I have a Samsung QLED QN75Q70AAFXZA and a Samsung home theater HTD6500W. The TV I just recently got from my grandfather after he passed away and I can not figure out why the audio always sounds flat. It worked fine with my previous TV UN65RU8000F. So I figured maybe just get a new receiver or HTIB. Ned opinions on using my old speakers with a new receiver, or to buy a new HTIB. I would like to stay under $500 US. Figured might even be able to get something nice with Black Friday coming. Please, would love to hear any suggestions

Summary According to data from Adobe Digital Economy Index, the Xbox Series S was Black Friday’s most popular console. Adobe got this data from over 1 trillion visits to U.S. retail sites. Quotes My thoughts I think this story shows how people are increasingly buying cheaper consoles and how mass supply shortages are just increasing this trend. Also, it is clear many people either can't afford, or don't need a high end console right now and how Microsoft took advantage of this with the 300 price of the Xbox Series S(whether it was inadvertently or advertently). I am looking for a TV that is around the $1000 range plus or minus a few hundred dollars. I’m not too fond of OLED because of the risk of burning in. I was looking at Samsung Q 70 due to its 120 Hz refresh rate but I was also looking at the Q80. My question is are there other TVs in this price range that are better than these two TVs? I like Sony and LG brand TVs as well. Black Friday deals are going on so some of these more expensive TVs are in my price range

Hi guys, so black friday is just about here and I've been keeping an eye on slick deals for good deals for a prebuilt gaming rig but I honestly don't know what components to prioritize or the minimum specs to be looking for. So hopefully some of you can help me out here. Budget is $1000-$1500 for a medium to low high-end system that will last at least 3-5 years without falling behind too badly. Even though it would appreciated, I dont expect anyone to shop for me but just need some pointers on the main things to look for as I'm really out of the loop. Also is there any other place to look for deals other than slick deals? Thanks in advance.

purchase advice Advice on Recent Monitor Purchase (LG 24GL600F)
ClickForLife posted a topic in Displays
Hi there, I recently picked up an LG 24GL600F in the Black Friday sales for £116.99. It's a 144hz TN panel. I'm wondering if anyone can advise if I've took the right choice over some other products like the IPS MSI 241C or the AOC 24G2. The only thing that put me off these displays was the higher price tag and higher GTG response times. The selling points of the LG monitor was of course its 144hz refresh rate and it's stated 1ms (GTG). I mostly play fast paced games such as Fornite, Call of Duty and Halo. I'm in no way an esports player, and just play for fun. I also use the monitor for alot of office work and reading as I'm currently working from home. Have I made a good purchase, or should I have chosen a different panel? I'm currently using a Dell ST2220L TN panel with 5ms and 60hz, so it's definitely an upgrade! Also, are any fellow LG 24GL600F owners able to comment whether I made the right choice as I've now read some stories online about smeary text and blurriness on desktop. Thanks!-

Well, since Black Friday is on the horizon and because I am waiting to buy a graphics card with a discount, I've been searching and noting the actual prices as we are almost 1 month away from it. Best buy posted their black friday deals. I'm conflicted between this HP Victus and this Lenovo ideapad. I have a gaming desktop so I don't really care for the GPUs, but anything cheaper than these two are pretty bad. I'm a computer science major so I'd prefer more CPU cores. RAM is cheap and easy to upgrade, but I don't know how good Intel's hybrid architecture is for virtualization (I run windows, but do all my development tasks in WSL2). For a developer-type use case, would the 4 p-cores + 4 e-cores or 6 zen 3 cores be better? If there's any i7s or Ryzen 7s in a $500-ish laptop, I'd love to hear about it also.

Summary Newegg and Amazon have the new Black Friday deals live, with the flagship AMD Ryzen 9 7950X: normally $699, down to $574, the second-best Zen 4 processor in the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X: normally $549, down to $474 while the third-best Zen 4 processor in the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X: normally $399, down to $349, leaving the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X: normally $299, down to $249. Quotes My thoughts This is a great move to better compete with Raptor/Alder Lake parts. Hopefully the price cuts stick around and are not temporary. It should also be noted that Guru3D, Videocardz and eTeknix also saw price cuts in Europe which I included in the source links. The Ryzen 9 7950X has seen a price drop of 130 Euros in a week; meaning the CPU can be had for 649 Euros. the 7900X can be spotted for 519 EUR, the Ryzen 7 7700 at 379 EUR, and the 7600 around 297 EUR. I imagine that if these price drops are being seen worldwide that perhaps they are here to stay and not temporary. Now all they need is better priced motherboards and AM5 will be a much more compelling platform to recommend. As the title suggest, what could I expect in terms of sales for cyber monday and black friday this year (And in general) I am still getting familiar with the major sale events and such in Canada, so I don't have back history of relative experience to think back at, to strategize my spending. I am looking to get back into having a desktop again, will flip my gaming laptop and get a relatively cheap business laptop off the marketplace, to be my workhorse for school. Along with the savings from that and some other savings, put them into an ITX build I always wanted to do, but never had a reason to No GPU, will grab a random one off the marketplace for the time being, eventually get something decent for VR, when that's a bit more mature. Basically what I am planning to eye, minus go for the newer 3rd gen ryzen 5 instead, that's completely out of stock everywhere, and can't see myself seeing that one sale, with it selling like hot cakes, if the price is right, I'll just get the older one and TBH it's plenty for my use case, and VR.
-
So I'm about to start my second build. I have a case, psu, and motherboard. I'm just waiting to purchase the cpu, memory, etc. I saw some good deals on Newegg for the parts I needed. Then I thought Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I don't want to buy something now only to have the price drop in three weeks. Does anyone have an opinion on the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales for computer parts? Is it worth the wait or are the discounts no better than any other deal Newegg or Amazon might have going? Let me know I'd really appreciate the input.

Hey Everyone, I'm new here so I'm not sure where I should put this, but I hope I am in the right place. I am looking at upgrading my PC for Christmas and since Black Friday is rolling around, why not? I am looking an 2 pieces of equipment: an i7 CPU and a corresponding motherboard. I was wondering do these components generally drop in price around and on Black Friday? Thanks for the answers! These are the parts I want: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Processor-Threads-LGA1151-Socket/dp/B010T6DQTQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1478943027&sr=1-1&keywords=intel+i7 https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Mainboard-H110-Gaming-LGA1151/dp/B01ARHKHMQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1478943289&sr=1-2&keywords=lga1151+motherboard

Hi! I am planning on purchasing a gtx 1060, and with black friday a month away, I thought about waiting another month for substantial discounts. So I wanted to ask if you remember from past experiences, is there usually a big discount on graphics cards (especially new ones), or should I just buy it now cause it won't be worth it. (Although I lose nothing from waiting, I want to buy it asap.) Also, I should point out that I'm planning on buying the card from Amazon, as prices of graphics cards in my country are atrocious.

Build [WIP, NO PSU] : http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/RzQ2kT Was looking at spending around £1000 on a machine. I originally planned to buy all the parts around 14th November and build around that week. However, with Kabylake presumably not far away, is it worth it spending the money on this machine when I could wait and just buy the latest architecture when it drops? This wasn't the only reason I was reluctant to hold on: I currently have a decent-ish system, so I'm in no exact hurry to purchase a system, however, preferably before the new year would be most ideal Black Friday is on the 25th of November and I thought it might be wise waiting until then to see if I can save some money there Kabylake, as mentioned, is expected to drop within the next few months, I read somewhere its expected before 2017, but other sources say Q1 2017 GPU prices seem a little high, especially for the new pascal cards. I'm a little unsure if the prices are going to change, so any clarity on this would be helpful Considering these factors, most of which are completely subjective as to if they will be worth waiting for or not, or even the time of when they will happen. Any advice or guidance from people with more experience than me with this would be greatly appreciated.

Howdy team! First time posting so putting this in off topic until I can comb through these better and get them in their respective threads, but Amazon has already started their Black "insert a time of year, preferably in the fall" Deals. I hope to comb through these (as there are a ton) and pick out any decent tech related ones to save people time. So far I'm seeing a number of mice, keyboards, a few mics, and a few laptops (which seem to be mostly certified refurbished). So if your in need of a any of those sooner rather than later and want it cheap, they are there. Cheers, DEM PS. Not sure if posting to Amazon is appropriate (so no link, so search for it yourselves for now), but if it is I'll put some links up when I find good deals from solid brands as I find them.

Hi people, I am planning to build a rig with the help of my friend living in Canada who will then bring the component with him to Turkey. And I was wondering what the experienced users in Canada would say about the expected drops in prices, where to buy (physically or via amazon etc.) and so on. In principle, I will have ordered CPU (Ryzen 5 1600) GPU (evga superlocked 1060 6GB) Ram (G.Skill F4-3000c15d-16gvrb Ripjawsv ), mobo (Asus Rog Strıx B350-f ) and some peripherals if any room left in his luggage Ps. I have corsair ssd 240gb 3 years old so dont need ssd in principle. should I upgrade to m.2 ssd when got the chance? Thanks!!
