Greetings Community I have a bad Lian Li 120mm fan that came with my Lian Li Lancool II. I am looking to replace it with the most cost effective option possible. I have considered going with something from Noctua but I was unsure if it is the best bang for my buck at the moment. I would like something with good airflow, NO RGB (due too the possible interference with the case RGB strips), decently low volume, and definitely under $20. An all black or grey fan is preferred. If something can be found around $10 that would be great. I also would like something with good longevity. I would like to replace the stock fans in my PC case, the Cooler Master MB500. I am putting a 360mm radiator in the front, and I want to put ARGB static pressure fans on that radiator. The fans I'm thinking of using in the rest of the case are Deepcool CF120 fans. They seem really good for airflow (exhaust in the top and rear of the case). If anyone can tell me about some good fans to choose from, I'd really appreciate it.

You have to say in what situation the fan performs the best, and what you recommend using them for. Example: I like the Gentle Typhoon fans for ... , use them for your rad or cpu cooler, etc

short version: if you need 120mm fans, there is no other choice, this is the fan to get. long version: so I got some Gentle Typhoon's (1850 rpm version) to replace my Noctua NF-F12 and I was blown away (pun intended)! For once a product lived up to its reputation, not just for performance, but also for noise. They're mounted on my ST30 240mm rad in pull. I sit so my head is about 2 1/2 feet away from the fans, and they're actually silent! I only start to hear it at about 900 rpm and just barely, I really have to listen for it to hear them. My Noctua's were easily audible at 900 rpm, and in pull on a rad produced kind of a whine. Not so with the GT's, at a quiet yet audible speed they just have an airflow sound to them. When you turn them up to 1200 rpm plus then you hear a combination of motor noise and airflow noise. In my opinion the NF-F12's were annoying and unbearable at 1000 rpm for extended periods. But I could easily run the GT's at 1000 rpm without being annoyed by noise properties or level. The GT's are also a little quieter and flow more air at full speed. According to my fan controller they go up about 1700 rpm, the Noctua's went upto about 1450. They're also better than my Noiseblocker eLoop fans. But the comparison here is a little apple to oranges cause the I have 3 eLoop's mounted in push on an ST30 360 rad, they're also on the front where as the GT's are on the top. So being 3 and mounted on the front counts to making them louder, but mounted in push counts to quieter less annoying sound. They start being audible at about 800 rpm. I have the 1300 rpm version, on my fan controller they top out at 1150. I turned my GT's upto the same 1150, and both at the same speed the GT's are a decent bit quieter. Another advantage that GT's have over the eLoops is that they can be mounted in pull, the eLoops can't. Compared to the Akasa Apache, its no contest. My 140 Akasa is ok if I remember right (been a long time since I used them), but my 2 120's have really loud motor noise at lower rpm's. Even at the lowest possible speed I could get them to spin, they're the loudest thing in my system by a significant margin. conclusion: unless you absolutely need PWM (in which case I recommend one of the PWM versions of the eLoop), the Gentle Typhoon is the only fan that should be considered. I'm going to buy 3 more to replace the 3 eLoops on my 360 rad the next time I take apart my loop

I did a comparison of the new Noiseblocker NB-eLoop Fans to the Cooler Master Sickle Flow fans, and some XSPC Raystorm fans. These fans are a little expensive, but are REALLY quiet and still push a lot of air. They have a very unique design, where they were developed after birds in flight to reduce the vortexes produced on the tips of the fins that give you that audible thump thump thump. The blades themselves aren't individual, they're actually one solid rotor. Feel free to let me know what you all think, any constructive criticism is always appreciated. I am considering the Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta line and need to chose between 120 and 140 fans. With the 80mm thick rad I need a pressure optimized fan. There are a lot of good 120 fan for static pressure, but I have not been able to find to many good 140 fans. Basically I cannot chose between a smaller rad with better fans or a bigger rad with worse fans. Tl;dr 1. 120 quad with great fans VS 140 quad with meh fans? 2. What fans to put on them(NF-F12, Corsair SP120, NF-A14, ect) Also I'm thinking of a weird configuration for my rad's. I'm thinking Fan->rad->fan->rad->fan-> Any thoughts on stacking rads like this? System?(not speced yet still just a thought problem) -Overclocked Haswell -2-way SLI, GTX-770 or above Thanks.

I'm thinking of using two on a CPU cooler, they have a high maximum CFM for when the CPU goes above 70degrees and I am sure they will spin very quietly at lower RPMs.. I'm sure they would perform better on say... Prolimatech/Thermalright/Thermaltake heatsink than the stock fans.
