So I've had my Monster Rockin Roller 3 for a few years now and I can't get any of the buttons to work. For example When I hit the source button it pops on screen error code 3 and sometimes error code 4. (Err-3) (Err-4) or something close to that. I can't find any reference online about what the codes mean. Does anyone know what is wrong with my speaker?

Hey all, so I've been kind of slacking on my Christmas gifts for my family, but I came up with a pretty cool gift idea that can be built mostly with parts and materials I already have. Basically the idea is a simple semi-portable (has to be plugged in) bluetooth speaker. It's going to be a simple wood box, themed paint or finish for each family member. The speaker used will be one 6x9 coaxial (woofer+tweeter combo) car speaker. It'll have a removable speaker clothe cover (perf board probably) with magnets. Anyways as far as building them goes I've got all that down, I have two pairs of these 6x9 car speakers, one pair Pioneer, other pair Sony, so decent quality stuff. I have 4 family members in my household so it all works out. What I need help with is finding a good means of driving them along with simple bluetooth functionality. My current plan is a mono amplifier board, cable with resistors wired in to convert stereo signal to mono for said amp, then a basic DROK bluetooth module feeding the amp through said cable. What I was wondering is if anyone knows of a bluetooth amplifier board that outputs a mono signal, so it would do all of this for me. I really rather not feed the speaker off just the left or right channel of a stereo amplifier, that's an absolutely horrible way of doing things. I know my current plan should work fine, I just figure if I had a more "all in one" solution, it would end up cheaper and simplify my project speakers a bit. If anyone has seen any boards available like this I'd appreciate your input. Also, what do you think of my idea? I'm kind of going for an old school table radio form factor, but with the design of a speaker cabinet from the 70s or 80s. I might add a rough sketch here so you all can get a better idea of what I'm going for. Thanks everyone!

I was looking at the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 for a while now and saw there were 6 color options. Some of those options were company exclusive like the Urban Magenta option for T-Mobile and the Denim and Cloud color options as an Apple exclusive. However, whenever I click on any of those options nothing comes up. I get the message that "the product you're looking for is no longer available on apple.com." This is understandable as they might be limited time exclusives, but when I search up those color options on the internet nothing comes up. I see no product review or videos or even images of anyone having the cloud or even the denim version. So I am confused, were these color options ever released and is there any hope that they may become available later?

Important Criteria: 1) The speaker must have great bass (passive radiator is preferred). 2) The speaker must be able to fill a room effortlessly. 3) The speaker must support auxiliary input. All help is appreciated!

Hello LTT community. ---- Back story I was recently in need of a portable speaker. At my work (McDonald's) I am not allowed to where earphones, even when i close and we are not making food. I tried using my phone as a speaker, but it simply was not loud enough. So, i decided i needed a portable speaker. At first I bought a cheap one for $15USD. It got loud enough, but just didn't sound that good. I did a little bit of research, and Best Buy was having a sale on all of their portable speakers. So I did more research, and I eventually decided on the Sony srs-xb31. ---- The review starts here! For a simplified review: Before I go on, I want to say that I am not an audio expert. I enjoy listening to music at high volumes with lots of bass. This speaker costed me $100. But, it retails for $150. So, I think I got a pretty good deal. My first impressions of this speaker were that it was Fantastic! This was mainly because I have never had a speaker this nice. This speaker has a cloth material wrapped around the entire outside. It feels sturdy and nice in the hand. It has some heft to it as well. It weighs almost 2lb. (not sure what that is in metric) It is ip67 water and dust proof. So, I can take this to the beach and not be concerned at all if this gets wet or sandy. It has lights that go across the top and bottom of the front and connect on the sides. At first, I thought these lights were a gimmick but they are actually pretty cool. They change color and brightness to the beat of the music. This adds a fun aspect to the speaker that would be especially cool at a party. It has your normal buttons on the top of the speaker; Play/pause, volume up/down, and power. It has Bluetooth 4.2 which is perfectly fine. However, i wished it had Bluetooth 5 and the aptx codex. This was especially disappointing, especially considering the price. One feature I appreciated, was the ability to connect to it through NFC. This made the setup much easier. The micro-usb (i know not usb-c) charging port, aux port, and full size usb-a to charge your phone are on the back protected by a overly difficult to open flap. It has a 6,000mah battery. It claims a 24 hour battery life, but that simply is not true. I could get max 8-9 hours at half volume. However, with live sound mode on and the volume at 70-80% i only got 4-5 hours. Usually this is good enough. It takes about 5 hours to charge up, so it is best to charge this up over night. Sound Quality: This speaker sounds GREAT! It has an incredible amount of bass, especially for its small size. The mids and highs are not bad either. They usually are clear and crisp with a little bit of muddiness audible only in some songs. This speaker sounds especially great listening to electronic music. However, I usually listen to alternative rock. It sounds very appealing playing this kind of music, as well. It gets VERY loud. My work is an average sized McDonald's. With the speaker in the kitchen and at max volume, it easily fills the entire store with music. (yes I tested this after we closed) The sound does distort a little bit at max volume but isn't too bad for casual listening. I think this speaker sounds best at 40-60% volume, which is plenty loud for most situations. Overall I am very satisfied with this speaker. It perfectly suits my needs. And at 30% off, i'd say this is a no-brainer if you are in the market for a nice portable speaker.

Hi, I have JBL flip 4 and I'm interested to learn more about the button combinations! Are FW (firmware) updates needful. Here are all the codes I know: play/pause + volume up - reset bluetooth + volume minus -low frequency mode JBL Connect + Volume down - says the firmware number JBL Connect + Volume up - weird mode, possibly FW update mode (to go back, connect to powersource and hold the combination again) And 1 more thing:I find some problems like stopping the blink (which indicates it is being charged) stops at 4 point and never run to 5th unless I replug it. And the sounds are getting distorted when the light hit red which indicates the battery has run short. I get it if the battery is efficiently using the juice by not using its full sound quality but when I turn up the volume at that moment, the battery runs out and the speaker shuts down.

Well, after seeing the video on the Soundcore Flare 2s posted by LTT back in April of this year, I decided I would FINALLY cave in & get me a speaker for my pc setup. I only purchased 1 at my local Walmart supercenter about a week ago & since then, it has been a great experience! [FYI- I haven't bothered to try using the speaker with a smartphone since I don't have 1 anyway.] But based on my overall experience so far, I do have a some questions that I have been wondering about: 1. If you look at the manual which can be found online on their site, they say the Bluetooth range is 20 meters/66 ft. But when I step out of my room while using the speaker, I can get as far as only 23 feet, then it goes blank, no sound. [Please observe 1st photo & bear in mind that 23 feet is approx as far as the wall. If I round the corner & go into the other room to either of the bathrooms or further back, the same thing applies.] So what I'm wondering is could the walls be possibly interfering with having a good/stable connection, or could there be other interferences at hand that haven't occured to me? 2. As stated above, I clearly mentioned I don't have a smartphone of my own & the app that you can download is only available for mobile as of now & I have heard that you can download/run Android apps on Windows. With that being said, would I be able to download & run the app on my Windows 10 rig? [I would need to know how to do so IF it's possible.] And would it work? The 2 photos I'm proving for this post are rough measurements of how far my setup is from 1 of the bathrooms. It's approximately 44 ft total give or take a few inches or so. I hope to hear back from some of you guys with insight/advice about this. If you need anymore details or have questions for me, do let me know & I'll be sure to answer them as best as I can. Thanks in advance! :)

I am looking for a portable speaker with FM radio and alarm clock. It needs to connect with the mobile phone, the tablet or the PC via Bluetooth to play music from the folders or internet. The alarm clock sound should be a desirable FM radio station. The speaker should play the music evet if it’s not connected to charger. Optional charging via USB port or normal electrical cable.Alarm clock should not depend only on the mobile phone.Any ideas?

Hi, I am looking to get a portable speaker but also a speaker for my pc as the speakers in my monitor aren't that good. Does anyone know if the speaker I was looking at (the JBL Charge 3) would also be usable on a pc? It has an AUX port so I dont know if I could use that to play my music through.

VIDEO REVIEW : (Written Below) WRITTEN REVIEW : Hey, its almost christmas so what about a gift you could give to yourself , or a gift that you want to give to someone you dont really care about because clearly if you cared about them you would have bought their gift sooner. -------- Snows here and today we’re reviewing the Aukey outdoor / indoor wireless speaker also known as the aukey SK-M18. As you can see ( in the video ) , it has a freakish resemblance to a very large can of soup , or to the AXESS tube speaker or to the Mental Beats tube speaker. Well its because they are made from the same design ! lets give it a physical inspection. On one side we have a 4 inch subwoofer and on the other side flanking the buttons and input we have 2 smaller speaker. You have 3 ways of playing music through the speakers, bluetooth for some wirefree goodness, Radio for some reason and the typical AUX input for some appropriate earrape. For the controls you have some media button and a mode change button to go from bluetooth to radio. The aux will always have priority over the 2 wireless methods so keep that in mind. You also have a handle and a shoulder strap to look like a doofus outside. Or to hang it somewhere. Honestly , when I looked at it for the first time , I thought it would kick ass because of its shape , the bazooka like figure it has make it feel powerful but I was disappointed to say the least. Alright so lets jump into sound quality. The 2 speakers are 2W strong and the woofer is 7W weak. The sound is very unidirectional for each side which means that if you walk around it , you will always have more bass on one side and more highs on the other which honestly is a not so great experience when listening to it. The best place to put it in my testing is in a time out… let me explain. Put it in the corner of a room facing the sub or the tweeters to the corner and you will have balanced sound through the room but the problem is that its not consistent throught its whole volume range. I get it , its hard to make a speaker sound consistent from its lowest to its highest volume but the problem is that at 11W its not really powerful for its size. The highs sound tinny and the low end is just weak. In conclusion , if you’re a tiny bit into sound quality dont buy this speaker , but the Tronsmart E6 its better , just a little more moneys and its much smaller , about 30% the size of the aukey. Thanks for reading and Subscribe to my channel if you’re so inclined , I’ve got some cool stuff coming.

Greetings everyone, I want to build a 2.1 Bluetooth speakers. I already have 2.1 Edifier speakers and i want add Bluetooth features to it so I'll be able to play music or movies by not connecting the speakers to my pc with wires. Along with that i also want add a remote to it. I would appreciate if the community could help me with this build. Note: I don't want to destroy my speakers. I was thinking of building a ghettoblaster/boombox bluetooth speaker into this old briefcase/case. I was thinking of a 2.1 build using an amp something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Douk-Audio-HiFi-TPA3116-Bluetooth-4-0-Digital-Amplifier-2-1-Subwoofer-amp-Board-/272023476134?hash=item3f55dcd7a6:g:IlQAAOSwA4dWKFp1 and I could maybe fit two 5" drivers and one 8" or something along those lines. Also adding a way to charge a phone from it would be nice. So suggestions for wiring, drivers ,amps etc. Here are few pics of the briefcase and some kind of wiring plan I made(very bad one). Ps. Also suggestions for good places to buy drivers and other supplies in Europe maybe from Germany to ship to Finland

Hi again sami there, so after last stupid and funny flying egg review, this time we bring this review of waterproof bluetooth speaker. I remember one time one of my good friends use this speaker while taking a bath, and he sang along with the music, and minutes later, several police came and took him away 'cause his neighbours complainted it's too loud, lol Original review link is here From here There are several colors to get. Mine is black. The bluetooth speaker came very well packed with foam around and even in a hard case. It contains the speaker, the USB charging cable and an english manual 1 page. There should be a battery of 400mAh inside, I will check with my power meter to see how many days I can use without charging. The connection between speaker and e-devices establishes very simply: power button presses, blue LED starts to flash, bluetooth scanned for tablet and added. After pairing the speaker (which went on smartphone and tablet without problems) I was able to start immediately. The speaker makes sound (ding-dong) when the bluetooth connection is broken, and when the maximum volume is reached. I did not complain about the Bluetooth remote because the tablet in the bedroom and the speaker in the bathroom and no problem with reception. There are five buttons on the front: upper: Power ON / OFF, the left (previous track or volume quieter), right (next track or volume louder) Subject: Call Center: Play, Pause When it is used in the shower has no problem with water, and the volume is loud enough. I'm pleasantly surprised by the volume of the speaker, it's really loud I glued him to the shower wall (it has quite large suction cup) and tested for water resistance, and this is proved to be no problem at all. There's also a microphone so you can call (in the shower ) its quality is poor, but this is a feature that I will use. Much All in all this is a good speaker for its price.
