I've been hearing a lot of good things about the razer blade 14 but... I am not interested in gaming... I only want to video edit in 4K. Is the Razer Blade 14 good enough for HEAVY 4K edit? I'm talking about a 30 min video in 4K. If not, is the HP Z Book G3 a good laptop for 4k video editing? Which laptop would you recommend is best for 4K video editing? I am interested in performance, not portability; though...I still wouldn't buy an Alienware. Best laptop for 4K video editing?

Anyone know where I can find either an old blade pro or a 2012 or 2013 razer blade, trying to find something half decent for under 800 dollars.

Hi All Its got to the stage where I'll need to give up my desktop and beloved but dying 295x2 due to moving continents and travelling for work with a new job. I decided to go for a laptop because the company one just isn't good enough for what I need and being able to have a relatively ok gaming experience combined with an ok CPU and build/portability meant I went for a blade pro fhd with a 1060, they just had a decent sale on. I should be fine using the internal 1060 for a couple of months but will be looking at getting the core v2 (not the x) however do have a question on this. Plug and play especially around work really seems like a great option however I want the option to disable the GPU in the core to stop power draw when I'm working whilst still utilising the USB ports/ethernet (maintaining the plug and play at least for work). I'd had a look online about this and apparently people have been turning off their GPUs accidentally due to a popup and had to go into the device manager etc to try and fix it but the threads are incoherent at best.. Does anybody have a core and know how easy it is to disable and re-enable the GPU but maintain a USB/Ethernet connection? Many thanks

Hello community. Regarding to the "New Razer Blade Pro 17,3" GTX 1080 8GB Mid 2017" - It's not the same that Linus review wich get around 1/3 of bad laptops back to Razer for a poor support service. Hi, I am a 16 years old student. I had built a pc few months ago with an ryzen7 1700x, 2 1080Tis, and 32GB of ddr4 ram. but im going to study in new zealand (im from hong kong) and i really need a powerful and thin laptop for my daily school use, gaming and graphic designing. i think the razer blade pro 1060 is a good option but i found out that a razer blade stealth+razer core v2 is even cheaper than the razer blade pro. i can take one of my 1080Ti out of my pc cause i can't bring my pc with me to new zealand and my sister will only use my computer for youtube. so should i buy a razer blade pro 1060, or should i buy a razer blade stealth+razer core v2 and have a good use of one of my 1080Ti? also, is the razer blade pro 1060 better than blade stealth+core or is the blade stealth+core better than the blade pro? or is there any laptop out there that is as powerful and as thin and light weight as the razer blade pro but in a cheaper price? i need it before 25, Jan. thanks.

Hello there! I'm an avid PC gamer with little experience and know-how of most PC components and how or why they work, and I've been having issues lately. Okay, so I've recently made a quick decision to buy a Razer Blade laptop and seeing as I love gaming on a larger screen, I went with the 2015 Blade Pro. I've had it for over six months and at first I started to love it, but now I'm beginning to hate it. Sure it's thinner, lighter and more sleek than my four-year-old MSI GT70, but the four year old laptop still runs games better than this system. The Blade seems to run games and processes slow and unstably. For example, when I start up Fallout 4 at THE LOWEST POSSIBLE SETTINGS it runs good at 60 FPS for about 30 seconds before the frame rate drops to less than ten frames per second. The machine won't even run Black Ops 2, another game more than four years old (I think) at a stable thirty frames. I haven't done any modifications to the system but I'm horribly dissapointed with the way my system is running. I can give a list of games that run horribly below. -American Truck Simulator -Banished -Civilization 5 -Every Call of Duty -Every Bethesda game -Spintires -Basically every other game...ever I have the settings for the game processor to the high performance Nvidia processor and I've checked and yes, the 16 gigabytes of RAM are all active. could somebody tell me why it's not running as fast as it should be? Stats: (important ones anyway) Intel Core I7-4720HQ Nvidia GeForce 960 M Windows 10 16 Gigabytes of RAM The system runs very hot though, it seems Razer didn't take head dissipation into account as the thermal design only directs head away from the keyboard and where you would be resting your hands for a long time. The vents are tiny and the fan is always running loud when I'm mid-game. Sometimes surfaces that they didn't account for have almost literally burnt my fingers when touching them after an hour or two of straight gaming. The GPU temperature with World of Tanks running idol is 88-91 degrees Celsius, and the CPU temperatures in the same conditions are about 69-71 Celsius Can anybody help me with a solution? or would it just be smarter to sell the system and build my own PC?.
