Hi all Wondering if someone can help me. I got a Macbook 2017, running macOS Catalina 10.15, and Office 2019 Outlook v16.42. And for some reason I can't sync Google Calendar to Outlook Calendar... Has anyone else experienced this? (Sorry not the most tech savvy person in the world ) And is there a fix? Thanks in advance

Great idea for a video on taking back control of my data or securing my data. very much up LTT street. Okay I screwed up and my outlook account was hacked and while i got my money back i lost pretty much everything else. all my files including photos of my dead son. I lost not only my emails but also the email address's as well (thank god its not a work email, *shudder* my contacts and my calendar oh and my uni work(though i have no use for it now it still sucks) I managed to rescue some stuff as some of it was on different drives around my machines. anyway to the thing i need help on I have been bitten and now i want to control my data as best as possible. I want to house or at least have a downloaded copy of all my essentials. Here is a list of things I want to house on my home server i'm building with either an online copy or constant access to it. I prefer the idea that the main Information is housed on my server and there is a copy online which I can access anywhere. that way if something happens at home then i got a copy on something like google and a backup on my file storage. basicly i want 3 copies of all my information, Home, website and online backup. (eventually i intend to have a 4th copy in an offsite backup location like my parents house) Currently the list of important things I need help with are Email Access/storage: (also like the idea of emails coming dirrect to me instead of online service but I fear things like power cuts would make that less a good idea) Currently my domain is with godaddy and my hosting is with hostpapa and i can download a backup copy of my emails from there. I have my emails downloaded to thunderbird app. This gives me 2 copies and i can arrange to manualy download it for backup purposes. Is there a better solution? Contacts: Since I lost my contacts its been hard to function and i'm currently using the contacts CardDav that part of my hostpapa email. It currently downloads to thunderbird but I cant find a program thats free on android for my phone so I need a better solution. again i want to access my contacts on my pc, phone and have my normal backups. Calendar: well loosing my calendar data actually cost me money I missed out on so many appointments and software renewals that is not a joke. I'm currently using my wife's callendar but my email hostpapa also has CalDav which is supposed to be a calendar server i can access anywhere, except i only got it working on thunderbird. Tasks: I don't use tasks as much as I want simply because i have had so many problems accessing them on different devices quickly. as you may have noticed i user thunderbird alot and i love the app on my pc and steam deck(main portable device, I use the desktop mode primarily and it works great) however they are still working on a mobile app and have joined with another app developer but its going to be time before its all sorted. so please help me secure my data and files. I currently use a file storage site called Currys Cloud Backup. I think they use livedrive as there software (not sure) anyway i like the cost and the speed is okay, just wish it had a linux program. so to reiterate I need software that works on android, windows/linus(mac too for anyone else) a website backup like google/outlook (though out of principle i refuse to let micrososft have any more data of mine cause of the way they screwed me over) and server software for the server i'm building. (I havent decided what OS I'm going to use on the server yet, hell I'm not even sure if its going to be a raspberri pi or an old pc yet.) anyway any and all help would be greatly appreciated Kuzon

Hello All! Thanks for taking at look at this thread, I have a rather odd project I would like to embark on, but i'm sure most of you can relate. I have an Amazon Echo that I would like to begin using as a family calendar system. As i'm sure many of you are aware, adding events to the calendar is very easy, so I would like to have everyone on my family be able to just yell an event out the the Echo and then everyone knows what's happening very quickly. The problem is that when you make an event, It gets added to whatever person's calendar who is signed in at the time. In this case, my mother's. She uses a Gmail calendar which I think is the best solution here, but please let me know if you have other ideas. Anyways, I want any event that is created with the Echo to have a list of guests that are automatically invited via email. This way, any event that is important enough to yell at the Echo, will also be forwarded to everyone in the household. Doesn't sound too difficult, but I can't seem to find any products or guides that will help me achieve this. I think there is a way to add groups to google calendar, but if I did it this way, It would require me to manually go into the events that have been created and forward them, which defeats the purpose of this project. If I need to run some sort of Echo Bridge or server I have a VM ready to take the job. If anyone can provide a guide for me to do this I would greatly appreciate it. Even if the solution is still somehow staring me in the face, and I just don't see it yet... Thanks for the support!

Good evening everyone, I am looking for two desklets or widgets (or screenlets) for my elementOS system (debian). The first one should display a calendar (should support Google Calendar integration). The second widget I am looking for should display my RSS Feed. It is important to mention that Design/Look >> Functionality (except for Google Calendar Integration)! I want to create a desktop which is going to be displayed on a large TV. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Hi I just started school, but I need to create a calendar. But In outlook 2016 I can do a peridicity for only day of week (monday to friday) and with a 9 day peridicity. What I mean is: Day one is the 31 august 2016, but 9 days later (without the weekends) I will have day one again. Thanks a lot!

My calendar is showing non-english characters (i believe chinese?) even though my Country is set to United States and my Languages is also set to English (United States). Seems like the picture of the language also has these characters too. How do I fix this?

Hello! I've been searching all over for a calendar app (except Outlook for Android) that also displays my personal office 365/outlook.com calendar... Does anyone have any suggestions?? Any app that I install only shows my work exchange account and Google stuff... Thanks in advance!

Problem: Me and a co-worker share a space in a clinic and to avoid booking over each other we decided to use a shared google email and sync calendars so we can know when someone has booked a client. It is convenient because I can see both work events and personal ones in the same calendar. However since 2 weeks ago my calendar says "Sync Error" whenever I try to refresh it and I can't see my coworker`s bookings(actually I can see only some, but not all of them, wtf?). But every event I created, she can see all of them. I`m really not sure wheter the problem is on my end or on hers. I remember that at first she had a problem on her end with the calendar and couldn`t see my events but whatever she did, solved it. Now I am the one who cannot see some of hers(Why only some and not all of them?) My device: OnePlus 6T Her device: Iphone X Not sure what else is relevant, I`ll be more than willing to share other important information if necessary. Thank you in advance.

How do you add events to the calendar from the Joan video?

Okay so this has me driving nuts and this issue doesn't show up on Google. Ever since my last Windows update (v. 1803) the colors atacched to the different calendars from different accounts keep automatically changing. So if you take a look at my attachment, you'll see that the bottom calendar is blue and the one above is green. For months I've had it the other way around - the way I want it to be - but ever since the last windows update it keeps going back to this. Possibly relevant information: The calendars that keep switching colour are both exchange accounts from the same University The colours from the two gmail calendars never changed I have my Microsoft account linked as well but both calendars are disabled in the Win10 calendar app (like the contacts on my gmail account) When I manually put the colors back to the way I like them, they revert back to what they're like in the screenshot after closing the calendar app and reopening it or after a reboot. If anyone knows what to do and can help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have created a additional calendar on a mailbox using exchange 2013 and have shared it with another user. It shows up when the user is accessing it using outlook on a PC or OWA but when the user logs in to outlook for android it does not show the shared calendar. Let me know if I have missed out any relevant information. Thanks in Advance.

Is it possible to auto add Outlook Tasks to Outlook Cal? I want to be able to create a task and have it automatically added to the calendar when I give it a due date or time frame.

Hey there, so I was thinking of changing my calendar app on my phone(android) from the basic app and that made me curious on what the community is using for their phone or PC. Doesn't matter if android, apple, or windows. I'm just curious and if you add why you prefer that app it would be great.

I told cortana to remind me to join the battlefront beta on the 8th every day after the 8th. Problem is she is now going to remind me every day before the 8th and after the 8th for the rest of time every day. I looked EVERYWHERE and tried EVERYTHING, but I cant delete the reminder unless I click on the reminder and then EXIT BACK TO THE CALENDAR AND THEN PRESS DELETE! Please help.

Lovin' the forum V.2! But one question, Are things actually going to be added to the calendar? Right now it's just the WAN show.... seems a bit like a waste of space.. I think it would be cool if they added released videos to the calendar for LTT/CSF so if you want to go back and find a video you could look by date and have the link to the video right there. Maybe my idea is stupid but I'd like your input!

So after I updated to Windows 10 and another update after that, the mail app and the calendar app won't open. I tried searching online for a solution but since Windows 10 is pretty new I can't find anything relating to my problem. I'm thinking that last update may be the problem, but I'm not sure. Can anybody here help me?

I am trying to create a program where the user can create Alarms. When i try to set a variable to the current time in the constructor, everything is fine, but when i try to do it in a method, I get the compiler message: error: non-static variable hour cannot be referenced from a static context hour = now.get(Calendar.HOUR_OF_DAY);. Why is this? How can I compare the time the user inputs to the current time? I like to use the Windows Calendar app on my Surface 2. Naturally, it easily synced with the calendar app in my old Windows Phone 7.8 device. I have got a Nexus 5 a few days ago as my first Android device ever and I'm really pleased with it so far. Naturally, I would like to continue using the Microsoft Calendar so I was wondering if there is a way to make all the appointments from the Windows 8.1 app appear in the calendar app on the Nexus 5? Ideally, I would be able to create and edit appointments on both devices and have them appear on the other as well. Is this possible in any way? Thank you!

Okay so background, doing an internship under the CS department at my high school and my job is to make an app that takes the calendar we have on our website (its a Google Calendar) and basically use the Google Calendar API in order to display the same information but on an Android phone. Has anyone ever used the Google Calendar API for Android? Is their any good documentation on it? My original plan was to use Github/Phonegap and use the JS version of the API, but that is only supported in browsers. I have done some work in C# so Java isn't super insane for me but I am not expert. TL;DR: 1. Have you ever used the Google calendar API on Android? (What was your experience) 2. Do you know a good place where it is documented? (Have tried following the Google instructions, a little confused) 3. Is this not possible for whatever reason?(I am 99% sure its possible, and by possible, I mean doing this with the Gcalendar API into Android, no work around) Yes, I know that there is applications out there that make this easier by letting you import Google calendars, but I was given this job I didn't choose it. The interns last year couldn't figure any of it out so now I am here trying to do it.

Just wanted to check and see if any of you know if there are any good reliable notification programs. Something that gives me a pop up message on the screen. The simplest way of describing it would be to say that im looking for something like the calendar app for phones. I want something like this for my pc because my phone is mostly on vibrate/completely silent. And that makes it easy to miss the notifications.

I've got an issue with Office calendar syncing that defies my attempts to understand it. I am not very familiar with Exchange policy stuff, which I think may be the culprit here. I have a calendar owned by an Office 365 account that is shared with two email accounts, both of which are members of the same Exchange organization. The Exchange accounts are able to join the calendar just fine, and properly fetch all of the existing events. They can also add events which are then synced to the 365 account with no issues. However, they patently refuse to fetch new events when they are added by anyone else. There is no visible error, the calendar reports as having synced successfully, but the event doesn't appear. Neither do deleted events propagate. This issue appears in both web and desktop versions of Outlook (the desktop version is 365). I am at a loss here. I think there may be some Exchange policy issue? Notably, if I try to share a calendar from the Exchange-based accounts, I can't give the personal account edit access, because it's not in the same organization.
