  1. Hello guys! I am a relatively new PC builder and recently decided to upgrade from my current build and build a new more beefy one. I am currently running: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x (stock) Zotac Gaming Trinity RTX 3090 (stock) ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wifi 64gb Gskill Trident Z Neo 3200mhz Sabrent 2TB Rocket Q4 NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 A 6tb 5400rpm WD Blue HDD Seasonic Focus-PX 850w 80+ Platinum PSU Ive also got a h100i elite capellix 240mm AIO cooling the cpu, and its in a corsair 4000x case. Ever since booting into windows, I have been plagued by seemingly random BSOD all with the same error. Attached are examples of the messages received. I have tried wiping the drives and reinstalling windows, re-seating my hardware minus the cpu, to no avail. Sometimes it works for 5 minutes and BSOD, sometimes it works for 8 hours and BSOD. Please help! (I have also run the CHKDSK and come back with zero issues) On Thu 1/28/2021 8:44:30 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported crash dump file: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP This was probably caused by the following module: ntfs.sys (Ntfs+0x11527E) Bugcheck code: 0x124 (0x0, 0xFFFFCD08251E4028, 0xBC800800, 0x60C0859) Error: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT File System Driver Bug check description: This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA). This is likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in a file system driver. Since there is no other responsible driver detected, this could be pointing to a malfunctioning drive or corrupted disk. It's suggested that you run CHKDSK. On Thu 1/28/2021 8:44:30 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012821-10296-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x3F5780) Bugcheck code: 0x124 (0x0, 0xFFFFCD08251E4028, 0xBC800800, 0x60C0859) Error: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA). This is likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.
  2. Hello, recently I started getting BSOD's while the A-XMP profile is active. I've was using a 60 Hz 4k screen before so there wasn't much strain on the CPU but I recently switched to a 165 Hz screen. Don't know if it's related tho. I tried two different ram kits. Tried changing their timings, voltage, etc... manually, using the data from ryzen dram calculator all the same. anything above 2444 causing BSODs. I formated my computer I don't know how many times, updated my bios, updated the windows, drivers, chipset and so on... So it's not a windows issue either. Removed and re sitted all the components again. My temperatures are all within safe limits. While gaming CPU is 60-65, GPU won't exceed 63 degrees. PCH and Mos are around 45. I tried using a fan on top of the ram sticks didn't change anything. One of the ram kits is a Samsung b-die the other one is a c-die. I already know that the c-die is a bit iffy. But both of the ram kits are causing BSOD's. Tested 1 ram at a time. Switched their dimm sockets. Tested them overnight using Memtest. So I've been wondering, could it be that the motherboard at fault here? Thank you for your help. My system: Ryzen 5 3600 clocked at 4.2 (Tested without oc ) Motherboard MSI B450 gaming plus Kingston Hyperx Predator 16gb 2x8 3200 mhz and Corsair vengeance lpx 2x8 3000 mhz (Tested them separately, obviously.)
  3. Hello, hope you're all having a great day, I've been getting loads of BSOD's for quite a while, I built my pc at the end of June and my first BSOD occured after enabling XMP to set the ram at 3600mhz, unfortunately, 2 days after that (now first week of July) I got a BSOD, from then until September, I have resetted the CMOS a number of times, refunded the old ram sticks and bought new ones (once I tried to set them to 3600 manually at 1.38v, then my pc wouldn't post and the DRAM Debug LED was lighting up, I managed to mess around and troubleshoot such as reseating ram, using hdmi, resetting cmos, then it posted and after that I instantly refunded those sticks), I have also reinstalled windows, DDU the GPU drivers using Guru3d, and updated the bios, unfortunately I still get BSOD's and I am now clueless, here is the minidump file from my 2 recent BSOD's (today and yesterday), this is my first build and it's had me extremely stressed, I would be ecstatic if someone could point out either the issue so I can at least try replacing the component or either try fix it, anyways here's the link to my specs as well as the minidump files, also wanted to point out, the BSOD's only occur while turning the pc on, none have ever come while using the PC, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1M-tQW75Y4aW6a9bP76VNvcfOCtZN6W2K/view?usp=sharing Specs List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/mkq7t8 - Sorry for the long text, thanks!
  4. I built my PC around 2 and a half years ago, its components are CPU: i9 9900K CPU GPU: RTX 2080 GPU PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650W PSU RAM: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 SSD: WD Black 1TB High-Performance NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD - Gen3, 8 Gb/s - WDS100T2X0C HDD: Toshiba X300 6TB Performance Desktop and Gaming Hard Drive CPU Cooler: CORSAIR HYDRO Series H150i PRO RGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi) Z390 Gaming Motherboard LGA1151 Disc Drive: LG Electronics 14x SATA Blu-ray Internal Rewriter without Software, Black (WH14NS40) Case: CORSAIR CARBIDE AIR 540 And it has been pretty problematic since I built it. I haven't had the chance to fix it or do anything until now, so if anyone can help me I have been having bluescreens, games crashing, applications freezing, and both my monitors going black (though it went away when I reinstalled my graphics drivers) The bluescreens happen probably multiple times a week and they are driving me crazy, and I would rather my games not crash Bluescreen dumps here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ahk2NqN--SISlV1yI9N8_b0PLXUU?e=lR5Bn6
  5. Hi everyone, I've been dealing with this issue for awhile now and I really need some help, please >.< I usually like to have a program called Runelite (Old School Runescape) open on my 2nd monitor while watching anything either it be Youtube or Twitch on my main monitor. This crash only happens when Runelite is open but only happens at random which is already weird, so what could this crash be? Well..first off everything is still responding, I can open folders and files but I am unable to open any programs, it will make the animation when I double click an icon on the desktop or clicking in the taskbar but the programs will not open, I can open Chrome or Edge but when I try to go to a website it does nothing when pressing enter, when I have a youtube video or twitch stream playing when the crash happens, the stream or video will start to lag, and I am unable to pause it or do anything really. I cant use the search bar near the start menu, I can type in it but nothing will appear, the window is all grey. Speaking of start menu I can open it no problem but when clicking on Restart or Shutdown, nothing happens. I can click it as many times as I could and nothing will happen. And the longer this crash is going, everything else in Windows starts to not work, like opening files and folders like I mentioned before, very strange is when I have Task Manager open all the numbers are locked in place, nothing is moving and my GPU usage is stuck at 100%. I can't click on any task or end them, I can click on File, Options and View but can't click anything further, nothing will happen and I can even close and reopen task manager and this will still continue. I know for a fact this only happens when Runelite is open because when I don't have it open the crash never occurs, it'll will be days or weeks heck even months and no crash but the moment I use Runelite? BAM this crash happens. There's another third party application for Old School Runescape just like Runelite called OSBuddy, using OSBuddy the crash never happens. I can use this program for days and the crash wont happen but when I use Runelite? You guessed it, windows crashes. Now I haven't even told you the strangest part. I truly believe that Windows is at fault here, now I know that sounds strange at first but here me out, when I used to have Windows 10 Version 1909, I never EVER had this issue before, but when I updated to Windows 10 Version 20H2 is when this crash first appeared, ever since then I still to this day cannot seem to figure out why this happens or even fix it. Before I could revert back to Version 1909 and that crash would never appear again. This version of Windows and the current one I have now, which is 21H2 have been out for many months at this point and yet this problem still persists. I've been troubleshooting and building computers for almost a decade so I know my way around with this kind of thing, but naturally I ain't perfect either. In all of the troubleshooting I've done I have never encountered something like this, I'm just stumped at this point and I don't know how to fix this, so if anyone can offer some help you be the biggest life saver and I would so very much be grateful and appreciate it ^w^ I also apologize for this post being very lengthy, I wanted to make sure I got everything in so you can understand the situation I'm in through my perspective. But alas thank you again so much for reading this and I hope you have a fantastic day X3
  6. I have recently been experiencing a multitude of problems all seeming to be based around a whea uncorrectable error. I have minimal access to my computer as it is currently in a bios boot loop in which I can only get out of by entering safe mode. I have been updating and uninstalling drivers and it seemed to be working for a while but then started failing again after a couple weeks and now has trouble starting at all sometimes crashing before I can even get to the home screen if it can even get past bios. Pc specs: Rtx 3070 fe, ryzen 7 3700x, 2x corsair vengeance 8gb 2133/3200mhz (no it's not overclocked), Samsung 970 Evo plus 1tb, wd black 3.5 6tb, msi mag (b550 I think?) Matx, corsair rm650x. Stop code: whea uncorrectable error. Event viewer: seems to be event Id 41. No visible damage and no recent falls. And I reset the cmos battery for good measure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Hi everyone, first of all i would like to say that i'm new at posting in this format, so if i'm not doing it properly please tell me so i can do it the right way. That being said, i hope someone could help me with this i had since the last year i built my setup. Specs: MOBO: B450 MSI Gaming Pro Carbon AC CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x RAM: 2x16 Hyperx Kingston Fury 2400Mhz (HX424C15FB3A/16) SSD: WD_BLACK SN750 500GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 4TB (T4000DM004) PSU: Gigabyte B700H GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC Since i built this, after taking the decision to drop my old Intel setup to give it a shot to AMD's Ryzen family of processors, i had a lot of troubles since day 1: BSOD's KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION Black screen resets with the EZ Debug LED turning on at CPU every time this happened (MSI Led) USB ports stop working gradually before an imminent BSOD (Sometimes Youtube and Twitch also could stop working too before a BSOD) Sometimes BSOD's when shutting down the PC (Using the button and the OS option, both cause it) All of this happens when i use 2 RAM slots on dual channel at least twice a day, i have no problem when using 1 stick. I have a whole year trying to figure out what could be the problem, and i tried multiple of the stuff i know could be causing this kind of problem: Checked that everything was correctly installed Re-installed Windows and drivers several times Stress tested CPU and RAM Tested both of my RAM modules by separate and together with Memtest86 (No errors) Avoided MSI Bloatware Updated BIOS (And eventually downgraded after finding out BSOD multiplied because apparently MSI has buggy BIOS) Recently reseated the CPU and rebuilt my setup in case i was missing something Nothing solved my issues but i got rid of black screen EZ debug LED issue after i reseated my CPU, which called my attention, because the CPU was installed correctly, but i noticed something odd: The wraith prism cooler was really thight, because when i just applied a little bit of force to move the lever of Wraith Prism cooler, it just violently moved and made a loud noise, it even hit my finger and hurted me a bit. When i first installed this cooler i had no issues, i didn't even had to force it to close the lever and this is not the first time i build a PC and i know that you don't have to apply too much force on PC parts, so this is why this really called my attention. After reseating the CPU, BSOD dissapeared a couple of days, but now they're back but the cooler seems to be correctly installed, now i can move the lever without issues. I looked on the internet for people with the same problem as me and i found this: This post made me downgrade to a most stable BIOS version, which did reduced BSOD's, but didn't fixed the issue. After this incident also searched for people who had problems with Wraith Prism and found this post: And this is what made me think that the root of my problems could be my CPU cooler, but honestly i'm still skeptical about it, so i wanted to see if someone has another idea or if someone had this kind of problem and if so, how you do fixed it or what you think i can do to fix my issues?. Thanks in advance to everyone, and have a nice day.
  8. Hey there everyone so I built my pc like 2-3 months ago and for the first week it worked properly but after that it just turned into some weird BSOD fiesta. When I am gaming usually everything is fine but when I just don’t do anything it’s just a matter of a couple of minutes until it crashes and restarts. The main error I get is kernel security check failure but there are others too I just don’t really remember them. So the system is ROG strix B450-F gaming Ryzen 5 3500x rx570 4gb hyperX fury 2666 2x8gb kingston nvme m.2 500gb the PSU is aerocool VX plus 750W so nothing too special, if anyone can help it would be very much appreciated. Thanks a lot to everyone in advance and have a good day.
  9. So, in the past 2 weeks I have gotten 3 BSODS. I have done absolutely nothing at all to this PC and it had been running fine. I do not know why this happened. The first BSOD just showed that NVMDDKLL.sys or somehting like that failed. Then it showed the message driver power state failure and then today out of the blue after troubleshooting and reinstalling drivers it BSOD'D again with the message page fault in non paged area. I know what all these mean but I wanted to know why they happened so close to each other. My laptop, a Lenovo Ideapad L340 gaming was capped at 2.4 GHZ(its base frequency) which was different from the reviews I saw about the laptop. I use Throttlestop to undervolt it and overclocked it 3.2 GHZ(WHICH IS A LOT) but it stayed in the 70s to 80s in degrees which is perfectly fine for a laptop I believe. That is all I have done and it was working fine months ago when I had the same settings applied. What can I do? Should I reinstall Windows? My laptop is still in its warranty period. I might question the Lenovo people. For some more info on the over clocking Ive posted something about it on reddit. I hope this can help you. https://www.reddit.com/r/pchelp/comments/nodmbm/overclocking_help/
  10. Hi so I bought a pc last year and haven’t enjoyed it till now i am constantly having bsod when i play a game ex: apex and warzone but not on other games like valorant, i get bluescreen also when i try to play warzone or apex then stream it, even if just plainly playing games it crashes, i already reformatted my pc and download everything still when i try to play warzone or apex it crashes mid game multiple bsods I don’t know what to do anymore have change my ssd and ram already, if i open streamlabs and play a game then stream the pc crashes it automatically restarts the pc most of the time it is bsod. Even if streamlabs is not on if i play apex it will crashed and pc freezes even warzone crashes even if streamlabs aren’t open. Drivers are up to date. 11. Hi guy's please help me out if y'all can. this actually has happened with me before with the same Asrock b450m steel legend motherboard in the previous pc in which the problem occurred and the one in which the problem began has the same Ryzen 3500 Cpu, in the previous build i had updated to the latest bios version which at that time was 2.90 then i started to get this same kernel related bsod issues. and when i reverted back to bios 2.70 problem goy fixed. but in this motherboard we didn't update any bios and i have tried updating and even degrading bios nothing seemed to fix it. So if any of you faced this issue in asrock boards or any one who faced this please help me out.
  12. As everyone on this forum is well aware, PC hardware is hard to come by now a days especially graphics cards and I must admit this is emotional for me because I feel like this PC died an early death and I'm not sure what killed it. It's not good for much any more and I built it back in 2018. It's got: Intel i7-8700K cooled with a Hyper 212 Evo 16 GB (2x8) of CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 ASUS ROG Z370-E Gaming A used EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Corsair AX860 I've been getting Blue Screens, DirectX and Graphics Driver Crashes, and artifacting, crashing, and lagging. I guess I'm just posting here hoping that maybe someone has any ideas, I've never overclocked it aside from XMP. Then I found from Linus' opinion that he didn't like how unstable XMP was so I disabled it. Later on I manually overclocked my RAM to 3000 MHz and increased the voltage to 1.34 volts as per corsair's Spec sheet. That cleared memory_management BSODs and then there were other BSODs. My PC constantly BSODs. Things I've done to try and mitigate it. Reinstalled Windows. Reseated RAM Reseated GPU Reseated CPU Unplugged and Replugged the power cables from PSU to MOBO I'm starting to think this PC is dead, the BSODs carry amongst my windows reinstalls and reseats. My CPU never goes beyond 70 degrees even when running prime95. Attached is a picture showing my reliability monitor. If you guys need any more screenshots I'll provide. I wish Windows error messages weren't nearly as useless and I could just pinpoint for sure what the actual problem is, but I appreciate any time you guys give me to help me pinpoint what hardware died. Thank you.
  13. Specs: Ryzen 7 2700x AsRock B450M Steel Legend (BIOS UP TO DATE 3.60P) HyperX Predator (HX432C16PB3AK2/16) 16gb 2x8 running at 3200mhz XMP1 EVGA Geforce GTX 1070ti m.2 Crucial MX500 500gb Corsair CX650 650W Bronze HDD Seagate 2TB CoolMaster Masterliquid ML240R RGB Windows 10 My upgrade was two parts: HyperX Fury 32gb (2x16) 3200mhz HX432C16FB3/16 SATA3 WD 4TB 64MB BLUE I reinstalled windows 10 and installed the new parts but pc sometimes won't boot, make sounds or anything, we did some BIOS updates, and my pc kept crashing giving blue screens. Long story short, after so many test and installing Windows 10 like 2 times, they gave new kit of DIMMs thinking the issue was the RAM, it wasn't. We tested 3 DIMMs of the same HyperX Fury model and we would get a blue screen. So I decided to use the same DIMM models that I've been using so far HyperX Predator (HX432C16PB3AK2/16) with all 4 slots filled. I still would get BSOD at 2933mhz, it seems to be stable at 2400mhz, but my pc should be able to at least get up to 2933mhz Now I'm thinking that it might be either the Motherboard or CPU, I believe is the motherboard. Just in case, I will list all the codes the blue screen was giving: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 0xc0000225 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL I also did all the changes needed and supported by my CPU and motherboard just to be save for any errors and crashing issues (which it didn't, still got blue screen), according to AMD and AsRock website: Ryzen 7 2700x System Memory Specification Up to 2933MHz Ryzen Series CPUs (Pinnacle Ridge): SR SR SR SR 2933 (I've been using this one) Right now at this moment, I'm only using 16gb of my old RAM kit, I did some test with memtest86 and it didn't give any erros, tho I couldn't OC to 2933mhz, system wouldn't let me. I tried CS:go and I was losing frames, when I shouldn't, it seemed if I was playing at 30fps so I did some test and my concern is the temperature, I don't think cleaning my pc would solve the problem, it seems is beyond that. Result of the test: I did the same test a couple months ago and the temperature of the CPU was at 54°C in Value and 64°C at max, now I'm getting 72°C at max. I also did some test on my gpu with Valley Benchmark, result compare to March 2020, frames are still up to 90 and 35 at min, but at max FPS now I get 189 compare to the 205 I was getting back in March. At this very moment I don't know what to do, I'm thinking on getting a new motherboard, because I think this might be the issue. I was thinking on going for ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING, my only concern is that the memory rams that I own, doesn't appear on the list of Memory compatibility for the mobo, I checked on their website. I read the rules on how to post, I apologize if the post is too long, I'm trying to give as much information as I can, with all the test I did.

Every time I enable the XMP profile. It happens sporadically but almost every time. Here are two error codes: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL INTERRUPT EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED What I have tried so far: I have reinstalled windows 11 I have I used scannow and DISM to rebuild or fix corrupt Windows files I have reinstalled all drivers I have checked my RAM with the command line for any hardware related problems with no error output I have reset the Memory Profile in Bios to default. I would love to actually benefit from buying DDR5 Ram with higher Clockspeed. And this error is preventing me from doing that. So any constructive help is appreciated. Looking forward to our conversation. many thx
  16. Hello everyone, just a few days ago I bought and mounted a Samsung 980 500GB, and moved Windows to it. I've had 3 BSOD's since then, each one of them being with a different error code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL; SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I think I've managed to fix most of them, but I feel like I'm going to be getting even more BSOD's. Should I just reinstall Windows?
  17. I have recently changed: a PSU - from Straight Power 11 850w to 1200w, a GPU - GTX 1660 Super to RTX 3080 and added an SSD (although there's nothing on it yet) I remember also pulling out my RAM when changing these parts, maybe something's up with that (i'll try to run a memtest soon) Since then I've been getting blue screens while playing Dying Light 2. I didn't have time to check any other apps but I was hoping maybe someone could help me read the dump files. I thought maybe the problem was with the GPU Drivers so I did a clean reinstall with DDU (didn't help obviously) Also the problem could be with Dying Light 2? since around that time a new update rolled out. Can reading the dump files specifically point us to the root of the problem? All of these blue screens happened while playing Dying Light 2 031022-5671-01.dmp 031022-5812-01.dmp 031422-5828-01.dmp 031922-5796-01.dmp
  18. I've been getting constant blue screens, I've updated all my drivers, updated windows, reset windows and performed multiple system scans, ran scans to see whether my ram was defective (I ran one scan for each stick individually, and together.) and disk checks. I've done malware scans, but found nothing. The blue screens are seemingly random, ones which I can remember off the top of my head are: System Service Exception, Cache Manager, Kmode exception not handled, and Page Fault in Nonpaged Area. I did at one point encounter an error stating that : "The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application". Should I try reinstalling all my driver's? Should I reset windows completely? What the hell do I do?
  19. Hey guys, so I'm having some weird issues with my new GPU, https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N206SAORUS-8GC#kf Whenever I try to play games, and even sometimes on the desktop or login screen I get BSODs with either nvlddmkm.sys errors or DPC Watchdog Violation. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, to no avail. My old gpu (GTX 1060) works just fine. Any suggestions? I've had to replace this card twice already, once because my PSU blew and again because the gpu fans wouldn't stop running at 100%.
  20. Hey there, Last year in November, I bought new computer parts and built my first own computer. At first sight, everything worked fined and no problems occured. Later on, i kept getting BSOD's but I dont get the reason why ... First of all, here are my specs: OS: Win 10 Professional (64-Bit) Mainboard: MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon BIOS: 7B17v171 (tested 7B17v16 as well) CPU: i-9 9900KS CPU-Fan: Noctua NH-D15 GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 Super (Palit Gamerock) PSU: be quiet! Dark Power Pro P11 750W Drive: WD SSD 500GB Blue Pc M.2 Memory: Crucial DIMM 32GB DDR-4 2666MHz (Slot 2,4) (I know, its not a good one) I didn't overclock anything myself or changed anything in BIOS (at first). XMP is not supported. At first, it started with "whea_uncorrectable_error" and usually happened in idle. It rarely crashed while at max power/perfomance. I tried to update all drivers, deactivated unnecessary drivers and searching for driver faults. I used "sfc /scannow", the windows feature to detect Memory and Drive faults and used MemTest86 (3 runs with 0 errors). Windows debugger often said that the proccess "audiodg.exe" is faulty but i updated every audio driver and its not fixed. I tried to use the memory in single channel instead of dual channel and it didnt help. Later on (about 2-3 Weeks ago) i reinstalled windows and the first 3-4 days it didnt crash but now starting again. I changed some values in bios but nothing changed. I changed cpu sa to 1.18V and io to 1.1V and memory voltage to 1.32V. I "downclocked" the memory to 2444MHz "DDR4-2400 (18x100.00x1.33)" and still crashing. I hope i didnt forget anything and I'm sorry for my bad language ... Its not my main language Ah, and I uploaded some old dumpfiles (before i reinstalled windows), some new and some other stuff that might be helpful. Thanks for you help, Marcel DumpFiles.rar perfmon.html DumpFiles_old.rar
  21. So, as the title says, my pc has started giving me a ton of BSODS. And I can't find the reason behind of it all.. A couple of days ago, I purchased some new parts: a PSU (Corsair RM750, 2019 version), an SSD (Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB), and an HDD (Seagate BarraCuda 2TB); and after I put them in my system, the BSODS started to appear. At first, I reinstalled Windows 10, and during the second part of the installation (when Windows asks for the keyboard layout, whether I want personalized ads or not, etc), I started getting blue screens. This was somewhat of an annoyance, as I got multiple blue screens at this part, and I had to restart my computer a couple of times, before managing to complete the installation (by rushing through it) and boot into Windows. Also, during the first part of the installation (when I have to format, delete, etc partitions, I didn't get any blue screens). After the install, I noticed that after a couple of minutes of doing anything (browsing, downloading stuff, etc), my pc would get a BSOD. Already getting sick of it, I decided to do another Windows 10 install, this time using a larger bootable device (a 32GB USB Flash Drive; last time, I installed Win 10 from a 4,74GB DVD), but the BSODS continued. Things I have tried: Multiple Windows 10 installations (from the 32GB Flash Drive); Removing the new SSD and HDD, and putting back in the old HDD, while running my system on the new PSU; Removing the SSD and putting it back in; Running chkdsk (it didn't find any issues); Running Windows Memory Diagnostic tool two times (it didn't find any issues); Swapping graphics cards (I've got two, an RX 5700 XT, and a GTX 1050 Ti; the blue screens occured on both of them). Notes: I don't get any BSODS in safe mode; I had been getting some BSODS before I put the new components in my rig, but those were because of the 5700 XT, and they were much rarer (I sometimes encountered them when I put a game in the taskbar); I've got very little dust in my PC; I've never spilled anything on the components; I've never scratched the components. PC specs: Motherboard: GIGABYTE B450 AORUS ELITE (Bios version: F52); CPU: Ryzen 5 3600; GPU: GIGABYTE RX 5700 XT; RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Dual Channel; PSU: Corsair RM750 750W 2019 version, 80 Plus Gold; SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB; HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 2TB; Case: Aerocool Cylon RGB; Windows version: Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit. The BSODS which I encountered, and their approximate number: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE ~ 8; DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION ~ 7; DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (What failed: amdppm.sys, tcpip.sys, wdf01000.sys; not every time was displayed "What failed:") ~ 6; IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ~ 3; SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (What failed: FLTMGR.SYS, Ntfs.sys; not every time was displayed "What failed:") ~ 3; KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (What failed: WdFilter.sys; not every time was displayed "What failed:") ~ 3; KERNEL_THREAD_PRIORITY_FLOOR_VIOLATION ~ 3; PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (What failed: win32kfull.sys; not every time was displayed "What failed:") ~ 3; REFERENCE_BY_POINTER ~ 3; APC_INDEX_MISMATCH ~ 3; UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP ~ 2; DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER ~ 2; PFN_LIST_CORRUPT ~ 2; KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION ~ 1; KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_LOCK_ACQUISITION_WITH_RAISED_IRQL ~ 1. Basically, I will always get a BSOD during the first 10 minutes after booting.
  22. Hello Everyone. I recently built my wife a new computer using the Ryzen 5 2400g and have had nothing but headaches. I was aware of the Bios update and was well prepared for accomplishing that, however that was the easiest thing about this build. I had everything put together and loaded win10 1703 build I had on a thumbdrive. That is when the nightmare began. I kept getting BSODs and couldn't even get through updating win10, so i created a new file on a newly formatted thumbdrive using win10 1709 build. Things were significantly better after that. I got through all of the win10 updates and moved on to the drivers. I kept getting BSODs but not as frequently so i pushed on. The last driver I updated was the AMD Vega 11 driver for the APU. Prior to performing that update the display adapter said it was a Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. After the update the GPU was recognized as a Vega device. I am still getting the BSODs at a regular interval and sometimes i get a green screen. Everything i have read about this topic says it has to be a driver issue some where, but which one. I have updated them all and have no idea which one is still causing the crashes. I even had a freeze while I was in the Bios once last night. I had to reset the computer to fix it. That seems odd to me that it happened in the Bios screen. I am contemplating sending the 2400g back and getting the 1600 and a cheap graphics card since this will not be a gaming rig (I put that one in my gaming computer and have had zero issues with it). I am just wondering if the that will fix the issue or is the issue in the windows loaded on the SSD. Please help and Thank you in advance. Build parts: ASRock x370 Killer SLI/ac Bios update p4.60 I upgraded in 2 steps as recomended to p3.50 then to p4.60 Ryzen 5 2400g Radeon Vega Graphics Version 17.40.3701 (Windows Driver Store Version 23.20.827.0). 23. I get a lot of errors and even more BSODs for about 2 months now. It's an old PC, I'll list it below. My problem is this: IT CRASHES EVERY DAY MULTIPLE TIMES. It is getting unusable at this rate, my family and I have both sensitive data in there and many good reasons to use it daily. I've tried taking almost everything (except for the motherboard) apart and piecing it all back together, manually checking for any driver that needs updating, run Windows Defender and a lot of tests and repairs (like Memtest 64, C: drive repairs, etc) several times, tweaked the startup/boot settings anjd even taken it to a PC technician who somehow damaged my motherboard, killed my sound and practically stole 100$ from me for a couple of new memory sticks. I need help bcause I can't find anyone reliable around my parts to help with diagnosing my PC. The specs for it are the following: ASRock Extreme4 motherboard, AMD FX-4100m CPU, Asus Radeon HD6450 GPU, 2x Kingston HyperX Blu 1333MHz Dual Channel kit + 2x Kingston 1333MHz Dual Channel kit RAM, Mtech 450W PSU (I know...). Thank you if you read this and please help, I'm getting desperate.
