So in armoury crate i put fans on silent and out of nowhere my pc shut completely off and doesnt get power anymore. I checked thr PSU switch and i think its the psu thars damaged. (If i would get power the mainboard rgb logo and gpu led should be seen.) But it didnt. PSU: Gigabyte GIGABYTE GP-UD1000GM PG5 1000W 80+ Gold Rev 2.0 I bought a new psu and im waiting to look if its truly the problem. I dont think it was a short circuit somwhere because there wss nothing metal touching my pc or something. My Room electricity worked too. What do you guys think could be the reason? Do you think my other components ciuld be damaged too? PC (wizhout psu): - aSUS Rog Strix B760-F WiFi -Geforce RTX 3070ti -Intel i7 12700k -Corsair Veangeance Ram 2x16gb DDR5

I want to build a pc but have no clue what parts I should get. I made these lists on PC Part Picker showing the minimum and maximum I'd want, but need help choosing something in the middle. Minimum: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/LukeH2008/saved/#view=FTGt7P Maximum: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/LukeH2008/saved/#view=jYkRK8 Ideally I'd want either the g7 or the 4k monitor. I don't completely know what my budget is (Not $4000 though), but I'd like to do some video editing and maybe some streaming. I play KSP (with a lot of visual mods such as SVE, Scatterer, Parralax, Kopernicus, and Planetshine), Subnautica, Rocket League, and I would like to play Valorant and Minecraft. What components should I get?

I truly want to build my own pc, but I must get approval from my parents before doing something. My dad approves of it, but my mom just doesn't understand. She said that her all-in-one pc was exactly the same to my brother's x99 system he built. I have trouble talking to her when she disagrees with me, so how's an easy way for me to explain to her that building a pc is better than buying a prebuilt. Also, she also said prebuilt pcs are cheaper, and it's sometimes true, but usually without a gpu. She also probably does not understand compnents so I can't just say that "the system that I'm building as this much more ram" or "this graphics card has blank that lets it be better than a prebuilt" so... yeah.

I'm going to be building a new pc. I've been buying components gradually over the past few weeks because I'm poor and can't buy everything all at once. The main uses for this computer will be gaming, recording and editing. I used to do video editing on a 400 dell laptop so anything is an upgrade. So far I have a corsair 100r case (windowed), msi b250 pc mate motherboard, corsair vengeance 8gb (2x4) ram, and an i5 6500 cpu. I'd like to not spend more than 70 on a hard drive. Should I get a wd black 1tb, or blue 2tb? What's the best power supply type/brand? I want a gforce gxt 1060, should I get the 3gb or the 6gb? And other advice is appreciated! Soundcards, capture cards, ect? Thanks all, Cleedus777

I'm honestly not sure if this is where I should post this question so I'm gonna put it here. I'm looking for a gaming PC and I found this on PCCG: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/36964/pccg-predator-470-gaming-system-red System Components: CPU: Intel Core i5 6400 Motherboard: MSI B150M Bazooka Motherboard Graphics: XFX Radeon RX 470 RS Black Edition 4GB Memory: Crucial CT4G4DFS8213 2133MHz DDR4 (2x4GB) Solid State Drive: Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB SSD Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003 Case: Aerocool XPredator Cube Mini Tower Red Power Supply: Be Quiet! Pure Power 9 500W Power Supply Additional Lighting: PCCG LED Strip Red 30cm Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home USB Flash Drive The specs are close to what I want except for RAM which I would prefer to be 16GB and I need WiFi since it will be nowhere near my router for Ethernet. The question I have are that I have close to no idea about GPU's so is this good (as well as the other parts) and if not should I buy the parts separately and build it myself for anything cheaper.

Hi, I'm building a PC and need parts. (True story ) Should i wait till christmas or are they cheaper now? What are your experiences in pricing before/after christmas for a specific part? (e.g buying a case now, on black friday or new year) Got my 2 monitor ~40€ cheaper cause package is damaged. But for a new pc used parts or slightly damaged are off limit, so no outlet or rebuilt shop. PS: No interest in maybe slightly better performance/tech, money rules this build Thanks for your replys

Ok.... WTF man, I mean come on all I want is a PC (personal is the important part as I share my PC with my brothers so I want to get one for myself...SHARING IS NOT an OPTION) over the summer and doesn't life suck... I want it with a youtube setup for under 1,500 Dollars I don't have anything(all PC parts, monitor, peripherals, and Elgato and blue snowball)... So the important part is I heard that pairing an i5 6600K with a GTX 1080 (I wish it was a 1070 but WTF miners..) so anyway I heard that 1080 will be bottlenecked by the i5 so should I still go for it, I want my PC ASAP but... of course MINERS so waiting is really not the best option I can probably wait until like August but NO LATER... So should I not worry too much about bottlenecks or just wait in depression as time passes by to see me as an old man in a grave... and MINERS are still ON THE GOD DAM 1070s... So my main question is will prices be dropping soon? When will 1070 for miners be launched? Will the 1080 be BOTTLENECKED or not? Should I wait or not? Please if I got angry a little BIT don't report ok.... (btw never read rules and now sound like a moron now...) MINUTES LATER: Ryzen is fine btw but I noticed that for the same price you get better performance on gaming with intel (Thanks, love the community instant replies LOL...)

I am looking for some decent components for a gaming PC with a budget of $1,000-$1,500. It would be awesome if someone could help, I need literally everything from a CPU to a keyboard. I'd appreciate any response I get. This will be my very first build of my own so it's a bit special to me.

I am planning to build a PC based on GTX 1060, I have few Questions 1. Will there be a GTX 2060? should I wait? 2. which processor should I go for? Ryzen 5 2600 or i5 8500? 3. PNY GTX 1060 XLR8 factory overclocked is the cheapest 1060 I can find here. How good is it? as I am very tight on budget, I have to keep thing as cheaper as possible

Does the cpu cooler effectiveness matter depending on what your graphics card is, or am i able to get away with a lower end cooler no matter what other parts i have. Basically does the heat of the cpu have the same temps with a graphics card(beefier components) as it does without. cuz im gonna be putting an i5-8600k in my pc, and i plan on adding a high end gpu when new ones come out. I just dont know if this will affect the temps of the cpu. I may or may not do overclocking, but i dont wanna spend the big bucks. Pls and thx

Hello, I Would like to build a gaming pc, and i would like parts for it. Thats where you come in. Give me parts that match the things i have said. For example: I Need a operating system that has windows 10 On it. You would give me a link like this that matches the things i said: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/wtgPxr/microsoft-os-kw900140. If you are about to ask a question, scroll all the way down and look at the Misc Spoiler, it will tell you additional information and it may anwser your question. If you see thinking about on a part it means that i have considered it and it may be used, it is just a recommendation, but it is up to you on what you choose. It might not even be compatible, like i said i am thinking about it. Now lets continue. And remember, your part has to be compatible with everyone elses parts. If there is any problems Message me. Also go down to see how to comment. And please give me a pcpart list of a gaming pc setup Motherboard: Done. If you want to change the motherboard it needs to have 6x Usb 3.0/3.1 Usb slots and if you want x2 2.0 Slots. (If i can id like 8x Usb 3.0/3.1 Slots) And it has to be a gaming motherboard that can run high demanding games and can run the elegato hd60s (And it needs 1 Hdmi Port And 1 Dvi Port Or 2 Hdmi Ports And Everything Else (Microphone Jack Headphone Jack Etc) Link: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Q9Gj4D/asus-motherboard-z170a AND IT NEEDS ETHERNET. Cpu: Needs: A Good Cpu for gaming, probably to play high demanding games. Memory: Needs: 16Gb. Thinking About: None. Storage: Needs: 7200RPM And 1/2TB. Thinking About: None Video Card: Needs: 4 or 8GB. So Im thinking of building this PC for gaming at 1080p: Motherboard: Asrock H97 Anniversary ATX CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz RAM: 8GB (2x4) Corsair Vengeance pro GPU: EVGA GTX 970 4GB VRAM ( more like 3.5 haha ) HDD: 1TB SSD: 60GB PSU: Corsair CX600W Case: Still havent decided on the case, but it doesnt matter Now I know the PC is really good for gaming and can pretty much max out any game out there at 1080p and get solid 60 fps (metal gear solid The phantom pain,Far cry 4, the witcher 3 wild hunt, battlefield hardline, cod black ops 3, star wars battlefront and probobly fallout 4), but the problem is that I want this computer to be able to keep getting 60 fps on high settings in the next 1 or 2 years. And what im worried about is the CPU... i see games that are coming out want an i7 3770 or 4790 for recommended. Now I know im fine for now, but with all this games coming out that want an i7 for recommended I get worried. So I just want to know your opinions on this... will I be able to get 60 fps on high settings in the next 1 or 2 years with this pc? Im talking about 1080p resolution. If you have any ideas or suggestions as well on the PC, they will be greatly appreciated! Thank you

I will use a 1080p monitor since it fits my budget. And I want 59fps. NOTE: Only change the ram parts to g.skill or crucial and do not choose evga(not available on my country) P.S. I don't care about south korea's price right now, I just wanna know if the parts are worth for me(I can calculate korea prices). And DO NOT SAY "I cant do a part list based on the korean vendor price" and not reply to the post. As I mentioned I dont really care about the korea price. P.P.S. I was planning to go for a hxi psu, but too expensive. Is it worth it to spend on a corsair hxi?

So I dont want to give money to buy a antistatic wrist band when Im building my gaming pc this month and I see in youtube that you can use the power supply plugged in but turned off and just touch it to make sure you dont destroy the pc parts when building the pc! So I would just like to know, how often do I need to touch it and does it matter how and where? Just to make sure the parts are 100% safe from the static electricity Thank you
