On Black Friday I bought a few new components for my new PC to complement the other stuff I had been saving for. Bought an Asus TUF Gaming X670e-Plus WIFI, 32 GB of Corsair DDR5-6000, Ryzen 5-7600X,among other things. Out of the gate I had a few issues with the memory as it wouldn't work at 6000 without varying 30-600 second post times. At 4800 it seemed to work normally, but I didn't pay for 4800. I ended up sending the memory to Corsair and they swapped it, although it took a month. Got the memory back, installed it and it's been good until yesterday my design program told me that I only have the minimum amount of RAM (16 GB) and it would recommend 32 GB or more, which is odd because I frequently use it and hadn't seen that message before. I looked in and the AuraSync was working on both modules normally so I fired up CPUID and sure enough it reported that only 1 module was reading. Ok I thought, maybe its loose. Opened the case press the lever back to remove the memory and it falls. The side of the DIMM slot broke and it doesn't securely hold the memory now. Called Asus and the agent said to send to them, if it's fixable it'll cost $200 or they'll charge me $300 for a new one if it's not. My first thought was to grab crazy glue and try to reattach the broken piece even if it worked but I couldn't remove the memory in the future. Then I thought I should ask the forum.

Okay, I've heard rumors about these monitors having bad QC, but this one I've had for about a year and it's been just great! I transplanted my monitor from it's factory stand to a fancy monitor arm. After taking off the stand, placing the monitor lightly on my bed, then slotting it on to my arm, it now no longer powers on. No status LED, no screen activity. Nothing. The troubleshooting steps that I've taken so far: I've switched what port of the UPS it's plugged in to. Switched the power cable. Held the power button for an inordinate amount of time. Unplugged all the other cables except the power cable, in hopes that one of them had shorted out and the monitor was in some kind of safety mode. I know that the cable is making contact and that something is happening inside the monitor, with just the monitor plugged in, my UPS reports a 3w power draw, with the monitor unplugged, no power draw. When I plug in to the back of the monitor, I can hear arcing between the contacts, I've never noticed that before, then again, I haven't unplugged this monitor much. I have all night and any help would be appreciated. I really love this monitor and if it's kaput, I don't think I can go back.

I Sold my old graphics Card because I needed the money. I got a used gtx 560ti on ebay as an interim solution. That didn't work because the gtx was broken. In Order to get it running I deleted the old graphic drivers and reseted the bios. The gtx560ti only booted 1/10 and then displayed for 2min max. So I switched a couple of times between the two cards. My old Card, without drivers, worked fine. Today I found a new gt710 for 35€ and threw the gtx560 in the bin. So I installed the gt710 and after 10 sec. the CPU debug LED started flashing. Now it won't boot with any Card. Checked the CPU, everything connected, no pins bend etc.. Why I suspect the broken card: I let it run over night after starting the driver installation and getting the 2min blackscreen. Sold my working graphics card last evening, so no way of checking before throwing in the gt710. Old setup worked for the last 15 months. NEVER CHANGE A RUNNING SYSTEM

Hello, since a few days my pc wont booting right. I then reseatet ram and cleared my cmos and got it to boot again all fine same with gaming. Now it just won't boot at all and I don't know what's wrong since I have no bios speaker. Can't even get into the bios anymore, I added a picture to where my pc goes and gets stuck there. I don't know if the information is helpful but my keyboard and mouse light up. I hope someone knows the issue. Thank you in advance. Got laptop that had an extra drive in it (the 850 Evo). It comes up as a Microsoft storage space in device manager and cant be initialized in disk manager or formatted it in DiskPart Disk part said it was cleaned successfully but still cant format or create a new volume. When I tried to create a volume it said that a disk specified is not dynamic. I also tried to create a primary partition and it said: DiskPart has encountered an error: A device which does not exist was specified. See the System Event Log for more information. I do that (bruh moment) It comes up with this: VDS fails to write boot code on a disk during clean operation. Error code: 800701B1@02070008 Is it doomed for the drive.

I was gaming NFS Playback with everything on ultra without Vsync at 84°C (temperature that GPU always stayed during gaming) and then everything turned off, after some tests I realized that the PSU won't turn on when connected to the 8-pin PCI input of the GPU, and when the PSU is on and I connect, it instantly turns off... Does someone have a hint if this is just some fuse from the GPU blown or might be something worst? Also, some days ago I opened it because I saw a tape with some numbers in the PCB (probably from an RMA of the first buyer) and after I closed it, I forgot to check if the fans turned correctly, now I saw that the middle one couldn't turn because its cable was blocking it... Well, at least this explained why I always got to those temps quickly... Just one last detail, when it worked if connected to PCI lane but not to those PCI power pins, two leds near it would blink, this doesn't happen now. Specs: GTX 1080Ti Gaming OC (Gigabyte) i5 6600k XFX XT500 500w (yes, the worst from that PSU tier list) Edit: I'm currently using my old GTX970 now with those same 8 pin PCI connectors and everything is working just fine. Some pins of the PSU seems a little burn. And the GPU opened, you can also see that tape with numbers on the top

My friend recently got a PowerColor 6900xt Red Devil Ultimate GPU, he never got it to work, we checked many different things, but this seems to be a problem, I am guessing the GPU won't work and needs to be RMA'd but just asking, is this beyond his ability to repair? I have attached two pictures, one with his card, has the missing pieces and the circle and one of a good card.

Hey, hoping that someone on this site has the knowledge to help me with this. So, i have had this K70 keyboard almost a year now, but just recently it started to do a strange thing. Every once in a while my keystrokes wont register, mostly happens when i press multiple buttons at once (for instance, strafe jumping in CS:GO) Whenever i do this it'll do one of two things, either not registrer any at all, or just one of the keystrokes. Does anyone by chance know what may be causing this? Thanks!

So I built myself a brand spanking new PC and everything actually worked! It was time to install Windows 10. Put in the disk did some things off a YouTube video I watched and installed Windows! I restarted the computer to make sure all was good. I launched into the file explorer when I noticed... it installed as 32 bit! I (thought I) needed 64 bit. As well as one of my partisans needed to be formatted (remember that). So I attempted a reinstall. When I got confused in the Custom install menu. So I decided "Never mind I will just live with 32 bit and figure out a different way to format. " But it wouldn't let me back in to windows. So I had to reinstall it. Then (because I was very lost and confused) I decided to format all the partisans I made. ALL OF THEM. So now I can not install windows on any of them. So since I had nothing on the HDD I decided to wipe the hard drive of anything. Let it do the thing for about an hour then said, "sorry, we ran into a problem while resetting your PC. I think I put my PC into a never ending pit. I think I need to get a new HDD now. Plz help

I have the same issue in after burner and idk what is up. I kinda want to under volt a bit so it would be great if someone could tell me what is wrong with it. Hello the last month or so my phone keept rebooting randomly not often but somtimes. About an hour ago this happened again but it hasn't stopped rebooting since it's stuck in a bootloop. The phone tries to turn on but fails and keeps starting over again. It ran out of battery and I was happy because it stopped. I plugged its power cable back in but it just started with that bootloop again. My phone is a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua and today is the last day I have warranty on this thing. I bought it on Amazon, should I send it back to them or to Sony directly if this is the only option. Need help fast thank you in advanced.

sorry for lack of punctuatipn or anybad spelling, im having to write this ob a realllllly old phone due to the issue basically, i was playing far cry r4 on my rig when a power cut happened. i was bored and decoded to open my case and clean it out while o can. i made sure not to dangwrpusly touch any components, just get rid of spme dust. i noticed thag i cpd smell burning coming from mt pc but whilst cleaning, saw no physical damage to components. aftwr finishing, and the power was back, i replugged in my rig only to have nothing happen when i turn it pn. the obly sign thaf it is on is a small blue led on the on button. np sound is there at all, nothing on the display. just a small light. what are your impressions and what has happwned. i have a hunch my psu overheated pr something due to lack pf airflow despite never having prior ossues. my rig is a it5 y6t5p0p0... ignore those lettwrs inbetween the numbers... as the processor. a gtx q1p0u7p0 gpu, a stock heat sink a rmt5t5p0x psu if ypu need informa!topn please say

Please help me! Please read it all if you post a comment to help.. Ok, so one morning at the beginning of summer I went downstairs to play on my PC, but when I got there my computer was off so, I pushed the power but nothing happened, the power button was just blinking. So I switched the power supply off, and then back on, and tried again. The computer turned on for about a second, I then heard a POP and smoke started rising from the power supply basement. I tried to get closer to see where the smoke was coming from. It smelled really funny so I then unplugged everything took it to my workbench and I plugged just the power again. It turned on for 2 seconds, and then I smelled that funny smell again. So I concluded my power supply blew or something of the sorts and pulled it out. It just so happened that day my family was going on a vacation, so I left it for 2 weeks. While on vacation because I was lazy and wanted to play my video games when I got home and not have to wait for the entire RMA process I just ordered a 30$ EVGA 500 Watt(original was 700 Watt bronze) power supply so when I got home I could just plug it in and keep playing... So I got home, I plugged it in and everything turned on and so I plugged it into my rig, but it wouldn't post to the monitor... but it did power up(all the LEDs turned on and all the fans started spinning, accept my graphics card cause it only spins when it gets hot) So I plugged in a DVI monitor(I think it's called that.) and it still did not work. So I made a post on LTT and you guys said to try it with other parts. Now I do t have any friends with a custom computer or anything so I took it to microcenter an hour away and asked what they thought, they said it was probably the motherboard so I bought a new motherboard and put it in and I tried it and again the same thing happened. So I took the motherboard back and got my money back the next day. That same trip I brought my computer with me to see what they said now... They recommended a diagnostic check from one of their engineers so I gave it to them and they took it I for 50$ and a week later I got it back and they said it was the motherboard. So I told them how I already tried that and they said it might be the CPU then so I took it home and went to summer camp for a month. When I returned I sent the motherboard and CPU for RMA later I got it back and I invited my friend over, he had built a PC a week earlier. I put everything back together and it did the same exact thing. Powers on and looks completely normal, but no post to either monitor. (Did do one thing different, it would not power off when I pushed and held the power but for well over a minute, and the reset button didn't work. Had to power off via power supply switch.) So I did more research added stuff up we t on sites and discovered my computer rig uses 490 watts and the PSU only gives 500 ~+-15% so I RMAed the original 700 Watt power supply. I just got it today and plugged everything in and the EXACT same thing happened. So now I'm well into the school year and all summer I have not had a working computer. (And I like video games and it's like the only thing I really own, besides my phone.) And the only two things I have not yet RMAed is my graphics card and my RAM. But I could just be some stupid thing like a switch or something like that. Anyways, if any of you could please help me(at least guess). That would be very helpful! Specs: Case: NZXT h440 Motherboard: MSI 970 gaming am3+ CPU: AMD FX-8350 RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16gb Graphics Card: Sapphire nitro RX-480 8gb Monitors: Samsung curved 27" monitor, some HP monitor that uses DVI Power Supplies: Original: EVGA 700 Watt bronze, not currently using EVGA 500 Watt White Storage: PNY 240GBP SSD, 1TB WD HDD Most of my parts is what microcenter had in stock on black Friday and combos I could make. P.S. if you don't see your comment as being that helpful then don't post it because my other 3 posts died that way because I think people saw like 2 replies to this topic and assumed it was fixed... P.S.S. Most small things or common troubleshooting things people normally do I have tried, I even bought and waited for a debugging tool that didn't fit.
