Hello all! I have found a INNOCN 40C1R with a damaged screen. The panel is BOE QV400VWB-N80. The generous guy is selling it for $15. I talked with INNOCN to see if they would know where I can get the part but I got mocking responses. One response was asking for the Facebook listing and another sent a laughing emoji at me. Some company -_- anyways I'm trying to find the screen itself to repair it my self. Any pointers of where I can go to do so?? P.S yes I know my claim as IT and HP seems dumb and Karen like to say lol.

Whats going on guys, short and snappy - My motherboard is a Asus Maximus VIII Formula. Simply, i have had two HDD's/SSD's break inside the space of a week whilst using this motherboard. I would really like any help/troubleshooting tips, ideas, knowledge GOD DAMN IT LINUS HELP ME! Okay, scenario 1) 500Gb sandisk II SSD installed, all working fine for about a week then suddenly caput, nothing - nothing in disk management, nothing in bios etc etc. thats gone back to sandisk for them to replace under warranty. No - This SSD did not work/picked up on any other system, i tried two friends systems and was not detected. MEANWHILE: a friend lent me his samsung evo 850 250gb... this worked fine for 2 weeks and is still working fine as i come onto scenario 2 (no im not keeping/ buying his hdd) Scenario 2) took the 3TB hdd from a working system and took the same working system PSU. New PSU installed (thought this may be the issue) all plugged in fine and nothing no spinning from my 3TB HDD which was working before. i cannot feel the platters spinning (no power maybe? mobo fried it?) so, moved it to my system and ASUS mobo and instantly no response from the HDD. Again, no - plugged it into friends systems and nothing. also - cannot feel the HDD spinning also - plugged it back into the original system, with a new psu to see if the old mobo etc would revive it for whatever reason and no - nothing at this point i also now have a 500gb m.2 ssd installed in my system and its working absolutely fine started up first time etc. Just to let you know i have tried it in different ports, and different cables etc. please help me i do not want to keep shelling out ££$$ for hdd's for them to be sub sequentially shot - any ideas on bios? any ideas on psu? any ideas on mobo? is it even possible for the sata port to fry a hdd/ssd? Cheers guys - a lost man.

I wasn't really sure where to post this topic, hope I chose the correct subforum. Anyway, the thing is a few days ago I had a crazy fun class at my University. It was a regular day in my Computer Architecture class until the teacher arrived to the room with a big perverse smile, and proceeded to explain what we'd do that day. It was about breaking computers. The group before us had mess with some old pc's and we had to repair them, find the possible errors, troubleshoot them and make them work. And then, it was our turn to break them for the next group. Of course, by "break" I don't mean irreversibly break them, just touch a few things here and there. I found the concept interesting so I decided it'd be good to share, and so I could tell what I made to the pc and also ask you: what would you have done to it? I did the following: Moved the graphics card from the PCI Express x16 to the PCI Express x4 slot Moved one stick of RAM to another channel (nulifying double channel), and set the other one almost well introduced into the slot. Connected the IDE cable from one port of the motherboard to another. Connected the HDD to the disk drive via a sata cable. Completely messed with the jumpers. Disconnected the chipset's fan. Disconnected the front pannel's buttons (on/off, reset...). P.S.: I attach a photo of the motherboard.

Currently I have a m.2 for my C, which somehow is almost full even though it's 256gb, no games so idk why. Anyway, rather than running games in 4k from a HDD, I'd prefer to load some AAA games a tad faster than carrier pigeon. Is there much real world difference between the 750 and 850? Not going to really use it for anything par gaming, no rendering / recording etc. Thank's for the help! James

Quantum Break is confirmed to be coming to Windows 10 on April 5th. The minimum and recommended specs have been released and both show DX12. Will this be the first complete title with DX12 support? Will be interesting to see how much performance and detail we'll get from the game http://www.gamespot.com/articles/quantum-break-pc-version-confirmed/1100-6434694/

What a way to start in LTT Community... Anyway, I had my Old-good NVIDIA Shield Portable since I guess a year now, and usint it was pretty awesome. I used to love the thing, and played almost everything I could on it... until the screen decided to not work 5 months later. Now, I'm having some serious concerns about how durable NV products are. So, what happened was that one day I was flipping through facebook and suddenly notticed that half of the touchscreen wasn't working. I didn't mind at all, since around that time facebook app was getting updated frequently, and it was common for it to just crash or make the system unresponsive. I closed the lid, and the next time I opened it, there was no output whatsoever. I tapped the buttons and I could hear the thing alive, doing something, but the screen was DEAD. I didn't apply for the warranty, because I'm not in the USA. So, the best Idea I could come up with was disassemble it and take a look at what would be causing that, and found that the entire flex for the screen ripped appart! Obviously, that's impossible to fix in any cheap way, and I was looking like crazy for a spare screen on almost every page I could find, but nobody sells spares for the Shield portable yet. Not even iFixit, or ebay, or Amazon, or <Inser your own obscure shopping webpage here>. There's no secret about the Shield Tablet's cracked corners (which I also own, and yes, 3 of the 4 corners are cracked, one badly) and now my question is, have you ever experienced some similar issue with the Shield Portable? If you own a Shield Tablet, how awful those cracks are, if any? Here, some pretty scary pictures of my poor Shield Portable.

Did the Supreme Court just do something beneficial? Well, of course they did. The SCOTUS only really cares about making rulings when the Constitution is being screwed around with, and lo and behold they've ruled since the constitution was being screwed with. I agree, their ruling makes sense. Can't strap GPS on someones person without getting approval first. It is, of course, a technicality as a ruling. Tracking will still happen, that tracking just won't be eligible for use in court. Not that all needs for tracking ever need to go to court, of course. http://gizmodo.com/supreme-court-rules-government-gps-trackers-can-break-f-1694717207

So I'm looking ahead to my second build build and i face a delima. My first build went perfectly, but i had my cousin to help me build it. During the build, he put in the cpu and now looking to my second build, he's over seas and not able to help out. Im worried about putting the cpu in myself as my hand are quite shaky, not tremors or anything big, but still noticeable and I'm worried that i might break the cpu pins if i align it wrong. Can cpu pins break by just mis-alignment, if not, how much force does it require for them to bend? Do you think i should go for it myself or just buy the parts and have it made for me? Oh and i plan on using a i5-4690 cpu if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Hi there! So I decided to get phantom glass on linus's good review and since he was pushing it so hard. First impressions, It was very easy to put on, and I barely noticed it was there aside from the cutouts for the camera, proximity sensor and speaker. Feels just like the original glass, and there were no bubbles. Firstly I would like to say that I am very careful with my devices and I have never broken a screen before. Within a week after getting the screen protector, it chipped at the bottom of the device. It also chipped at the top corner. This second chip was larger. It cracked from there clear across the screen shortly after I noticed it. So I got a warranty replacement. I am glad to say that it was very easy to get a replacement, and the warranty procedure was painless. Sadly though, the same thing happened to the replacement, in about the same timeframe. So I went 2 screen protectors in less than a month. Again I want to stress that I am very careful with my phones. I'm not sure how the chips got there I just want you to know that I was being cautious with it. Conclusion: Very easy to break, Buy with caution -Dave

I was looking to buy a gaming mouse and at first i was certain i was going to get a Razer Naga 2014 (mostly play RPGs and MMOs). I watched and read some reviews just to make sure, and this mouse was exactly what i wanted, but then i read some user comments... It appears the quality of the mouse isn't very good, which disappointed me. I am now using Logitech MX518 which is 5+ years old and still works awesome. I am still going to use it when ever I play FPS, but i want something with more buttons for RPGs. The alternative is Logitech G600 or something else maybe? I would appreciate if you write your experience with Naga and opinions on it, that will really help me decide what to do. I have been saving for a good mouse for some time now, wouldn't want it to break after a year of use.

I'm gonna take a break from LTT, pretty busy lately and I don't use my computer that much anymore. I don't know how long the break will be, but when I have time I'll be back.

So windows allows you to essentially redirect one exe to another by adding a registry key. Imagine if you tried to do that to explorer.exe......... I can tell you that it works. I can also tell you that safe mode doesn't help. What happens is that the system boots into a black screen with only a cursor. Win+? doesn't work, although Ctrl+Alt+Del does, and the only way I can find to fix it is to boot into safe mode with CMD and open regedit through there. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00;This file will replace explorer.exe with shutdown.exe[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\explorer.exe]"Debugger"="shutdown.exe /p /f /t 0"

So I recently changed my motherboard from a biostar to an asus as it had more space for expansion such as pci and ram slots. I also changed the CPU cooler along with it. I went on after installing everything to try Sanctum 2 as I hadn't played it yet. I played for about 10 minutes before the game froze and stopped working, and programs such as Steam start bugging out for instance the minimize/maximize/close buttons in the top right of steam disappear and text starts going green/pink as well as icons, and graphics artifacts also start appearing. This has been occurring for a while now and everytime it happens I close down everything and restart the pc via the start menu. I am skeptical whether this issue is due to hardware or software. I have tried Windows Memory Diagnostic but there are no problems there. I have added some more fans to my comp to keep it cooler but to no avail. Any ideas what is wrong? I will try and get some screenshots if need be. PC specs: -Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 mobo (recently changed from Biostar A780L3C) AM3+ socket -AMD Phenom II X4 945 (Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 cooler) -AMD Radeon Sapphire HD 7790 1GB GDDR5 OC Edition -Win7 Ultimate -CiT 400W Dual 12V Rail PSU -4GB (1x4GB) Crucial DDR3 memory -500GB Seagate Barracuda HDD That should be everything. Thanks.

Hello all of you gorgeous people. ;) System Use: Over-clocking, programming, intensive gaming, some video and photo editing with Adobe. I am going to be building a new PC and am a bit worried on how it will turn out. Also would a 3930K Intel CPU with an Asus Rampage IV Extreme motherboard be better? Specifications of Z87 ( X79 would be just 3930K and Rampage IV Extreme ): Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 800D. MotherBoard: Asus Maximus VI Extreme. CPU: Intel I7 4770K. GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780. Sound Card: Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus or Asus Xonar Essence STX. RAM: 2x8 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum. Power Supply: 1.2 Kilowatt Corsair AX1200i Operating System: Thinking of Windows 8 Professional 64bit or Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. SSD Boot Drive: Samsung 840 Pro 128GB. Mass Storage Drive: Western Digital Velociraptor 1TB 10,000 RPM. Bay Drive: AeroCool Touch 2100, Touch LCD Fan Controller. Optical Drive #1: Asus 24X CD/DVD Burner. Optical Drive #2: Asus 14X Blue Ray Writer. Playback Software: CyberLink PowerDVD13 Ultra. Thermal Compound: Antec Formula 6 Nano Diamond Thermal Compound. Aftermarket Case Fans: Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition High Static Pressure x? 120mm Fans. To Find List: Lighting: Remote Controlled Multi-Colored LED Strips. I am new to this I want a sealed 360mm radiator liquid cooling loop for the CPU only ( at the moment ), GPU capable. This will most likely be edited later in the future. I am worried for it seems like a lot for me because I have never built one before but I have watched every LTT video. :P Will the 800D be able to handle all of this without modding? I don't think I will be able to do a good tubing job or good wiring job with sleeved cables and everything. Thanks for reading!
