I've heard that the 3070 is vram bottlenecked, but is the 12gb 4070? If it is, will it still be fine playing really vram intensive games, or is the vram bottleneck bad?

The 7700x's specs say that it produces 105w of heat, but does that mean that i wont be bottlenecked using a 105w cooler? I've heard that modern cpus will turbo their clock speeds right before they start overheating, so would i be missing out on performance by getting a cooler that cookie cutter fits the wattage heat output? I am going to be playing a reallly cpu intensive game called beamng drive which has soft-body physics simulation. The current cpu cooler im gonna get has 265W heat dissipation power according to its specs. Hey, what should i do? Get a 4060 with a amd ryzen 7500f? i think it's a great combo. Or pay a little more and get a 4060 ti with a amd ryzen 7500f or a amd ryzen 7600? Will i experience any bottlenecks? Thanks

Getting (not necessarily stable) down to 90/100 fps in cs2 (dm Vertigo) with these specs (HP Omen prebuilt) cpu: i9 11900k gpu: 3080 (10gb vram) ram: 2x16gb Kingston HyperX Fury I'm hating the hp bloatware (and the fact its locking advacned bios settings from me), so looking to build my own PC. Wanting to use some of my parts tho, and wondering what the bottleneck here seems to be. Probably CPU? More info screenshots attached. Also: If I want to have my pc be essentially a custom built (i.e. no remainding crumbs of influence by hp making my life slightly less comfortable :3 ) I figure all I need to do really is change the motherboard ? (& uninstall bloatware)

SPEC Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 22000) (22000.co_release.210604-1628) CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5650 @ 2.67GHz (12 CPUs), ~4.1GHz MEM: 24576MB RAM DDR3 ECC GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GIGABYTE AORUS PSU: EVGA 600 W1, 80+ WHITE 600W, 3 Year Warranty, Power Supply 100-W1-0600-K1 MB: ASUS P6T WS PRO ISSUE My GPU and CPU in CS2 match work load is about 30%-50% all the time, my fps as you can see is about ~100 with this spec. What im missing in this situation is this CPU with this OC bottlenecks the GPU so hard? Or something else i missing here? ***Sorry for my bad english and mistakes first post in this forum, if you can help please write your thoughts about this situation. I can give more information if needed.

Hello I just had a quick question. I am planning doing a new build with the 4070ti super and was planing on apiring it with the 7800x3d but when I put this combo in a bottleneck calculator it said this would be a bad combo and recommended tbe 7950x3d should I spend more for the higher end cpu or just go for the 7800x3d with the boddleneck.

Going to be upgrading my GPU soon and only recently learned about bottlenecking so bare with me. For my current build I have a GTX 1070 and a Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz, but I am going to be upgrading to a RTX 4080 (Or RTX 4080 Super depending on prices). I know the Ryzen 7 2700X will be a bottleneck for my new GPU but if I upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 9 5950X will it still bottleneck my new RTX 4080? (I am going to be playing and working at 4K if that makes a difference) (The max I can upgrade my CPU to at the moment is the Ryzen 9 5950X due to my motherboard) Also another bonus question, my 2700X has a base clock of 3.7Ghz while the 5950X has a base clock of 3.4Ghz but can be overclocked to 4.9Ghz while the 2700X can only be overclocked to 4.3Ghz. Hi Guys. I recently bought a new pc with an i7-12700k, RTX 3060 and 32gb DDR4. I've had my current PC for 5 years and it's on it's last legs. My new pc is due to arrive in the coming days however i put the specs into a bottleneck calculator and it says i'll have a 20% CPU bottleneck. Is this really bad? Thanks.

GPU an CPU benchmarks run perfectly but in games i get near 100% CPU utilization and 40% GPU and about half the fps then what is expected. Hello all! My dad's pc is nearing its 10 year anniversary, and I am helping him spec out a new one. Other than web browsing, the pc will be used exclusively for 4K video editing. No gaming at all, not even a little. (:c) TL;DR: Is a rtx 3050 a really bad choice (bottleneck) in combination with a i7-14700k, if the rig will never be used for gaming? Fast render times is not priority no.1 if it means saving a few hundred dollars. The budget is pretty high, and these are the specs so far: CPU: Intel i7-14700k GPU: Asus RTX 3050 8gb MBO: ASUS Prime Z690-A RAM: Corsair 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 5600MHz SSD (x2): WD Black SN770 500GB Gen 4 HDD: WD Red PRO 8TB 7200rpm 256MB Cooler: DeepCool AK400 Zero Dark Plus PSU: ASUS TUF Gaming 750W Gold Case: Fractal Design Focus 2 Solid This will total in about $2k, which is about as far as he wants to go. He edits only in Vegas Pro with little GPU acceleration, so I figured allocating more money to RAM and CPU would be better. I still think so, but seeing a 3050 next to an 14700k... it just kind of feels wrong. xd What do you all think? Is this a good move, or should I balance it out? It will be a massive upgrade anywho; he will be coming from a i7-4770, a gtx 660 and 16gb RAM. Thank you beforehand!

I currently have this build: MS ARMOR V700 case 2x8gb Hyperx Fury RGB 3200MHz AMD R5 3600 Aorus Elite b550m Sapphire Nitro+ R9 380 2GB GDDR5 2x500gb hdd and 240gb ssd. Cobra Power 500w 80plus brozne My question is will GPU get damaged of bottleneck, if i will it a few months in this build until i buy a new GPU? It has normal temps but i have to underclock it. If i dont i have to put fans to the same temps are. I was thinking rx 6600, or the lowest option rx 570/580 8gb. And also, what parts should i upgrade next? Everything is new expect gpu, psu and disk drives. I owned that before.

Hello, I just recently built a new pc. And I was a bit worried if my cpu is bottleneckning my gpu. Since I just assumed that the ryzen 5 7600x would work good with the 4070ti since both are relatively new and fast gaming components. Currently I play on 1080p but might buy a 1440p monitor since I understand that the 4070ti is better running on 1440p games. Hi all, I’m an amateur PC gamer from the Netherlands and during the COVID lockdown I built my first gaming rig. I recently got Jedi: Survivor and have been enjoying the game so far. I have a 165 Hz 1440p gaming monitor from Dell and would like to play games like this at 1440p with preferably 80+ FPS (right now I am getting between 40 and 60 on medium to high settings). For me the game is definitely still enjoyable but I was just wondering what PC part would be wise to upgrade first to improve the performance? My specs right now are: GPU: RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X RAM: 2x8GB 3200 MHz DDR4 (HyperX FURY) Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming B550M-PLUS Wifi PSU: NZXT C650 650W ATX PSU Is my CPU perhaps bottlenecking my GPU? What would you guys recommend?

Hi, I’m planning to sell my old GT 1030 (I know ) and to test if it’s still working, I paired it with a Ryzen 5 5600 CPU with updated drivers and getting about 40fps on Dota 2. I know it’s a bottleneck and the performance, as expected, is not okay. I browsed some YouTube benchmarks of GT 1030 paired with a more balanced CPU and they're getting more than 60fps or better than my current test combo. This means that the GPU is bottlenecking my CPU, right? If the GT 1030 is paired with a lower CPU, it would perform better, right? I’m just wondering.

Ive been looking for a long time to get a new CPU because im pretty sure that my current CPU (ryzen 7 5700g) is bottlenecking my GPU (MSI 6800XT). I am not 100% sure as every time I use a bottleneck calculator it varies. I have been looking and am thinking about getting a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Any thoughts/ suggestions? I have a pc that started as a prebuilt which I have done some upgrading to. It came with an i7 10700f, which I am still rocking. I bought a 3060 ti to replace the original gpu (yes, I replaced the psu to make sure it's high quality), and Amazon sent me a 4070 by mistake. So, now I have a 4070 with my i7 10700f. This isn't necessarily a terrible pair, but I think there is some performance left on the table. In demanding games - namely Jedi: Survivor - I notice when I enter new areas or when I'm in a large open area, there is some stuttering. My frames sit around 75-80 on average on high-ultra settings, but the stuttering is a little annoying. I'm not an expert, but I have a feeling this is a cpu issue. Can someone smarter than me tell me if that is accurate, or if there is something else that might cause that? If it's a cpu underperformance issue, then my idea is to upgrade from the 10700f to an i9 10900k. This is the best cpu that my motherboard is compatible with. Is it worth the upgrade for a bit better performance and perhaps some extra future-proofing? I would like for my pc to last as long as the 4070 is viable, and the main issue I see with that besides being stuck with ddr4 ram is that my cpu might not age well. I know the 10900k is an older chip as well, so ideally if I really want a future-proof machine I wouldn't buy a 3 or 4 generation old cpu. I don't really want to change the motherboard, though. Is there enough performance increase between those two cpus to warrant the change, and is the 10900k good enough to get by for 4-5 more years? If the answer is maybe, at what price (usd) would you say that maybe becomes a yes? I have a feeling people will say this simply isn't worth it, and that's fine. I'm just not knowledgeable enough to make that decision entirely by myself. Thanks! -
Howdy! Currently putting together a mid tier PC together and money is not an issue I'm just looking for lower power consumption with solid 1080p performance. I already have an i5 12600k and was planning on pairing it with an RTX 4060 as anything above that would be overkill for what I do. I chose the 4060 over the 3060 just because of the slight performance increase and more importantly for me, lower power consumption vs the 3060. either way the real question is: Will 3200MHZ ram be enough speed? I just happen to have it lying around and it works with the system but I want to get the best RAM speed so I don't risk losing performance at all. And being a bottleneck noob if you will I want to know if I should buy faster RAM like switch the platform to DDR5 even if it would benefit. I hope that all makes sense let me know if you need more info

Right now I could get a Ryzen 5600 along with a RX 6800 non xt, the gpu being $410 new. But I was wondering if the 5600 would bottleneck the 6800, because I will be playing at 1080p. Should I go for a 6700xt? or a slightly better cpu. This is a budget build of around $950.

Should I consider upgrading? If I do, I can't go above 9th gen due to the LGA1151 limitation. My only other option is to fully commit and upgrade the motherbaord as well so I can accommodate 10+ gen CPUs.

Hello, I ve recently got a 3070 paired with a ryzen 5 5600g and 32gb of corsair Ram 3600 mhz. In games like valorant i reach 600 fps in 1080p but when i start moving my cpu latency goes way up and I lose about 200 300 fps and i go to like 300 fps. I tested 4k on my tv and my fps stays rlly stable to 250 300 and my cpu latency stays stable as well. I tried many things but im considering that my cpu is struggling to keep up and its bottlenecking, bcs I should get like 400/450 fps average when im playing and its under load and also the cpu latency goes up and when it goes my fps goes down. Example 4ms cpu latency, 1ms render latency 600fps i move or shot a bit 8/9 ms cpu latency, 1 ms render latency 300 fps. Since valorant is a cpu heavy game and im planning to stay on 1080 p on my benq zowie 240 hz is it worth Considering and upgrade to a ryzen 7 5800x or a ryzen 9 5900x that bottleneck less on cpu heavy load a 3070. Thx in advance.
