I currently have a Razer Strider mouse mat and wondered if it would be safe to build my PC on it?

Hi there, I'm planning out a build, and have included multiple rgb fans. The build will contain 10 fans of which 7 are rgb and throughout the case, and 3 are non-rgb and are placed on the AIO. These final 3 will be daisy-chained and plugged into the AIO header on my motherboard, so those don't require a controller. The other fans, on the other hand, do. I want to both PWM and RGB control them (using iCUE), and that appears to be a pain if you plan on using more than 6 fans. However, I think I've come up with a working solution, and I wanted to dubblecheck whether this would work. Moreover, I have a secondary solution which would be even simpler (and cheaper), which I wanted to check as well. My case, a Corsair 5000X, comes with a PWM controller pre-installed, and when purchasing a 3-pack of the fans I want (Corsair SP120 Elite), I get a Corsair Lighting Node Core (NoCo). These added up have the capacity for 6 fans, which isn't enough. So, what I thought of doing was buying a Corsair Commander Core XT (CoCo). I would them plug 5 fans into the CoCo and the other 2 in the NoCo and the PWM Hub, while plugging these last 2 into the CoCo. This way, I think I should get things to work. The secondary solution (which I thought might be too simple) is to buy a splitter for the two cables coming from a fan, and that way put 2 fans on a single header of the NoCo and PWM Controller. However, I do not know whether that would work, nor whether those kinds of cables even exist in the first place. Any input regarding this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, hope y'all are enjoying yourselves. I may have the opportunity to upgrade in the coming weeks but I'm having a hard time deciding parts. I'd be purchasing the parts in the US and my budget limit is $1000 My current build: CPU i7 6700 (non-k edition / no OC) Motherboard HP IPM17-DD (v1.04) (This was ripped from a HP prebuilt so I could use the intel CPU) GPU Red Devil 5700XT (no OC) RAM Micron 2x8GB 1866MHz DDR3 (pulled from some old prebuilt) PSU Seasonic m12II 750w 80+ Bronze (admittedly I've lost the bag of spare cables) Storage Mushkin REACTOR 1TB SSD Case Fractal Design Define R4 (It's a little too large, missing a side panel, and its extra parts) Please note: I have a pretty good time with how this PC runs but I feel there is definitely room for improvement. What do I use my rig for? Mostly gaming. Valve Index, and a large variety of pancake games, as well as using Ableton. What am I looking for? More stability and power for games. For VR I would like to push over 90Hz with high-ish settings without dropping as many frames. Pancake games I want to push for 120fps @ 1440p with high to max-ish settings. I have experience in the past with overclocking AMD FX chips and AMD cards so I would like to return to being able to push my hardware. I know I need more storage and would like a new case. Some parts I feel are dated or relatively low spec like the motherboard, and maybe the RAM? Where do I stand in terms of my GPU/CPU and looking to upgrading? Parts I've been looking at: AMD Ryzen 5600x MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE Corsair CX 750w 80+ Bronze PC cases under $100 2x8GB DDR4 3600MHz kits So, where do you think my money is best spent? Should I hold off on some things? I recently got new peripherals so I feel like I'm set in that area. Thanks in advance you beautiful people and sorry for my poor formatting abilities.

Budget (including currency): I would like to keep it close to where I'm at right now, so <1250 at the most ( not including graphics card and monitor or keyboard or mouse ) $USD Country: U.S. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, and web browsing. Other details: This is my first build. Don't worry about anything other than what's listed below ( I am aware that there is no graphics card, and that the 5600x doesn't have built in graphics. I'm just saying to not take that into account when looking at the parts for my build. i will figure out the graphics card eventually ). I will probably buy the parts in the near future. Budget (including currency): 1500CAD Buying from Montreal QC Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 4K Gaming, MW2, Cyberpunk, Cities Skylines, music making (so a quiet system might be best) Other details Existing parts: RTX 3080 Ventus 3X Plus 12G OC LH EVGA G2 750W Gold Power supply ASUS ROG Swift PG43UQ 43" 4K monitor Build ideas so far: RGB version: (open to suggestions) https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/klatu/saved/#view=ZBrgnQ Black / super quiet stealthy version: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/klatu/saved/#view=4cG4pg Context: My current build is a i7 4790K from around 2015. Last July my 1080Ti died, and I decided to upgrade it to a 3080. Since I didn't have the money to go with a full system upgrade, I figured a respectable card would be better than a temporary shitty one. I then told myself I'd build around the good card a few months later. Still, my system is now hilariously bottlenecking the RTX 3080. My mission is to upgrade completely now. Even my venerable HAF 922 case has to go. In my whole life, I've never gone team red. To be honest I have no idea what the nomenclature means when I look around the AMD stuff. But that doesn't mean I'm against the idea of it So far my two build ideas are around DDR5 and the 12th gen Core i7. So what's the best planning here? Have mistakes been made by buying a 3080 on July 31st? Go full next gen or stay DDR4? Wait for something I don't know is on the horizon? As for style points, I know watercooled RGB builds will likely be a bit louder. Is there a super stylish but stealthy AIO cooler out there? Bonus question concerning my old black-screen Asus 1080Ti Strix card. I am sure in the right hands someone could repair it. I asked around stores in Montreal and it seems people have moved on. Guess I should cut my losses and sell it for parts? Thank you for any insights.

Hey I'm thinking of building a PC. So far I have parts picked out which I plan to buy in the next year or 2 or will buy the equivalents when they come out, but I'd like a second or third opinion on what I have selected as I don't have a huge knowledge. Some requirements I have: I want to run 1440p games at 120hz in ultra settings. The potential for upgrading to 4k once it becomes more affordable and reasonable to game in 4k No water cooling A clean, and nice/cool looking build that can fit on a desktop (if I'm spending this much I want a system and setup that looks amazing) I'll also be using this pc for work potentially too so want a great web browsing and word processing experience too. Potential for streaming? Part picker list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/CRfhgJ Thanks for the help!

Main point: What would make for a good cpu/mobo pairing for a gtx780? quality, but not looking for frills the situation: I built myself my first system with a 4670k and gtx780 back around when the 780ti launched. Later I upgraded to a gtx1080 during the gtx20xx launch price drops. Since I still have my 780 I was thinking of using it in a build for my mom and little brother. My mom's old PC is a relic and is crashing nonstop, I'd rather throw something more modern together than mess with it she would just use the new PC for web browsing, my brother for homework and gaming(maybe, hard to gauge his interest). secondary talking points: should I even bother? would it be better to just do a basic web browsing machine with an apu? and forget about it being a gaming machine (poor 780 sits in the box forever) should I just put the 780 back in my current system, give that to them, and build a newer PC around my 1080?

Hey guys, i am planning a new PC which I would buy in the following months. Probably in two waves so I have two WOW effects. Lets get to the facts, I would like to spend a total maximum of 1500€ although i wouldnt be sad to be left with some money;). The aim of this build is mainly gaming (I am going to programm in the near future though). I play all sort of games like GTA5 (hopefully GTA 6 soon?), Assassin´s creed, UEBS, Civ and more small games. I am planning to run one monitor with preferably 1440p, 144 Hz, around 27 inch and if possible G/V-Sync. I have selected one here but due to the lack of g/Free-Sync I am not so sure about that... Would you recommend using G-Sync? Is the difference noticable? Another recommendation would be great for a mouse. It should be cheap, and with a decent amount of extra buttons. For the OS I would use Windows 10 but I already have a key. I am upgrading because I have a very old CPU(Intel Xeon W3550) and Motherboard. For example if I would want to make a Windowsupdate the PC would crash and I would have to reset everything(happened). And it is a little bit to slow. The GPU is acceptable at best(Geforce 1050 ti) and with a new monitor the 144 Hz and 1440p should be able to be displayed. Because this is my first complete build I would be really happy to see some tipps or recommendations (thanks for reading btw). Hi! I've been slowly saving for a new pc as my current pc is 4 years old and I never bothered to upgrade (I know what a dumb idea) I was wondering if you guys could help me with choices on my pc my budget is about 1400USD which is around 1500 AUD for me Here is my current choice of parts please note i don't plan on overclocking as currently I do not require the extra power from a CPU and I already own an SSD and Optical Drive that's why it isn't in the price list Thanks!!
