I bought a second hand RTX 3070 back in January this year. I replaced my old RTX 2060 and for a good few months everything was fine. Recently, when I have been playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 I have ran into issues where randomly when I am playing both my monitors will say no signal. I can still hear the audio on my headphones though. To get it back I need to press the power button to get the computer to restart. Then it sometimes posts but has trouble going into windows until I unplug the monitors and plug them back in but sometimes the RGB will come on but the fans won't spin and it won't post or boot at all. Graphics card: RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 750 watt PSU Motherboard: Asrock B450M Pro4 I have tried switching it to "prefer higher performance" in the Nvidia control panel as suggested by some sources online. I have dug out my old parts for some serious troubleshooting today. Do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? TL;DR: The monitors stop receiving signal when playing games on the computer (I can still hear audio however). To do anything I need to press the power button to restart it. Then it will either refuse to boot or just show a blank screen (not no signal).

My G8 HP i3-10th gen is refusing to boot after i changed from hdd to sdd. I think the BIOS are the problem but i've tried to recovering them via the HDD and USB but still the problem persist. It turns on and off then on again and remains blank. I've done the hard reset method and it boots up fine with the old HDD but the moment i shuts it down or restart it, it doesn't come back to life. Not sure if the hardware is the problem or what. Also, it no longer remembers the BIOS on the original SSD. Please help people.

Hi guys so I’ll try keep it short but basically here’s my build firstly: cpu - 5600x (recently put it in at the weekend- has been working great!) mobo - gigabyte b450m DS3H gpu - power cooler 5700xt psu - Corsair rm650x ram - Corsair vengeance lpx 3200 (4x8gb) anyways so my PC was working perfect and was literally playing Warzone/college all day with it not a single problem. Put the PC in sleep mode (windows 10) and went to make dinner. Came back up snd keyboard wasn’t lit up snd screen was still blank. Tried wake it but no luck. So just powered on and off….same thing, no display being put out or that and no USB connected devices were turning on etc BUT my whole PC seemed like it was turning on e.g all fans AMD the AIO were turning on and the little orange led on mobo too. fast forward I been asking discord for help so what I have done so far is: - reseat ram and gpu - tried with single ram stick different ones and slots - cleared cmos - tried different display port cable and obviously many times of complete restart but still…no display and keyboard/mouse/controller getting no power when plugged into usb and all. so I ask any ideas?? I seen online it could be my mobo failed? And then few others say PSU which I feel shouldn’t considering it is a good one and I also have surge protector and all. anyways any more info just ask but yep….my night has been great!

I decided to do a manual overclock of my 8700k yesterday. I dialed in all my settings and ran a few stress tests, finished off with running Prime95 for an hour to check for instabilities. Everything went fine. But then today started to play Destiny 2 and my main screen kept on going black then coming back (computer still running almost like the source was being changed). I changed over my main screen so I was playing on my secondary and that one was fine but the other continued to go blank then come back on again. I checked all the cables and everything was fine, so I thought I would remove the OC that I did. That was about 12 hours ago now and I have had no problems with my screen. Does anyone have any suggestions that would be great. I have had an auto OC on this before and it was fine. I just finished a new budget build, i3 10100, 16GB 2666 ram dual channel, 650 watt PS, 250 SSD and 7200 RPM 2 TB hard drive. I'm running W10 Pro as my OS. My computer boots up normally, let's me log in and 10-15 secs later, the screen goes blank, sometimes its white, sometimes blue and sometimes black. I went online, and general suggestion from about 20 tech youtubers is go into safe mode, use DDU driver uninstaller to delete old Nvidia drivers, restart it and load up the latest drivers, which I did. System recognizes the card, I test it with Doom Eternal, seems to be working. Then I shut down...I then power up, log in and 10-15 sec later, screen goes blank. I thought one solution would be to leave it running but about an hour in, I switch applications and the screen goes blank. So, anyone have any ideas? Luckily, the onboard graphics work, so I get to type this at least. When going through the motions of uninstalling the drivers in safe mode, screen has no issue with the GPU, its only after I load the drivers.

I have an Hp pavilion gaming 15(r5-4600h, gtx1650). Bought it in August 2020. It has only a hdd for stroage as of now. I have faced this blank screen issue for which i have to froce shut down the laptop a number of times. However for the last two times, when i start the laptop again after the force shut down,it shows "Fixing C drive". Should i be worried? It started up after 15min or so, and is working pretty normally. Should i get a better storage solution immediately(i dont have the budget for it roght now, but if absolutely needed i could spend some money)?

Hi I'm having an issue with my new build, I'm using an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, with a Palit GeForce GT1030 2GB graphics card, on an ASUS rog strix b450-f gaming II motherboard. Ive tried everything I can think of. Checked the cables and reseated everything, tried multiple slots on the motherboard for graphics card and ram, everything is powered on and no lights flashing on the Q-LED Indicators. I've tried all the monitor ports even the ones on the motherboard, even though my CPU does not have integrated graphics. I have updated the bios But still a blank screen. Everything else seems to be working fine. The only thing I can think of is buying another CPU with integrated graphics. I was just wondering if anybody knows a solution to this problem. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Spec: AMD 2700x, ASUS tuf b450m plus gaming, ASUS tuf 1650 super, Corsair vengeance LPX 2400 MHz (will be replaced with something different) 650 watt 80 plus bronze rated SSD 512GB Issue: Everything was working fine when i brought it home. Everything worked, had old SSD with win 10 so used that and the old 2700x (7-8 month used). I used the pc for few hours with no issues. I updated the win10 , installed the drivers, tried some apps and games just to see if it was working properly or not. i shut it down with no issue. Next day the pc did not turn on. the fan ramped to full speed in GPU and CPU possibly PSU but no Post. Gave the system back they repaired and said changed RAM to corsair one, possibly faulty ram issue and the one I wanted will be available in few days. Returned it to store, they changed RAM (tried the gskill tridentz 3200mhz before current build seems it is not properly supported.) to current one. Said it worked and returned to me. ==>Worked normally for 3-4 days medium usages for gaming general browsing. then issue popped again, Fan runs at full speed and No Post What I tried. Then I Opened up the case, reseated everything tried again same issue. Removed the GPU then tried, CPU fan speed was back to normal (keyboard was connected but no lights) Inserted just the GPU power cable but not connected to PCIe slot, fan speed was normal. As soon as I insert GPU and try again the fan ramps up and no post still. Any solution to the problem? Any mistakes I might have made. Cant return system for few more days as holiday season so if there is a solution to the problem that I can use at home then do help. Or if you have any ideas on the possible problem do tell. UPDATE: TRIED CHANGING GPU AND MOBO, issue persists.

I tried to setup a dual monitor setup by connecting one monitor into the HDMI port of the GPU and the other monitor into the display port of the GPU. The monitor that was connected via display port only showed a blank screen so I though that uninstalling and reinstalling the GPU drivers might solve this issue. I used the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU). I also disabled integrated graphics in the BIOS before that. Now both screens don't display anything. Not even the American megatrends bios thingy. This is not my photo BTW. Even a monitor connected into the motherboard's HDMI port doesn't display anything. I even removed the CMOS battery for five minutes and put it back in the PC to no avail. PC specs: Windows 11 I7- 8700 8 GB DDR4 RAM Aorus Geforce GTX 1060 6GB Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming (rev. 1.0) Chieftec GPA-500S8 500W PSU ASUS VY249HE Monitor 2x Edit: A quick rundown of everything I tried so far. I unplugged both of the drives and powered on the PC. Then the computer said: Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. Then I plugged in a USB with Xubuntu Linux on it and both of the monitors worked. Then I unplugged the USB, restarted the PC and then both of the monitors worked. Then I restarted the PC again and this time both of the monitors are blank again but now even unplugging the drives does nothing. Edit 2: after a couple dozen of restarts or so one of the monitors finally works again. Now I've made backups of all of my important files in case I won't be able to boot up my PC again after shutting it down.

My desktop computer, once the HP logo is finish, will go to a blank blue screen and just stay that way. The ram has been upgrade/replace, gone thru a full reset and reinstall windows 10. There has to be a way to get past the blank screen and go straight to desktop. Someone please help me... Update: The computer was working before and after I install the ram, which was needed for gaming and was compatible for my system. There was a time when my computer froze while idle if not use for hours, mostly when sleeping and needed to be restarted. I thought that a reset would fix this and reinstalled Windows but it just goes to a blank screen after the HP logo. I am still able to check settings like system restart and able to check bios. I even reinstalled the old ram but still same issue.... A friend of mine's computer is refusing to boot to Windows (Windows 10). I suspected something went wrong with windows (He wasn't sure, the computer hadnt worked in a long time), and I ended up factory restoring windows on my PC. I can boot to windows and everything works fine. Back to his machine, the bios detects the drive, I have it set to first in boot priority, and nothing. It just has the blinking line with nothing else on screen. I checked into updating the bios, but that is also up to date (V. 2001). The board is an ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 and the drive is a Corsair SSD. I have also tried every SATA port on the board. They all detect the drive but give me the same blank screen. Any Ideas? Thank you!

Hello everyone, I used to build systems back in my younger days, many years ago and took a break because of life and work. but decided to jump back on to build a mid grade gaming rig. I seem to be having a problem every time i start a game. The main monitor, a Samsung 32 (model C32HG7x) connected via Display Cable. at first i though it was a bad monitor so i replaced the monitor but it that didn't work also, replaced the cable. its only the 1 monitor my second monitor stays fine, its and old viewsonic. I've tried updating all my drivers as far as i can tell. windows is up to date. firmware is in the motherboard is update according to their site.at first i though it was overheating so i got a temp monitor on it but it doesn't seem to be going above 55-60 C. i don"t think that an issue but who knows it might be now. like i said its been like 10-12 years since i actually build a computer and played with it so i am worried i messed something up. i recorded a short video of what it did when i tried to run Anno 2205 but it seems to do the same with all games even some of the older ones that should not tax this system. like ace combat from back in 2000 i think. here is a summary of my system specs: attached is a full Speccy report and the video i mention. I'm having trouble with my PC. It randomly turns the screens blank. sometimes its just a flash other time they stay off. If they go off I can manually restart it or it will restart on its own. I would normally think it's a bad OC, but AMD does all the fine tuning automatically and it doesn't ever seem to remember my custom profile so it wasn't overclocked. I let the ASUS auto OC take care of over clocking the cpu because I know bad it could be if I tried to do it myself. I know because I play PC Building Simulator. Some may call it a budget build, the only person I know that would spend that much money on a PC is my brother. Any thoughts on what is causing the issues? (5/19/2020) Before, i had a similar issue where windows would stop working completely and the only already open/running programs would work. no Ctrl + Alt + Del, no taskbar, no desktop icons. the only way of shutting down was Alt + F4. though i believe that was a windows update bug because my dads computer at his did the same thing.

Sometimes it would last 5-10 mins if I am lucky. So, I reset my PC but kept the files using Windows 10 troubleshoot after Repair and Automatic Restore didn't work (I didn't format or do fresh install). After reset it got worse as now it won't even go to login screen but BSOD would come up after Windows Logo appears. So, I put my bootable USB stick to boot up from BIOS and do fresh install but after it loads up and as soon as Windows Logo (of installation not already installed Win10) comes up, BSOD again. Now I can't even format or install windows at all. It then went for a day and then it got worse with laptop screen blank after computer turns on. So, I pressed and hold the power button and after some tries the BIOS loads up and then got stuck at Windows logo. Then since day before yesterday, it is now totally blank. It powers up. LED light is on. I tried switching RAM from a different computer but still blank screen. I tried turning it on without RAM, fan turns on but still blank screen. Any suggestions? These are the message on BSOD. I think I got pretty much every error there possible is. I am booting the device and it took ' it's time' to boot. An underscore has been blinking for like 30 seconds before it got booted up. I have HDD. Does it take this time for everytime? No. This is the 2nd time in a while. Why? Uploaded the file.

Hey everyone. Ihope you can help me. I have a problem with my pc, When i turn on my pc, i get the motherboard screen, then the windows 10 logo and then the sreen is black for almost 50seconds and then the login screen shows. What should happen, and did happen upuntill 1.5days ago the windows logo showed and 5second later i was loged in. All i have done in the last week that i can think of was installing some programs(Photo Below), Played Games, and i had to erase 3 HDDs and i did that by plugging them into my computer and erasing them with Disk Management. I have atched a video of startup and a photo with programs i installed in the last week. I have tried to inclue all the info i can but if there is anything else i should show let me know. I just bought all the hardware to build a budget gaming computer. Installed everything properly and everything shows up in the bios. Installed windows 10 64-bit and updated the graphics driver. As soon as the update installed my monitor went blank. It stays up but doesn't show anything. The computer runs and works perfectly but the screen just won't come up. When I remove the graphics card and plug the HDMI cable directly to the motherboard, everything works. Already tried the following solutions :- 1) installing drivers again 2) installing lower versions drivers 3) disabling Intel HD graphics in device manager 4) updated the bios 5) took the motherboard battery out and put it back in again. 6) installed windows again. I installed Chrome remote desktop and can confirm that the computer runs just fine expect for the blank screen on the monitor. Can someone please help. HI Everyone, since a few days my computer doesn't run stable anymore. The problem is, that the screens randomly turn black/off. The Computer doesn't respond to any input anymore, but e.g. Music is still playing and audible. Hard resetting is the only thing working. After that the Computer is working again. This mostly happens while playing games. All temps are fine. CPU is in the low 60s and GPU in the low 50s. Because the problem occurs randomly i can't realy debug it any further. Does anyone have an idea what could cause the problem or how i can debug this ? A friend of mien suggestet it could be the power supply. The power supply is an 5 year old beQuiet 900W. The GPU is an EVGA Titan X on water And the CPU is an 4930k @ 4GHz on water. For the last year the system was running stable and smooth. So i don't think the Overclock is causing the problems.

Hello, I just recently bought a gtx 1650 and installed it in my pc everything was working fine, until I installed drivers then the screen instead of the normal flickering it blacked out. so after waiting a long time I reset my pc and I am still able to access bios and see things in safe mode. I did all the normal steps such as disabling onboard gpu and making the peg the default or updating bios to the latest version. nothing seems to work. I went through Microsoft support, NVIDIA support, and Zotac support; after doing so they all lead to one conclusion that my card was broken so, I sent the card back and got a new one. However the problem persists I got a new power supply and I followed all of the system requirements and nothing has worked can someone please help me?

Hello, I built my computer in February of this year. Everything had been working fine for a good long while until just recently I started experiencing a problem where the screen goes black for just a couple of seconds. It was pretty annoying but I could deal with it. Then it started to happen more frequently which made me wonder what was going on. I began to notice that for Minecraft it would occur a lot when I had my shaders on and then at other random times during my playing sessions. In Overwatch it was just unpredictable however. Sometimes it would be just fine. However there are days, specifically today, where my screen flickered black and I had to restart my computer. Another time during the same session my computer just crashed all together (this was after I turned my graphics down a little). I suspect that it has something to do with the graphics card but I'm not too sure. Keep in mind I'm no computer genius so I'm not sure if the problem is easily fixable but I was really hoping that I could get some answers and help here. I will leave a list of my PC specs below. Let me know if there is anything else that you need to see. My laptop ASUS ROG STRIX GL702VM won't POST. Screen is black, with no ROG logo splash screen. LED indicator light for battery (charging) and power works, but the storage LED doesn't blink even once. I tried removing battery and CMOS battery with no luck. Is there another way to reset BIOS CMOS? I tried holding power button for 2 minutes again no luck. I tried removing both RAM modules and it gives flashing green LED indicator. Tried one of either RAM gives no flashing green LED, but still won't POST. I also tried swapping NVMe and HDD for boot drives and also Windows 10 bootable USB, but it doesn't look useful, since it won't even load the UEFI BIOS. The CPU fan is active, and all the USB ports output power, however the keyboard is off (Backlight is off and CapsLock does not toggle). I tried plugging external USB keyboard, but it isn't detected. I'm out of ideas. I called ASUS Customer Service for repair cost, he quoted $600 USD. That's insane! If anyone ever solved this problem, please let me know.

Every so often my computer just crashes, grey screen, still hear discord but over than that it's completely unresponsive. I pretty much instantly disconnect from whatever game I'm playing and when i press the power down button the computer does respond with a sound but stays blank-screened. Usually happens when gaming. The specs are: i7-4790k, 980ti, MSI Z97 'GAMING' motherboard, Corsair Vengence 16GB DDR3 RAM I had a overclock on my graphics card and CPU before, I haven't dialled the overclock on my CPU back but I'm about to but the problem has occurred even without the overclock. It may be possible that my graphics card still has a overclock applied to it if so is there a way I could easily test this? and remove it. My main questions are: What part is malfunctioning? How do i test which one it is?

Hi, I'm having an issue with my graphics card where whenever I try to update my RX 480 Radeon drivers past version 17.9.3, my PC boots into a black screen and my monitors stop detecting input. I get past the BIOS screen, but the loading circle freezes at the Windows logo screen and then my screen goes black, my keyboard and mouse lights go off and then it sounds like my PC is trying to take off. To fix this, I have to boot into safe mode and use DDU to uninstall the faulty drivers. I cannot update to the most recent drivers while in safe mode because of a digital signature error. It is important to note that when the newer drivers are being installed, the bar will often freeze at a certain point (varies from 40% to 70%) and then my screen will turn off, before restarting my PC into the same blank screen cycle as I mentioned before. I haven't actually seen the progress bar reach 100% and prompt me to restart my PC, so I feel as though something is inhibiting its ability to install properly and this is what is causing the issue. AMD support have only gotten me to test a bunch of different driver versions, none of which actually work. I have tried installing the new drivers without an internet connection, with Defender turned off and with the Windows Firewall turned off. My BIOS is fully updated, as is Windows. I have also tried to install the drivers on both of my drives to see if it is a problem with one of my drives, but the problem persists. I don't exactly have the means to test my GPU in another system (which AMD support has suggested I try), but I do have my old motherboard and CPU that I can test this with if it could help. Although this is not ideal as it isn't really as powerful as my current CPU. This issue stops me from playing some newer games that I would really like to play, so I would really like some kind of fix that doesn't require me to get a new card or change to NVIDIA just for a working product.Any potential solutions or help would be greatly appreciated. Hi all, I have windows 10, gtx 1070, and a ryzen 5 processor. Recently after a restart, my main monitor (LG 4k display port connection) is showing only half the screen. The right half is black/blank. When my main monitor is connected to my work laptop it shows fine. I’ve tried restarting both my monitor and computer and I’ve tried different ports on my graphics card as well as my monitor. I’ve updated my drivers to the latest versions and still no fix. Anyone have any ideas of what could be the cause? Additional info: My computer is a recent build and has been working fine for 3 months. I also have an HTC Vive Cosmos Elite. I’ve updated software for that recently as well. I don’t have much installed but steam, steam vr, adobe creative cloud, OBS, and HTC vive software. I have a three monitor set up and the other two monitors show fine. All three show fine when connected to my windows 10 work laptop.
