I bought a 3060ti used off of Facebook market place. When I seated it everything ran smooth for about 30 minutes. The problem that started was all games crash. I’ve already re-sat the Gpu update driver delete and installed and from what I can tell off gpuz it isn’t over clocked. The harder the game is to run the sooner it crashes. When it does crash Gpu usage spikes to 100%. I haven’t been able to find any solutions to it. Below are two videos of a reoccurring problem in rdr2. I deleted the game reinstalled and still having this problem. CPU-Ryzen 5600 PSU-600w silver evga RAM-32gb vengeance 3600 MB-Asus b550 tested all part and they run fine the common denominator is the Gpu. IMG_1231.mov IMG_1231.mov

Looking at a 3080ti graphics card that is "being sold for parts". Seller says that he bought pre-built, went on vacation and display wasn't working. Reseated and worked, only to have the display go out again. Fans still spin and lights turn on. He said he doesn't have much pc knowledge, so he just bought a new card and is selling the card in question as broken since he can't get it to work. Scam or no scam? If it's a simple driver or psu issue, than I could get a really good deal on the card... But I'm hesitant and want advice on more knowledgable people on GPU's before I make a decision. Images on GPU show no physical damage or wear.

Hi, I received my graphics card a couple of days ago and when I checked the connector pins some areas are bent and some are directly broken off. I am not sure if the GPU will still work which is why I am making this post. I attached an image of the GPU.

Hello I am not new to system components but I am new to GPU repair and PCB circuitry. I recently purchased a broken Aorus 1080ti locally for 60 dollars with the intent to fix. I have diagnosed the problem to be a blown module located in the vcore. I dont know exactly if it is a mosfet but I do know that it is manufactured by Alpha & Omega semiconductors (AOZ5036) http://www.aosmd.com/res/data_sheets/AOZ5036QI-01.pdf. I have already purchased some replacements from Aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000786926977.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.38ef4c4dIoAR5x). I still don't know if the short was caused from internal problems or if it was purely a PSU issue. I need some help on identifying the cause, and also need help on what I need to replace the module. I have included multiple images of the damage and surrounding area of the pcb.

Hey guys, I have a ASUS TUF RTX 3090 that crashes after about 1 hour of use, after that i get the q code 97 and a white led on gpu. Sometimes i will boot up again, work for 5 minutes and do the same thing all over again. I cant tell what it is causing that the system boots again, it seems pretty random. It also crashes without any load after about one hour, in the same way it does under load after one hour. I have already tried: CMOS reset Using a different PCIE power lane on the PSU Updating the MB bios Updating the Vbios while the GPU was working Using the second Vbios on the card Using another PCIE slot on the MB Using different screens Using different cables to the screens Reinstalling windows Reinstalling drivers Tried playing different games while the gpu was working Disconnecting external drive All of this did not change anything, still behaves the same. I have also send the gpu to RMA but they didnt find anything, and it passed all of the tests. But what is even weirder for me is that when i change out the gpu to a different one it boots up without any problems, with a different gpu the system runs without any issues. Its also important to know that the gpu ran for almost one year without any crashes, isnt overclocked or anything similar, temps are normal. Full specs of the system: R9 5900x 64gb RAM 3200mhz ASUS crosshair dark hero X570 ASUS TUF RTX 3090 OC SAMSUNG 970 EVO (90 TB written, with drive status Good) Be qiuet Straight power 11 1000W Only thing that is odd to me is that i inspected the card today and saw that two capacitor pairs on the backside of the gpu are touching, i dont know if this is wanted but in all the pictures i have seen until now there wasnt one that looked the same. I attached one picture of my gpu. The two marked cap pairs are clearly touching. If anyone has anything i could try i would be happy to try, because im running out of ideas. Thanks for any replies in advance

I’ve got an rtx 2080 that I have been trying to watercool using an ekb waterblock. It wasn’t working on boot so I took a look and found that a silver piece has broken off. Don’t know what they’re called but it’s stubby looking in a cylinder shape with eay52 270 and 16v on the top. Is this fixable or am I screwed plz help I can’t afford to buy another one.

I was playing Total War: Warhammer at highest settings, and all of a sudden, my screen went black--but the computer stayed on. Naturally, I knew this was a GPU issue. My GPU, an MSI 780 ti gaming, was old and having VRAM fan troubles. Twice over the course of two months, I had to start the fan by spinning it with my finger. I quickly shutdown my computer, hoping it just overheated, but all of the fans had been spinning. When I tried to turn my computer back on, no video signal was outputted, and the GPU fans spun at 100%. I waited twenty minutes to let it cool down with no luck. Ultimately, I took out my 780TI and replaced it with my old Radeon 7700 HD; it seems to be working fine. My question is: Can I fix my 780 TI via "baking" or is that a vain effort? I doubt it overheated because if it had, my computer would have completely crashed. Moreover, all of the fans seemed to be spinning before and after the "black screen" incident. It seems like the stress of Total War just killed it. I am planning on buying a new GPU when the new Vega cards are released, so I just need a temporary fix.

So I recently bought the msi Radeon Rx 470 armor 4gb gpu and I've had it for about a month now and then it began to have issues. Now when I start up my pc and log in. I will wait about 1 minute then my pc monitor will begin to show multiple lines of color then it will flicker then show a different image of multiple lines of color then do that a few times then my pc will do a reboot and start all over again. I installed the newest drivers in a last attempt to fix the issue and it didn't work. I've sent in the gpu to get a replacement. I'm just wanting to know if anyone has any idea what the issue could be? P.S the programs I've been using are MSI afterburner and amd Radeon application.

OK so I'm looking for the specs on these capacitors for this specific Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 1080 board(though I've seen them on a bunch of boards in the past) . . one of these popped off after a water block was removed and I'm trying to replace it completely with a new one The old one isn't getting enough contact and the power delivery is way off and sending temps soaring into the 80's . . the card used to sit at 66c at full load with most games or software When water cooled it was a nice cool 47c Anybody know the exact part?

Hey guys. Over the past 4 days my system has been on the fritz. I have dismantled, rebuilt and reinstalled many p[arts and copies of windows 10. My PC has 2 980tis in sli and i have been swapping between them and the igpu. Basically i kept launching the fresh install of windows and every time i launched a game of did anything graphically demanding I got a blue screen of death (actually not just blue, at various points, red, purple, magenta and cyan of all things) , specifically i got this launching overwatch consistently. the display was fine for general usage such as browsing google and windows operation. Anyway I swapped to my second 980 ti and, it worked fine, overwatch launched and played fine (to double check i swapped them back again and the first crashed again and then swapped back to the second and it was fine). So does it sound like my first 980ti is a lost cause?

i got a used EVGA GTX 960 SC that wont display on boot-up, i tested the gpu on my main rig, a dell precision 390, and it worked on the first try, but after a restart it stopped displaying anything on my monitor, and if i reinstall the GPU it had previously (EVGA GTX 660), it will boot up fine,i didn,t touch the 960 when i first fired it up, and i placed it in a esd mat so i kinda doubt that esd damage is a factor here, has anyone else experience anything like this

I found a gtx 1070 online which has a broken fan, It's really cheap (about$220). I was thinking of buying it and getting these fans from ali express and replacing them, I would also clean and replace the thermal paste. The original owner says he's used it for one year and that he never mined on it. Should I get it? Is there any risk the fans won't work? I've opened many gpus and I won't break it. Atm I have a 950 which can't run most games even at 1080p and I want to upgrade. Before asking, where i love used 1070 go for around $340.

My games keep crashing and sometimes fortnite keeps using 9-10 GB of my ram which causes the game to crash or even run at 10 fps. at first I thought fortnite was the only game that was crashing but CSGO, GTA online all of them started crashing. I emailed epic games (I didn't know it happened on other games at that point) and they sent me this" However in case you have proceeded with all of our troubleshooting steps and you are still encountering FPS drops you are possibly experiencing hardware issues. As I am certain you understand Epic Player Support is unable to further assist you with changes regarding your PC."Is there a way to fix this? this usually happens after playing the game for 30,40 minutes and for some reason happens the most on creative, Except it doesn't happen at all on my islands. Most of the times it says fortnite is using "10GB" in task manager but a few times I saw "unrealcefsubprocess" use it instead and it fixes when I ends that task but it comes back after 10-15 minutes but fortnite starts using more ram instead.(fortnite) On GTA and other games it just crashes without any error other than the launcher telling me it crashed. Is this something to do with my GPU? or my CPU? (Fps drops down to 1-10)Specs:Cpu: i7-8700kRam: Corsair VENGEANCE PRO RGB 16GB (2x8GB)Gpu: MSI RTX 2070 Gaming 8GMB: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE ACMy OS is on: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 250GBMy game is on: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD

Ok so recently my computer has started doing this thing where when I attempt to boot the CPU led lights up white for a split second and then about 2 seconds later the white VGA light comes on and stays on solid white with no signal on my main monitor and a black screen on the second one. The GPU is under warranty so I can return it and get my money back (it was second hand) but I just want to make sure it's definitely a GPU problem and not a mobo problem. This never happened before and only just started happening in the last week, I unplugged and replugged everything and it still kept happening. Also when the white VGA led comes on the fans stop spinning on the GPU. I haven't seen many people with this similar issue and I just want to be certain before I spend £200+ on another one. Can anyone help? Cheers, Jay.

Hi guys I was hoping for your collective expertise. I've have had my R9 290 for many years now and today while I was playing FC5 my pc suddenly showed a black screen losing sound also. I pushed the restart button only to find after the windows logo I got a black screen with no boot into windows. I started my computer up in safe mode successfully and re installed my AMD drivers to get the same issue after restart. I have now uninstalled the drivers again and can boot normally but with strange artefacts on my screen in different areas. I have my display port plugged into my GPU, I am getting display and the fans are spinning all at normal temps. (I have re-thermal pasted and dusted it) My question is what do I do! or is my GPU ready for the can, buying a new one will have to wait for this Mining plight to end

So, I had gotten a free GTX 770 at Dreamhack Austin. I decided to replace my current GPU (R9 280X). After Installing the 770 I tried a small overclock. The overclock halved my frames so I reverted the overclock. My frames got slightly better but didn't really go back to what they were. I had read somewhere to reinstall Windows to fix the GPU. So I refreshed Windows. That didn't really do anything. Later I was getting ping spikes and thought it may be due to me not reinstalling my wireless adapter's driver after the refresh. So I did. After I did I had to do a restart, after the restart, it was like I had just installed another new GPU. The screen resolution was wrong and my moniter was back at 60hz (from 120hz strobed). S I opened GeForce Experience and it said it didn't have any drivers. So I re-downloaded drivers and it said I couldn't install because I didn't have anything compatible. Tried a bunch of stuff to fix it and it didn't work. So I decided to just put the old 280X back in. Same problem PC is not recognizing there is a GPU or something of that sort. The GPU is not listed in device manager. I don't know what to do. HELP

So today i changed the thermal paste of my Msi R9 270, i connected it back and instantly i saw that pink tint on my screen. I got very scared so i made sure everything is connected and there are no problems and started the pc again. But the same thing continued! I switched my card with an old nvidia 9800 and there was no pink tint. The interesting thing is that i ran gpu stress tests and everything was normal ( i mean for fps and temps) except for the pink tint. When i turn on my monitor settings the colors are normal- white is white blue is blue and etc. But when i turn back to dekstop everything has a pink tint.

Hi, so today I started trying to increase the performance of my pc by overclocking both my graphics card and my processor. I have my processor, an I5-4690K, clocked at 4.0Ghz and it runs just fine with my corsair H110i GT cooler and I was trying to overclock my evga GTX 970 and I was upping the core clock by 100 and things we going alright but for some reason the clock speed would jump up to 1468 when the base clock is only 1216 which I thought was odd. I then kept trying to get it to run on 3DMark the best I could, I even went down to plus 50 Mhz an still wasn't going well, but then after several tries my 3DMark score went from about 2700 to 1250 (I have the advanced version of 3DMark) and my core clock only goes up to 540 Mhz in cpu-z. Is my card damaged? If not how do I fix it. Any Help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi there, so here's the thing: Recently i made my desktop PC do some traveling (by car) and now that i got it back to my appartment some problems appeared: When i try to boot my PC it says (if it says anything at all and doesn't just stay black after the bios) "windows didn't load correctly" (sth. like this, i tried to translate it from german (I'm german (: )). It gave me a bunch of options what to do, and after "recovery" failed i used "refresh". It deletes almost all of my programms and apps but restores Windows to it's former glory. All fine, had to do that some time before (a while back, didn't do any traveling back than. All i did was installing an old game of mine when the screen froze and i had to force restart). Not so cool though was the following: the "refresh" also deleted my Graphics Driver, so i wanted to reinstall it (I also realized, that my PC no longer runs on the graphics card gpu, but some mainboard/processor gpu). Now we all know that little 'flickering' while the graphics driver gets installed (right?). But instead my screen flickers and goes completly dark and i have to force restart it. I tried a few times. Once, after more or less succesfully restarting, I got THAT message AGAIN ("windows did not...") and had to "refresh" AGAIN. That's when it began to dawn on me, that the whole mess might have s.th. to do with my graphics card/gpu. I use an AMD Radeon R9 200 series (hope i got that right) and Windows 8.1 One thing i didn't try yet was to search for the latest driver and try to install that (until now i only used the old driver from the CD). I did try to unplug the gpu and plug it back in (out of frustration, i guess that did more harm than good). So here I'm am, sad as f***, since I'm on vacation but can't play anything. I would realy apreciate it, if someone with some know-how or similar problems in the past could send me some advice! Thanks in advance!
