Pc Specs: Gigabyte x570i aorus pro wifi Ryzen 7 5800x3d msi rtx4090 gaming x trio 32GB ram Focus GX 1000w PSU custom liquid cooling custom cable mod psu cables after completing my build my pc booted and was able to handle normal tasks not a problem. After loading a game my monitors and sound completely stopped working. (Black screen of death?) pc would sometimes reboot back to normal. Stress tested my CPU, RAM, and GPU. GPU was the culprit and only crashed when underload. I couldn’t figure out what was going on for the past 8 hours until I ran upon a post stating the used cablemods PCIE cables for their 4080/4090 GPU and after switching back to the adapter that was provided by the manufacturer it would work again. So I gave this a try and yes it worked and I heard a coil whine noise coming from my GPU which I never heard before but knew it was a thing with these cards. Everything runs and works now. So if you have a custom built machine with third party PSU cables this might be the fix!!

Hey guys/gals, Ive gotten myself into a real pickle here, so since around december ive been experiencing random blue screens of deaths/black screens of deaths where my whole system will lock up and the picture will appear almost "deepfried" and will proceed to reboot, at first i thought it was the install of windows 11 i had so i cleaned wiped everything, but it still continued even after doing it multiple times, every time a bsod happened it would throw up a different error code that referenced memory, so i thought my memory had gone bad, ran memtest86 overnight and it passed so -Ram=good I was suggested then that my motherboard may be at fault, which was at the time an msi b550 a-pro, so i rma'd the motherboard and used the money i got from the warranty claim to purchase an gigabyte x570 elite motherboard, it working alright until i was getting a couple of hypervisor bsods maybe due to me running the windows subsystem for android, So again i reinstalled windows yesterday and proceeded to go about as normal until last night when i was playing and the same bsod with the "deepfried colors" happened.... -motherboard=good At this point im at my witts end with this stuff, it could either be...... -Cpu -the powersupply -peripherals????? Any help would be super appreciated Side note- I did upgrade my gpu recently from a 2060 to an rtx 4070ti so its definitely not the gpu since it was happening on both of them. 040723-21265-01.dmp MemTest86-20230407-234400.log

I have an SSD and a HDD on my system. The SSD runs windows 7, the HDD runs windows 10. A couple of days ago, I was using win10 and it installed an update. When I booted my pc the next day, trying to boot into win7, I got the black screen of death. The screen is totally black, except for the cursor. This screen appears instead of the login screen and I can't bring up the task manager in any way. Booting win 7 into safe mode (any of the 3) results in the same black screen of death. Low-resolution video and Last Known Good Configuration all result in the same black screen of death. I can boot into win10 without any problems, but it says that I don't have permission to access the SSD. What should I do?

So today when I turned on my pc, it booted to a black screen. The cursor only shows after i move my mouse. I haven't done any updates recently so I don't what's causing this. When I press the caps lock key the light does turn on. The cursor sometimes randomly gets the blue loading circle for a few seconds multiple times like as if it's loading something. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello there! My laptop started black screening for no reason,I wanted to download a game on steam to my external hard drive but my internet adapter turned off, I turned it on from control panel but after it just black screneed. When I rebooted my apps loaded very very slow, I don't have any adware,malware or any virus. I tried to look an answer on google but my internet again went off, I did a backup of windows 11 and I am ready to install windows 7 with ESU updates, what should I do? I also get black screens with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION but I have my drivers updated. Here is my laptop model if anyone needs it:Asus VivoBook x512DA, AMD Ryzen 3500U with AMD radeon vega graphics 2.10GHZ,8GB ram (5.95 usable),512GB Kingston SSD,Windows 11 Home Edition. Black Screen as soon as it’s booted no curser, started happening after I pressed Network Booted in my BIOS settings. It’s not my cord or monitor already checked with a different computer. Please help me there is no YouTube video that’s helped.

I recently put a nvidea geforce gtx 630 on my pc. after installing the drivers my pc gets a bsod (blue screen of death) and just restarts i cant turn my pc on normally i can only use it from safe mode. the bsod is the video scheduler internal error.

hello im chris... i have just started in the whole computer world.... well iv been at it bout a yr now...but to the point i have an hp motherboard..intel celeron proc...geforce graph card...antec illusion case...antec 500w psu....iv hooked up car radio for aux.... wll anywho.. my other hard drive im running windows 8.1 was running just fine .. i added alienware desktop mod to it. had to reboot sigined in but nothing but black screen and courser... help me please...

Got new ssd, after struggles on end managed to boot from it through bios. Now the 4th problem gets me. I boot, don't touch anything and get black screen saying - I can't move from there - at least not to my knowledge "Reboot and select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device" Or I enter BIOS, DONT CHANGE ANYTHING- and it boots - I removed hard disk - still the same problem. My mind is blown for today enough with how unlogical some things are but oh well... If anyone can help me thanks, can't think at all after this whole hdd-> ssd thing but I wanna get it over with today

Hey guys! This is my first post here, and I'm really excited to be a part of this forum! This problem has been ravaging me for two weeks now; I've spent day and night trying to figure out the solution, but after hours of researching other forums and this forum, I could not find any answer (the solutions to previous problems simply didn't work for me ). So recently, my twin AMD Radeon 7970's in crossfire have been experiencing a major issue. Whenever I put a GRAPHICS load onto my computer, the screen turns dark, loses video signal, and the audio starts looping and buzzing, and the PC becomes unresponsive. The only way to get out of this is a hard restart. My system SPECS: MOBO: Asus Sabertooth 990FX (uses PCIe 2.0 16x slots) CPU: AMD FX-8150 8 core CPU Ram: Kingston HyperX BLU 2*8 GB Video Cards: two AMD Radeon 7970 in crossfire running latest drivers after clean install PSU: 1000W (can't remember name but it was the top notch at the store) HDD: Samsung 256 GB SSD Distilled water coolant So this issue started happening about a month ago, with its severity increasing. When it first started, it would start getting black screens periodically. However, now, it shuts down whenever I apply a video load, such as CINEBENCH or Furmark or any AAA video game. The temperature that it shuts down at is always between 60-70 C (I can actually predict with great accuracy every time when it will black screen during a Furmark test). I have spent nights trying to diagnose this problem, and I have narrowed it down to strictly graphics. I ran Prime95, and set it to test only CPU/RAM, and my system never freezes. Things I have tried: - reinstalling graphic drivers (trying every revision since 2012, made sure to properly uninstall drivers each iteration) - reinstalling Windows OS - using one 1 RAM stick and changing the slots - performing a VRAM test, only the graphic cards pass with perfect results - turning one card off by cutting power, and vice versa, and disabling crossfire and enabling it - changing my primary video cards - down clocking/over clocking the GPU speed and VRAM speed - monitoring GPU, VRAM and voltage regulator temperatures - using another monitor Guys, I am literally stuck on this problem. I have tried everything that does not involve buying new parts and replacing them from my system. I really hope someone could help me out. One more thing guys, are there any custom water-cooling computer repair services? At this point I am really desperate to revive my system. I would gladly pay to have this issue fixed without buying new components.

Wow, if you've already seen my previous posts, you would know this computer is a problem child. So, when I change the font in Photoshop, my workstation just outright crashes. Sometimes it bluescreens with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, sometimes it blackscreens, and then automatically restarts as if I just restarted it. If you could point me to something very soon, I would be very grateful. (Since I need to use this computer early tomorrow, and it's 8:50PM right now) Thank you

Important SpecsAMD Ryzen 2700xAMD R9 290x reference w/Waterblock installedAsus Prime X470 ProCorsair Vengence RGB Pro 8GBx2 3200mhz (clocked at 2133mhz auto) Thermaltake Toughpower RGB 850w PSUG'day mates just having troubles with getting my reference AMD R9 290x to not black screen under heavy usage eg - gaming (csgo ran fine for over an hour but higher graphical games it K.O's itself). I can use the card for any normal task YouTube at 8k etc etc with no worries. Games like F1 2018 or Rainbow 6 heat the card up more causing it to BSoD in about 5-10 minutes. It is only when heavy gaming tasks happen it decides to BSoD, however I can sometimes still get game sounds and menus pausing etc so it only affects the actual graphical part itself. I know when it's about to BSoD because the screen glitches with all sorts of patterns and colours. I have the system all watercooled (CPU/GPU) and the temps in loop have been what I thought it would be under load.CPU at idle sits at 40 C (seems oddly high after looking at online idle temps)GPU at idle sits at 35 C (that seems normal)Could my problems lie within the VRMS on the card? I have replaced the thermal compound with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut on the GPU die but I did not replace the thermal pads underneath and continued to use the old ones on there (they look quite old, oops should have changed them maybe). I also have that exact compound on the CPU heat spreader underneath my EKWB EK-SUPREMACY EVO AMD RGB but still have high temps. If anyone can help it would be much much much appreciated. Cheers Zac

Well I'm helping to fix a "black screen" win 10 laptop but it's more then just a normal "BSD"(.exe all ready exists) And to add insult to injury it's all in franch that I do not know. -First off the screen is black(I managed to add the icons by ending explorer.exe and starting again). -The task bar is working but noting is working on click. -running some programs work but most programs get errors like: - Microsoft edge:Explorer.exe Class not registered - and trying to enter any file gets me Explorer.exe attempt to reference a token that does not exist And the best part... I created a USB with windows to do a "repair"... And no options work, laterally noting exept the CMD works.

Hi there. I just got a new monitor and it is giving me some issues. On a few games like Star wars Battlefront 1 I can't get into the game. It makes my screen go black and I can't do anything with the monitor yet my other monitor is perfectly fine. Please can someone help.

posting for a friend, this forum is the absolute best at solving problems that i find so im gonna give this a shot. system will not boot past windows 7 log in screen. all we see is a black screen with a moveable mouse pointer. cannot access task manager whether we boot into safe mode or normal, no system restore was ever set and when i enter the f8 menu instead of bios to try last known good setup it doesnt work either, thank you so much.

So I just booted up my pc and after logging in to the desktop its just black screen with just the mouse cursor.Explorer.exe is gone cant use the start menu, and all I can do is ctrl alt del to open the task manager and run tasks.When I try to open explorer.exe or control panel through the task manager I get an error (C:\Windows\explorer.exe Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus.)I scanned with Mbam and SAS and found nothing but when I quick scanned with Avast it found this:Win64:dropper-gen [Drp].
