Hello. So I'm adding new case for my PC my first gaming case something standard simple regular. Well I was stalling my fans which were very weird they had the power connector and then they had like a two pin thing that didn't connect with anything in my motherboard. The problem came when I was stalling my master cooler liquid cooling system not 240 mm radiator. I finished connecting everything turned on the PC without making my cable management noticed that I didn't place the fans the correct way so I had to make changes, disconnect everything and put everything back in and took me the whole day because after I connect everything back it wasn't turning on the screen or turning on properly. I believe I burnt everything because The Cooler Master AI old I purchased brings a little controller which I connect everything as the tutorials in YouTube but didn't change the left the LEDs for some reason. So my dumb head thought okay my motherboard has a LED header so I assume the Le header that is on the controller must be compatible with the one in my motherboard so I connected and all the sudden it smelled burnt. I tried to connect the motherboard again I try with another CPU I tried the same CPU with another motherboard vice versa I managed to have it turned on with my old motherboard and then when I try to build everything again with my old motherboard it didn't work anyways I'm not sure if it has to do with the power supply or anything because I tried my old motherboard with the same ram same graphics card same everything and it did work and then it didn't Motherboard: Tuf z390 plus wifi Ram: 16gb Powe supply: 500w GPU: rx570 Pls help. Things i tried. -Reset bios by Removing the CMOS battery -Clear CMOS jumper -Used a different RAM -Unplug and plugged everything over and over. -Tried without GPU since my cpu have intergrade graphics

Hello Community, I wanted to share a recent experience and seek your thoughts. I've encountered a potentially serious issue with my RTX 4090. My CableMod 12 Pin Angled Adapter, correctly installed with the latch firmly clicked in, unexpectedly burned out. This has raised significant safety concerns for me. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this adapter or the RTX 4090? Any insights or advice on how to address this issue would be greatly appreciated. I'm also curious if this is a known problem within the community. Thanks in advance for your input!

I feel like I'm being too extra careful for no reason, but I'd like to confirm with you guys, I'm doing the following: Enabled a bunch of OLED care options Pixel cleaning once a day Turn off the TV if I don't plan to use it for over 5 minutes Turn it off for like 15 minutes after a few hours of usage Am I being over the top or is this the type of stuff that I should do? I just don't want burn-in

I have the following screen and it easily burns stuff. After one hour i have marks of images on my screen. If i watch flashy stuff (.sfw flash etc) the monitor keeps actually flashing at the part where i played the flashy flash file. Its only temporary and since it also keeps flashing i think its more of a chip issue not an actual burning, as if i keep the monitor unplugged so the stuff inside unloads its back to normal again.

I got a Samsung LC32JG50QQNZA Series Curved 32" which is just a little over 2 years old (and therefore, out of warranty). It's connected to a EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Black Gaming GPU along with two other monitors, one connected to HDMI and another connected to another DP. I had just gotten back from a trip, and I turned on my shutdown computer only to see the Samsung monitor glitchy up, showing a scuffed version of the image, and then slowly blacking out with lines and other things giving it a bit of a "burn" effect. Image: https://i.imgur.com/o9DMqEK.png (You can see some of the wallpaper in the upper part of the monitor.) However, when I switched inputs to HDMI, it seems like everything is fine, the monitor shows the HDMI output great. Albeit, now without the 144 hz. For the life of me, I have not figured out what went wrong with my displayport. Here's what I've done so far: -Unplugged it from the power, and plugged it back in. -Used a different Displayport Cable -Plugged Monitor into alternative Displayport (which my other monitor was using without any problem). -Switching between Displayport Version 1.1 and 1.2 (1.1 resulted in it not detecting a signal). Other monitors seem to be doing well, so I don't think it's a GPU issue. Is the Displayport to this monitor finished? Should I be shopping for a new one now? Or is there something else I can try before throwing my wallet at another monitor?

Hello, As we already know that oled displays suffer from burn in therefore I am asking how bad is your oled display burn in after all these years. Surprisingly My Galaxy J2 which is almost 6 years old is still spotless except some weird yellow tint while displaying gray and other darker colors

DVD disc has just 75 minutes of total track length. Even when I try burning tracks that correspond to the total length of 75 minutes I get an error that says "the selected files/tracks can only be burned to a cd". I opted for DVDs as the total size of those tracks is 1.9 GBs. Tried PowerISO, AnyISO and even Windows Media player with no success. Right now I have 76 FLAC tracks (228 minutes of audio) that I want to burn on a single disc. I have a CD/DVD RW drive in my laptop. Any help ?

So, since a while back my pc is having an issue. It occurs everytime in the morning when I want to turn on my pc, what happens is this: when i press the on button for the first time of the day, my pc doest turn on, only the ethernet light does. Then I hold my power button until the ligbt goes off. I then press the button one more time and then my pc turns on normally. But today my pretty much froze completely, making me have to turn on/off again However, this time it didnt turn on for a long time. After a while I even opened it up, checked all the cables and ports, yet everything seemed fine, so i put it back together, all of a sudden it turned on again. Now a couple hours later it froze again, yet i cant get it to turn on this time. After trying unplugging, turning on/off, nothing worked What can I do/try? I added a sc of all my parts

Source - http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/15/14938788/headphones-explosion-airplane-sleeping-woman After the fiasco with the Note 7 and reports of iPhones exploding now we have this - exploding headphones... The incident occurred almost a month ago, but it only now that the media reports on it. The brand of the headphones was not released as, stated in the article, according to the ATSB "it was not really important." Still, no permanent harm was caused to the passenger who was wearing the headphones when they exploded, which is a good thing. Nevertheless, judging by the burn marks on that poor woman's face, they must have been an over the ear kind and resting on her neck and shoulders when the explosion happaned.

Hello guys, Today is a sad day.. My 2.5 year old 970 sparked and I'm scared of running it in my PC again. So here's what happened: I was on BF1, in the pre-game where quite a bit of power is drawn by the card, then my PC suddenly shuts off. That I assume was the short-circuit protection built into either my PSU or the motherboard. I thought it was a power cut but a second later my PC turns back on and a spark comes flying out of the back of the GPU. The GPU was working fine though, it booted into the login menu for Win10 again, no issues with the image but at which point I was sniffing around trying to smell burning and indeed I did.. I turned my PC off at that point and took the GPU out and it seems like some mosquito flew into my PC at night or something and got caught in between the backplate and one of the ceramic filters on the back of the card. I took some pictures that you'll find attached with this post after removing the backplate to get a better look at what happened. What seems to have happened is that the solder on one end of the component melted due to the sparking. I don't know if I should replace it or if it's even safe to turn the PC on with it at all. I need your advice. Should I replace the card or can I still use it? Thanks for any answers. Pictures on Drive : https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6nULn-5opImR3pXRlFfdDNXaDQ

Hi all!I woken up with my pc turned off, it was turned on idle while I went to sleep as I don't turn it off over night. When I tried to turn it on, it won't boot up. I tried to unplug the power cord and tried it again to be greeted with a single click sound from the psu.I started taking it apart and clean it as it been a while, but when I tried to boot it up it still giving me same click noise from the psu. So I decided to test each component one by one, started by removing the GPU, and volva it starting to boot! So the gpu the issue? Which what I was thinking until I start smelling faint smell of burning electric coming from the psu.The psu also refuse to boot if I try to attach this particular white head I don't know what it call but I will include a picture below. Also the pictures of this psu that came with the computer prebuilt. I don't know what brand is it and it seem to be shaped to use with this computer only. But yeah mainly if I plug in gpu = no boot, just clickSame with plug in the white head, with or without gpuAnd burning smell if I detach both to let it boot.My specs areNvidia gtx 780Intel i7 4770k cpuX2 croisar 8gb ram120gb intel ssd1tb western digital hd500w 80 gold plus psu idk what brand Nzxt kraken x40 liquid cooling for the cpuMSI 87I motherboard The pc is made by ibuypower Revolt R770To be honest I regret the purchas because of the tiny cramped built of the case and lack of space for expansion. I would try to see if this is a opportunity to replace the case and others thing to make it a regular sized pc.But first I want to find out which is the faulty part. My psu or gpu or the motherboard? And what is to replace and buy. I don't have a lot of money due to recent cancer treatment but as long as it under $200 or so.Please help! I'd love to also get some recommendation on part to replace such as case and psu. Thank you all very much in advance!! I'd be going to fry's electronics later but I'm not sure what to even do, considering idk if they sell these shuttle shaped psu or I'd I need to replace the case too for a proper psu. I've recently ordered the "Audio-Technica ath-m40x" and I was wondering if burning in your headphones was actually needed since I've seen many audiophiles burn in their headphones before using them. Is it true you need to burn in your headphones for optimal sound quality?

HELP!!! So a while back I made a home entertainment pc and just recently it got very slow, to the point where it would just freeze. I didn't think anything of it but then it just stoped working, the fans spin up for the CPU and video card and the LED lights up in the front but no video output. So I decided to take it apart and check if one of the components are unplugged or damaged and I checked everything and they seem fine until I got to my CPU... the socket itself seems fine but the CPU has some of the pads burnt, I've used everything at stock speeds haven't overclocked and I've never had a problem with thermals.. what could have happened? These are the parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vxwmFd

Hey all, During gaming, my rig suddenly died followed by a smell of burned electronics. Always a great sign. I've identified that my GPU caused the smell, but I got my rig to boot properly using the integrated graphics after a BIOS reset. My question is, what the heck caused it to short/burn like that? Is my PSU at fault here? Can a dust buildup cause this? Is there any way to test this at home? I don't want to replace the GPU before I know it won't happen again. Specs: MoBo - AsRock Z87 Extreme4GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX780 SC (stock)CPU - i5-4670K (OC to 3.7)PSU - Corsair CS750MRAM - 4x4GB Corsair vengeance DDR3Storage - 1x Barracuda HDD 2TB, 2x SSD (1 for windows, 1 for games)The entire build is 5.5 years old, one of the SSDs and 2 sticks of RAM are newer. Not that that matters probably.

Hi all. I purchased a used gaming computer for pretty cheap. Inside there was an Asrock Z68 Pro 3 board with an i5 2500k, 8GB of Corsair 1600MHz RAM, an EVGA GTX 780 and a 680W Psu. The computer ran fine when i tested it before I bought it. When I brought it homr it fired up right away without any problems aswell. Since it had no HDD or SSD I couldnt get into an OS, which is fine by me because I checked everything out in the BIOS. Now I took it apart to clean it up and saw a burnt chip above the PCI-E 16x slot. Im not sure exactly what its used for but I don't believe its for anything important, since the board works perfectly. I haven't tested it in anything heavier than just browsing around and I am afraid to do so because of this. I'm scared about it shorting out or something like that when I try to run a heavier task like a game. If any of you know what that chip actually does I would appreciate it! Hello guys, Long story short, last wednesday I was playing BF1 for like 10 minutes when my pc straight shut down. Tried to reboot but it wouldn't. After 15 minutes it finally boot, logged in and check the temp, everything was fine. (CPU 35°C/GPU 33°C) 5/10 minutes into the session, the screen went black and half a sec later, I heard a little "pop" sound and a strong smell of burnt. In an other post I actually thought it was the PSU, so I returned my EVGA 650GQ and my bother in-law lended me an other PSU to test my system and that's when I figured out it was the GPU. First boot with the new psu, the fan spins for half a sec then nothing would happen if I pressed the power button again. So I unplug the gpu and tried to boot, it did. So I went grab an old GTX460 and the system booted into the bios normaly whatsoever. After close inspection of the gpu's pcb, I found some burnt spots. But to this day I still have no clue why my gpu burnt all of a sudden.. The GPU was a GTX 980 Windforce 3X OC from Gigabyte. My dad bought it when it first came out and gave it me to since he bought a 1080Ti. So it's not under warranty anymore. I OC'd the card with afterburner, do you think I did something wrong ? I raised the power limit to the max, +134mhz on the core and +100/150mhz on the memory (but I think it was +100), did not touch the voltage and the temp were great imo. In 2560x1080p high preset in BF1 the card was around 68/74 °C depending on ambient room temp. (BF1 was the most demanding game I played, I played Heroes of the Storm or Diablo as well but it was defenitly not pushing hard on the gpu.) The system is a Ryzen 2600, Dark Rock 4, X470 F-Gaming (bios set to perfomance mode), 2x8Go Ripjaws V 3200Mhz ("xmp" profil enabled), GTX980, 2HHD & 1 SSD and EVGA 650GQ as power supply. 4x140mm + 1x120mm fans for airflow inside a Phanteks P400. If I forget to mention some data please let me know, also, for the same price I can either have a Seasonic Focus+ 650W (platinum) or a Focus 750W (gold). What do you think would be best, I'm planning to buy either a Vega 56 or 1070Ti around Christmas. Thank for reading. ?

Hello, I have an album that has extra tracks on a bonus DVD. Is there a way to get to the songs off the DVD as a music file like .mp3 or .flac? The video is just the title of the song and I want to be able to play them as a normal track with the rest of the album.

Hi Let's say there are 3 computers connected to a LAN, PC #1 has a DVD drive, and PC #2 and #3 want to access that DVD drive. I'm currently using the default Windows sharing options and it works, the problem is I have to set the folder permissions and enable the share option every time a new DVD is loaded so I was looking for something to make that share permanent and avoid doing the config every time I insert a disc. Plus I'd like to know if there's a way to burn DVDs without having to switch the drive between computers every time someone wants to burn, with free software if it's possible... and "just buy 2 other drives" isn't possible right now. Thanks in advance
