto locking video based on g-forces with the option to change sensitivity - Built in Wifi allows it to connect to the app and transfer video to your phone quickly -App is easy to use, but not necessary to use the dash cam. All features can be accessed using either or. You can use the app to transfer videos off the dash cam to your phone. The app can also be used to update the firmware on the dash cam. App also shows speeds, g-force, compass and route taken during video playback when GPS is enabled. You can also zoom in on the video during playback. Now that’s a lot of pros, but there are also some cons. I believe a lot of them can be fixed with software though and a lot have to do with the app Cons: -One of the biggest cons I’ve noticed is because of the aluminum sides / button, if you try to take it down after driving in the sun you’ll need gloves or something to protect your hand because it heats up a lot. That also goes for trying to press the power button. -There’s no light or indicator when it is charging and off. -App (I used with Android. Unsure on differences on iOS. There is a feedback option in the app that I used to send this info to them) -Can’t select videos by holding them down, only selecting the checkmark at the top and selecting each video. -You can delete locked videos without any warning. This is only on the app and works normally on the camera itself. - If the camera is all the way in the down position, if you try to press it further it will sometimes change the resolution / record time settings and open the menu. Again most of these cons are with the app, which can easily be updated. As for the heat issue, I live in AZ and it's the middle of summer so I probably should have expected it. These aren’t make or break issues. Overall the pros heavily outweigh the cons. I think it's worth the $120 for all the features and nice design, but it looks like it's no longer available. Still figured I'd post my opinion since the 1080p version is still available and is pretty similar. If you’d like to see the video quality during both day and night, I took a couple of the recordings and uploaded them to YouTube. There’s an example for both day and night time. There's also a picture of it installed in my Ford Focus. The cable is tucked into the headliner and routed down the door to the USB port in the arm rest and was easily hidden behind the door weatherstripping. Hi there, I currently use the NZXT Kraken X62 to cool my CPU. I have 3 NZXT Aer RGB 140mm fans plugged into the Kraken X62 (1 for case exhaust, 2 for radiator). I use NZXT CAM to control them. But the fans are too loud for my liking, so I would like to replace them with 3 be quiet! Silent Wings 3 PWM fans. I also have 3 intake fans that I would like to replace with be quiet! Silent Wings 3 PWM fans as well. Question: What would be the best way to control all of these fans? I am mostly concerned about the temperature of my AMD Threadripper 1950X. I have an ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme motherboard. I was thinking of using the included PWM fan hub of my Phanteks Enthoo Luxe TG case. It can use all 6 fans and be plugged into the "chassis fan 2" header on my motherboard. And then use Speedfan to control the fans, because controlling fans through the BIOS results into big RPM spikes and downfalls. So fan hysteresis would be important to me. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Hey everyone TL;DR ver: I want to use my phone as a webcam (and maybe mic) only software I found so far that works is called DroidCam. Long ver: I had a very old hand me down webcam that lost support in the first creators update for Windows 10 chucked it cause it was a cheap and crap one shrug before buying a new one I thought why not use my old Galaxy S5 as a webcam. I found some Ghetto software called DroidCam it has a mobile app and pc client (not sure about ios, mac and linux). It works just fine most of the time but you have to have the software running on both devices and it sometimes doesn't work because the mobile app doesn't detect the pc client or the other way around. Does anyone know of alternatives ? And buying a new webcam is a lame answer. The main reason I want to use the phone is I already own the phone and to get a decent webcam would pretty much be a waste of money imo, I use it for light streaming mainly to record my keyboard and mouse area in game and the quality on the phone camera is a lot better than the old webcam.

I recently built my first ever computer and got many of my ideas on components from Youtube and from LTT. I don't remember if I ever saw the cooler I decided to use for this build on there, but I ended up going with a Kraken x62 v2. Probably the coolest cooler I've laid my eyes on (and I don't mean temperature cool). However, after this summer, (I had built it around the start of summer) and after minimal usage because I was away for a month. I came back to my lovely computer and booted it up for the first time in a month. For the first three weeks of my return, the software that I was using to monitor my CPU, lighting and statistics was utterly broken. As many of CAM users know, the Kraken is just not detected sometimes and require a re installation to work again. After a while of the program working normally, it didn't open on boot. Not even when I tried to manually open it with administrator. I've tried re-installs, re-plugging the USB cable back in, and even switching to older versions of the program, but none of them would even work. The return period for the cooler has expired and I don't want to have to buy another cooler. Any way to fix this?

I thought that I would post this here, since I haven't found anyone stating this as their fix yet. I purchased an NZXT Kraken X62 a while back for my new build, everything worked except for the LED lighting, it lighted up (white) but the CAM software wouldn't recognize it. I tried everything, reinstalling both CAM and the Asetek USB drivers, different USB headers, etc. I then tried a different USB cable, (A USB mini to type A) and it worked. So long story short, if you tried everything, and the cooler functions properly, it may be worth your time to try a different cable. Hopefully this post will save someone the headache that I went through.

I have an NZXT Kraken x52 in one of my PCs and I am wondering If I need to have NZXT CAM program startup with windows once I have set up my profile and such the first time. Would prefer to not have it launch at startup for obvious reasons. As a side note The fans on the radiator are not connected into the fan headers that are part of the AIO, they are connected together via a splitter into the CPU_FAN header on my mono. This means that the pump and lighting is controlled by the CAM software. Essentially what I'm asking is. Does te cam software save your profile onto a memory chip in the cooler which the cooler then reads every time it turns on. Or does the CAM software send these settings to your cooler directly from the software every time you boot up your system.

I am looking at a R9 3900x based computer ( w. 5700xt GPU) from whitebox. I would use it for Cad/Cam work, Gaming, and some 3d modeling. I need enough power to render and simulate physics on ~150-200 parts in a model. So, is ~$1400 a fair price to pay?

Hi guys, I just reformatted my Gaming PC and installed the new CAM update to dial in the fanspeed. I planned on doing the same as before: Setting up the fanspeed and RGB options, once its done uninstalling CAM. However, the fanspeed does not seem to save after closing CAM! I set it to a static 800rpm, ramping up to 1500 when running hot. But about 10 seconds after closing CAM, the fanspeed ramps up to a static ~1250rmp. This is really annoying since the additional noise is really noticeable. The old CAM version did not do this. I also reinstalled CAM completely, still behaving the same. Does anyone have the same problem and did you manage to fix it?

I installed cam, the new version with no evidence of data mining like the old cam software, I notice significant cpu performance monitoring to be wrong or more precisely display as usualy inside 20% cpu usage, never exceeding 30%. Significant higher clocks displayed thought. I noticed it when my fans would turn on loudly but the cam shows cpu usage at 17% or aground it never exceeding the 30% mark and rarely over 25%. Compared it to task manager which is a lot more logical usage/fan noise-speed. While clock speed is also more believable and at a lower clock inside task manager. Any thoughts on why? And if I should even consider cam's data on the matter?
