Hi everyone! Anyone maybbe have LG monitor 27UL500 with PS5 and can share with his settings? I have issues with gray shades (screen looks like a fog) when i play games like AC: Valhalla oraz Guardians of the Galaxy. It's probably bbecauce I can't set correctly settings. I know that this model have not so good HDR but it should not look like that. Thanks from advance!

I couldn't find concrete information online for this particular monitor, what is the best calibration for general use? Cinema mode and Racing mode appear to the best to me, but Cinema seems too saturated while Racing is washed out.

Helloo, Its been 2 months now since i bought the LG CX Oled and i want to learn to calibrate and doing it properly. I've done hours of research trying to find tutorials, mostly on YouTube, and i have only found one proper stream that is only giving a glance of monitor calibration. Done by Colour.Training and the stream was doing an overview of the course that they will offer on their site...which is almost 2 months late from when they said it would be up in the stream. Now this guy from Colour.Training in that stream gave a proper education. But all the rest of the tutorials are crap, literally crap and half-assed. Only one other I've found which does an almost full tutorial but he is doing it half-assed, like alright these stats are good enough so I'm not going to bother to explain what to do in order to improve these stats and the other big thing is that they don't go over which TV-settings to use. So I'm reading and just finding information all over the place about the probe and not really understanding all what is explained. Like i was sure that i was going for the X-rite i1 Display Pro. But later on i found information that the colour isn't proper set up in the beginning and you need to do profiling? This is one of the things I don't quite understand what i need to do. So my questions follows, 1. What is that i need to prepare with the X-rite probe before i can properly calibrate the CX? 2. Can i use a USB-stick or Nvidia Shield PRO to output 4k signal? 3. What are the recommended TV-settings to use for different types for example shooting games, immersive RPG racing games, SDR / HDR, Netflix, Other streaming platforms. 4. Can anyone link me to a proper guide/explanation? 5. Is there someone reading this post who has ISF-certificate whom I could ask questions to and learn from?

since game mode has worse color accuracy, I am wondering if I can easily improve it without spending hundreds of dollars? I need game mode since it easily feels the best while gaming, plus it has VRR and 4k 120fps doesn't have to be perfect, I just want to improve it. is improving it even worth it?

so I ran into a problem where the mouse moves perfectly when lifted by few millimeters and barely moves when i put my weight onto it I suppose the pads have gotten thinner and that causes this problem. Is there any way to recalibrate it or something of that kind cause I've already disassembled and assembled it back to the original state and i guess i would have to put a little more glue underneath the pads thanks this is the mouse= https://www.bloody.com/en/product.php?pid=10&id=107

I have a wide gamut 120% sRGB VA monitor, VG27WQ. It obviously looks oversaturated, especially the red, it's almost like wine. The monitor doesn't have a sRGB clamp mode, so the only two ways to clamp the gamut to sRGB is by using the ICC profile provided with the ASUS driver (that only works in color managed applications), or using the NovideosRGB utility. In both cases, the oversaturation problem is solved, but a new problema appears, it now looks washed out. You can say that someone just got used to the wide gamut, so then it finds sRGB to be washed out, but I don't think that is the case here. I have another monitor, IPS 98% sRGB, Acer VG240YU bmiipx. The colors don't look oversaturated at all, the red is real red, not wine, but everything looks richer and more alive. I think this is because of the already well known difference between IPS and VA. The only way for the VA to look almost as good as the IPS, is with the wide gamut inaccurate colors. I feel like all the numbers, 100% sRGB, 120% sRGB, 130% sRGB are just a scam on VA monitors. Thoughts on this?

I have a wide gamut 120% sRGB VA monitor, its driver comes with a wide gamut ICC profile that clamps the colors to sRGB in color managed applications. That makes sense. But I noticed that the same thing happens on another PC with my 98% sRGB IPS monitor, the difference from color managed applications to the desktop environment is much tinier than in the 120% sRGB monitor, but it exists, the color managed colors are slightly undersaturated. What is the explanation? How does an 98% sRGB monitor need this?

I recently upgraded my dual monitor setup to a new DELL G2422HS monitor, replacing my old DELL U2412M. When I first got the new monitor, I noticed that the colors were significantly different in tint from my old monitor. I tried to calibrate the colors using my phone screen and adjusting the settings, but I had trouble getting all the colors to match because I'm not familiar with all the settings. I also encountered issues with the whites appearing too yellow-green, red, or blue, even when adjusting the color settings one by one. The default modes didn't seem to work for me. I'm starting to get obsessed with the new monitor and I'm not sure if it was a good purchase or if I should return it. I got it for around 170-180$, and there was a cheaper option available (LG 24GQ50F-B) for 150-160$. Additionally, I noticed that the new monitor has a lot of gradient banding. To check if it was an issue with the image itself, I compared the two monitors. PS: Despite my efforts, the tint is still present to some extent, but now the issue is more with the colors feeling off, which I tried to fix by adjusting the contrast and brightness on my monitor. However, adjusting the settings through software like Windows calibration or the NVIDIA Control Panel only makes the gradient worse and causes banding. Gradient banding mainly occurs when I don't enable the "override to reference mode" option in the adjust desktop color settings tab within the NVIDIA Control Panel. However, without the ability to control the gamma, the whites, like letters, can sometimes have a green-yellow tint which I definitely do not want. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello good people, i've been trying to calibrate my LG C9 OLED with my Datacolor Spyer5Elite and the internal pattern generator with CalMAN Home for LG. However i found out that this colorimeter is not the right tool for the job. It can't read the near black luminance and thus the calibration makes everything near black much brighter than it should be with a slight purple tint. I guess it's calibrating everything under a certain luminance to the minimum it can measure. Also it measures the peak luminance at about 650 cd/m2 in a 10% window, which is much too dim for my paritcular model. I guess 650 nits is all it can measure? Now i want a colorimeter that can get the full potential out of my TV. But i don't want to spend over 700€ for a SpectraCal C6 HDR2000. Is there a more reasonable colorimeter that can still get everything out of my TV? Is the XRite i1Display Studio or ColorMunki enough or does it have similar boundries than the Spyder5? Do i need something higher end? Any suggestions?

I just picked up the Acer XF270HU and have never calibrated the colors of a monitor before. I found a collection of color profiles on TFT Central, but I don't know which one to use. Here are the color profiles: XF270HU_67Mon brightness_D65_160cd luminance.icm, XF270HU_79Mon brightness_D50_160cd luminance.icm, XF270HU_80Mon brightness_D65_250cd luminance.icm, XF270HU_100Mon brightness_D65_250cd luminance.icm, and XF270HU_100Mon brightness_D65_default luminance.icm. If anyone knows which profile I should use, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Hi All, Background: I have been having a issue for a few days with my displays colour and gamma calibration. I have an Nvidia GTX 1070 so a couple of days ago I thought I would try move from windows colour management to Nvidia. It was alright, but in the end I decided to leave the windows settings and clicked "Other applications control colour settings" from within the Nvidia control panel. It was fine at that point. Problem: Ever since having restarted, one of my two monitors has an excessively high gamma, and the other is alright, perhaps with a yellow tint. But when I go through the windows colour calibration the settings almost instantly change back (so I will drag the gamma slider down, and for half a second it will look okay and then something will cause the actual gamma on the screen to make it look just like it did previously, even though the slider is down). The same applies to the colour balance settings - they revert to the present uncalibrated values after half a second or so. Things I have tried: I have tried switching to Nvidia controlled colour, but something still changes it back, even when Nvidia is meant to be controlling it. The settings built into the monitor (the one I'm more concerned about is the LG D2342) do work but they can't control gamma. I've done a clean install of the Nvidia drivers, but that had no affect. I've unplugged and replugged the monitor. I've restarted the computer multiple times. I haven't tried uninstalling or disabling the monitor(s) from the device manager. The one I'm concerned about is just listed as Generic PnP Monitor so I guess there isn't anything to do there? Also the issue affects both monitors so I imagine it is something else, but I'm happy to try out any suggestions. The second monitor is a Dell being replaced by the place I work, and it is listed as Dell P2213 in device manager and does have a colour profile of it's own, I believe. Thank you for the help.

I just got an LG 24MP58 to accompany my Dell E2414H. The new one is an IPS panel and the other is a TN. The new panel looks great, except I'm noticing that the blacks are a bit blue, and become very noticeably blue in the corners where I'm looking at them at an angle. If I move my head so I'm looking at a corner straight on, the black there looks more normal, and it's bluer everywhere else. Is there a good way to fix this?

Hi guys!! So I got two Asus MX279H monitors and the problem is they seem to have different colors. If I were to put a blank notepad.exe right in the middle of the two screens, one of them is more "yellow-tint" than another. Their settings are the same. I also found out one of my monitors have blue light filter while the another one does not. Would this be the problem? I even played with the blue light filter and its the same thing :T one is more off than another. Please help!!! Would ICC profile play a role?

I bought a DataColor Spyder5 Express and calibrated all of my monitors and my laptop no problem but I need to calibrate a monitor that won't be connected to a computer regularly. I have a Decimator Dmon-Quad feeding some Acer monitor and I want to calibrate it using a laptop with and trial and error approach. However, since the laptop won't regularly be connected I need to calibrate it with the monitor's built in menus so it applies the color to whatever is plugged into that input. Is this at all possible?

Hey folks, I have a question to you about battery calibration, but I would like to tell you my back story - I would appreciate any insight. I have been using the aforementioned laptop for almost a year now (the i7 version, codename PH517-51). The battery inside is a 74 mWh Panasonic AP17C5P. After undervolting the machine (-150 mV on both the core and the cache), it performed (and is still performing) fantastically, but I observed that the wear level of the battery inside started to increase significantly. This was not a steady increase mind you, but it went down as follows: I bought the laptop in November 2018. From then until May 04 2019, the wear level increased by about 4%. Then, by 5th May, it jumped to around 14%. The next big jump was in August - by this time, the wear level increased by another 3%, but at the end of the month, all of a sudden I saw that the wear level jumped to 28%. I ran a battery report in windows about this as well, and checked the data in HWINFO64. The info was consistent, showing only 53,453 mWh full charge capacity instead of the designed capacity of 74,074 mWh. As the laptop uses hybrid power, taking the battery out was not an option. I tried calibrating the battery by charging it to full, then draining it to about 5% and letting the machine shut down. I left it turned off for around 5 hours, then turned it on, let it charge. It did this two times: after the first time, the wear level improved a bit, but after the second time, it became worse. You may see the Windows battery report below. The laptop is under warranty, so I took it to the retailer and requested a replacement battery. This is why you can see the original full charge capacity in the last row. Now, it would be time to calibrate my battery as it is brand new. The big question is, how should I do it? To be honest, I have read a lot of articles about battery calibration, but these are mostly quite inconsistent. In the shop, they told me to leave the laptop on power for 12 hours, then disconnect it from AC, and leave it on battery for 12 hours (let it shut down, etc.), then repeat this once more. Now this is something I haven't heard or read before. Also, I have read that there is a 330W power adapter available for this model. As this laptop draws power from the battery even when on power if it's needed, this sounds like a good option. However, as opposed to some users, I have never experienced my laptop discharging / charging when I was using it on AC, playing games. Do you guys think it would be useful / beneficial to get one of these adapters? I would be glad to have any input on the above stuff, please do not spare me any details that you might consider useful. In case I forgot to mention something, just holler. Thanks in advance. Cheers! Adam

So I found a very exciting deal in my area for a Spyder4TV HD. It was listed for only $40. Never been used and still kept inside the box. Being a video and photo editor, can I use this to calibrate my monitor? Found out a few articles that it COULD be used. But any other insights on this?

Hey everyone, first time posting here! I got myself the AOC AGON AG352UCG6 monitor. When trying to check its color performance using my Datacolor Spyder5Elite i get very bad (for VA-panels) contrast ratios. The measured contrast ratio is at around 950:1 when it should be more around 2500:1 to 2000:1 acording to the spec and most reviewers. I tried to play around with the OSD to set different color profiles or try out the presets like the S-RGB mode. The measured contrast ratio never got above 1000:1, which is really bad for VA-Panels i guess? Am i doing something wrong with the OSD settings or is something wrong with the hardware itself? I didnt notice it myself before because i never had a high-contrast Display before. Now i dont want to miss out on it because i paid 850€ for this monitor and obiously want to take advantage of all of its features... The monitor i had before was just a generic 27" 1080p 60Hz TN-Panel i bought for 150€ at the local electronics store. I hope anyone can help me or at least tell me whats wrong (or what i'm doing wrong)...

I've had this monitor for a few months and have noticed that hdr is way too dark in certain games and alot of the time standard mode looks better than hdr mode, I play on Xbox one x. I am also looking for a proper calibration for non hdr content because I can't really find anything. Games with the worst hdr issues are forza horizon 3 and 4 and destiny 2 and games that hdr works but is still a little dark is assassin's Creed orgins, farcry 5, sea of thieves, gears of war 4 and Witcher 3. I have found that some games are easier to calibrate than others such as far cry 5 and assassin's Creed what have a visual representation of what your changing but other games such as destiny 2 have no visual representation and end with me going in and out of the menu until it looks alright. Destiny 2 has some issues with brightness and some areas are that dark that you cannot see anything, the colors look really good though compared to standard, I don't know if this is the game or the monitor. When I was researching this monitor everything I looked at said hdr improved the image overall and boosted the brightness, so I am unsure if it's a problem with the software or the games or if the monitor just is not that good. If anyone knows what the problem could be it would be much appreciated if you were able to help me with it.

Hello there, I recently upgraded my PC, including switching from an NVIDIA GTX 970 to and AMD RX 5600XT. That also included a fresh install of Windows. So I had to reinstall the ICC colour profile in windows as well. On my old hardware this was not a problem, but now it won't work for some reason. When I try to add the ICC profile it just won't load. 2020.07.27-17.10.mp4 I already searched a lot online but there is no clear solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Moto X play dies at around 30% charge. I thought this was a battery problem hence replaced the battery but the problem still persists. I think this is a software problem as re calibration did not help. Also after the phone dies when I connect the charger to says charging 30% (the phone does not start charging from 0 indicating there is battery power left). My device is around 3 years old and is perfect except this battery issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated to fix the problem. The battery percentage graph looks like, the charge falling steadily until it reaches around 30% then a vertical drop to 0. Thanks in advance.
