Hello guys! I was interested to see how complete the information was from the Tech Quickie channel, so we took all of the video transcripts and set up an AI search engine and chatbot for them using Arguflow. I think this actually be a pretty solid learning aid for tech novices. Check out the live apps at ltt-search.arguflow.ai and ltt-chat.arguflow.ai. It’s actually quite cool, from the search results you can even navigate to the exact spot in the video where that particular transcript came from: You can also chat with the search results and ask ChatGPT questions about them to get further guidance and help if things don’t make quite sense or are only tangentially relevant. Using the chatbot UI you can even get ChatGPT to search on your behalf and link to the relevant results if you’re too lazy to search yourself lol. What do you guys think about this tool, would you use it?

Google bard is interesting, finally rolling out and able to be used by more and more people. Google bard is not based off of chat gpt and is quite interesting because it uses your past conversation to provide an answer and can hold a conversation quite well

Hey guys! First post here, I thought about putting it in servers but this seems like more of a networking issue than anything else. So, I am trying to set up a spare PC I have as a machine for a Minecraft server and a Discord bot. The main thing stems from issues with configuration with the Minecraft server. I set up the server and it worked for a day, then the IP address changed and the PC lost connection to the internet, shutting down both the bot and the server. A little info about what I did while setting up the server: Went into Adapter settings and set the IP (192.168.0.192), Subnet (255.255.255.0) , Gateway (192.168.0.1) and both DNS (Google) to manual and filled those in -After doing this ipconfig /all no longer showed a lease start or end and displayed all those numbers correctly. I went into my router and configured port forwarding for port 25565 with both TCP and UDP I went into my PC's firewall and set rules for inbound and outbound for port 25565 in both TCP and UDP I had to fiddle with router firewall to actually get port 25565 open but eventually it worked. Fast forward a day, I came home from work and the server and bot were offline. Checked the PC and it had no internet connection. ipconfig /all displayed 2 different IPv4 IPs: Autoconfiguration IPv4 address showed 192.168.0.242 (Preferred) IPv4 address showed 192.168.0.192 (Duplicate) Changing the router's port forward rule to go to 192.168.0.242 fixed the internet problems and brought back my server and bot. My question is how can I prevent this in the future? The setup I am using is: CODA-4589-RES gateway Ryzen 5 5600x MSI MPG B550 Gaming Windows 10 Let me know if you need any other information! Hi. As mentioned above im debating using an Intel NUC or something along the lines to host games like valheim/minecraft/etc(not at the same time), different bots and a home server i can store stuff on. I want to be able to run it 24/7 (with 24/7 rated drives or similar) Im currently running one rpi 3 and its running out of memory and cpu power constantly. Being new to hosting things myself and overwhelmed by all the different options i have turned to ltt forum for help lol. What do you guys recommend? My budget is $100-$300. Thank you

The primary developer (a.k.a. Eric) really seems to know what he is doing, especially as this WordPress news article from his alma mater states that the developer now works at Susquehanna International Group, a privately held global trading and technology firm. Furthermore, if this 2019 report is anything to go by, then "high-frequency trading [a.k.a. HFT] represents about 50% of trading in US equity markets [today]," and very often (if not all of the time) HFT is software-automated. 2. Note that Eric (the primary developer) recommends but does not require that the bot be installed on a Pi, since the bot if deployed will be running 24/7. 3. As Eric states in the README, "it is [ultimately] up to online retailers to combat [scalpers]," and if this Tom's Guide news article is anything to go by, then open-source bots like this is likely our best bet at the moment. Also note that this bot does not automate the checkout process as well, and since scalpers tend to be lazy, scalpers will continue to much more likely use "premium paid-for" solutions such as the infamous Carnage Bot. 4. As a huge fan of the open-source model, I love it any time when open-source software truly gets put to good use. P.S. I didn't put this in "Tech News" since Tom's Hardware already reported about this at the beginning of last month, and I felt that it was also appropriate to put this in a separate thread as the original thread discussing ways to combat scalpers is rather old.

Hey yall good people So I was helping out a friend and while I have a good discord knowledge--- installing a custom bot into a specific channel on a public server and somehow limiting access to that channel until they've met ( blank ) requirement--- isn't something I know how to do on an advanced level. The bot is already being made and will be given to me to install, I'm just missing the steps inbetween. I know about server subscriptions and such but I was wondering if there is an easier route that im missing, to, again, install a custom bot into a specific private channel on a server I manage and crucially is there a way to invite loads of (specific) users at once into this channel without having to manually assign roles to access the channel. Thanks a lot in advance, hoping this made sense.

A bot replied to an old comment. The name and picture looked identical and I couldn't differentiate it. Knowing this was a scam reported several comments when I decided to report the account. Instead of just accepting a report, YouTube forced me to open this on browser, report it again, add the URL of the account it is impersonating and when I add the URL, it refuses to find the account. The level of idiocy and careless is insanem

Hello! I've used free bots until now, but they often lack a specific function, or are just plain unreliable and bad. How would I be able to host a premade bot (so I wouldn't have to code my own) and just host it directly on my own pc whenever I need it? Certainly it should be easy to just get a bot and host it yourself, or not. I couldn't find any tutorials for this, that is why I'm here. Any help is highly appreciated! -Crafting

Hello, I started creating a bot for Twitch, I'm currently facing a issue where the bot is unable to view messages and I have no idea how to fix it. Hello everyone, my dad and I were theorizing about random topics and we came up with an idea for bots that exist on a computer solely for the purpose of generating views for a website and to click on ads on said website. They would have to lightweight enough to run multiple instances (500 or more) on the same computer, in addition I think they would need their own external IP addresses (possibly running through TOR). The idea is to have these bots click on ads on the page and generate revenue for the clicks on the ads (is that how this works?). Is this even possible? Is it even legal? I appreciate any input on this topic as I think its a great idea, but am confused as to how exactly it would work. Thanks, -MadRussian42

So, I have a project in which I want a bot I'm working on (My first actual python program ever) to tweet a message or image to a user that uses its keyword (@bot_name_here - I still don't know the name of it yet.) I'm using Python 2.7 I think (Whatever your stock Ubuntu 18.10 Distro comes with) and am fairly new to the language. I have installed Tweepy (Which works fine.) and the program goes fine until I try to make a loop that is supposed to make sure that the bot doesn't spam people. It is supposed to keep a record of the users it has tweeted to and then compare it to the list that was just received for any matches in the file and then them be skipped by the bot. My bot is from what I can tell reading both of them and then either accepting the matches and continuing the process or completely ignoring all of them at this point. Hello! I invited Groovy Bot on my Discord server, and when I try to play a video/song from youtube with the command "-play [title]", it always gives me this error: Received unexpected response from YouTube. Unexpected character ('<' (code 60)): expected a valid value (number, String, array, object, 'true', I have tried to kick Groovy off the server and put him back it, but I got the same result. Hey So, I wanted to rent a vServer for a TeamSpeak Server (don't say I should use Discord), a SinusBot and two WordPress Sites and I dont know how much vRAM and how many vCores I should rent for it to work properly on Windows or Linux(wich i dont understand completly). Thanks a lot

An employee was quoted as saying My thoughts? It is sad when ever jobs are cut, especially if its a merger, as you would have thought the jobs would still be needed in the new formed company. Ok now this is frikin interesting. I found this picture of the article that shows that quake 3 is getting smarter than actual real people? Now watha heck So a guy did set a server 4-5 years ago with 16 bots and he did forget about it. Now he went to check it and the 16 bots were just standing still without a single movement. Why? Since their A.I learn from actual players they establish best tactics that you can possibly get. And guess what? They didn't fight because they *thinked* and realized that if no one fights, no one will get killed, so they were standing still. So player joined the game, and they were still doing nothing (he was monitoring it with a program before he joined) and then he started shooting and killed one of the bots (the gamemode was normal deathmatch without teams) and they didn't attack themselves, but they all went for the player and killed him almost instantly. And then he checked the logs of the bots and guess what? they were 512 FRIGGIN MEGABYTES here is the pic of the thread http://i.imgur.com/dx7sVXj.jpg But now this is extremly interesting and shows how tech evolves tooooo fast, and in near future we would get real life AI and even better than real humans themselves! First things first, I’m not a scalper, I’m not a miner, I’m just a normal dude who wants a 3070. I’ve been trying since January but to no avail. Recently, high school has been taking up more and more of my time and I just started my first job which means I have a lot less time to sit around and camp for cards. That being said, I know bots are frowned upon but I have no other options right now. Does anyone have any suggestions on what bot I should use to set up on my current rig. I’m only doing this so I can get a card. Avian I’m not a scalper or miner. Please help.
