I'm coming to LTX with several PEVs. Anyone want to do a group ride around Vancouver? We can do a short ride around downtown for people with low range PEVs, and anyone with longer range we can go further after that. I'm up for a bunch of rides, so if anyone wants to do some exploring we can work out plans. Better to ride in a group plus we can geek out about our gear.

Hello everyone, Linus has been talking in one WAN show why he enjoys riding a bike. It had to do with focusing only on driving because otherwise he would get into an accident and that it allows him to not think too much about anything else or something along those lines. I remember I really liked that quote and would like to know how it went precisely. If anyone knows what I am talking about and is able to provide more information I would be more than happy to reward them. Thank you all in advance, pett73

hi all.... Yep I'm asking that here of all places I looked around a year or so back found nothing, I been looking again recently and again I find basicly nothing. I'm after a main front projector light for computing most of my compute is on well lit road but just enough is out of town that i do need a decently bright front light. I've been really trying to put off buying a light that isnt USB C rechargeable as im liking to keep the light going for years and surely soon micro will finally die??? Cheers all!

Hi everyone, i am looking to buy a second hand motorcycle and i am having trouble to decide and i hope some of you guys/gals can help me with it. I don't know jack about cars or motorbike, i don't know anything about it but i did my homework and i am pretty much understand when it comes to feature related to performance and comfort such as slipper clutch, abs and so on but i don't really know much when it comes to cylinder size and what it does to the bike aside from having more powa and lower gas mileage. And i have never ride a 250cc bike so there's that. But here is the main problem, i can get a second hand 250cc bike from say 2016-2019 for the same price as a new 150cc bike from 2020-2021 and i was wondering whether the cylinder size really make much of a difference when it comes to performance and overall riding experience. I live in Indonesia and i got a few 250cc second hand bike to choose but the most prominent is Kawasaki Ninja Fi. And since we are talking about comfort, i am 168cm tall at 53kg. I was wondering if my height and body weight will play part on choosing the bike. Thank you in advance

Hello, About 3 years ago installed a new v-brake caliper on my bike but now i think i overtightened the holding nut on the right side too much as It got stuck and all my attempts to remove the nut completely rounded the Allen nut. Now the proper size Allen wrench no longer fits and my front brake caliper spring is broken. Is there any good way to remove the bolt? Without any power tools. Thanks for your response

Hey everyone. I've had a crappy Walmart "full suspension" "mountain bike" for around 7 years, I'm 16 now. It's a ' 24" ' Next PowerClimber with falcon shifters if that matters (one of my friends had the same bike with different derailleurs and shifters, strange). Finally getting a new bike, would like a hybrid, preferably with front suspension and trigger-fire shifters, for around or under $300, around $250 preferred. Disk brake(s) would be great but not a deal breaker. I can't buy used (parental safety concerns). I live around 15 minutes away from Halter's Cycles in New Jersey if that seems like a good place to look around. Right now looking at a Schwinn DSB from Walmart... yes BBS I know but cheap and seems decent for the price. I'm around 5'8" 170lbs but 16 so hopefully will grow so keep that in mind. I don't mind assembling the bike myself, would be a fun learning experience. not sure what section to put this in lel

Probably not the most appropriate forum to post this on but I figured if I posted on a cycling forum, I'd only get results from experienced cyclists. When it comes to cycling, I'm practically a newbie. I last properly rode a bike about 10 years ago when I was in school. I briefly rode someone's bike for like 3 seconds recently just to check I could sort of remember how to ride one. I could. It was so short because he was reluctant to give it to me in the first place in case I fell over or something (lel). Though whether I'd be able to ride one on the road is another question. So now I'm going to work and my workplace is about 40 minutes away via bike. Is it a bad idea for me to buy a bike to start riding it to work? I have asked people around and most of them, especially those in the local bike shop, say that I'll just get used to it and not feel so intimidated by it. But I'm not sure. I'll be spending around £600-£700 in total on gear and everything. Add onto that the fact that my contract ends in about 4 months and I'm unsure if they'll keep me on there. I have not received any word on this yet. So considering these, would it be a bad idea for me to buy such an expensive bike and start riding now? I'm not obese but neither am I 'in shape'. I get exhausted running pretty quickly, though have no problem with persevering. Riding a bike is certainly what I want to do. Would wake me up in the mornings and keep me in shape. I also got used to walking up hills from College (with a bag). So I'm also not someone lazy who gives up after 5 minutes. ----- As a side Q, what kind of bike should I get? I'm deciding between a road or hybrid. I will most likely get a hybrid and I'm also thinking of getting one of those bikes with 'dipped' handles (that cyclists use for speed). Though I'm not sure if I'll like one of those bikes over short distances and in close areas (off road). If I don't stay here after my contract ends for whatever reason, I might end up with a bike I only use over short distances, if at all.

Morning all, Just started getting into road cycling (thanks JayzTwoCents) and I'm now looking to get my first road style bike. Haven't got a clue what's good for me anything ( I know I need to get sized up first) but i have a budget of an absolute max of £300, I know this doesn't seem like much for a road bike but to put it simply, I don't have the money. I would prefer new, but I am not going to turn down a good second hand bike. Anyone here a keen cyclist that could give me some good tips? Thanks in advance

Hola peeps I'm about to do my drivers licence for motorbike with unlimited power/engine volume and i just saw some video about CBT (those from UK will know what it is), correct me if i'm wrong, but that's basically a test to get certified to drive 125cc or less bikes and it's a 1 day "test" that you can't really fail, unless you're completely incapable to ride a bike. my question is, how it is in your country, is it hard/expensive to get it? for me i gotta go to drivers school for a week, pass a theory exam, that so far, there are only 2 in 10 ppl on average passing it and after that i can sit on the bike and drive for at least 20 hours, before i can take my driving exam all together it'll cost me around 2.000€, if i make it in 20 hours of driving the teacher decides when you're ready for driving exam, so it can be over 20 hours if you're not good enough it sickens me that even tho i got my car drivers license for 7 years already, i still need to go back to school and pass the theory exam, which is utter BS, out of 3.000 available questions, you get 40 and you must get at least 37 right and the questions are as stupid as they get, that's why there is only 2 in 10 ppl passing it does anyone else have such hard times getting it? it would make me happy! yeah, i enjoy in others pain

Hello, so I was wondering if there's anyone in this Forum who can help me with this. My MTB Hardtail got stolen a few weeks back, luckly I got the money back from my insurance. Now I'm looking for a new bike and since I'm just riding aroung town and have fun taking every possible jump I can find, I was wondering if an BMX wouldn't be the better choice for me. I'm 184cm tall and have a budget of 500€ absolute max., better would be 400€. I've no experience with BMX, just searched for some infos on the internet. I'm currently looking @ a "wethepeople Justice" with 21" top tube lenght (I heared because of my size a 21" would be better). Anyways...as u see, I nearly got no clue and need some help. I would really appreciate if someone could give me some advice on all this. Tiger

So I saw two people today on the same type of bike today and I'm wondering if anybody can help me identify what bike it is. It has this whole retro urban road bike swag going on. I searched a bit myself and found these: #1 http://www.theurbanbike.com/?portfolio=siegfried-%E2%80%93-the-classic #2 http://www.retrospecbicycles.com/mantra-fixie.html#size #3 http://www.cooperbikes.com/bikes/1/Sebring Know any other brands or bikes like this? I still haven't found the one I saw. Specifics: Flat horizontal bars (no ram horn shaped or vertical ones) Pretty sure it's a single speed Frame like the ones in the links Preferably lightweight (aluminum or titanium) Chrome/silver That urban minimalist look Skinny road race tires Saw it in the Netherlands if that helps.
