I have got a problem with my laptop (Lenovo LOQ 16APH8 82XUOO57MH) on every other boot. Every single time I boot after shutting down my laptop using windows 11, the laptop tries to boot, the screen goes off and I can't press anything to change this. If I then shut down the laptop using the power button, and restart it, it boots up fine. I have noticed that on that first boot every time I can not go to the boot selector screen, the second boot always works in regards to that. I think this has happened because of a driver update, because I did not have this issue at first. I have searched online for potential things to troubleshoot, but I could not find anything that seemed to help me. Also on the first boot it does NOT show a loading circle, but on second boot it does. I would gladly appreciate if anyone wants to help, because this is an annoying issue.

My pc in the last 3 days has been having bootting issues or ram issues. I'm not even sure what to call it. My pc when booting up would keep doing cpu and dram lights. One time it did vga and dram then went to only dram. Now when I was calling my friend on my pc it suddenly shuts down and says only dram. I troubleshooted it and this is what I found/did. I used one ram at a time to troubleshoot. I was able to get it to boot up to windows with both sticks. [Would later not be able to boot] Sometimes it just boots up and goes to windows. It's like a ramdom chance it works. Putting in and out Cmos doesn't help please help. This was my dream pc.

I have an Old gaming PC, and a new gaming PC (Specs below). In my old pc, I have windows on a small SSD, and my games on a HDD. In my new system, I have just one large SSD. I physically moved the HDD from the old PC to the new PC, and transferred some steam game files to large SSD drive. The HDD has been installed in the new PC for a couple of months. I have played games from the large SSD and also had updates. As far as I know, my new PC hasn't actually done anything on the HDD except for "Copy". Today, I moved the HDD back to the old PC, because I want to uninstall everything. When I boot up, the screen is black and it says "A2" in the bottom right corner of the screen, which relates to an issue with a storage drive. I unplugged the HDD, booted the old PC up and it worked fine, straight into windows. Plugged the HDD back in and again the A2 error. The HDD is preventing 'posting' in the old pc. What in the actual fruit cake is going on? Pls help My intention is to delete things so If I end up wiping the drive that's not so bad. Hi there, I've recently got myself a secondhand QNAP TS-251+ 2 bay NAS that was no longer being used from work. Since it has been sitting in storage for some time, the original power supply was lost, so I picked up a compatible 12v 5a power supply from ebay. I've found that the NAS only boots when there are no drives connected. Each time I connect the drives when prompted to by the setup guide the NAS seems to lose power. The drive that I'm trying to install is a WD red 4TB drive. I've had a look at the listed power input specs from the sticker on the NAS and online and it says that it takes 12v 5a input. So far, I've tried two different 12v 5a power supplies, both resulting in the same issue. I managed to update it's firmware to version 5.0.1.2425 but can't install any drives. Would anyone know if this is likely due to the non-genuine power supply or if there is potentially a problem with the NAS or the drive?

So to start off I'm new to PC building I had help from a friend with picking the parts and installing them but didn't have a USB with windows on, after now getting on I unplugged all my HDDs so I can install onto just an SSD, it went through the setup and all looked good until I removed my USB and restarted and was met with a brief black screen with _ on and then the options for boot menu / bios settings etc. When selecting boot menu I can see my SSD shows the menu: "Windows Boot Manager (WD_BLACK SN850X 1000GB)" "WD_BLACK SN850X 1000GB" but selecting either of these is met with the same "_" screen. I contacted my friend who advised to try get back into the windows installer now be reinserting the USB but now I can't even get to windows setup, we tried removing the battery from the motherboard to reset the bils, tried every combination of Legacy Only / UEFI Only on the Storage Boot Option Control but I've got nowhere in 6 hours, google is a minefield and gives me so many different options I'm even more confused. Attached are some relevant lictures but I'm honestly so clueless and my first PC build turned into a nightmare quickly..

Long story short I had to reset my bios settings, in doing so it reset my boot drive. Now I can't select the correct boot drive and have to go to "boot override" every time I boot my computer up for it to boot to windows properly. For my selection of boot drives it gives me windows boot manager and two SATA connected drives which both do not boot to windows. How do I make it so I have the option to select the right boot drive and do not have to go into my bios and do a boot override every time I turn on my computer? Also why is my labeling my storage devices 1, 5 and 6 when I only have 3 storage devices? 5 is the correct boot drive which I would like to select.

I put my desktop computer into hibernation yesterday, and when I turned on my computer today, I got past the Asus mobo screen and entered a black screen and white dash. One of my friends guided me to get hirens on a boot usb drive, and boot in the computer. Managed to do it, and checked the drives , and hardware seems fine. Used Easybcd and manage to get a second text about no operation system thing (2nd photo). Is there a way to fix this without losing chrome and other settings? I recall in the past there was a way to fix windows and kinda reinstall while retaining system like wall paper, app, internet etc. Would that be possible here? Please help! Spent all day and I am not sure if I should just drive to a microcenter and pray they can help. Thanks in advance.

So recently I bought two brand new 16GB memory modules 3200mhz and the issue at hand is that I can't boot my Laptop with both installed at the same time. I can leave in one of my old 8GB memory modules and it will work with either of the new 16GB ones. At first when I had this issue I thought my Laptop had only 2 memory slots but today I found out that I actually have 4 of them and the reason why I didn't notice is because the slots are in the same area and it looked like only 2 fit. I'm a noob so let's leave it as that. Now knowing that I have two more slots possibly expands my option I would imagine? I should note that according to my Laptop's manufacture, I can only have 32GB of RAM at once so using any more than that will either just won't work or just make my Laptop not work that well. Every time I install both of the 16GB memory modules my Laptop won't boot and I don't have access to the BIOS. I can boot with one of my 8GB memory modules as I mentioned above ^. Is there anything I can do to sort this problem out? I would also like to provide my opinion regarding the speed of the memory modules. The new 16GB modules have a speed of 3200mhz and my old 8GB modules have 2400mhz. It might be a problem with the speed when booting the Laptop. I used the PowerShell to confirm that both memory modules are running at 2400mhz. New RAM - 16GB DDR4-3200 old RAM - 8GB DDR4-2400

Hello, since a few days my pc wont booting right. I then reseatet ram and cleared my cmos and got it to boot again all fine same with gaming. Now it just won't boot at all and I don't know what's wrong since I have no bios speaker. Can't even get into the bios anymore, I added a picture to where my pc goes and gets stuck there. I don't know if the information is helpful but my keyboard and mouse light up. I hope someone knows the issue. Thank you in advance. I bought a new laptop, MSI GF63 Thin 10UC. I had added 2 TB SATA HDD afterwards. First everything was running smoothly, but later the drive stopped showing up in "This pc" and even in the diskpart, but it's detected in the BIOS menu.

Hi, I built my first tower last year and its been working without any issues. I have replaced my previous Ryzen 3100 CPU and stock cooler for a 5600x with a water cooler AIO however when I tried to boot I get stuck on a black screen with the motherboard logo and it wont go to windows. (Although I can get into the BIOS). I have reset BIOS to default, installed new windows installation media onto a USB and removed my M.2 and SSD however this just gets me stuck on a black screen with the windows logo instead. Any help would be appreciated as I am abit incompetent when it comes to PC software. Thanks

Hi everyone, I've seen a few posts regarding booting from USB on a GIGABYTE motherboard, all of which don't apply to my BIOS and thus I cannot boot from USB. My hard drive crashed recently on my laptop and now it won't let me boot into Windows so I figured to try and start fresh. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but the USB won't show up in the boot menu. My BIOS version is FB05 on a Gigabyte G5 KC. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Help, I think my mobo is broken. My pc was working fine earlier today but when I went to during it on it would not work. I tested the psu by its self and it is still working but I can't get it to power my mobo, the power button is not working and when I connected the pins to power on my mobo it also did not work. I built my pc in May 2020 so everything is still in warenty but I expected stuff to last longer. If anyone knows how to power the mobo in some other form or have some over way to check if the mobo works please help me.

Hey guys I switched from Intel to AMD for price-performance reasons. for this purpose, I exchanged the processor, the mainboard and the water cooling. Now, however, I have a few problems with the setup. The PC does not boot correctly through Windows 10, although this is the only option selected. I have already tried to switch off the secure mode, but this made no difference. It either starts on the screen with the option to call up the BIOS and gets stuck or directly via the BIOS my specs are: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X AM4, 3.50GHz, 16-Core ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO AM4, AMD X570, ATX MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO 11GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 4x, 16GB, DDR4-3200, DIMM 288 NZXT Kraken Z73 Corsair RM850x *2018* 850W In addition, the mainboard does not save my RGB settings and sometimes the RGB light gets stuck in the RAM bar. Thx for your Help!

So about a week ago I built my new Mini ITX System in my brand new V8 Case from Jonsbo. I was pretty excited as this was my first small form factor built ever and I just like to building Computers so yeah... I built the System, it booted and I installed Windows, etc. Upgraded my Motherboard Drivers so on and so forth. I then benchmarked it and basically checked if it was stable during heavy loads which it was and went on to play some games. The thing is next day it just wouldn't boot. I was wondering what was wrong and unplugged my PC turned it back on and it just worked. That got me curious so I started the System up shut it back down and tried it again. Same Thing, No Signal No RGG was flipping on in my Case, etc. only thing signaling that something was going on was that my System Fans were Spinning (including the Fans for my AIO) but nothing seemed to work. I then continued to update all my drivers if any were available, reinstall some of them, and even updated my BIOS to the newest version. That didn't do anything which meant taking the System apart to check for any faulty wiring etc. After like a good Hour I triple-checked everything still the same problem. I then continued to rip out every single part that was possible to see if the problem persisted. So I unplugged my GPU (A RX 6600 XT Saphire which I bought from a scalper) tried to start again etc. nothing worked. After a bit more troubleshooting checking my Bios etc. I called Gigabyte up and told the whole story to the Support there which was just as baffled by the Problem like I was. The support guy then asked me to switch PSU's which he patiently waited for (which was like 30min so Props to that guy) and again Same problem. The PC would boot once function completely normal and then when shut down just not reboot. After like 3 tries, he said he would forward my problem to Taiwan and see what they could do about it and that's where I'm at. So my question is if anybody has experienced a similar issue and if there's a way to fix it? My System Specs are: - A B550I Aorus pro AX - Ryzen 5 5600x - and AIO from Artic - an RX 6600 XT from Saphire - 16GB of RGB Vengeance Ram from Corsair - A 750 Watts PSU from Corsair (SF750) - A 1TB m.2 SSD from crucial - All installed in the V8 from Jonsbo as said So thanks for reading the post and any help is greatly appreciated :)
