Hello all, I'm getting very overwhelmed with all the info I have to decipher & cram. I've been researching the last couple of days and at this point I am ready to tear my hair out. I was hoping the good people of this forum would prevent that! I'm a freelance photographer in need of a PC which can handle the basic stuff (web browsing, movie watching, music streaming) and these Adobe programs: Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, and, occasionally, PremierePro. I rarely use RAW files with my photos and when I do video projects, they're usually on the light side (think: time lapses, stop motions, travelogs) so I'm just looking to fulfill the minimum CPU + RAM + GPU requirements. With monitors, color accuracy is a higher priority than size. Apart from the Dell U2417H 24-inch, I've been looking at the ASUS PA 248Q 24-inch. I chose a mid tower case but I would actually prefer something smaller. With the parts I've chosen so far (see below), is such an alternative possible? Also leaving this list here to get better alternatives & suggestions. Feel free to pick it apart! PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gGp2Ps CPU: Intel - Core i5-7400 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($173.88 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-Z270P-D3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($80.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($84.99 @ Amazon) Storage: ADATA - XPG SX930 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($99.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Hitachi - Ultrastar 7K4000 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($81.49 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card ($154.99 @ Amazon) Case: Zalman - ZM-Z9 NEO BK ATX Mid Tower Case ($55.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($79.89 @ OutletPC) Monitor: Dell - U2417H 24.0" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor ($273.99 @ B&H) Total: $1086.18 As mentioned in the headline, my budget is 1k but I wouldn't mind going over just a little bit like so. The OS and software I already have. The optical drive I don't really see the need for. Cheers, Pam

I have plans to have a new pc built because I am in need of one I already have plans for a 800$ pc but money is a big problem and I might not be able to reach the budget. So, I am in need of help on a budget rig instead. I have plans to maybe stream or record league of legends game plays and edit videos in premiere pro. Maybe even play today's recent AAA titles and future games. I have a 1080p monitor given by my cousin which I plan to use. Budget: 400 -600$ I think I could squeeze 100$ more. Specifications: Should handle 1080p gaming, Be able to handle recording League of Legends or gameplay, I would like a red black aesthetic I'm pretty sure I am asking too much for the budget but do make a couple of changes if you will to fit the budget. Thanks.

I recently got into PC's and i am trying to build my first PC. I have a few questions about PC's. The PC I want to build is a $750 Pc build, shown by Joey Delgado in his YouTube video "Best $750 Gaming PC Build Guide - RX 580 Ryzen 5 2600 (w/ Benchmarks)". This PC's Components Include: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 8GB Motherboard: ASUS B450-A/CSM Ram: Ballistic Sport 8GB DDR4 RAM 2666 This is the "budget" PC I want to build to satisfy my gaming needs but, I have a few questions about this build. 1.) In this build there us no internal Wifi Card/Adapter included and I will need one in my PC build because I will not have access to Ethernet. So, is there any room for a wifi adapter/card on the motherboard( listed above) for me to include it in the build even after all the PC Components are plugged in? And if so, what specific card/adapter should I buy to handle games that require low ping but, also won't cost too much? 2.) In this PC build it uses (2x4GB) RAM sticks and I was wondering if I would be able to use (2x8GB) RAM sticks instead so, i have a total of 16GB of RAM? 3.) If there is no room for WiFi card/adapter on this motherboard (listed above), would a USB wifi adapter be just as good or nearly as good? And if so, what specific USB wifi adapter would be fast but also not too expensive? 4.) Also, if I am not able to include a wifi card/adapter into this PC build, is there a a different motherboard that i could swap that could hold a wifi card/adapter even after all the other components are plugged in? Thanks for reading! I really hope that I can find these answers soon. I would truly appreciate any help/response with the intent of helping me! Thanks again!

Hi, I'm planning to build my first pc, and so far I'm inclined on doing an amd build with a budget of 1000$ including the monitor. I just want your opinion on this, especially on things that I might have overlooked at, here it is: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: RX 570 ( not sure if I'm gonna get the 4gb or 8gb of sapphire pulse, or go with other RX 570 manufacturers) OR...... RX 580 (problem is, this card is almost always out of stock here) MOBO: MSI B350M Bazooka or... MSI B350M Mortar RAM: 4GB x2 (8GB) G.Skill Ripjaws Storage: HDD: 2TB Seagate Barracuda SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 250 GB PSU: Seasonic 520W 80+ Bronze Monitor: LG 23MP68VQ Case: Rakk Anyag (local branded case here in the Philippines but basically a mATX case) Fans: 5x 120mm case fan (3 intake fan at the front, 1 exhaust at the back, 1 exhaust at top) So the things I'm so far not so sure at are the MOBO and GPU. What would you recommend for the GPU and MOBO?

Hi, I'm a LinusTechTips youtube subscriber for some time now but I'm new to the forum. I'm planning to build a budget tower (mainly be used for graphic design) and I need opinion on these parts I've already picked out. CPU/APU: AMD Kaveri A10 7860K 3.6GHz MOBO: ASUS A88XM-A FM2+ RAM: KINGSTON 8GB HYPER-X FURY 1866Mhz HDD: WD Blue 500GB GPU: Sapphire Dual-x R9 270x GDDR5 2GB 256Bit PSU: (Not yet decided because I don't know if I'm just going to buy a generic casing with a generic PSU or not, but for now i'm thinking of a 450W PSU, don't mind it) It's kind of a pseudo-gaming PC because I've read that if you build a gaming PC, then you won't have any problems with everything else... thoughts?

I am trying to build a PC on a tight budget. I want to be able to game on it and I want to have four physical cores. I also want Wifi on the motherboard. Please reply part suggestions. I live in the Indiana, USA and have a budget of $750 US. I would perfer team green and a fractal design case. I will be running one monitor and I need to factor that into the budget. I want to factor a Cooler Master Octane bundle into the final price. I found Windows 7 pro for $40 here http://product.key-downloader.com/windows-7/windows-7-pro?gs=5&gclid=CPG_5MnTn8wCFYpZhgodhk4D1g

So I'm building sort of a budget build for about $500-$600 and my friend is selling me his old GeForce GTX 780 WindForce cards (2 cards) from Gigabtye, in almost new condition, for $75 each ($150 total) because he upgraded to 980s in SLI (he's sort of rich). In my build I'm planning on using a Pentium G3258 for my processor temporarily until I can afford a 4770k or 4790k and then using the Pentium for a mini-itx media PC build. I just wanted to know if the Pentium will bottleneck the 780s to a point where they're not usable and if it's a worthy investment. Also I would like to know if it's better to buy one 780 and then using the extra $75 to buy a better CPU. I'm up to any suggestions for the build in general as well . Here is a link to the parts for build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zQ2tsY Here is a write-up as well: CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($64.98 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.75 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($126.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Kingston Fury White Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($36.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Apotop 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($59.99 @ Newegg) +1tb Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm Hard Drive (Already Have) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card (2-Way SLI) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card (2-Way SLI) Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($67.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($81.98 @ Newegg) Total: $467.67 + $150 for video cards = $617.67

Hello I'm looking to build a cheap desktop but I am choosing parts on pc part picker and it is saying the Patriot ram has a higher voltage then the pentium g3258 uses. And higher then intel recommends. Should I trust this and change ram or will it not affect me? The exact message it says is here: The Patriot Signature 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory operating voltage of 1.8V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum. Thanks in advanced for the help guys!

Hello everyone my friend is coming to pc gaming and he needs help buying parts for his first pc. He is only going to use it for gaming and web browsing nothing else and he's not building it he's getting it pre-built for him, so that usually cost $75-100 extra and he doesn't want to overclock. Thanks!
