Will a rtx 3070 be a good match for a 2600x at 1080p? Well if I can even find one in stock... I know that higher resolution requires more gpu power and cpu starts to relax, but will I loose too much performance if don't upgrade cpu aswell? My target is to run all games at the highest settings @1080p @144hz. I mostly play Fps games but I don't care if it is slow-paced game I want same results XD. Specs: Ram trident z rgb 3600mhz CL18 currently running @3200mhz timmings 18 22 22 22 42 cpu: Ryzen 5 2600x Boosting at 4.0 - 4.1 Ghz all cores Gpu: Gtx 1080 Fe

Worth upgrading from i5-8400 to i5-9600k?
RealAxm3d posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
My Cpu bottlenecks my GTX 1070 and i watched now some Benchmarks for the i5-9600k and would like to upgrade to it from a i5-8400. is this worth? -
I just tested a G PRO (2021- wireless) against my G403 (2018 wired) and don't think I'm full of it lol. This was not pertaining to the sensor though, but rather double-click speeds. I have one question for everyone: Has anyone been able to do 10 double clicks in a burst with a G PRO mouse faster than .2 seconds per double click? I upgraded from a Wired G403 and can no longer double click at my .040 speed. It is worth noting the technique I use to double click involves my finger falling like a guillotine on the left click button for the first click; then squeezing normally after it lands, for the second click. If done right, you can achieve insane double-click speeds with this method. Unfortunately, the G Pro's double-click speed bottlenecks my performance. The first 1 or 2 double clicks seem to work fine at about .040 seconds, but the rest in my 10-click burst appear to be capped at .200 seconds. I'm a little bummed because this would have been the perfect mouse for me, but since I need to double click a lot in my games, this weird bottleneck is a deal-breaker for me. Its almost as if it is sending my clicks in a batch, and get s bogged down. Does anyone have the same problem or a solution? I am using this site to test my double-click speed: https://codepen.io/blink172/pen/vERyxK. I hope this helps

Hey guys I need help choosing a gpu upgrade, not buying it right now because of their crazy prices(but disregard that for now) I am looking for a new gpu upgrade for my system and I want the latest gpu I can have for my system without wasting any money but still getting the best performance possible. my current system is Asus z87-k (mobo) i7 4770k 4.0 ghz (cpu) Cooler master 240L V2 (cooler) 2x 4gb ram (1333mhz) 2x 4gb ram (1660mhz) Gtx 760 Hcg 620m 620w semi-modular(psu) 2x Intel s3500 246gb ssd It is in a full tower case so size is not an issue. Don’t really care if it is Amd or Nvidia. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I’m new to the forum and relatively new to building PC’s but I plan to build a rig with a Ryzen 9 3900x paired with a 3070 running 32GB of ram. I’m wondering if there would be any bottlenecking between the CPU and GPU and maybe even switch to a Ryzen 7? I’m not so sure so I would like to know before I green light this build, THANKS!

hello my dear friends, i have a question. i am a cs:go player and i wanna have good fps in game. last night, i was thinking 'bout upgrading my gpu to a 3070 / 3060 Ti but i have a problem. my specs ain't great. specs are : *i7-4770K *gigabyte z87x-ud3h(no pcie 4.0) *16 GB of ddr3 1600mhz ram *cooler master thunder 650w psu no 80+ i doubt that my pc will not be bottlenecked. but it's probably a good idea to ask it to experts. so pc wizards out there : will my pc get bottlenecked cuz it has an old 4770k with (maybe) low lanes and my 650w psu? pls hit me up.

Hello , recently i just saw some big bottle necking issues with my pc . Everytime i play either valorant or apex (i don't play on high or stuff like that , but i am on 144hz monitor) my pc seems to have a burp from time to time , my audio cuts out , discord doesn't record my mic anymore but the games seem to work fine with some hicups from time to time. Valorant its the most obvious one where the frames drop once a round for 1-2 seconds . My current parts are : i5-7400 (https://www.amazon.com/Intel-BX80677I57400-Core-Desktop-Processors/dp/B01MSTDS3N/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=intel+core+i5-7400&qid=1603972245&sr=8-1) 16gb of ram on 2600 nvidia geforce gtx 1060 6gb dual fan (https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-GeForce-Dual-Fan-Graphics-DUAL-GTX1060-O6G/dp/B01JHQT1SE) seasonic power supply 650 watts matx mobo asus h110m-r ( the closest thing i could find on amazon is this https://www.amazon.com/Asus-Micro-DDR4-Motherboards-H110M-K/dp/B017UL7NKQ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=asus+h110m-r&qid=1603972655&sr=8-1) The only part that remained from the original pc was the mobo, as the other parts i put them on myself (i bought the pc as a prebuild for college cuz poor stud vibes) I've attached a diag just in case .... I'm thinking that the mobo its the problem but i'm not that techy tbh . Thanks in advance , and thanks for reading despide my crappy english . DxDiag.txt

I installed my new WD Black SN770 1TB SSD into my motherboards PCIe Gen4 slot and it's not working correctly. It's slow and any files I transfer to it slows to a crawl. The WD Black SN750 1TB PCIe Gen3 that was installed previously worked perfectly fine. I included a screenshot of task manager, CrystalDiscInfo and CrystalDiskMark and a screen recording I posted on YouTube. If anyone could help me figure this out, I would greatly appreciate it. System Specs: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus (MS-7C56) Ryzen 7 3700x TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR4 32GB 3600MHz (2x16GB) EVGA RTX 2060 SC Ultra Gaming 6GB GDDR6 PCIe Gen4 WD Black SN770 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD Cooler Master MasterWatt 550 550W 80 Plus Bronze Semi-Modular Power Supply

I don't know why this happens but i tried 2 different dual rams and both have the same problem. In the image i have 8GB of ram 2 sticks of 4GB first i thought it was bios problem but not then i changed my motherboard to a 16GB max and it's the same. My PC: CPU: Athlon ii x4 645 Motherboard: MSI 880GM-E41 Ram: juhor 4GB 1600mhz x2 Graphic card: gt 710 (yeah) And i think that's all you need, the ram is around that number 4.5GB and sometimes i listen to music and uses a max of 5.1GB The thing that in games that really needs ram like project zomboid it caps on 4.5GB of ram, and when i had 6GB of ram while playing dota it uses almost 5.6 of ram.

Hello, My brother got pretty good system for him, but he also got a problem. In games his processor came up to 100% ussage and idk why. He plays on lowest details but should be cappable of max settings in some games. When game is running, the cpu ussage is on 100% and gpu just on 50 to 60% so its a clear bottlenek but idk what can be the problem. No other apps open etc. Temp seems good. Sorry for my english and thanks for any kind of help. Spec. CPU: intel core i5 - 9400F GPU: gtx 1660 super RAM: 16Gb Win. 11

Hello (Graphics card) LTT forum, Hold on to your hat or headset because there is a lot of questions coming at you. I want to upgrade my GPU from my old 960. System info, I5-8600k and 16 GB RAM. (will need later) I was looking at the RTX 2070 SUPER and the RTX 2070 and noticed there wasn't a huge speed difference between the cards. Is it worth saving the 80$ or so on the 2070 or is it better in terms of future proofing to buy the 2070 SUPER? And it doesn’t stop there, because a friend pointed out I maybe would run into some bottleneck issues. Is it really a thing with modern day hardware or at least the CPU/GPU combination I am planning to make? If so, should I consider the 2060 SUPER. I would assume a 2-year-old 6-core processor wouldn’t run into a problem with the 2070’s, but I am not sure. I hope someone out there have a good answer, it would be much appreciated. (btw sorry for potential bad English, it is not my first language)

Good evening everyone, it’s my first post here :). I need help. I’m a streamer on twitch, I upgraded my pc throughout a year and a half to now that I have an i9 9900k 24GB of RAM Seasonic focus 750 80+ platinum PSU and an RTX 2070 gaming x twin frozr 8gb. I recently purchased Watch Dogs Legion. I was noticing my cpu usage was low but gpu would spike to 100 on any setting. I monitor it with HWMonitor and supposedly I have high gpu usage. But my temps are fine. No problem there. But I started doing research and they say it’s an option that I’m bottlenecking. Idk how to find out or what to do. I invested a lot of money in this rig cause I’m working to do twitch long term. sorry for the long message. any help will be appreciated and helpful:)

Hey, just had a questions and would love anyone's opinion on them! Right now I have a pc with a Rtyzen 7 1700, GTX 1060, and 16gb of ram, with a 1440p 144hz monitor. I generally play lower spec games, or turn the resolution of the game to 1080p, so I haven't had too many problems with framerate. Oh, I am also using the stock cooler. I built this on a tight budget, and thought the stock cooler would do when I built it back in 2017. Okay, so now that's out of the way, let's get down to business. I recently watched the new water cooling video that Linus made, and after I watched the bottle necking video. Then I thought that my gpu definitely could bottleneck my rig. So I decided to ask you guys! Should I upgrade my GPU and what would be best for my resolution? I have been mostly playing a lot of minecraft and cs, and occasionally some other games. The big problem is running minecraft with shaders is really laggy, and generally gives me below 30 fps. Last thing, when I upgrade my gpu, would it be fine leaving the stock cooler, or should I buy a cheaper AIO? I was thinking about getting this evga one for 115; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N16CAKN/?coliid=ICCNVEW524R64&colid=2D8GMMPOLRE91&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Thank you for your time

Which one is worth a buy? Brand: ASUS TUF AMD Ryzen 5 3550H - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 - 512GB SSD at $879.99 or AMD Ryzen 7 R7-3750H, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 16GB DDR4, 256GB PCIe SSD + 1TB HDD at $999.99 both has 15.6" 120 HZ display. I am worrying about too bad bottlenecking. Looking for: A laptop around $800 to $900 which has 1660 ti level performance, 16GB ram, 512GB SSD or 1TB HDD. Games that I want to play: I don't play too many AAA titled games. Want to play Red Dead 2, Destiny 2, COD, GTA V etc.

My wife is loves to play ark, and I enjoy upgrading or tinkering with PC's. We're tight on money, but with black Friday approaching, and Christmas, I'm trying to help upgrade her pc. She's currently using a pre-built, with an i5-7400, 16gb ram (highest speed I could use with her mobo), 1060 3gb graphics card. I just bought her a new cpu cooler and ssd, but I'm trying to figure out if upgrading the cpu will help as much as upgrading the gpu to either a 1660 or 570/580. She has two 1080p 60 mhz monitors with freesync. Should I upgrade the cpu? What are your opinions on the gpu?
