So at the moment I have an a320m s2h with a Ryzen 5 2600 and a rx 5700xt, with 16gb ddr4 2666. I am saving up and nearly ready to upgrade my cpu and motherboard. I had in mind a ryzen 7 3700x (as 3800x doesn’t seem to be worth it) and I want to upgrade the motherboard. Should I go for an x570 for the pcie 4 support for my graphics card or should I get a b450. Keep in mind that I may upgrade my memory to 4x8gb ddr4 at a higher clock speed since it’s a 3rd gen ryzen. Thanks guys

I am looking for a good gaming pc that i don't have to build and wont blow a hole in my wallet. I found one that seems to have all the power i need and the price is what i was hoping to pay (i could pay 750 but i was hoping not to) here it is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HNBLHAA/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza But as a first time buyer of something this strong i was wondering if there was a better option that i just didn't see searching. so i came here to ask, Is this a good Pre-built pc? and if not, what is? Also i already have a monitor to use but it only supports VGA but this pc docent, i can buy a new monitor but if it supports vga its just a bonus. Keep in mind i'm using this for noting but gaming. i don't think i need a i7 or something like that.

So after a lot of research I finally know what kind of a PC I wan't and need. But the missing Part of the puzzel, is a suiting case. I looked at the classics: H440, R5, 780T, 760T, enthoo pro, enthoo luxe, ..., even Lian Li and that sort of manufactures! It's not like I have espicially difficult to satifie expections from a Case. There just too many options. So I reached out to this awesome Community again, to plead them for help. Thank you for hopefully helpful responds, and props for being such a great community. Here are my needs: -Atx-Case -hopefully a 120mm Radiotar, top or front doesn't matter -Best a midtower, 60mm height ,but if not ok as well -red an black themed build, something like 760t would be awesome -flexibility, modular ODD HDD cages ... -min. 2 SSD mounts, min." HDD cages -Window -good build quality -budget 100-220 USD -at least medium cable manegement, first build -if possible USB 3.0 ports My Build: -i7 6700K 360 -Asus VIII maximus hero 220 -something like h60 or h100 50 or 100 -ax860 170 -2x8gb corsair domintor platinum 2666 160 -MSI GTX 980Ti 650 -Samsung 850 evo 500gb 170 -seagate barracuda 3tb 80 -No monitor yet -Case: this what I'm asking for -http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fbfVpg -For any questions or opinions just leave a comment

Hey guys Not sure if this is the right area to post this but I'm looking to buy a new laptop for 800 Australian dollars, 600ish USD. I'm pretty good at desktops but my laptop knowledge is little to none. I just need a decent rig for basic gaming; minecraft and portal and what not. I don't care about HDD speeds as I'll likely pop an SSD in there, touch functionality doesn't really interest me and I don't really care how thin it is. I just need a powerhouse for the money. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks Eley

I thought I might make a buyer's guide to put in my signature to help out newbies. I would like this to get into the guides catalog but I don't think that'll happen. Warning, this thing is about 2000 words long. CPU: Is it overclockable? Will it bottleneck your GPU? Explanation: Does it have hyper-threading? Explanation: How many cores does it have? Explanation: The only other thing you should look for is just raw performance, is it overkill? Or is it not good enough? Cooling: MOTHERBOARD: MEMORY (RAM): STORAGE: GPU PSU: CASE: MONITOR:

I have recently been putting together a list of parts I plan on making my first gaming computer with, only thing I have left to finalize is the gpu. I can't decide whether I should do with the 780 or spend the extra $200 (give or take a bit) and get the 780ti, both being EVGA's super-clocked version with the acx cooler. Anyone willing to share there thoughts? PS: Here's the two gpu's in question on newegg.ca http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=03G-P4-3784-KR&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1%7C14-487-003%5E14-487-003-TS%2C14-130-951%5E14-130-951-TS&percm=14-130-951%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24

So my trusty old 2nd monitor died today. Sad times. I've not had to buy a new monitor for years and I've not kept up with modern offerings. Trying to look myself I'm totally overloaded with info. What I need: Minimum 24 inches Would like a min res of 2560x1600 Will mainly be attached to a Macbook Pro late 2013 Will also be attached to Win 8.1 machine with an Asus 660 Ti (has a full sized display port v1.2) & HDMI port Used mainly for photo work, media playback and some gaming on the Windows machine Not asking for much am I? Can anyone offer some suggestions or have had a really good experience with a monitor they own? Thanks!
