So the last couple of days I’ve noticed this sight buzzing noise from my computer , most noticeable when loading into game lobbies such as warzone and battlefield 5 , now I’ve run stress tests on aida64 for the ram cpu and gpu none of which re create the noise , I’ve got down and had a listen to the computer to see if I can pinpoint the noise , my guess is power supply (Corsair cx650m which is new since January ) all temps in game are good so I’ve no real red flags as to what the problem may be ? CPU has a light over clock as well as the gpu but that was done about a month ago so I don’t know if that’s the culprit. I haven’t bumped up voltages or messed with power limits. ryzen 3 2200g @3.825 Ghz saphire pulse rx580 4gb at 1436mhz

I have a GIGABYTE G27QC 27" 165Hz 1440P Curved Gaming Monitor, 2560 x 1440 VA 1500R Display. For some reason, whenever it is turned on it makes a buzzing noise and it's super distracting. I had the same problem on another monitor of mine. The things these two had in common was that they were powered by the standard power cable not by a barrel plug. On a monitor that I have that is powered by a barrel plug with an external power supply there is no buzzing noise. Because of this I think the buzzing noise is coming from the internal power supply in the monitor. Thoughts on how this can be fixed?

So, I use the JBL Go using Bluetooth, I use it for both microphone and speaker. When I pair it with my pc (through dongle) It creates 2 devices one called "JBL stereo" and "JBL Hands Free audio." When I use its microphone the "JBL stereo" stops out putting audio and when I switch to JBL Hands Free audio the audio works but it lower quality. Recently when ever I use my microphone from my portable speaker ( i.e JBL Go) The audio doesn't come from any of the two devices ( i.e JBL Hands Free audio and JBL stereo) it doesn't produce any audio output but produces a very disturbing buzzing sound when ever I play videos and audios. If you have any solution and suggestion for it I'd be glad to hear it. Sorry If my English is bad.

Hello, I guess my hope of posting - is to make sure PC is safe to use. I have checked similar topics, which is similar: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1412987-strange-noise-from-the-gpu-area-buzzing/#comment-15270020 https://linustechtips.com/topic/1143166-buzzing-noise-coming-from-the-case/#comment-13197945 My questions: maybe for starters need some confirmation - IS that a coil whine? any advise on how to fix that? It appeared today, but PC was used with current parts, for at two months. and if it's coil whine - can it be related to the new games/software installed? It was the only thing that changed Problem and troubleshooting steps: When PC is on higher load - somewhere from the are between CPU and GPU buzzing noise started appearing. The noise itself: Recording consists of three parts: 0) Started random high demanding game (e.g. "Red dead redemption", new "Tower of Fantasy", "Assassins Valhalla") 1) Buzz started, it is constant. 2) Alt-tab'ed and started anything to get windows account control pop-up. The noise becomes more like "clicking". 3) Closed pop-up - back to initial noise. From task manager, it looks like utilization matches the change of noise: For GPU I was a bit late to grab a screenshot, but also can see when noise changes in the video: Then I have tried to run CPU and GPU benchmarks simultaneously: > when only CPU running 100% - no noise > when only GPU or CPU and GPU running, both 100% - lower noise, like half of it And I'm pretty sure sound is not coming from the PSU - PSU is in bottom compartment, and it can be heard coming out of top of the PC case. When opened - sound is somewhere in the middle. And as tested with WIndows prompt - it immediatelly reacts, so I don't think it is some kind of vibration resonanse. And yes, "manually" tested all the coolers, nope, not them. PC parts: BE QUIET STRAIGHT POWER 11 1000W Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS POWERCOLOR Devil RX 6900XT AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Fractal Design Meshify C

Anybody hear this sound coming from their computer? It sounds like a constant electrical buzz thats a lot louder than coil whine. its hard to tell but i think its coming from the psu. I actually replaced the PSU and it was ok for a bit, but the noise came back. When i tip the pc over on its side the noise goes away for a bit but comes back. Could somebody help me figure out whats causing this annoying noise? Hi everybody, I have a Trust GXT 340 which worked perfectly fine until today. The problem is that it works fine for about 10 seconds and then it starts buzzing and not just a small annoying sound, it's an enomous buzz. After the buzzing stops the mic doesn't work anymore. The only thing the mic picks up is the buzzing. Does anyone have an idea if this is fixable? Thank you in advance

So this has been happening for a while now, maybe once or twice a week. But recently its becoming much more frequent, with me suffering from daily crashes. Usually the entire PC freezes with a buzzing sound (sometimes quiet, sometimes so obnoxiously loud I have to take off my headphones) and won't respond to anything except a force shutdown by holding down the power button. Occasionally the system will randomly restart, and once or twice I have encountered the bsod "irql_not_less_or_equal" About 3 months ago I had to replace one of my memory sticks because that was acting up and causing errors. The crashes stopped for a while after that but have come back in full force in the past couple of weeks. Specs: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Motherboard Intel 6600k overclocked to 4.2Ghz (The crashes still happen even when BIOS is set to defaults) Asus Strix GTX 980 (No overclocking) - never exceeds 70 degrees C while under load and the fans are usually at about 40% Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM HDD 120GB Kingston SSD with windows 10 and the game that I both play the most and when crashes happen the most- World of Tanks installed. (Also chrome and a couple of other programs) Some rip off Hyper 212 cooler CX750M PSU (About 2 months old) 16GB of basic Crucial memory (2 sticks in A2 and B2) The system isn't even a year old yet so I am really lost as to whats wrong with it. After looking through several forums, I have tried memtest multiple times (No errors), disabling audio drivers, that driver stress test thing thats in windows. The system doesn't usually crash when doing very low intensity tasks such as browsing and "Simpler" or older games like FTL or Morrowind. But I have noticed it crashes more frequently when in game and with windows media player open. I am open to any suggestions and would really appreciate any and all help. I am new to forums so apologies if this is the wrong place!

So I just bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 598 SE's, after plugging them into the headphones jack on the back of my mobo I realize I can hear a quiet buzzing noise in the background when I play games. This only happens when I start up a game like PUBG or CSGO, I haven't tried others yet. I have it plugged into the green audio jack on the back of my mobo, so it is the right jack. When I try to plug it into different audio jacks it doesn't make that noise anymore but sounds terrible. The green port is the only one that makes this buzzing sound and it only happens when I have a game running. Even if I have my headphones volume at 0% it still makes the buzzing sound, even while alt tabbed. I'm confused and a little pissed as I just bought these things after my old Astros failed on me.

I got a Sound Blaster Audigy RX a few months ago, and for at least a month now I've been getting audio with buzzing sounds. I'm not exactly sure what triggers it. Sometimes it happens when I tab out of a video game, seek to a different time in a video I'm streaming, or let my computer fall asleep by itself. If it happens when I'm streaming a video, it'll go away if I seek back to before where the buzzing started. Otherwise, I have to restart my computer for it to go away. Here's an example of what it sounds like (most audible starting at 0:11) Here's what I've tried: Unplugging & re-plugging speakers back in Plugging in my headphones (still buzzing, so it's not the speakers' fault) Plugging in speakers to the front panel audio jack Removing the sound card and putting it back in Dusting out the audio jack The buzzing can't be heard in screen captures, so I'd assume that means it's a hardware rather than software problem. Is there anything else I should try before using my limited warranty to get it replaced?

Describe your problem. List any error messages and symptoms. Be descriptive. The PC makes a weird buzzing noise when there's an input such as scrolling or pressing a key on the keyboard. The noise is not too loud, but in an empty and quiet room you can easily hear it. It also buzzes when under load sometimes. Such as running a game or opening an application which I found to be normal. But just when simply scrolling through reddit, it buzzes as I'm scrolling. If I stop scrolling, it stops buzzing. Here is the noise it makes: https://clyp.it/sceboftw Make sure to listen with headphones because the sound is muffled here and try to ignore the fans spinning noise. Starts around 0:05 then as you can hear me pressing a button on the keyboard, the noise starts. If I release a button, the noise stops. List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem. I checked if everything is plugged in correctly. I tried unplugging my headset, mouse, keyboard, ethernet cable and turning off my monitor. I checked the temperatures while running Cinebench, everything was normal. ~60°C on CPU scoring 4734, all cores running at ~4GHz. Post relevant photos of build/parts here. https://imgur.com/a/IeSMXPV Provide any additional details you wish below. Could this be GPU coil whine? The noise also happens when the GPU isn't under heavy load and fans are not turning (low temperatures). I mostly see this when gaming. It will be running smoothly and then all of a sudden the screen completely freezes and a loud buzzing sound plays in my headphones. Sometimes it's after 15 minutes, other times it's after an hour or so of playing. The only way I can get it to stop is holding down the power button. Here are my specs: Windows 10 (latest version) Intel 6600k Asus Z-170 Pro Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4 3000 MHz EVGA GTX 970 EVGA SuperNova GS 650W I've noticed it crash while playing PUBG and Fortnite most recently, but really any fairly graphically intensive game will have the same result. Only time I saw it happen not related to gaming was the other night on a Google Hangouts call. I wasn't running many programs or anything, but the same thing happened. Here's what I've tried: Made sure I have the latest version of Windows 10 installed Updated graphics card drivers Ran Memtest86 -- results were normal Ran a few CPU/GPU benchmark/stress tests (Cinebench, Unigine) and monitored temps of CPU/GPU -- GPU only got up to 79 C and CPU was mid-60s C Monitored temps while playing Fortnite -- temps similar to benchmark/stress tests I'm honestly out of ideas at this point other than trying to reseat GPU, CPU, RAM, etc. and see if that improves. Anyone have any idea as to what might be causing this?

Hi all. A while ago I re installed one of my case fans. I then heard a buzzing noise, thinking that it was dieing, I replaced it and the sound continues. It's exhaust and the sound goes away if I slow it down enough on speed fan. I do have a theory though. When I reinstalled my original pc fan I turned it around (instead of the wire connecting to the motherboard peeking out from the bottom, I turned it so it peeks from the top) and I installed my new one this way too. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! PS: I have a computer shop near me, (NCIX) do you think I could give it over to them to have a looksie?

Now I bought a new headset more exacly the kingston hyperx cloud II. But shortly after I startet experiencing a buzzing sound. I had encounter this once before in my old headset not long before I bought my new one. I tried to plug in my old headset because had had enough but the buzzing was still there. I think the problem is EMI so what I whant is help whith fixing it and if I need to get new parts to my pc or if its another way. And before anyone asks I have put the usb in both back and front. EDIT Now with a bit of testing I have concluded that it's problebly not emi seeing as it's not consten (the buzzing only occures when playing a sound not when idle) so is it the onboard audio? But the problem then is it comes with a external usb "sound card". The external "sound card is problebly only for 7.1 surround (I woud guess). So is the onboard still active? Will buying a sound card fix the problem? current specs windows 8 64bit motherboard msi p75ma-p45 ram 8gb 1333mhz cpu i7-3770k gpu evga 980 sc acx2.0 powersupply no idé exept its 550w

Both of the crashes were while i was gaming. My monitor simply lost signal, my headset was buzzing (pretty loudly), and my computer was still (on), lights and fans and everything still going. Had do hold down the power button to shut it off, restarted, choose "start windows normally", and everything is fine, execpt for when it crashed again. The first crash was while I was playing Orcs Must Die 2, the second crash was while I was playing Alan Wake. After the first crash i reset my processor back to stock speeds (i had overclocked it recently, ran prime95 for hours to test it), after the second crash I took off the memory overclock on my GPU (MSI Afterburner), and then I decided to post in the forum, so here I am. If anyone knows what this might be or what I can do to fix it, please help me out. Nothing is damaged as far as I can tell, so i am not very worried, but it sure is annoying when I have to reboot in the middle of a game. MSI GTX 660 Ti PE/OC , Up to date drivers 8gb 1600mhz ram i5 3570k stock speeds for now (was running at 4.0 ghz) both games were running off of steam Hopefully i gave enough information, thanks to anybody who can help out.

A few days ago, I tried to plug in my headphones into the front panel headphone jack on my Corsair 600T and it felt a little bit different while I was plugging it in (if that makes sense). There didn't seem to be an issue though, until I started listening to some music. Now whenever I plug in headphones into the port, I either: 1) Get an annoying buzzing sound on the left side but there's no audio output on either side unless I fiddle with the connection a little bit (turning the headphone connector a little or slightly loosening the connection) 2) Get an annoying buzzing sound on the left side and the right side works fine. If I fiddle around with the connection I can get both sides to work however that buzzing sound on one side is still persistent. I know it's not my headphones because they work fine on my phone and I had the same issue when I tested another pair of headphones. Ever since this issue started, when I do plug in my headphones, this little box pops up: ... Which takes me to the microphone properties, even though I'm plugging in headphones into the headphone port: I'm not too sure about how to go about fixing this issue, so any help is appreciated! Thanks.
