I'm not very technical and just looking for some friendly pointers. If my inquiry seems too ridiculous, I apologize for wasting your time. Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade my home theatre system since I recently upgraded my TV. I got the Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA XR A80L OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV and it's being great. With all the new bells and whistles that I have been enjoying, I decided to invest in a surround system for as well. I have only ever used Sony systems but I saw the Bose - Smart Ultra Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Voice Assistant and it looks really nice. Should I go in that direction, I would also get the base module and the satellite speakers as well. So, what I really want to know is whether I will lose some functionality and I won't be able to get everything out of my TV. Eg, I think my tv has this feature where it syncs with my current sound system (Sony - HT-S400 2.1ch Soundbar with powerful wireless Subwoofer) and works with the Tv's own speakers thereby allowing it to produce sounds from even behind the screen, giving it a more cinematic feel. That's the kind of functionality I am asking about. Will I be losing some functionality like that? If that's the case, then perhaps I should just get the Sony - HT-A7000 7.1.2 Channel Soundbar with Dolby Atmos - Black which will be more expensive but I'll be staying within the same brand eco-system? Please help and thanks for your advice.

So I have a Samsung QN65Q6FNA TV and a Bose soundbar 500. They were working fine until one day audio output switch to the tv speakers. The option for HDMI output disappeared from the audio options. I checked and the optical out works with the soundbar but I can not control the volume with my Roku or tv remotes when it is connected with the optical cable. Any suggestions?

Hello all, I need some help choosing the right headphones for me. Im an electrician ona cutter suction dredger which means there is a lot of noise everywhere especially in our workshop because we have a big ass winch from the anchor on top of the workshop so let me tell ya when that thing starts screaming it requires me to put on my 3M peltor III earmuffs. The prob with earmuffs is they are not headphones. Sweating of ears after long periods of wearing, high pressure on head etc. Earmuffs I use in engine room etc. But would like to have something while in the workshop on the pc or doing something so I don't hear noise and listen to music. Both Bose and Sony are a great choice. Im leaning towards bose because of the noise cancelling. Am I wrong? Give me your thoughts. Thanks in advance

Hello I'm coming to you because I really don't know where to turn. No recent post on the forums helped me to solve my problem. So here's the deal. I have a Pixel 5 running Android 12 and a Bose QC 35 II headset. A while ago everything was fine in the best of worlds except that for no apparent reason, for a few days now, when I connect my headset to my phone everything is displayed normally. The headset is recognized and the sound comes out in the headset for a short time. Then all of a sudden, the sound cuts off and then the sound starts again on the speakers of my phone. EXCEPT! The headset is still connected and when I look in the settings everything is OK. All the bluetooth options are activated (multimedia sound, etc.) when I choose the place where the sound should come out, it is well displayed that it is my helmet in bluetooth. In short, everything seems to work properly except that not ... I tested the headset on other devices and I have no problem. I have no other bluetooth headset to test on my phone unfortunately. I also completely reset my phone. It worked for a while with disgusting micro cuts but at least I had sound. Then I'm back to square one... I have sound coming out of my phone's speakers again. If anyone can help me I would be incredibly grateful. I don't really want to change my phone right now... If you have any questions about the versions (my phone or anything) I can provide you with everything without any worries. If there are any manips that need a wipe like that I don't care I'll take it all. I just want it to work.

Is there a way to default the connection to AG audio and not stereo, when I connect my bluetooth headphones? The high pitch whine is ridiculous. I am currently running Win 11.

I was looking at the sizes of pockets in the LTT backpack and the front pocket’s elastic band pocket interested me for its size. I’m used to carrying around my mid-size headphones (AirPods Max currently, Bose QC25 in-case before airpods, etc) to work and back home in a dedicated pocket in my existing backpack. I was wondering if the LTT Backpack’s front elastic pocket would be large enough to comfortably hold them. Just by looking at the pictures I think that the pocket is large enough but I’d love to have confirmation with someone who has the backpack in their possession. Photo included to show which pocket I’m talking about.

I found a great deal on the Bose NC 700s for $300 and am strongly considering buying them. For users of these headphones, are they comfortable? Is the sound quality good? I'm a little nervous that I'll end up with something that doesn't sound great. I was recently given a pair of Arctis 5 headphones and my old $40 Turtlebeach headphones sounded far better. Should I consider something else instead? https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/headphones/noise_cancelling_headphones/noise-cancelling-headphones-700.html?mc=25_SM_HP_SC_00_YT_CorridorCrew#EcommerceArea&v=noise_cancelling_headphones_700_soapstone

I have a Bose (iPod Dock) Speaker with only an AUX in. I would like to be able to play either Spotify or Soundcloud through it without having to hook up a laptop as such. (Something that able to be hidden, and be able to use easily.) I have thought of a possible solution which was use a Chromecast audio, and buy a really cheap phone of eBay or something. Any better ideas?

Yesterday my 30 year old giant Sharp stereo system died on me after decades of good service. I wanna buy a cheap 2.0 pair for about 110-120$ for my pc and my AT LP60 turntable. I thought about the Bose Companion 2, the Creative t40 and the Édifier r1280. Which of these would you guys suggest?

I have an old Bose SoundDock Series 2 that I'm currently using for my setup. I'm finally kind of getting sick of it and have about $100 to spend. I will looking at the Logitech z533 as a replacement. First of all, if it worth getting new speakers if I'm using them for basic music creation and listening to lots and lots of music and if so, are the Logitech z533 a good choice?

Fellow Techies, I just got done doing a little work on the pc. I have a problem though, the pc doesn't put out sound. The computer recognizes the speakers being plugged in, but no sound. I hear popping ever so often. What is up with this? All I did was change LED for the power button, and no plug in all the front IO. Any suggestions?

Hello, I am looking to buy some new headphones, but I can't decide what to get and I am hoping that someone that is more knowledgeable than I am to help me out with my predicament. I have looked at all of the bluetooth headphones I have found, and I have selected two main contenders, Bose QC35 and Sony MDR1000x. From what I have gathered from the countless reviews I have read, here is a list of my personal pros and cons of both of them. Bose QC 35 Pros $50 Cheaper. More compact Can pair to two devices simultaneously Said to have better ANC Better case included Cons Less features Can not turn ANC off in wireless mode 2.5 mm wired connection Sony MDR1000x Pros Looks more premium Ability to allow only voices to be heard More features Touchpad on earcup 3.5mm wired connection Better sound Cons Cannot be paired with two devices simultaneously Earcups are bulkier Said to be slightly less comfortable If anything on this list is wrong please correct me.

Hello. So I have a problem that I need a relatively cheap solution for. My problem is this: I have a 42 inch Sceptre TV. I always thought the image looked good enough on it and I see no point in getting rid of it. The speakers on it are horrendous though so I bought a Bose sound bar for movies and music and stuff. When hooking up the soundbar to the TV, I noticed that it sounded very flat and bad. Nothing like the quality of sound I'm used to from bose. It sounded marginally better than the TV speakers themselves. It was also very quiet. So I connected the sound bar directly to my PS4 with an SPDIF/optical cable and the sound is amazing. But now only my PS4 has sound. My cable box still goes through the TV. My question is: Is there a small form/relatively affordable device I can connect my PS4, my cable box, and my sound bar to? I know there are plenty audio/video receivers out there but they are big, bulky and use up a lot of electricity. I would prefer a solution that lets me use all my devices and bypasses the horrible sound controller on my TV. PS. I tried to turn of ALL the options in the TV sound options. I tried to turn off equalization, DTS, etc. I tried turning only some things on, but it barely made a difference in the sound quality. Still miles away from what it sounds like on my PS4.

So I was planning on getting a new pair of in-ear headphones, and I've been looking around but I still haven't actually decide on what pair I actually want. I was thinking of other the Bose SoundSport in-ear headphones or the Bose SoundTrue Ultra in-ear Headphones. Does anyone have any idea on which one should get or have any suggestions on similar brands or earphones. Mainly going to use them for working out and casual use. Price Range Around $100-$200 USD

Hello, I am considering purchasing either the jaybird X3 or the Bose soundsport wireless and I cannot come to a decision. I would mainly use these headphones while working out/running and also everyday use. This would be my first time using Bluetooth headphones. I listen to about everything so I would prefer a flat sound stage but I know the jaybirds offer an eq tuner in the app, I am not sure if Bose offers this. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
